What Came Before
Before the founding of the Hidden Villages, shinobi were merely individuals and clans who worked as mercenaries for the various daimyo. The violence between these ninja, with their ever shifting alliances, peaked four years before the start of Naruto MUSH: Rivalary 2.0. Each Hidden Village has its own story about how its clans came to peace, and how they stabilized the borders of the nations they were within. Over the course of a year each of the Hidden Villages were founded, and by three years before the start of the MUSH the borders of the nations had become stabilized. For the first time the ninja each had a nation that they could call home. The peace is fragile, however. Old rivalries die hard, both within the newly formed Hidden Villages, and between them. And now, three years after the formation of the Hidden Villages, tensions are running high, and many people are wondering if forming into villages will only lead to warfare between ninja on a scale not ever seen before.
Beyond this point are the IC events of the MUSH as they are publicly believed to have occurred. Please note that if you are a new player, or if you did not experience these events you possibly might not have IC knowledge of the events unfolding. You are more than welcome to integrate some sections of the news into your background. The history will continuously be updated as more and more events are added.
