+news Jounin
Jounin ("high ninja") are highly-experienced ninja with great individual
skill. They are often sent on A-rank missions, and experienced Jounin may
also be sent on S-rank missions (the most difficult and dangerous
missions). Jounin are sometimes assigned as sensei for Genin and Chuunin
teams.
In order to be promoted to Jounin, a character must first obtain the rank
of Chuunin, and then display both advanced capability IC (through high
stats and skills) and considerable roleplaying talent and service OOC
(through running missions and plots for other players). After that, a
character may be considered for Jounin status. A Village Kage may recommend
a character to be advanced to Jounin, but the final decision is made by
Plot Staff.
There are a number of factors involved in becoming a Jounin. It is more
than simply total XP. A character must display leadership both ICly and
OOCly, and must have active involvement in (including leading) plots,
missions, and campaigns. Good behavior must also be demonstrated, both ICly
and OOCly. A character should not request advancement to Jounin from Plot
Staff. Please speak to your Kage first.
For more details, see +news icpromotions.
* Jounin may NOT be chosen directly from CharGen, unless your old character
held the rank of Jounin, and you have Staff approval.
