Sharingan is a Dojutsu (pupil technique) comprised of four levels. Each level has one additional tomoe (a comma-shaped symbol) in each eye. Sharingan has a variety of abilities attached to it, ranging from predicting movement, to hypnosis, and even copying the Ninjutsu or Taijutsu used by another ninja.
In Naruto MUSH: Rivalry, Sharingan grants characters who have this ability more than just the stats from the Transformation itself. A character with Sharingan who is struck by a jutsu that does not require a kekkei genkai or transform may learn that jutsu, whether or not they have any of the pre-requisites for that jutsu. If an Uchiha with Sharingan-I was struck by the B rank Water Dragon Bullet Technique, they could apply for the skill, even if they had no other Water Style jutsu. This comes with a cost. There is no D rank Sharingan, and the C rank 'Sharingan I' costs 4 PP. 'Sharingan II' costs 3 PP. 'Sharingan III' costs 6 PP. 'Mangekyou Sharingan' is not commonly available for applications, and would require special RP and Staff permission.
Sharingan Lv. 1 (1 Tomoe - C rank)
Sharingan's first level benefits motion perception. It allows the user to perceive more clearly an individual's physical movements, and from that judge what the individual is seeing from their point of view — essentially gaining insight into what the given target may be planning to do next.
Sharingan Lv. 2 (2 Tomoe - B rank)
This level involves the user of the Sharingan being able to improve their perceptions further by granting photographic memory that allows easier copying of jutsu. One can also start to predict Ninjutsu and see through Genjutsu.
Sharingan Lv. 3 (3 Tomoe - A rank)
Rather than relying on the motion perception provided by the first two levels of Sharingan, this level permits the individual to actually PREDICT movement. This manifests as the ability to see an attack before it is actually made. As well, at this level there are additional benefits. The 3rd level of Sharingan allows for hypnosis of the enemy, either by seeing them, or being seen. This allows the Sharingan-user to confuse the enemy and slow down their reaction time. One has a good mastery of Ninjutsu and Genjutsu perception as well.
Mangekyou (Full Eyes Sharingan - S Rank)
There are very special conditions for achieving this level of Sharingan, and the full scope of its power is unknown, due to its rarity. There are side-effects to using it, such as great cost in Chakra, and eventual blindness, but for some the power to be gained is worth the consequences.
