Background
Sachiko was born into the main branch of the Iga and was the second of two daughters. There were high expectations of both girls, but being the younger, she had big shoes to fill. Shun was well-behaved, serious, and… in Sachiko's opinion, a bit boring. For the first few years of her life, the younger girl was more than willing to learn, to try and be the good little girl that was expected but by the time she was ten, she'd already had enough. Sick of hearing things like "Shun could do that when she was six!" and "You just have to try harder.", she just altogether /stopped/ trying.
Rather than get up for lessons, she would sneak out. That quickly escalated into purposely causing trouble, both in the Iga encampment and in the surrounding area. (Thank goodness there was no Sunagakure at that time). Of course, she was reprimanded and otherwise disciplined and that was enough to dissuade her from further havoc… for a time.
Using what one might call her Iga Intelligence, she learned to hide her involvement in issues that came up. There were, of course, those that knew better and constantly tried to uncover her plans. Unfortunately for her, it was Shun that eventually caught her in her attempt at setting up something of a trap. Since no one else was around, the older sister took it upon herself to try and beat some sense into the younger girl and, interestingly enough, this seemed to work.
For the next few years, Sachiko was simply bitter. Rather than actively pulling pranks and causing trouble, she instead turned to just being rude. She attended lessons, but seemed to purposely fail at the simplest of things and, when asked why, she'd either avoid answering altogether or give a less-than-subtle response insulting the teacher in some fashion… even if this teacher was her parents in some cases. She did, at least, learn that Genjutsu was not her strong point…
Eventually, Sunagakure was formed and she was dragged into the village with the others. She hated it and loved it all at once. More structure, yet more people. New people, but laws… Nearly everything had both a negative side and a positive side. Rather than bother with any of it seriously, she just continued as normal. Somewhat unfortunately for her, this often resulted in her getting punched for her lack of respect.
While she often went to the hospital, she was never seriously injured, but not for lack of trying on the part of her attackers. Rather, she was simply able to take hits and even keep going when others might have just collapsed. It was almost like a game to her… to see how far she could get before she really needed to get to the hospital. As a result, she became well-known at the hospital while perhaps rather notorious outside of it. To this day, nothing's really changed. Sachiko has retained her bad attitude and even actively searches out people to insult for her "game".
Personality
A troublemaker to the core, Sachiko is always out to test the limits of people she comes across. Always the smart aleck, she enjoys seeing how much irritation a person can withstand before their patience snaps like a twig. It may or may not come as a surprise that her own fuse is quite short. She's definitely one of those obnoxious people that can dish it out, but can't take it.
When not aiming to annoy people, though, she can be quite calm. Still not exactly the most amiable person, but less of a jerk, at least. In truth, she acts more depressed oftentimes — much more dull, anyway. Beneath the layers, she cares a great deal about those that she allows close to her. She is lazy, though, and as a result hardly strong enough to truly stand up for her companions. Whatever the case, she is still, when it comes down to it, a definite… well, rear end.
Now that she's settled down, Sachiko is very laid back. She almost never makes trouble, except occasionally messing with Hiei. Her temper, though, is a different story altogether. She has a pretty short fuse and when it gets down, she tends to be very angry. At times, there's no real warning that this is going to happen. In fact, most times that's the case. Currently this is regrettably very frequent, given pregnancy hormones and the fact she is unable to truly spar without worrying about her state.
Kids, for the most part, earn a soft spot in her heart. She'll rarely, if ever, truly get angry at children, though that isn't to say they are free of a little snark if they catch her at a bad time or say something wrong.
Appearance
Bright red hair falls to this woman's waist and she has braided a few areas, as if out of boredom more than anything. Her eyes and the upper portion of her face are covered by a pale green cloth, almost sea-foam in color. Beneath it is a small, angular nose that appears as if it's definitely been broken more than once. Her lips and chin seem to gently curve in the right spots to give them an attractive appearance, though true beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The cheeks are slightly puffy, though not quite as with baby fat and more as though they are somewhat swollen, perhaps from repeated healing. Another accessory of specific note is a ring upon her left hand's ring finger. It's a bluish steel, well crafted to fit her in particular.
Her shoulders and torso are covered with a simple tank top, a sky blue in color with the kanji for 'crow' written, tilted, across the top right, from the viewer's angle. Wrappings, the same color as the cloth on her head, are tied around her wrist and forearm with yellow string. From the waist down, she has a simple pair of sweatpants on, black in rather stark contrast to the brighter colors above. On her feet are sandals with two pieces on the bottom to give her an extra inch or two. She seems to be in shape, though a bit chubby — just a bit. Her height seems to be about five feet and eight inches.

When first meeting him, Sachiko thought he just made a good target — always brooding and unhappy. When they met again in the Land of Tea, she was Henged and after listening to him and his friends talk, she realized there was a lot more to him than that. She revealed herself to him and… things have just evolved from there. Now they're married with a child on the way and she is, generally, very happy with him, regardless of little tiffs here and there. |
