Born the son of two Ramen Shop owners, his parents thought he would amount to nothing and follow in their footsteps. They groomed him for such, but he fought against them, went to school, graduated, earned Genin status, and has obtained the rank of Chuunin. His goal? To prove he can be the best!

Kazuo was not born into a clan and as such wasn’t truly expected to amount to much by his parents. They owned a small ramen shop and expected that he would take over when he got older. But what they didn’t account for was his rambunctious nature that led him to get into all kinds of trouble and not usually the easily forgiven kind of trouble. He was, to be plain, a criminal. Even from the youngest age he was causing trouble and developing his natural abilities. He was known to even go so far as being somewhat of a bully.

But there was also a side to him regarding his schooling and his learning. His parents lack of belief in him angered him to the point where he became determined to harness his abilities, predominantly the ones in Taijutsu which he seemed to have a bit of a proficiency in utilizing. Between practicing hard outside of school and beating people up he had plenty of time to learn and plenty of time to practice. School was a nuisance, but one that he tolerated for the availability of teachers that could further his learning.

One of the teachers took on schooling him after school, further toughening him up and helping him in his development. It was through this that they learned that he had absolutely no skill in Genjutsu and very minimal skill in Ninjutsu. Having known his Taijutsu prowess, the teacher took on assisting him in developing his own first ability. His lanky legs give him reach so he developed an attack utilizing his legs and excelled in this, his first skill that put him ahead of the others.

He graduated from school, but not the Academy. He didn't become a Genin Equivalent until was 17, joining one of the teams to further his training and prove that he was capable of being one of Sunagakure’s best shinobi. He progressed in strength and skill, moving forward to become a Chuunin by the age of 18. There he currently resides, one of the villages tough shinobi.

But many changes have taken place in Kazuo since his graduation to the rank of Genin. Where before he was one to blatantly seek to cause trouble, he’s become more stoic and calm, not seeking to cause trouble, but accepting of who and what he is. He believes his parents will never respect him and so has cut off all ties with them. He also believes that many of the shinobi in the village do not accept him because he is not from some great and powerful clan. This belief drives him to search for greater power, to train constantly.

He is a bit distant, but he can be friendly towards people whom he has taken a liking to, which aren’t very numerous. Often people make him angry and so he avoids them. Other times he’ll outright challenge them to a spar to see who is the stronger. He wants to prove he is the strongest, to become the Kazekage, to protect those that he deems need protecting, and, most of all, prove that he is not someone destined to become the owner of a Ramen shop just because he’s not a part of a clan.

In the past he was the trouble maker. He caused problems and he enjoyed it. Of late, he's become the stoic, calm warrior. He may say little or he may say much. If he doesn't like you, you will know it because he's liable to challenge you to a no-holds-barred fight. If he does, watch out: he will hurt you viciously. If he likes you, count yourself lucky because very few get the honor of being liked. Not even women.

Appearance

Kazuo is relatively tall, standing at 6'0" in height. His body is long, lean, and muscular, giving the appearance of someone who would train for long hours to tone his body. He has spiked, dark hair set above slender eyebrows. Dark blue eyes peer out beneath his bangs, calm and focused. His lips are almost always fully pressed together, not showing any hints of emotion.

Black, baggy pants adorn his legs, tucked into black combat boots. Tucked into the belt line of his pants is a tight, white shirt that fits perfectly to his body, showing off each and every muscle that he has. Wrapped around his waist is a chain which he uses like a belt.

In an encounter in the village center, Kazuo met the strange shinobi named Itami who also happens to be on the council. Kazuo, completely unaffected by the fact that she holds rank over him, is rather impassive about their meeting, waiting for long periods to do anything she says and not completely answering her questions. He doesn't particularly like her as he thinks she's too interested in the amount of power she has.
