Transformations

+news Transformations

This +news file will break down the capabilities and possibilities of
Transformations (TFs) by rank. For details on how to use TFs in combat,
please see +news cmtransformations. For information on purchasing costs for
TFs, see +news skillcosts. For exact TF bonuses and ability costs, see
+news tfcosts.

D-rank: the most basic of TFs. These TFs give a bonus of two Stat points.
It is the first rank of TFs that a shinobi can learn. Thy are cheap to use
and activate, and place minimal strain on the shinobi (though prolonged use
can cause problems for weaker and less-skilled ninja). D-rank TFs provide
+1 to two Stats, or +2 to one Stat at an increased cost per action.

C-rank: the second level of TF. These TFs give a bonus of four Stat points.
Usually, C-rank TFs require a D-rank TF to build from. C-rank TFs provide
+2 to two Stats, or +3 to one Stat and +1 to a second Stat at an increased
cost per action.

B-rank: increasing in both cost and power, this TF gives a bonus of six
Stat points. Again, B-rank TFs usually require a C-rank TF to build from.
This rank provides +2 to three Stats, or +3 to two Stats at an increased
cost per action.

A-rank: nearly the pinnacle of TFs. Again, building on previous TFs is
usually required to achieve A-rank. Unlike previous TFs, A-rank TFs may
distribute 10 Stat points as desired, but no single Stat may exceed +4.
There is no increased cost per action based on Stat distribution.

S-rank: the maximum level of TFs. S-rank TFs may distribute 16 Stat points
as desired, but no single Stat may exceed +5. There is no increased cost
per action based on Stat distribution.

E-rank: these are special TFs which are not based on normal TF rules.
E-rank TFs REDUCE your Stats (for sparring or holding-back purposes). TFs
which reduce Stats will always be E-rank, regardless how many Stats are
reduced. E-rank TFs always cost one Stamina to activate.

Rank+: TFs which are in-between ranks. For example, D-rank+ TFs give a
total bonus of +3 (falling between D-rank and C-rank). The three ways to
acquire Rank+ TFs are: be in a clan which gives a special TF bonus, be a
Jinchuuriki (who automatically gain Rank+ TFs at normal TF costs based on
their Bijuu), or use a special TF chain, such as Chakra Gates (+news chakragates). If you wish to apply for a Rank+ TF, please contact Staff for
approval BEFORE applying.
