The Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist is an organization within Kirigakure.
The moniker of the group explains well their composition: they are master
swordsmen who wield powerful swords. There are only seven such swords, and
so there will only ever be seven swordsmen. The swords, though of varying
ability, are of equal power, and no one sword is considered greater than
another. They are:
Kubikiribocho ("Decapitating Carving Knife") is perhaps better known as the
Executioner's Blade. It is a tremendous sword bearing resemblance to a huge
butcher's knife. At the end of the blade there is an empty semi-circle,
which is used to decapitate an opponent. This sword has the ability to
regenerate using the iron absorbed from the blood of those it cuts down. It
has also sometimes been referred to as the Seversword.
Samehada ("Shark Skin") is considered the most terrifying of the seven
great swords. It has the appearance of a giant knife covered in shark
scales, the end of which is a giant mouth filled with teeth. It is a
sentient, living weapon which has the ability to "eat" Chakra. It is also
known as the Greatsword.
Nuibari ("Sewing Needle") is a sword in the shape of a long needle, a thin
wire attached to the base. The sword is used to pierce an opponent, who is
then - once the blade passes through - skewered on the wire, giving the
swordsman the ability to sew together his enemies into human bundles. It is
also called the Longsword.

Kabutowari ("Helmet Splitter") is a two-part weapon: a single-sided axe
joined by a length of chain to a large hammer. The swordsman uses the axe
to hack into his opponent, and then brings the hammer down to push the axe
all the way through. It is said that this sword is capable of breaking
through any and all defenses. It is also known as the Bluntsword.
Shibuki ("Splash") is a large sword which has explosive tags incorporated
into it. There is a flat piece of metal lined up behind the blade, myriad
explosive tags attached to it, combining explosives and swordsmanship in
one deadly weapon. It is also called the Blastsword.
Kiba ("Fangs") are twin swords imbued with lightning, which increases their
cutting power. They are said to be the sharpest swords ever forged, and are
known to be able to cut through almost anything. They are also referred to
as the Thunderswords.
Hiramekarei ("Brandish") is the double-handled, bandaged sword that is
capable of storing and emitting the swordsman's Chakra, which may then be
used to take various forms. It is also know as the Twinsword.
