Fukuzawa Koudo is a twenty-two year old senior sand ninja with the affinity for three out of five chakra elements, and one of his goals is to learn all five. His life has been a long, but short journey so far, and his whole story is yet to be told.

Born in a village on the northern border of the land of wind, close to the land of earth, his parents were a couple in love that decided to get married and have a baby. His father, Takumi, was a crafstmen of swords and knives. His mother a strong and beautiful woman with a small figure and long hair, by the name of Yuina, but neither of his parents were skilled in the secret ninja arts. Fukuzawa Yoshito, His grandfather, on the otherhand was a retired shinobi, and thought that it took his son long enough to have a baby that might be a suitable pupil for him to pass on the Fukuzawa legacy to, because he didn't have much time left.

When he was about five years old, Koudo started talking and learning very quickly, the boys talent was evident. Grandfather Yoshi was quick to confront his son about training the boy, and Takumi proudly accepted. They covered all grounds of study, and he took time off normal school to focus on his grandpa?s teachings about using the elements found in nature for jutsu, until the age of fourteen when Yoshito passed away. Granpa Yoshi had successfully taught his grandson how to use his first chakra element, Earth, and had also put him through the grinder training him physically, but some days he?d bring in friends as guest teachers to show Koudo various techniques, a treat for the eager child who loved to learn new techniques.

After the death of Grandfather Yoshito, his sensei, Koudo set out to see and learn from nature, the different places, and their people. His goal was to visit the most amazing places the world had to offer, and learn all the jutsu he had learned so much about. He spent years traveling and putting his knowledge to use, researching and practicing ninjutsu in natural places of beauty all over the world including mountains, forests, swamps, plains, deserts, seas, as well as, volcanic islands and tropical environments. It was during these four years of being a traveler that he learned his second chakra element, Fire.

During his travels he saw many things, including disturbing events that were brought on by conflict. As a neutral presence he tried to break up some of these situations, but he could only do so much as one person. Koudo was sick of seeing conflict all over the place, and at the age of 18, he returned home, seeking unity to protect the people. He joined with a group of wind shinobi, the group that formed Sunagakure, started working with them, and learned his third element, Wind.

He had an idea of what the establishment of the ninja villages would entail, it was very complicated, and could even bring upon more conflict, but seeking peace was a long process. Now he sits on the Jounin Council as a strong and trustworthy ninja, with key abilities, and good ideas to bring to the table concerning all various issues. His stance on education is that students should never have to sit in a classroom and he teaches all his lessons outside.

Koudo is an adventurer, a scholar, and a diplomat. He is well spoken and intelligent, and has a professional demeanor most of the time, but sometimes he can smooth into a trickster attitude. This can be on a joking level, slipping in a sly comment during conversation, but when it comes to serious issues, he gets serious about it, drawing from all his resources to win a battle. He can get too energetic about certain issues in a light hearted or serious manner.

Appearance

Koudo is 5'11" and 187 lbs, with strong muscles and broad shoulders. His thick dark brown hair sticks up in layers all around reaching a long-medium length at most, and he wears a black Sunagakure forehead protector. He has green eyes, accompanied by sculpted cheek bones, and fine features.

Koudo wears tan, hooded robes. When the hood is on, the point of one long lock of hair swings down in front of his eye and the fabric that hangs around the neck can be pulled up to cover his face. The robes will often be rolled and strapped to the back pouch when off-duty.

Under the robes he wears a green and gray sleeveless martial arts style gi, tied with a gray belt. Bandages are tied around his forearms, and a large pouch is strapped to his belt on the lower back. On his legs are a pair of gray cloth pants, bandages wrapped over the shins, a kunai holster strapped to his left thigh, and he wears a pair of black open toe shinobi shoes.

On his left forearm is a tattoo of the i-ching symbol for earth surrounded by a ninjutsu seal and on his right forearm is the symbol for heaven, three parallel lines, on a circle of seal patterns.

+Journal Entry 1

Darkness has fallen over Sunagakure. Fate has many twists and turns, but this is a blow that I find hard to bare. How could this happen…So many people…Many of them Ninjas, but I'm so sorry for the innocent people that had to die. How could we have saved our village, and our people? I have been looking into it ever since I've been back from my last mission and the invasion happened. The Seishukuni have been crucial to the recovery process, but we still need supplies, and any help we can get. It goes to say that there will be a lot of work involved, despite the pain we have suffered. I've talked to some of them, the people of the village know this, I can see it when I sit at their bedside. It is saddening, this is what I feared most at the start of the villages, and yet I still could do nothing to stop it. What sort of power had they used, never had I seen anything like it. Surely, secrets are held in the world of ninja, but this was perhaps stronger than a bijuu, yet mysterious in the likes that I've never even heard of in all my travels.

Hi, Journal. I have been so busy tending to the people of the village and filling in for the Kazekage who is in Kusagakure for the world ninja tournament. I get tired, but that doesn't stop me, I just need to eat and sleep enough. I was pleased to meet a few Suna ninja face-to-face over the course of the recent weeks. Buyo is a concern of mine, and I hope she gets the attention she needs from some of our trusted shinobi, but if she doesn't I will have to attempt to convince to hone her skills for the best of all who reside in Suna. Hei is a fabulous artist, his work made me happy to look at, so I had to buy one! A smart young ninja from Iwagakure that could help out as a skilled shinobi if he gets the right training, so I must convince him too. Toshiro, is a nice kid, he too with the right training could have his whole successful ninja career ahead of him. Perhaps there was an incident that took a toll on him, but with the right treatment he should be back to normal in no time. Now I am off to prepare for my trip to Kusagakure. If I'm correct about who all will be there, it will be a valuable use of my time. One man's name strikes me in the gut when I think of it. During our last encounter I was not able to prove myself, as I said I would. I must win back my honor, and defeat Tessen, of the Takokujin, so they will know the true extent of my skill.

Dear Journal, I am gladly on my way home to Sunagakure. Unfortunately, I was not able to meet my rival at the Ninja Tournament. Kusagakure is bustling with activity though, and I was able to meet a couple very interesting opponents, bringing to light some of my powers, but more importantly for me to study my flaws, and weaknesses. All in all, I had a very fun time, and this new technology will make it possible to repeat such an occasion. I wonder when the next World Ninja Extravaganza will take place! Of course, all is not just fun and games and I forsee the next couple months or so of my life to be very labor intensive even from a councilor's point of view. I will probably be held in solitary in my office catching up on the backed up stacks of paperwork, but maybe I can find the time to bring a class of academy students on a field day, or get some training done myself! (I guess that would be in a perfect world…) I will however continue tending to the villagers and offer guidance to the ninjas the best I can, but I would expect that my face will not be seen so commonly around the village. I wish for luck in my endeavors, and hopefully the things I am able to accomplish now, will help to bring me closer to some of the major issues we face.

Journal, I am a wits end. What does this world have in store for us? I can't just sit and wait for something to happen, that is no solution, but no progress has been made to discover the source of the storms. I also have not heard from Raiga which I don't know what to think about. It's probably the same as over here, nothing, but I can never be sure and my imagination runs wild, but you can never tell with a ninja like that. What is the real issue here? I must be going crazy, Ryoji-kun actually makes a point. Only a fool would stand around doing nothing. It may be time to take a trip, like back in the old days…What am I saying? I can't just leave Sunagakure like that, I just caught up on all my work! No matter what I have faith in the Kazekage. Only time will tell…
