+news JutsuRanks
There are six ranks of Jutsu, the most powerful Jutsu being S-rank, and the
weakest Jutsu being E-rank. These ranks apply for Ninjutsu, Taijutsu,
Genjutsu, Juinjutsu, Jikuukan, Senjutsu, and any other ninja techniques.
S-rank:
Techniques of this rank are classified as techniques used by only the most
highly-experienced Jounin or Kage-level shinobi. S-rank techniques are
almost always unique to a single user, and are usually that user's
trademark Jutsu. An example of an S-rank Attack would be Syphon Blade
(+attack/show syphon-blade). An example of an S-rank technique from the
Naruto Series would be Orochimaru's Living Corpse Reincarnation (Fushi
Tensei).
A-rank:
These techniques are also associated with Jounin or Kage-level ninja, but
they are not as unique as S-rank techniques, and also not as powerful.
A-rank techniques are often very useful, but need extensive training before
they can be mastered. Most Kinjutsu techniques begin at A-rank. An example
of an A-rank Defense would be Clashing Sword Defense (+defense/show
clashing-sword-defense). An example of an A-rank Attack from the Naruto
Series would be Hatake Kakashi's Chidori (Raikiri).
B-rank:
B-rank techniques are most often techniques intended to be used by ninja of
the Jounin or Chuunin level. These techniques are usually quite useful, and
can be learned relatively easily if enough time is given to practice. An
example of a B-rank Skill would be Shadow Clone (+skill/show shadow-clone).
An example of a B-rank Attack from the Naruto Series would be Momochi
Zabuza's Water Dragon Projectile Technique (Suiryuudan no Jutsu).

C-rank:
Techniques of this rank are most often utilized by ninja of the Chuunin
level. These are most often the first techniques a ninja will acquire that
necessitate a certain level of training. An example of a C-rank Attack
would be Great Breakthrough (+attack/show great-breakthrough). An example
of a C-rank Attack from the Naruto Series would be Jiraiya's Toad Oil
Projectile (Gamayudan).
D-rank:
D-rank techniques are often the first techniques a ninja will learn after
leaving the Ninja Academy. Thus, they are usually associated with Genin. An
example of a D-rank Defense would be Body Flicker Technique (+defense/show
body-flicker-technique). An example of a D-rank Defense from the Naruto
Series would be Oboro's Haze Clone Technique (Oboro Bunshin no Jutsu).
E-rank:
The lowest of the Jutsu ranks. This rank is most often used when
classifying abilities known by Academy Students and very basic ninja. A
number of E-rank techniques must be learned before a Student can graduate
(see +news student). With time, most E-rank techniques become second nature
for seasoned shinobi. An example of an E-rank Attack would be Physical
(+attack/show physical). An example of an E-rank Skill from the Naruto
Series would be the Clone Technique (Bunshin no Jutsu).
