Background:
For many generations, the Gansao remained an independent faction. This,
however, changed with the formation of the Hidden Villages. For their own
survival, the Gansao created an alliance with Iwagakure, but the clan did
not move to the Land of Earth; instead, they remained in their home
country: the Land of Rice.
For years, the Gansao have run under an apprenticeship system, training
their young in the ways of the ninjutsu arts: only the children of the
strongest would be apprenticed to other ninja. Those children who didn't
live up to their expected potential become outcasts. Although ninja
students are now often sent to the Iwagakure Ninja Academy, they are still
often apprenticed to a member of the clan to teach them the clan's ways and
techniques.
The leader of the clan is called the Fukumune, and he is the eldest son or
daughter of a ninja who has previously held the title of Gansao-Daimyo. The
Gansao-Daimyo are the clan champions: the strongest in the clan at one
point or another. The line of succession for Fukumune is often complicated,
and much debated.
Specialties:
The Gansao develop all three shinobi disciplines: Taijutsu, Ninjutsu and
Genjutsu. However, they are partiuclary known for two things: powerful
Genjutsu, and their Kekkei Genkai Kokuhousou: the Dark Cloak. When the Dark
Cloak awakens in a Gansao, it is most evident in the Chakra, which visibly
changes to a deep purple rather than the common electric blue. These
alterations to Chakra only serve to make the clan's Genjutsu and
Chakra-based Taijutsu more effective, as it allows them to better force
their chakra into their opponents' bodies.
