Background

+A struggle...

Hyuga Hayao was born into the main family of the clan and spent half of his life so far during the Clan Wars. Being the only child and a member of the main family, his father has held high expectations for him since the day he found out his wife was pregnant. The day he was born was his father's happiest and proudest moment, though, this would only last for five years. The boy began his training at the age of four and, within the first year of the training, his father began to lose hope. He was not picking up on the lessons like a main family member should and this bothered not only his father, but other members of the main family. This is not to say he was not learning anything, but not at the pace expected. At the age of six, the village of Konohagakure was formed and his clan became one of the noble families of the village, though, this did not impact him that much as he was still much too young to begin duties as a ninja. His training continued and his father refused to enroll him in the academy, but instead continued the training at home. His father got to the point of disappointment that he charged one of the branch family members named Hioto, that swore loyalty to his father, in training Hayao.

The years continued and his training remained in the Hyuga village. His only real friend being the branch member training him consider he was not allowed much time out of their village and he did not enroll in the academy. Despite his loneliness, he remained up-beat and positive, swearing he would become a respected member of the clan and master the techniques being taught to him. Unlike most of his clan, he did not unlock the ability of Byakugan until the age of eight…this being something his father was embarrassed of. Of course, the branch member training remained proud of his student and praised him every chance he could. This fact only strengthened their bond. By the age of ten, he finally got down the lessons taught to him over the years and learned the basics of the Juuken Style and Byakugan. This is when he was allowed to take the test to become a Genin and he failed, only bringing more shame to his clan. At this time, his father stopped instructing the training and allowed Hioto to take full control of the lessons. The failure affected Hayao, causing him to become depressed, though Hioto cheered him up and helped him study for the test everyday until the age of eleven.

Half-way through his eleventh year of life, he took the exam again and passed, being promoted to the rank of Genin. His father only spoke one word to him, that being 'Congratulations', and pretty much continued to ignore him. Of course, Hioto celebrated with him and explained the importance of his new rank. During the next year, Hyuga Hayao continued to train and went on a few missions, though, his relationship with his father remained the same. Despite his upbringing, he is a devoted shinobi of Konohagakure and is upbeat, trying to make friends when he can, though, he does not force what is not meant to be. His story continues…

Personality

Hyuga Hayao is unlike other members of the Main Family. He does have manners like the other members, but he is easy-going, cheerful, and friendly. The young Genin is motivated and driven to improve his skills and prove to himself that he has what it takes to be a true shinobi of his clan and Konohagakure no Sato.

Appearance

Standing at five feet and three inches in height, this young boy is thin and immature, clearly yet to hit puberty or a growth-spurt. His hair is raven-black, flowing down to his mid-back in a straight fashion and a bang hangs over each eyes. The eyes of this boy are milky white, devoid of a pupil, and clearly stating which blood-line he belongs to. His skin is a a shade between tan and pale, showing that he does train out-side, but not often.

Worn on his upper-body is a netted-shirt which stops at his wrists and seems to be tucked into the black hakama pants worn on his legs. Worn over the netted-shift is a kimono of sorts, though, it is sleeveless and more form fitting than baggy. The unique kimono also reveals much of his upper-body, hanging open to just under his navel in a v-fashion and tucking into his hakama pants. Worn on his feet are sand-colored tabi-shoes and black socks are found covering his skin. Finally, his Konohagakure forehead protector is found stitched onto the right pant leg, proportionally centered in the thigh-area.
