Born in the Land of Fire, Kuma had a rocky start coming into his lifestyle as a ninja. Before becoming one, he practiced with his father and showed lots of potential, but also was recognized due to his large appetite and his increasing weight. He liked to stir up trouble over food most times, especially in his mind, when he didn't think he had enough. His family tended to cut him off as a punishment as well as the occasional lack of funds in hard times. After training with other members of his family and other families at a young age, he tended to eat there more and do the same to them, consuming anything and everything he could find as well as anything and everything he had on him…which is usually a inventory of snacks and goodies. After filling in his obese body with an average height, bringing him to an overall chubbiness, he seemed to work harder to take the focus off his appetite, and became the top of his class, an acheivement few Akimichi have. This wasn't because of his intelligence or his skill in Genjutsu, two things he has always done average in but really nothing extraordinary.

After becoming a Genin at age 12, he worked hard for the next three years to continue this progress, to not be slowed down in reaching his goal at becoming strong and confident in himself other than feel bad about his weight. He took the name calling and other things more serious than he ever had after he had proved himself to be good at what he did in training. Several small Rank D missions and a couple of Rank C, and he began to move up and become slightly more recognized, each of these missions seeming harder than his training with the wars involved.

After completing an A ranking mission by protecting someone he accompanied in his former team, he was able to get that ambassador back to his village safe. The mission was a simply carry and go…but it soon turned to be a grudge match with a group of thugs against this elected man…and him, his two teammates and their jounin fought hard and beat them away. This mission allowed him to become a Chuunin by what merit he showed in the mission itself. He soon learned how to walk up trees two years after becoming a Genin, and shortly learned how to water walk the year before that mission.

After going up a rank and going onto to other missions, he continued to strive hard for greatness in the midst of all his weakness. Those things got him where he is now. Though none of his future seems to be as tough as what he has encountered, he still can't wait for that challenge ahead.

He has hopes to bring honor to his family and village under this position of intermediate leadership. Also, he hopes to gain a job cooking somewhere nearby, even if he does fight his appetite every now and then to keep the food out of his stomach and into the customers. Much can be hoped to be seen with this young Akimichi and his training into even greater roles. A caring and young member of society just wanting to do his duty.

Kuma is very laid back, tending to not really overact or care about much of anything besides food, family, friends, and fighting… That is right.. the four f's. o_O

Appearance

The chubby fluffball of a chuunin in front of you wears the typical clothing of his rank, the vest, the pants, his kunai pouch and everything where it usually goes. The forehead protector he wears fits snugly right above his brow, the long red strands of cloth tied off at the back dangle midway to his back. Underneath his vest is a matching shirt like cloth of red that is loosely placed on his shoulders, his right sleeve coming down to his elbow, and his left completely cut off from the rest of the garb. Below his blue eyes are a set of marks, two tribal like triangles facing downward, a distinction of the Akimichi clan. From the top of the forehead protector protrudes long dark brown strands of hair that seem to flow smoothly in an easy breeze. His chin is covered in small amounts of stubble showing that he is still going through that stage of puberty. Accompanying his garb, is usually a pair of punching wraps around his hands and forearms.

Timeline

Age 12: Becomes Genin, Learns his first Taijutsu technique, Gets his first kiss.
Age 13: Begins to learn how to cook, Learns how to Tree walk.
Age 14: Learns how to water walk, masters his own way of cooking, loses 20 lbs.
Age 15 : Takes on a job at the ramen house as an apprentice chef in anything not ramen, Gains 20 lbs back with extra bit of height, Becomes Chuunin, Begins forming a team.
