Iwata Michiko is the 4th Raikage of Kumogakure. She wants to do what is best for the village, and will serve it faithfully for as long as she can..
Background
Michiko was born two years before the founding of the villages to the Murasame clan in Iwagakure. A year later, a Kumo-nin snuck into the village somehow managed to get away with stealing the young Murasame away back to his homeland. In order to make it so no one would go searching for Michiko, he had to make it seem like the girl had died. Therefore, he ended up planting a clone and having it transform into a severely injured version of a baby. He ran away before he could tell if the trick actually worked, but there haven't been any search parties for the girl.
The ninja, Iwata Kyousuke, took Michiko to his house that lay just outside the village proper and raised her as his own, making sure she knew nothing of her affiliation to the Land of Earth. Michiko grew up as a loyal Kumogakure Shinobi, spending a lot of her time training and studying so she could join the Ninja Academy at the age of 8. Her height was not impressive, even then, so she struggled to keep up with the rest of the class.
During her years as a student, Michiko often was encouraged by her father to focus on her taijutsu training to make up for her lack of height and weight. However, she disliked this idea and would always sneak a book with her, spending the two hours reading about various historical events as well as ninjutsu techniques. While reading all these books, she discovered the existence of chakra paper and used it to find that her chakra nature was fire. This was slightly confusing to her, as most Kumo-nin have lightning as their chakra nature. Regardless, she worked hard and focused on learning both basic and fire jutsu.
Michiko was able to graduate the Ninja Academy at the age of 10, finally joining the ranks of the Genin. For the next year or so, she performed small missions and trained to improve her skills further. She had only barely managed to pass graduation, and she needed to become stronger so that she could perform well on difficult missions. During this training, she found she also had a knack for earth style jutsu.
As a genin, Michiko was able to branch out more and more, eventually becoming a strong Kumo-nin. While she started out struggling, she quickly became known for her quick firebolts against her opponents, whether they be friends or enemies. When with her friends, she does try to hold back slightly! Michiko spent many hours training and studying new techniques, as well.
In her earlier Genin years, Michiko simply followed, watched, and trained. However, people began to notice she wasn't being useful for the village. They had yet to assign her to a team, and she wasn't going to get stronger by just sitting around. As such, Katayama Hiroyasu, Yotsuki Nariko, and Yotsuki Hiei took the Iwata under their wing. While none were made the official teacher of Michiko quite yet, it was obvious she enjoyed learning from them all.
Because of the number of mentors she had, Michiko was able to become friends with a number of genin. Junpei was one of the first people she met, along with Kenishida. Reizei Ryouji and Yotsuki Sado were, however, the two she was able to bond with most during her time as a genin. The three made the unofficial team, later dubbed Team Katonari, with no actual leader.
Eventually, Michiko was to be under the tutelage of Nariko, though she would continue to learn from Hiei and Hiroyasu. Amani, Sachiko, and several other genin would appear at various times in her life, though none were so constant as Team Katonari. The missions became more and more difficult. She experienced what it was like to be on the open sea. She fought the ridiculous bandit Flexy Lex, who later turned out to be Hiei. And she even pursued enemies that were in other lands, namely Sunagakure and Konohagakure.
Still growing, Michiko also came to learn how adept she was at chakra control. While it's not perfect, she was able to walk on both trees and water quickly, her skill close to perfection after only one or two tries. "A natural" was what both Nariko and Hiro called her.
Her only resource for new moves were scrolls and books, as not many people in Kumogakure had Fire and Earth chakra natures. Already adept at Fire, Michiko honed her Earth style until both were extremely powerful. It was by a complete accident that she discovered her ability to shape metal.
Nervous about the metal shaping, Michiko has yet to tell anyone outside of Yotsuki Sado and Reizei Ryouji. She tends to keep this ability hidden, though it doesn't stop her from using it. The girl will typically disguise her new skill set with drawing weapons from her pouch, making it difficult to tell the source of her newfound power.
The Chuunin exams brought a new challenge altogether: seeing an influx of foreigners in Kumogakure. Michiko treated all guests with respect and a fair amount of kindness. She would often hang out with Okumo Sei while he was around, eventually finding him to be something of a friend. While she was knocked out during her fight against Sado in the first round, she didn't give up the hope to become a Chuunin. Indeed, she was really already strong enough to become one at this point.
What does it mean to be a Jounin? To Michiko, it means being a leader. Knowing that you have lives on your hands that you need to protect. You need to make the right decisions so that your teammates don't die on your watch. And you probably need to be strong enough to do that, too. Intelligence, Determination, Strength, Skill, Responsibility, Respect, Flexibility. Since she's not quite a Jounin, Michiko has decided to work on these skills as a Chuunin in preparation for whenever this promotion might come. While it's probably not coming anytime soon, she looks forward to the day she can accept such a position.
As a Chuunin, as short-lived as it felt, Michiko has started up her own team. She's found herself participating in many interesting missions. Certainly, some of them are more interesting than those she completed as a genin. The girl has visited Sunagakure more officially and met with the Kazekage, for one. And she participated in a talk with Konohagakure, though this didn't put her in good graces in Kirigakure.
The rivalry between herself and Naruko has driven her to become a better shinobi. Whatever bad blood there was between the two has dissipated (admittedly, Michiko didn't even realize Naruko was angry at her, nor why this was so), and the two are closer than ever. So close that Michiko has decided to form a team with her.
The third part of the team is Hebisuuhai Hisomu, a former classmate of Michiko's. Their relationship wasn't strong during the Academy days since Michiko was always reading and going straight home after class, but she remembered the Hebisuuhai well enough. She hopes that some good will be able to come from Team Volcano even though there seems to be a rather large disparity between herself, Naruko, and Hisomu in terms of strength.
The Silence Situation has only gotten worse, forcing the villages to either act together or stay silent in a corner. Michiko has been assisting the Raikage (both Ogosokamaru and Hiei, since they've both been Raikage during this time) in trying to establish relationships and treaties, however temporary. The peace was temporary, and she was just waiting, now, for something to happen. And fortunately or not, many things did.
It's not only the human world, but the world of Summons that are affected by this whole Silence business. The Land of Foxes, particularly, seems to have picked up on wartimes. Ayame, Soren's partner, came to Soren (and through him, Michiko) with a number of foxkits. While there was one that seemed a bit more vicious towards people Michiko was able to get closer to the fox. Not without difficulties, certainly, but they became something like friends, and then later partners.
A new rank comes with new responsibilities, though some of them were unexpected for Michiko. For example: becoming a member of the KRD. And shortly after finishing the training, becoming head of the KRD as well as assistant to the Raikage. Which means she gets access to a bunch of interesting papers that hold interesting information. And access to several times that amount of interesting papers that all contain boring information on missions, old and new… Well, it's not the /best/ job, but it's certainly something.
She's also managed to befriend more people from Konoha, like Kaido and Bandit, Hige and Konsho, Akiyama Kenta, and perhaps a few others that you can't really call friend, but acquaintance. In short: life as a Chuunin was busy. And now it's time to move on…
Since becoming a Jounin, Michiko has taken on a lot more administrative tasks. She had even made herself keep an eye on Hiei, who was newly made Raikage, because both Hiroyasu and Nariko decided to step down from the Administration and instead focus on both career and family.
Michiko has maintained a relatively friendly relationship with a majority of the shinobi and members of Kumogakure, though she did accidentally rub a few the wrong way due to her youth while also being promoted. Since becoming a Jounin, Michiko had to deal with a number of threats. Namely, The Recluse.
The Recluse, an organization bent on destroying the Hidden Villages from the inside out, had managed to infiltrate a number of clans both within and without Kumogakure. They even had the gall to attack both villages in their home territory. By working together with Konohagakure, though, the two villages were able to launch an assault on the three main bases that the Recluse held, and they were able to put a stop to the Recluse's menace.
Michiko was also able to forge new relationships among her fellow shinobi. Shinatobe Hanami, Hebisuuhai Sakuya, Saito Yorishiro, Hizumu Arashi, and several others appeared in the young Jounin's life. As did a new Jinchuuriki, as Hebisuuhai Hisomu had fallen in battle.
On the in-between, a tournament in Kirigakure heralded Michiko's new rank, and there was a trip made quickly. Michiko met a number of shinobi and reconnected with some of the few Kiri-nin she knew, namely Okumo Sei and Shimizu Kiji. While she didn't win the tournament, ultimately, she feels that she proved herself decently. And if she was viewed as a failure, then she feels that just may be all for the better.
While in Kirigakure, Michiko and Ryouji broke up for a few months due to being unable to spend time together thanks to their respective jobs. A few months later, though, they got back together.
With Sakuya and Yori, Michiko formed a new team known as 'Kumo's Shield', which was maintained steadily until several months after she became the Head Ninja of Kumogakure. This team was only broken up upon the threat of the Storm Brigade looming that much closer, and Michiko getting that much more busy. She worked closely with Yori in the administration, and the pair are often seen stealing each other's paperwork because they think the other works too hard. Sakuya and her nin-snake, Zuzu, are an interesting and creative duo. Michiko can appreciate their differences, but they tend on a path that she doesn't traveled. As such, outside of team activities and missions, she usually has Sakuya train under Saito Jon and Saito Yori for Genjutsu and Taijutsu (respectively).
The Recluse also brought about an interesting admiration and adoration from a certain kunoichi to Michiko. Unsure of what to do about this, Michiko attempted to maintain a friendship and professionalism with the kunoichi, but it ultimately fell through when Michiko chose another. Michiko finds herself currently regretting this decision, but she presses forward nonetheless. After all, there is still some good within the bad.
Life continues on, of course. The new Jinchuuriki shows promise, and Michiko had begun his training, assigning mentors for both kenjutsu and regular team duties. Hopefully everything works out as she tries to adjust to the new phases of her life.
A year after Jounin-ship, Michiko finds herself appointed Head Ninja of Kumogakure. As second in command, Michiko is able to have access to almost everything that the Raikage can see with a few exceptions including, but not limited to, personal items. The girl keeps a close eye on Kumogakure, keeping track of those who enter and leave the village, as well as appointing teams and similar tasks.
Despite her success, Michiko also found some interesting downfalls. The first major incident between herself and Hiei involved one of the first attacks from the Storm Brigade. Hiei was about to destroy one of the members, and Michiko protected the person from certain death for favor of gaining information. While Hiei was angry at Michiko, she was able to keep both job and position within the Hidden Cloud. She was also able to gain an unexpected ally (after questioning them) in Sasaki Seiko.
Michiko continued life as normal, forever surrounded by paperwork and administrative tasks. It actually took over her life for more than a few months, and she was unable to hone her skills during that time, nor was she able to see Ryouji. It is likely this particular timeframe that she found herself falling out of love with the Reizei, which she only came to realize while in Konohagakure to retrieve a few shinobi who had assaulted a Storm Brigade base not long before.
Whether it is because Michiko and Seiko started to go out or because Michiko had decided long before it, Michiko broke up with Ryouji shortly after returning to Kumogakure from Konoha. She sincerely hopes that Ryouji is able to find love again, of course. They just didn't work out thanks to horrible timing (OOC Note: Thanks RL :|)
A new romance also means broken hearts of certain hopefuls (as mentioned earlier). The kunoichi that Michiko had managed to capture the heart and admiration of was turned down by the Head Ninja in person. As noted, Michiko finds herself regretting some of her decisions now that this has come to pass, but she is planning to stick to her decisions as best she can.
Romantic drama is perpetual, of course. If it's not Michiko's affairs, it happens to be the person's to whom she works with most closely. Yotsuki Hiei, the third Raikage, found himself in a bit of trouble with his wife and turned to another for comfort. Michiko doesn't quite know how far things went, but she does have her suspicions. And the one Hiei blamed for a lot of what happened happened to be a wandering soul by the name of 'Taro'.
As a result of this particular drama, Michiko had sent Sachiko off to give her time to brood, but eventually the Iga resigned from being a shinobi in Kumogakure. Michiko had also sailed to the Land of Tea with Taro to make sure that he at least got to a good place, but they were followed by Hiei with Hige as witness. Saving Taro from a punch from Hiei, Michiko was (at least for a brief period in time) exiled from Kumogakure. With this, she chose to wander a bit, eventually returning to the village where she found nothing to have changed.
Michiko, finding the unchanged village a bit unsettling, found herself suddenly on an adventure with Kasuya to take down an S rank criminal and present it to Hiei. The Sandaime Raikage seems to at least have accepted Michiko's apology, and things are, if not as smooth as before, at least mended between the two right now.
Outside of her personal life, Michiko found herself facing another threat to the world: The Storm Brigade. Whether this was mentioned or not, the Storm Brigade sought to destroy the village system and bring about peace … by their own methods. It took a long time, and Michiko actually found herself kidnapped by them for a few months. She rarely speaks of her time held captive.
Once rescued, it is known that she joined Kumogakure's forces (as well as Kirigakure, Sunagakure, and Konohagakure) in fighting off the leader of the Storm Brigade. Specifically: Hatsu, formerly known as Hozuki Yoichi. She also assisted in healing those that needed emergency assistance.
Since the Brigade, Michiko has found herself swamped in work. A majority of it was simply because she had been gone for so long, of course, but one has to wonder if she's just using it as an excuse to get away from other people.
Personality
Michiko has grown quite a bit since she had become a genin. She's no longer anti-social, for one. She still loves her books, yes, but she is willing to put down what she is reading to talk to someone, and not just for the sake of politeness. The Iwata is more inclined to smile when with friends, and she's also determined to spend time with people she cares about. She can sometimes be found with her team just relaxing and having a good time.
Some of Michiko's better traits when she was younger stand out even more. She is still extremely determined to do her best as a shinobi. She is still willing to protect her friends no matter the cost. And even under the most stressful situations she is calculating, cool, and collected. She doesn't have as much free time as she'd like, but quite a bit of that will be spent training or with friends. Reading happens when she walks or needs 'rest'.
Likes | Reading books, Doing paperwork, Spending time with the few friends she has, Learning about others (both through paper and through observation), Non-spicy foods, Seeing Kumogakure Safe, Allies of Kumogakure |

Dislikes | Most vegetables (she'll eat them, but they're evil…), Leaving Kumogakure for too long, Enemies of the State, People not doing their duty |
Michiko, since her birth, has always been more on the quiet side of things. Rarely as a child did she cry, though she also didn't laugh as much as she should have. This continued on well into her Academy years, and is even present now occasionally. While she can be withdrawn, she is starting to come out of her shell and show her true personality. She enjoys being with those she trusts and deeply cares for her friends, though it doesn't always show. She's also an extremely determined individual who will do her best not to give up in most any situation. Michiko generally has a very calm aura about her. She tries to use her head, though a gut instinct is followed just as often. In her free time, she is either reading, training, or sleeping and storing energy for the next training session.
Appearance
Michiko is rather plain looking. With her height at around five feet, she may not even be that impressive to most. It also seems that she's doing her best to blend with the crowd. Her dark brown hair is left down, reaching to just barely touch her shoulder. The girl has brown eyes that can easily change color with the lighting of the room. They seem to be lighted with curiosity most of the time. Her complexion is neither extremely pale nor extremely tan. It happens to be very in-the-middle; a natural tan of sorts that can only get darker with excess sun.
She wears a navy blue jacket that is almost always unzipped to show off her dark grey t-shirt. Both are very plain, though the t-shirt has the symbol of Kumogakure on the front. Around her neck is her hitai-ate, another Kumogakure symbol on it. Atop both shirt and jacket is the flak jacket of a Chuunin. A dark grey in color (with a hint of blue to it), it contains many pockets to store various items (i.e.: scrolls). She's also got on some black pants that are fairly tight. Around her right thigh is a small pouch to carry things in. Covering her feet are the traditional ninja shoes.
All black except for the flak jacket that is dark grey and the shoes that are dark blue. As Agent Fox, she's not meant to be seen that often. The now-commander of Kumogakure's Kamen Rai Da has no visible marking of her village allegiance as far as hitai-ate go, though she likely has it somewhere on her. Her mask is white, as most are, and in the shape of a fox. Pure-red flames lick at the right side of it, and the eyes are blacked out so that no one can see in, but she can see out.

Michiko has recently acquired the ability to enter Sage Mode, albeit an imperfect version. With this, she is able to bond with her summon animal, the fox, to a whole new level, transferring natural energy into herself from her partner. The result is that she ends up with fox ears and a tail, as well as slitted eyes that turn lighter in color (more like amber than mud).
Relationships

---|---|---|---|
Iwata Kyousuke | Father | Otou-san | Michiko's father is rather strict, but he cares deeply for Michiko. He, like many other Kumogakure shinobi, specializes in Kenjutsu. His primary chakra affinity is lightning, with his secondary affinity being water. Often, the Iwata is away on missions, leaving Michiko to herself for the most part. So long as she continues to work hard and stay out of trouble, he is fine with her being alone. Now that Michiko is a Chuunin, Kyousuke has even more faith in her. Since Michiko's promotions, Kyousuke has gotten a bit more lax with the girl, giving her plenty of space and letting her do her own thing. Since they both are very busy, it's rare that they see each other at home. |
Murasame Chihaya | Mother | None | Michiko's Mother is an Iwagakure shinobi. While Michiko has come to know her mother is a Murasame, she is still unsure who her mom truly is. Her father has given no indication that Michiko's mother is alive or dead. Update: Michiko has since learned her mother's real identity, Murasame Chihaya, and she currently keeps in contact via letters. Once in a while, she chooses to go to the Land of Earth to visit. |
Matsuyama Kirika | Half-Sister? | -san | Kirika came to Kumogakure bearing the news that she was her half-sister. What this means, she doesn't know. But it's something she needs to deal with. For now, though, it's at the back of her mind. |

Reizei Ryouji | -kun | Ryouji is one of the people Michiko has worked with the most. He's a good swordsman and seems to be working towards being a sort of 'jack-of-all-trades' minus the Genjutsu. So many different trials have come their way, and Michiko has learned to trust Ryouji a lot. The Iwata also finds his rivalry with Sado amusing. |
Yotsuki Sado | -kun | Sado has been working with Michiko just as long as Ryouji has. The two spar against each other as often as they can, though it typically ends in either a draw or Michiko's defeat. Michiko's goal is to beat Sado someday, using their typical 'Deuces' rules. With everything they've been through, Michiko has grown to trust Sado quite a bit. It's a shame he's never around anymore! |
Name | Title | Description |
Hebisuuhai Hisomu | -san | Hisomu-san is a classmate of Michiko's. Her snake was lost, as well as a few teammates, to a higher-ranked enemy. Michiko hopes she can get back to full strength. Right now, she's a part of Team Volcano, and Michiko looks forward to working with her. Alas, that opportunity was cut short by the Recluse. While Michiko mourns the loss of her teammate, the girl is ready to move forward. |
Saito Yorishiro | -san | A younger Saito who seems determined to become a member of the Senshi. Michiko thinks he has great potential. Now if only she could get him to stop following the Raikage's lead in /everything/… |
Uzumaki Naruko | -san | Naruko is an interesting girl who is filled with energy and enthusiasm. She also doesn't seem to be a fan of books, much to Michiko's sadness. However, Michiko also realizes (recently) that Naruko is a jinchuuriki. This doesn't really change her opinion on the girl, though she will be keeping a closer eye on her if ever the Uzumaki proves to be exhausted after extensive training. Now that Naruko is a part of her team, Michiko will be able to spend more time with the Uzumaki. Hopefully. |
Name | Title | Description |
Hebisuuhai Sakuya | -san | An energetic genin who Michiko hopes will be a good addition to the team. Her cheer may touch on Yori, too, bringing him out of his shell. Not only that, but Michiko believes having a genjutsuist on the team (for once) will be good. |
Saito Yorishiro | -san | A younger Saito who seems determined to become a member of the Senshi. Michiko thinks he has great potential. Since he's become her assistant, Michiko has learned to trust the Saito when it comes to a lot of things… The only thing she wishes he wouldn't do is steal her paperwork! |

Yotsuki Nariko | -sensei | Yotsuki Nariko, former head of the diplomacy and the public relations in Kumogakure, is Michiko's official sensei. Michiko very much enjoyed this arrangement, the girl long having admired Nariko and her abilities. While Michiko does admire her sensei, she doesn't wish to be 'just like Nariko'. Rather, she wants to create her own style and something she's known for, much like Nariko has done for herself. Her sensei seems to have disappeared recently. |
Yotsuki Hiei | -san | Hiei is a strong shinobi, which only makes sense. He was the head of security in Kumogakure, as well as the Clan Head for the Yotsuki, but now he is the Third Raikage. Both adept at Ninjutsu and Taijutsu, Michiko enjoys learning from him. The few times she taught the ex-Clan Leader, though, were likely not as enjoyable from his perspective. Nevertheless, Michiko is happy to work alongside Hiei when it comes to missions, and doesn't mind learning from him when Nariko isn't present. Michiko seems to have garnered enough trust from the Yotsuki that she has a number of important duties. |
Katayama Hiroyasu | -san | Michiko knows Hiro to be more on the brains than the brawn side. He's the former head of operations and administration, as well as a medic and sensor nin. A master of seals, as well. While occasionally he can be odd, Michiko knows him to be capable and loyal. It's also fun to see his rivalry with Hiei (or perhaps it's the remains of one). With the change of leadership, Michiko has ended up taking over his position. |
Kasuya | -san | Kasuya is a strong kunoichi who's quite skilled with genjutsu. Michiko enjoys learning from her quite a lot and will often ask to spar against the older kunoichi. She realizes that Kasuya is strong enough to face off against Hiei at a relatively even level, though perhaps not for a long time. Recently, Michiko has managed to best Kasuya in a single match! However, it may have been a fluke… |
Akiyama Kenta | -san | The one she learned Medical Ninjutsu from. Well, him and another nurse of sorts. Michiko, while not entirely devoted to medicines like Kenta, does her best to be a good battlefield-medic should Kumogakure ever need her. What prompted her to seek out the field of medicine is still something she's not entirely sure of, but having Kenta as a tutor to this endeavor made it all the more interesting. |
Nagamura Shuuren | -san | The Doctor. Former member of Kumogakure and Daimyo of the Land of Tea. He sought her out with little explanation and become her sensei into Sagehood. Michiko is currently striving to one day attain the level he is currently at, though in which field, she has not the faintest idea. |

Hatake Asato | -san | A Chuunin with much to prove, and perhaps all the more to gain? His quest for revenge is admirable, but Michiko wonders if it is all he thinks of. She decided that he should lead a team to perhaps keep his mind off such things should he desire it. He has a lot to teach, though he's a bit gruff in nature. The Reizei blood in his veins is only now starting to become apparent. |
Hebisuuhai Misa | -san | Misa is a bit of a strange character, but awesome in her own right. She disappeared for a few months, but she's back now it seems. Michiko is glad to see her around again. The snake companion that is always with her doesn't seem to bother Michiko at all, either. |
Hizumu Arashi | -san | Arashi is an interesting person. The teen is older than Michiko, yet … there is something odd. Strong enough for Chuunin-ship, yet lacking the will to lead. Sensible, at least. Perhaps the promotion will set him on the right path? Michiko hopes that they can make a powerful combination come the day he matches her in strength. Update: Arashi has proved himself to be a capable leader, heading Team Hurricane via close bonds with each member. Michiko is glad that he's been able to become such a good leader and shinobi, though he does tease people a bit often. |
Iga Sachiko | -san | Sachiko is Hiei's wife, and the two now have a child by the name of Shun. Sachiko blindfolds her eyes, but is able to make eyes out of seemingly nothing, which is strange. Michiko finds that she enjoys Sachiko's company, though recent revelations do make the Iwata a bit more cautious about personal information around the former Iga. Update - Thanks to recent events, the Iga has since left the village. Michiko is sad to see Sachiko go despite their differences. |
Kuroyari Kenishida | -san | A swordsman by his own right, Kenishida is a genin. Michiko has been able to defeat him on more than one occasion, and eventually he decided to work under Michiko in a sense. While Michiko is a bit confused by what he means in all this, she accepted the offer. |
Maneshi Raion & Pansa | -san | A former wanderer, now Kumo-genin. The duo decided to make their permanent home Kumogakure, to which Michiko was happy to accept. She's determined to see just what they're capable of, but realizes it will take a lot of training to get them up to the level of a Chuunin. |
Reizei Junpei | -san | Junpei is a genin about Michiko's age. The few times she's met him, she was not all that impressed by his personality. Though he did request to be trained by Hiei like he did… She has no idea what he's been up to recently, though. |
Reizei Kenichi | -san | A genin known for his laziness. Michiko isn't too fond of trying to get him to do work, but she also believes he has some potential. The key is to find and tap into it… |
Reizei Ogosokamaru | -san | As the (former) Raikage, Michiko holds respect for him. However, she doesn't know him in person, so all that she knows is second-hand information. |
Reizei-Hyuuga Yuzuna | -san | The wife of the 2nd Raikage, and someone Michiko has worked with only a few times. Michiko believes that Yuzuna is quite impressive, though that may be because she was only a genin at the time. Michiko is deeply saddened by the fact that Yuzuna died on a recent mission against the criminals. |
Saito Jon | -san | Jon is an interesting guy. A detective with a crow(?) that seems to have quite a mouth (beak?). Michiko values his deductive reasonings and is glad to have him on the local police force, however odd it may be for a Saito. |
Saito Oshiro | -san | As Head Senshi, Michiko has worked a number of times with Oshiro to make sure the Raikage is safe. She hopes that one day he'll train Yori, but he's so busy… Hopefully he finds the time. |
Saito Tobei | -san | Michiko thinks the Saito could be a potential rival. Their first spar was close, after all. The second, not so much… She blames the fact that she was tired after training. Tobei is an interesting character, and it makes more and more sense why Hiroyasu is his sensei. It seems that both sensei and student have disappeared, though. |
Sasaki Seiko | -san | Michiko had managed to save Seiko from death, though at a bit of a cost… Upon capture, she had to torture her, but eventually Michiko was able to gain Seiko's trust in both herself and the Village. Much to Michiko's surprise, Seiko turned out to be female… An unusual revelation that, shortly after, seemed to turn their friendship into something more. |
Shinatobe Hanami | -san | Michiko believes that Hanami, like most Kumo-nin, has great potential. She's nice and a hard worker, though not overzealous with it like a certain Saito. |
Shirokiri Rise | -san | Rise is a formidable shinobi, and Michiko wonders why she isn't officially a chuunin or even a jounin. Whatever the reason, Michiko won't pry. The Iwata enjoys working with Rise, thoguh sometimes the Shirokiri is a bit off-putting in personality. Some of the recent revelations have made Michiko's opinion of Rise change. |
Uzumaki Ryujin | -san | Ryujin is quite opposite to his sister. Michiko finds him a bit too peaceful and wonders if he'll be able to adjust to the relatively militaristic lifestyle of Kumogakure. But he's very nice company and not bad to talk to, so Michiko hopes he sticks around. |
Yamayuki Amani | -san | Michiko knows that Amani is a boat/pirate fanatic, and is only starting to get to know the medic. Michiko definitely respects Amani as she now heads the hospital. |
Yamayuki Nozomi | -san | A user of Sound Manipulation. Nozomi seems to have the same shortcomings as Michiko, in terms of ability. Michiko hopes that Nozomi can get the assistance she needs to improve her taijutsu and is working to find a team for the genin. Update Michiko has since found a mentor for the Yamayuki in Hizumu Arashi. Michiko also discovered that Nozomi harbored some feelings for her, which came as a surprise. Not quite knowing what to do, though she is fond of the girl, Michiko delayed any type of decision that was held in regards to Nozomi. This decision was, perhaps, a mistake when recent events reared their head. |
Yotsuki Daiki | -kun | Daiki is a young boy and the latest Jinchuuriki within the Hidden Cloud. Michiko wonders if Naruko will ever get back and help him train. Regardless of what happens, she intends to keep a close eye on him and make sure he's getting along well in his studies. Especially considering all that he'll likely face in the coming future. |
Yotsuki Kibiki | -san | Kibiki seems intent on getting all the girls, though Michiko completely ignores this fact (for her own sanity). She met him only a few times and has yet to grasp all his abilities, but he seems as reliable as any other Yotsuki she's met. He also seems to have disappeared. |
Yotsuki Suzume | -san | Suzume is an interesting Yotsuki, as she is not a part of the clan by birth. She is, however, capable of using the clan's moves for the most part, which Michiko can appreciate. It makes her wonder that Suzume doesn't have Yotsuki blood in her veins, though… |

---|---|---|
Aburame Jade | -san | An odd Aburame who uses white Kikaichu. Michiko only met her in passing, and Hige was scolding the genin at the time. Jade also seems to desire to be a medic… |
Inuzuka Atsuro & Taizen | -san | The Inuzuka and his partner are, while not overtly familiar to Michiko, good acquaintances. The circumstances they've met under are not always the best, either, as the trio typically meet up during missions and war councils. |
Inuzuka Hige & Konsho | -kun | Hige is a stubborn genin who uses taijutsu. Michiko has been helping him with his chakra control. She actually enjoys Konsho, who seems to be rather agreeable and at least follows instructions. Update Michiko has watched Hige rise through the ranks alongside her, and the two are now very good friends. While they have their differences in how they handle things, Michiko believes that they have a healthy respect for each other's methods, as well as a great deal of trust between them both. |
Inuzuka Kaido & Bandit | -san | 'The Pervert Nin-duo' are quite ridiculous, if Michiko has anything to say about it. The two have started to learn to work together, though Michiko is a bit unhappy with the fact that they've an interest in some of the Kumo-nin. While nice assets, they're irritating to deal with at times, but mostly when not on missions. |
Inuzuka Soren & Ayame | -san & -chan | Closer to Ayame the fox than Soren, but Michiko has seen them both before. The Iwata has taken a liking to the young Ayame, and Soren in turn. Sadly, they don't meet as often as Michiko would like. The two helped Michiko create a contract with the fox village. |
Inuzuka Taiki, Shinobu & Nozomi | -sama | Michiko's meetings with Taiki, especially the initial ones, were unpleasant. Her opinion has yet to form, but she does respect the Clan Head. |
Inuzuka Takeo | -san | Michiko knows that he hosts a Bijuu within him, and even saw him in his turtle-form at one point. The girl acknowledges that he's skilled, but also doesn't really know him. When he came to Kumogakure to become a Jounin, Michiko wasn't entirely sure what to think, but Hiei accepted him into the fray, so she did as well. Since then, the two weren't friends, but they weren't enemies. When Takeo eventually died, the girl decided that he was 'an okay guy' and honored him like any other Kumo-nin who had died on duty. |
Nara Tatsuo | -san | The latest host of the Three Tails. Michiko finds him to be rather shy and quiet, which is very much unlike the last host. Of course, that isn't entirely unwelcome. Michiko approves of Tatsuo, largely, and hopes he gets over his shyness in case 'bad things' happen. |
Sarutobi Zankuro | -san | Zankuro is a fire-user, and a few of his techniques match those of Michiko. While she has only encountered the other genin a few times during the Chuunin exams, she realizes that he'll be a strong force in the future. |
Satonezu Daichi | -kun | An amusing youth that Michiko helped train in water walking. She wasn't able to see him master it, sadly. Michiko can't help but wonder if Daichi knows who she is, considering she never told him… |
Senju Daisuke | Hokage-san | As far as Michiko can tell, the Hokage is a level-headed person. He seems to know what's needed. While she doesn't know him personally, there is an automatic level of respect for him. |
Uchiha Atorei | -san | Atorei seems to not have any confidence, and he's rather old for a genin. Michiko is a bit curious as to his circumstances, but has no opinion since she doesn't know him outside of a single spar. |
Uchiha Isura | -san | Isura is an interesting Uchiha. Michiko was witness to the Sharingan, though the abilities are not quite at full since he's only a genin. She has a somewhat-low opinion of him considering he tried to face off against the Silence. |
Uzumaki Miyo | -san | Miyo is weird and seems very skilled despite her goofy nature. While she is fun to hang around, Michiko is rather uncertain how to react to her. Apparently she specializes in Seals. |
Uzumaki Tsukino | -san | Princess of Ushiogakure, Michiko respects her as well. Not being overtly familiar with the Uzumaki, she has yet to form an actual opinion on her. |
Name | Title | Description |
---|---|---|
Doihara Ishino | -san | Akane's husband. He seems to be very protective of those he loves, so Michiko won't stand in his way if it comes down to that. She has a bit of respect for him, since he wielded one of the Seven Swords, but she's curious to see what he's like as a person. |
Doihara Kit | -san | A young girl that is known to have been rescued from a village that was destroyed by the Silence years ago. She doesn't talk, but she's remarkable in many other ways to make up for such. Michiko enjoys spending time with Kit, and doesn't mind watching out for her when she sees the girl. |
Fujikujo-Doihara Akane | -san | Akane. Kyoujin. Two people in a single body. Michiko has only encountered them once, each (for a substantial amount of time), but she's already beginning to understand how they work (in a sense). She's extremely fascinated by the pair, though she is uncertain how to act around them. An approach with one feels radically different for the other… |
Kaguya Kiku | -san | The Kaguya was met a few times in passing. At one point, the two were able to spar. Michiko did relatively well against the stronger Kaguya despite being a Genin at the time (it was also two-on-one, but not for long…) Kiku was able to help Michiko plan a way to perfect her chakra control. |
Okumo Amata | -san | A single mission with the Okumo, though Michiko isn't sure why she was on it. Perhaps Kiri was short of hands? She only had the fortune to work with the swords-woman once. |
Okumo Sei | -san | Upon meeting Sei during the exams, Michiko came to know Sei quite a bit over those few weeks. While not typical 'friends', that's probably the best classification of their relationship. Michiko knows Sei is quite strong, especially after experiencing it first hand. |
Shimizu Kiji | -san | Kiji, Michiko realizes, has very strong feelings for Sei. The Iwata is curious to see how those feelings will end up playing out in the two's relationship. The strange coloring of the Shimizu's eyes captures Michiko's interest the most. |

---|---|---|
Amaro Jiro | -kun | A young genin that Michiko found during the Steel Soul Tourney. She was a bit surprised to see him fighting, and is not familiar with the Amaro as a whole. She wonders how strong he'll get in the future and looks forward to seeing him grow, though she won't hesitate to beat him back with a stick if he seems like trouble. |
Hebisuuhai Jiya & Rat Breath | -san | A Hebisuuhai loyal to Sunagakure. Michiko wonders why Jiya is with them, only having met the girl and her snake once during a diplomatic talk in Kumogakure. |
Kokoroe Sousa | Kazekage-san | The Kazekage in the Land of Wind. Michiko only knows him in passing due to a brief meeting on a trip to Suna. |
Kuroki Kuoroke | -san | Again, it was a brief meeting with the now-ex-councilman. Michiko has no formal opinion on the man except for what she has heard via rumors. |
Watanabe Itami | -san | Someone Michiko has fought with often enough that she respects Itami's strength. Michiko anticipates that Itami will play a major role within her village (perhaps becoming Kazekage), not that the councilwoman doesn't already. Update Michiko finds her prediction coming true, as Itami becomes the second Kazekage for Sunagakure. Interestingly, she also married… Michiko wonders what will become of that marriage, really. |
Name | Title | Description |
---|---|---|
Murasame Akio | -san | A young boy that Michiko met while he was in a foul mood. Feeling a bit more than helpful, Michiko offered for him to meet her mother so he could live with her for a while. |
Toujitakumi Juudai | -san | The Tsuchikage of the Land of Earth is respected, as all Kage are. Michiko does not know the woman well enough to form an opinion, but her first impression is that she is a good leader and deserves her title. |
Name | Title | Description |
---|---|---|
Hanpa | None | Hanpa is one of those wandering-nin that tries to be everywhere, affecting events behind the scenes. He's alluded to such, at least. Michiko doesn't trust him so much, and as soon as she has a lead, she would be more than happy to start attacking him. Provided it's okay-ed by the Raikage. |
Izanagi Red | -san | Red is a young boy that Michiko doesn't recall too well. She met him when Mushi was attacked and stabbed in the back. She assumes he's brave and strong enough to be traveling, though being with the medic must be helpful. |
Nikumari Mushi | -san | A former Jinchuuriki. Michiko has heard rumors of the woman's strength and places her highly in her list of 'people she'd like to learn from' as she studies to be a medic-nin. |
Rankoro Ossei | -san | A man from another Land. He had told her he would help with her chakra control, but was unable to assist the girl due to being called away by his leaders. The chakra metal they were going to use still lies within her home. |

I met with Yori-san today. I wanted to figure out what this group was about, but… I'm not sure. We have a few ideas, though. We noticed that the attackers have all been… Well, essentially mindless zombies to this head honcho man. I wonder what he told them in order to get them to side with him. Or her… There are so many… It's times like these that I wonder how many people have truly lost faith in the shinobi world. That being said, there are a number of shinobi that we have yet to face. If this situation is truly what I believe it to be… We have a lot of members left.
Thus so far, we have faced off against a Yotsuki, a Watanabe, an Uzumaki, an Uchiha, a Gansao, a Maneshi, a Puppeteer, a Toujitakumi, a Kuroki, and a Kamizuru. There has never been more than one of a single clan. Which implies that we will be facing many more… There are so many clans left, though. From Kumogakure, we have yet to face the Saito, Reizei, Hizumu, Yamayuki, and Hebisuuhai. From Konohagakure, we will eventually face off against Aburame, Akimichi, Hyuuga, Inuzuka, Kirryu, Nara, Sarutobi, Satonezu, Senju, and Yamanaka. The Kaguya, Touketsu, Shirayuki, Okumo, Hozuki, and Shimizu remain from Kirigakure, though I do wonder if we will ever see one of them. There doesn't seem to be an abundance of missing nin from their country.
Sunagakure allows us to face the Amaro, Hayato, Iga, Miira, Sasaki, Seishukuni, and Shippodoku. Iwagakure contains the Murasame, Kamizuru, Gansao, and the earth-based Sasaki. And finally, there are the Gansaku, Kemonoken, Kuroyari, Rankoro, and Tenjin. That is… quite a lot of clans. While I know the basics of them all, I fear the specifics that we have not yet recorded… For now, all we can do is prepare, though.
Interestingly enough, Kasuya-san returned. I don't know where she went, nor do I know what she was doing while she was gone. All I know is that one moment I was training, and the next I was fighting her. It was … an interesting match. I forgot how powerful genjutsu her genjutsu could be, and I was stuck in it for a little bit. Falling endlessly… Does not really suit my tastes. I lashed back at her, and I think I ended up almost killing her. But I was able to heal her… Naturally, I was just hit with two powerful genjutsu attacks, and I ended up passing out… *sighs* But, I was able to defeat her. A bit longer and I would have won despite my exhaustion. Ah well… I think Kasuya-san said something about telling me a story…
The base attack went well… In a sense. I believe that Rise-san and Furoo-san were able to destroy their target, and I know all-too-well that Hiei-san, Kasuya-san, and I were able to destroy our own… Hiei-san cut him in half, actually. Largely unfortunate, considering we still desired information. Who else… Hanami-san and Sachiko-san were to go after the Amaro, if I recall correctly. I assume that they were able to come out alive and well, though I was a bit too worried about other things at the time. I'll retrieve a full report from them later. Naturally, it was all I could do to keep from scowling when Hiei-san killed our information source. I wonder what Sachiko-san and Hanami-san will do with their own opponent. According to Kuroki Mena, the young girl Sachiko-san protected, the Amaro is but a mere child…
I was with Hiei-san and Yori-san when I got the letter from Akane-san. It said that she wanted myself or Hiei-san to come and look out for her kids, but… I'm not sure if both of us should go. Yori-san and I were able to convice Hiei-san that it'd be a bad idea for both of us to go, and considering Yori-san is leaving soon for Sunagakure to get some chakra metal (about 3 pounds or so, I believe), it would be very bad if Hiei-san left as well.
When I got to Kirigakure, I found Okumo Naoya and Tenjin Riku there. As well as Kit-chan, Tsubaki-chan, and Kitaru-kun. The latter two were both a bit injured, but I was able to heal them. And then, naturally, things took a turn for the worse. The body of 'Akane-san' was delivered to us, and I had to take the children away a bit and I left them with my summons.
It seems we're going to be making our way to the Dark Continent. Riku-san offered us a little trip. Until then, I'll be staying within some housing, I suppose.

Apparently Kiji-san faced off against a clan head. Sasaki Amago. I was able to watch that match, and apparently he insulted her … those who are close to her. The Jinchuuriki called 'monsters' by the Clan Elder. Knowing Naruko-san and Hisomu-san, though, I can't agree that they're monsters… Of course, I suppose the conversation with Kiji-san is just as important as the conversation I had with Sei-kun moments earlier.
We discussed a bit about the match. Apparently he hadn't used his best attack on me, though I suppose I can't say the same for him. It was the weakness that killed him… I wonder… If I should have held back a bit more. Next time we meet, I have a feeling we'll both give it our all. I am, perhaps strangely, looking forward to the day that we fight all-out. I'm sure it would be a very scary and life-threatening match, should it reach that point.
Interestingly enough, I found a note that told me to visit the Tea Country, as the Tea Daimyo wanted to talk to me. Apparently, he overheard myself and Kimura-san discussing ways to become stronger, though I'm not sure how he even snuck up on us without either noticing… Regardless, he made the offer to assist me in some way. I'm not sure if I'm excited about this… Shuuren-san led me through a strange cave. We had to go underwater to actually reach it. He showed me something… Snake oil? I'm not sure, but it was certainly odd. And the rush of energy was so strange… Until he hit me with a staff… It hurt… And apparently this process is going to go on for some time…. *Sigh*
I think I have bruises on my bruises… Balancing the natural energy is more difficult than I thought. To keep still for so long and actually absorb the energy… It's difficult. And Shuuren-san is constantly hitting me with his staff. Hence the multitude of bruises… Apparently, though, I am not the only one with a Fox Contract working towards this new power. Soren-san, who Kimura-san ran into recently, is apparently seeking out this ability as well. He is working hard at it with the foxes. I wonder if I should have done this with him, but… Shuuren-san offered quite freely. It's a bit interesting… He has a contract with snakes… And myself, foxes. One has to wonder just how that worked out.
11-19-12: Kemonoken Mayhem
Today I met an unusual individual. Kemonoken Mika, the new leader of her village. The Land of the Moon, interestingly enough. I don't quite understand how that worked out, but it is certainly fascinating. I was even up in a spar against her. I truly only matched her, though, and did not go all out. Going full out would be… boring, I feel… There is a risk of losing. I ended up burning her quite badly, admittedly. Fortunately, Shuuren-san was able to heal her. The Kemonoken are an interesting group. There are not many records on them, either. I wonder what information I can find on them…
May 2016 Entries
After a long day of training, I have finally managed to unlock the ability: sage mode. It is not perfect, but I believe there is no true perfect version. At least, it has not been achieved, nor will it be achieved in this generation of sages. Perhaps much further down the line? Regardless… I intend to try and use this ability fully. I am not too used to it, though. Working with my summon; bonding to the extent that I have fox ears and a tail. The new appendages are interesting in and of themselves. I'll have to get used to them.
I let my guard down… I had him… How frustrating. I had Keiji-san on the run, yet I allowed him to slip from my grasp. The fight was almost evenly matched… And then I ended up losing. *sigh…* I shall do better in the next battle. And next time, I will not hold back as much…. It will be a night to remember, certainly. At least the match didn't feel as brutal when it came to my body. The only thing that hurt afterwards was my pride.
Hiei-san called me into his office… And we discussed a number of things. The most important thing, though, that day… I suppose it would be the fact that he promoted me to Jounin… I can't say I was expecting it, sadly. I've only been working for a better future for Kumogakure. While I truly wanted a promotion, if only so that I'd be able to better access our records without having to add 'Raikage's Assistant, Tokubetsu Jounin Iwata Michiko' to every slip. One would think that Tokubetsu Jounin would be fine in accessing data, but it was only to the ninjutsu archives that I had access until I added that first bit. I admittedly expected Yori-san to be promoted to Chuunin then, but not yet. Perhaps Hiei-san needs to watch himself? Regardless… To be continued…
Inuzuka Takeo-san… A runaway? He left the Hidden Leaf to go on his travels, proclaiming himself a Sage. I think he might be a bit of a fool… But he is friends with Hiei-san. So I imagine that we'll eventually accept him. The terms are rather simple… He'll join our forces as a Tokujo, and then he'll have two weeks to prove himself. Within those two weeks, he must prove he can work with Kumo's forces and be a Jounin. The rank itself is difficult to get. It took me a number of years, and I only just achieved it. I cannot help but wonder… But regardless. The Leaf's loss is our gain, and he'll be a good addition to our village.

The Recluse had the gall to attack Kumogakure… I don't know who they are, and I certainly don't care. They have some business with Konoha, and now it has spread to us. I'm going to meet with Taiki-san to discuss this a bit more. Well, in truth… I do know who they are. They have infiltrated far too many villages to not be known, especially after the information exchange Taiki-san and I had not so long ago, it seems. They wish to do what most people wish: destroy the Hidden Villages. But that is all I know. And I vaguely remember rescuing Taiki-san from their grasp. If they are as strong as I suspect, and they did almost destroy the village with strange acid, then I fear we must take the battle to them.
I was quick to set out to Konoha to find out many things. The first thing: to see how Hige-kun is doing and deliver a few presents for his promotion as well. He's not much older than me, though he is smaller, and he's a Jounin. It feels like he's come a long way since I've seen him. My other purpose is to see if anyone can tell me about Inuzuka Takeo. He's a bit too strong to be dismissed so easily… What happened between now and then that would force him to leave? It is a curiosity… The final objective is to meet with the man who knows the Recluse best, and perhaps learn some things about seals along the way. It should prove to be an interesting visit.
Update All my goals were successful. Hige-kun enjoyed his gifts, and Takeo-san is a man to be trusted. Though I think I will continue to watch him. Taiki-san told me that there was a hidden base within the Land of Lightning, so we will assault it once our forces have recovered from the last attack. I've also learned seals… I can now reproduce them. Looks like my pack will become a bit more weighted than I'm used to.
Nozomi-san's flute was destroyed by the acid. I know how much it means to her, so I took her, Asato-san, and Hanami-san to her home village. They agreed to make her a new flute, it seems, and they all liked having her back. It was good to see her in such an environment. I wonder if they wouldn't mind my paying for her armor, though… It seemed like she might need a bit of assistance there. Well, I'm sure a few Ryo won't hurt so much. The north is colder than I'm used to, even up in the mountains. I can see why there are very few who live up here. Well, I should put this away. Burning oil won't keep me warm, and it's late.
We planned for the attack on the Recluse. We discovered they have three bases. Joining with Konohagakure, the truest allies one could ask for really, we worked out a plan. By 'we', I of course mean Taiki-san, Hige-kun, Yori-san, Hiei-san, and myself among a few others. It was a well-planned attack, if you want my opinion. We planned a three-pronged attack on the three encampments. Taiki-san led one party, Hokage-san another, and I the third. One team for each entrance.
With Daisuke-san were Kenta-san, Hige-kun, Juudai-san, Rise-san, and Isura-san. A very strong team, I believe. The reports state that they met with the false leader of the Recluse. It was Taiki-san that had little luck in running into the true leader. Taiki-san went with Hiei-san, Takeo-san, a mysterious individual known as Narusegawa-san, Shuuren-san, the Uchiha Clan leader Kurome-san, and Borin-san, an odd Chuunin from Iwagakure. Yes, Iwagakure was involved as well. I was surprised, too. Naturally, the help was greatly appreciated.
A group of Chuunin and Genin kept a hold of the paths that people might escape from. Truly, they are the real heros, considering there were a great many dregs that tried to escape the assault. And lastly, I must address my own team. I led Yori-san, Hisomu-san, and Naruko-san. My teammates. I also had Zankuro-san, Raion-san, and Sado-kun with me. It was wonderful to fight alongside a former Katonari member, really. I was surprised to see how much he had grown after becoming so busy with being a Chuunin… And then Tokubetsu.
While our attack was successful, I am sorry to say we lost Hebisuuhai Hisomu, current host of the 7-tails. Our first host of it, even. She had a great deal of promise in handling its power, and I am deeply saddened to lose her. I believe it was Sado-kun's first time seeing a comrade fall in such an awful manner, too, given the look that crossed his eyes… Kumogakure will remember Hisomu-san for some time, hopefully. No victory is without cost, though, which is, perhaps, why this had happened. To remind us of this fact.
August 2016 Entries
Deaths: It's a bit amusing to think of, really… As soon as Takeo-san got as he wished (promotion to Jouninship), he ran away leaving little notice excepting a note that said he was going to protect someone who /might/ be his daughter. As strange as I find that, or perhaps I shouldn't find it such considering his … Nature… It was the news that came to Kumogakure afterwards that surprised me, really. Inuzuka Takeo, a newly promoted Jounin, was killed by a swarm of bandits. I'm not entirely sure on the details, but apparently there is a lake that he created and it is named 'Lake Takeo' in his honour, or something similar to that… Quite odd, if I must say… But it is what it is. Kumogakure will carry on, mourning the loss of one of our own so shortly after showing such promise.
I should note that there seems to be a new threat on the horizon. Something odd that involves … a Yotsuki? I was surprised to see one of Hiei-san's clan there… I also found that reports state she was dead. Either someone faked their death, or someone happens to be reviving the dead. In either case, I'm not particularly happy.
Hiei-san called me into his office. I thought it was a bit strange, of course. He's not really one for words despite being the Raikage, though I can say he can make very encouraging speeches. He went on about things that essentially sum up to the fact that I'm a hard worker, and for as long as he's known me, I've always done the best for Kumogakure that I could. All in all, he wrapped it up by saying I was to be Head Ninja of Kumogakure; the Rhikage's Second in Command. I honestly didn't expect such a thing, but … I can say I feel honored, and I'm happy to accept the role. Even if I don't feel much like a leader… Heh… Though I suppose I have always risen to a challenge, and this one is no exception to that.
There were more attackers today. They were from all different clans, really, which is … probably the strangest thing about these new attackers. I think they might… Well, I don't want to say just yet. I'll wait to see if they attack us again, I suppose. But truthfully, it makes me wonder… Their members don't work amazingly well together; they work separate from each other. A dragon (Watanabe) and an Uchiha were present… But they worked alone when their flames together would have been much more interesting and difficult to fight. Perhaps this group isn't as big a threat as first noted?
As I have noted, the Seven-Tails hosted within Hisomu-san disappeared to reform itself. Of course, I have had members of ANBU searching for it endlessly, and we finally seem to have a lead on where its chakra signature happens to be. We have selected the next host for it: a young boy with a rather determined and cheery disposition. He is also a member of the Yotsuki clan, which will likely be a good thing. The Yotsuki have immense stamina for their Lightning Taijutsu techniques, after all.
Updated - We found Chomei. It took a massive battle, but we were able to defeat and capture it, sealing it into one of our more interesting artifacts. It will reside there until the sealing, should our candidate accept his position. While there really isn't too much of a choice for him, I like to give the illusion of choice… I always find it's better to have willing volunteers when it comes to such delicate matters… Such is at least show within the history of the Hidden Villages.

Today I finally formed a team as a Jounin of Kumogakure. As funny as it is, I have Yori-san on my team again. Perhaps it's not so funny, though, seeing as how I had requested for him to be on my team. He and a genin by the name of Hebisuuhai Sakuya. Sakuya-san is truly very eager to learn things, and her snake companion, Zuzu-san, is as snarky as she is bubbly. A great contrast that I often will see within those that partner with animals. I suppose it's one way for the clans to balance both the beast and the human's qualities, and the two opposite personalities will allow for them to learn from each other as well as temper their worser habits. That being said, we have determined to be 'Kumo's Shield'. An odd name, but we are all dedicated to defending Kumogakure, even at the cost of our lives. I don't know if I would want to give up my life quite yet, though. I have this odd feeling that Kumogakure will need me for the next long while, and I've still got life in me.
Recently, there was another attack on Kumogakure. This time, it happened to be a Gansao, a Maneshi, and a Puppeteer of sorts. They had baited us with a trap, luring us in until we were struck unawares. We had, of course, defeated this odd group, but I can't help but be angry about it. As such, I have decided to push a new jutsu into development. One that will be extremely deadly to any foe that happens to be unlucky enough to experience it. If they don't die from the initial attack, they will wish they were dead shortly after. That is what I seek for with this new skill that I am developing. I never want to use it on an ally, though, so I suppose it would be bad to spar with it. In a way, I'm glad I'm not a genjutsuist. They /always/ needs sparring partners where I simply need a training dummy.
Yori-san came to me, wishing to learn more about medical ninjutsu. I suppose it's a reasonable request, given the fact that medics are always necessary within the village. And being able to heal oneself as well as allies in the heat of combat can quickly turn the tide, should things happen to go wrong. I began my meetings with him but two weeks ago, and he seems to be an excellent student. I expected nothing less, of course. Yori-san has always been a quick learner, even with Hiei-san and the sword. His self-confidence is something that needs work, but he is truly a capable shinobi. I imagine that our lessons on bandages will quickly turn into that of healing and diagnosing. Once we are able to reach the step of true healing, I'll be able to step back and watch Yori-san make his own techniques, as I did my own. Of course, mine are all very similar to the basic healing jutsu… So I suppose they are not so unique.
I haven't had the chance to really write in my journal. I suppose that's a bad thing… But truthfully, I've been too busy to think. Perhaps a bit of venting would do me well. My teammate, Sakuya-san, was taken by some odd mysterious forces. We rescued her, of course, but it's worrisome that this small group of kidnappers would work so hard to take someone. A shinobi, no less! Well, hopefully it can be taken care of… There are a number of loose ends with this group that I don't particularly enjoy. Suffice to say I'll sleep better once they're caught.
Beyond that, there seems to be something amiss. Hiei-san went away for the time being. He has some important errand to run, but I'm not entirely sure what it was. The details were lost in my brain. He's heading to Konohagakure, if I recall correctly. I suppose normally I'm on top of this sort of information, but one has to wonder how sane I am after all these events. Especially after the village was attacked by more of those people. A Toujitakumi, a Kuroki, and a Kamizuru this time. There were a few buildings that went down, but I think we will be okay. We were also able to 'capture' the Kuroki. Sachiko-san was able to take her in, though they might have fled for some time before Sachiko-san even was able to convince her. Hopefully, we can glean some useful information on the group.
Ninja Journal - Elder Entries
(Note: All dates are IC times)May 2014 Entries
It was recommended that I start up a journal with all my shinobi endeavors by my father. He said it would be nice to look back at all the "carefree days" I had "way back when". Certainly, my days don't seem carefree right now, but I suppose I should try my best with this. Father often gives good advice, even if it doesn't seem like it currently. He said I only had to write of the important things, though, so that should narrow it down. He managed to come back from his mission early to see me graduate from the Academy, which was exciting! I can't believe I'm finally a Genin. It feels like I worked so hard for this. It looked like my father was proud, but it's hard to tell with him… Oh well, I will do my best from this day forth!
I finally dug up this journal again. So many uneventful things have happened that I never felt they were worth writing down until now. Thus so far, I have met several different people and I feel they should be noted. First is Reizei Junpei. He's very strange and rather insulting. I find him rather annoying. There is also his cousin, Reizei Ryouji. Ryouji-san is nicer than Junpei-san, I think. I hope we get to work together on many future missions. I've also met people from the Yotsuki clan. Yotsuki Hiei and Yotsuki Nariko are both Chuunin, as is their friend Katayama Hiroyasu. I think they're all very awesome people and I look forward to seeing them more often.
Up until now I've only really been doing small missions and training. It was a bit nerve-wracking, this mission, as it was one of my first big ones where there could be a battle, and indeed there was. The team I was part of was tasked to deliver a scroll to some prison wards. I was with Hebisuuhai Misa and Reizei Ryouji, as well as Katayama Hiroyasu. Ryouji-kun was chose to be our leader this time around while Misa-san was the scroll-holder. We ran into this man, Flexy Lex. He was extremely annoying, but we managed to put him through his paces. I was able to utilize my fire jutsu very well this time, but it seems my taijutsu could use some work, as usual… Hopefully I will never encounter this "Flexy Lex" man again. He was terribly annoying…
Today I was on a mission with Katayama Hiroyasu and Yotsuki Hiei. While I've been on a mission with Hiro-san, I had yet to be on one with Hiei-san. We were supposed to round up the bandits that had escaped from the prison. While we managed to succeed in the end, it was still a tough battle, especially so soon after my previous mission. Hiei-san had to save me a few times as well, much to my embarrassment. Though I am very grateful that he did so, or I may not have survived. Well, I definitely would have been more roughed up after all was said and done. I think I will read a nice book to relax tonight. I have a very good one that illustrates how best to use one's fire style.
The Lumberjack Guild that we have helped many times before called on us again. This time, I was with Shirokiri Rise, Katayama Hiroyasu, and Yotsuki Hiei. It was my first time fighting with Rise-san, but she is a part of Kumogakure, so I do trust her. We had a run-in with the bandits who were sent by the Ox King. Rise-san sent me and Hiro-san to look after the injured while she and Hiei-san fought the Ox King's allies. It looked very rough for them, but Hiro-san and I had our orders (though they were frustrating). In the end, we were all able to win and we got assistance for the villagers.
Myself, Reizei Ryouji, Katayama Hiroyasu, Yotsuki Hiei, and Sayamoto Misaki were to be on a boat! It was my first time on a boat, and it was very exciting. The feel of the waves is incomparable to being on land. Poor Hiei-san got very seasick and couldn't enjoy it as much as I did. Later on we encountered rough weather and a strange tentacle monster who dragged Hiei-san off the boat several times. I wonder if that improved his seasickness… Regardless, it was a very nasty pirate attack that we survived. In the end, we won. But being on the water is horrible for a fire-jutsuist like myself. It's a shame I like being on the sea so much. Hiei-san and I kept watch afterwards, but nothing else happened, thankfully.
Today I was with Yotsuki Nariko, Uzumaki Miyo, and Yotsuki Hiei at the hot springs. Katayama Hiroyasu may have been there too, but it's difficult to remember as things were so chaotic. I thought it would be a nice place to relax, but having Yotsukis there while attempting to do so will make one unsuccessful. Uzumaki Miyo-san is very interesting. Hiei-san somehow managed to fall asleep in the hot springs, which I found funny. Miyo-san and Nariko-san were also tempted to bring in Goatchiha Sasuke to the hot springs, though Hiei-san didn't find it funny at all. It was strange to be there, but also fun. I think I should spend more time with my friends outside of missions.
Together with Yotsuki Hiei, Katayama Hiroyasu, Yotsuki Nariko, and Shirokiri Rise, we defeated the Ox King who was terrorizing the Lumber Guild in the low lands. I was able to show off my latest technique, Fire Replacement, as well. As for the surprise, it seems that the Ox King's daughter was actually Hiei-san's long lost sister! She was presumed dead a long time ago, apparently. I hope this means good things for the future, but it will take quite a convincing to show her we aren't the bad guys, I imagine…
On this mission, I am working with Katayama Hiroyasu, Yotsuki Nariko, Reizei Ryouji, Hyuuga Yuzuna, and Yotsuki Hiei. We were on a boat again, much to Hiei-san's displeasure. We suffered a pirate attack while out in the middle of the waters. Ryouji-kun and I fought together again which was nice. Yuzuna-san also did very well despite her current state of pregnancy. When the battle was over, I was sent to check on the villagers, all of whom seemed alright. Another mission success thanks to the Kumo-nin.
There was a strange man in the docks today, so Katayama Hiroyasu, Reizei Ryouji, Yotsuki Nariko, and myself were sent to quell the disturbance. He was very mad and ended up kicking several things around, much to the dock-people's annoyance. He was in search of his brother, apparently. While I'm not sure if I knew his brother, I do know that we managed to take care of Lao (that was his name. It's a very strange name!) Ryouji-kun and I were doing most of the fighting against Lao, which was actually nice. We worked really well together, I feel. It's nice to have someone close to my age who I find very reliable. Nariko-sensei and Hiro-san took care of most of the wounded.

Reizei Ryouji and I were selected to lead a team of genin to get rid of Flexy Lex once and for all! Yotsuki Sado and Yotsuki Kibiki joined us (as recommended by Hiei-san. I think he just wants a good name for all Yotsuki, though). I haven't worked very much with Kibiki-san, but if he's a Yotsuki, then he likely uses close-range fighting and nintaijutsu. Sado-kun and Ryouji-kun I've worked with before. Sado-kun can be impatient, but sometimes that's a good thing. Especially today, Kibiki-san's impatience helped us take Flexy Lex by surprise. When we defeated him and tied him up, it was actually Hiei-san in disguise! I wasn't too surprised to find out it was him, but it did surprise me when he started moving. I thought we knocked him out into the next morning! Ah well, a mission well done, I think. Not too bad for the first one led by me, I suppose.
Today Nariko-sensei taught me the art of water-walking. I already knew the basics of it, thanks to Hiei-san teaching myself and Ryouji-kun how to walk on boulders/trees, but it was a bit tougher on the water. I barely got wet, though. Only my foot was entirely drenched because I was being extra careful. Having an extra bath was not on my to-do list. I can now add this to my many skills, hopefully. Nariko-sensei said I had to practice it a lot so the skill doesn't get rusty. I will make sure to train extra hard, if that's the case!
I sparred with Tobei-san today after some tough training in the mountains. Climbing a mountain using only tree-walking abilities really drained me, though, and Tobei-san was able to defeat me easily. I must train harder! Perhaps I'll invite Ryouji-kun to a training session with me. I know we both want to defeat our rivals (or at least those we consider to be our rivals).
Sado-kun, Ryouji-kun, and myself were out in the forest training when we were attacked by a large mutant bunny. It was quite surprising to encounter, and I'm a bit worried that there may be more. After all, it was a bunny. I also saw this strange figure in the trees watching as we disposed of the rabbit. Something tells me it's not over… The bunny had amazing jumping abilities and also had extremely sticky spit that prevented movement. It had extremely sharp teeth as well. Hopefully there aren't more, but I plan to report it to Hiei-san and Hiro-san ASAP.

Hiei-san and Sachiko-san are getting married at last. I'm very happy for them, though I'll miss Hiei-san while he's away on his honeymoon. The wedding was very long, and I was glad I brought a book with me. Fortunately, Hiro-san came to talk with me, and I was able to make some small conversation with Shigeru-kun as well. … The wedding was very long and boring… Perhaps I will feel differently if it's my own? I can't even picture myself with anyone, though…
It's finally Christmas Eve, which means I get to see father tomorrow. He always brings nice presents home for me. Hopefully he likes what I got him (some new supplies and a few things for the colder weather as he continuously works on various missions). I decided to train a bit since no one was going to be around, and it means I could work on my taijutsu skills without too much shame. I'm working on them, really! Sado-kun came by and we decided to spar. We've been forced to implement a few rules so it doesn't end right out the gate, actually. Two attacks in a row only. Anyway, it was quite a surprise when I attempted to fire the usual fireboat at Sado-kun and ended up firing senbon at him. We decided to finish the match before doing anything about it. The incident didn't happen again, but it does make me wonder… There's some things that don't match up that I need to question father about, I think…
Today I talked with Sado-kun a bit about last night's events. Father wasn't home yet, sadly, so I was able to have a nice talk with Sado-kun. I requested that he kept the senbon a secret for now, until I talked it over with a few people I find trustworthy. Specifically father. Later in the day, I was finally able to talk to him. He showed me a few … special scrolls that were supposed to help me learn about my past. Admittedly, I'm not too happy he kept this whole thing a secret from me. He told me that he knew I was keeping a journal (per his request a long time ago) and requested I didn't write any of what I learned today. I'll respect his wishes, at least… But I'm not sure if I'm happy about his decision.
The Chuunin Exams are finally here, and I'm not sure if I should be excited or not. The possibility of death just to get a promotion is a bit much. It's like this part of my life is only a game to others… I'll do my best regardless, but I don't have to like it! Sado-kun, Ryouji-kun, and myself are going to be competing, and we'll likely be allies. Team Katonari can't be separated that easily, after all. The written exams are first, which I expect will be relatively easy with all the reading I do. People seem to think I'm always reading some strange fiction, though… I sometimes have to question them. The survival portion will be a bit more difficult, I think, but hopefully Team Katonari will continue on throughout them. Then there's the tournament portion… I will wait and see what comes of everything. Hopefully I'll be very lucky!
It's been very busy thanks to the Chuunin exams, and I haven't had any time to write. Thankfully, there's a bit of respite after the second round. Like I thought, the written portion was fairly easy. It consisted of things I learned from the Academy days, and I was easily able to recall it. After that, there was another break so we could plan accordingly for the survival portion. Sado-kun, Ryouji-kun, and myself were able to make a good base on the mountain peak inside the arena. We ended up attacked by several genin, but the scrolls we were able to take from them helped the three of us pass. They only had two. The third scroll was actually hidden behind a waterfall. I was able to use my earth jutsu to direct the water flow so Ryouji-kun could grab the box. Then I was able to capture the fish that had the key, effectively earning our first scroll. The whole ordeal was nerve-wracking for the week that we spent out there, but we survived and succeeded getting a scroll for each of us. Next up is the tournament portion. I still am not sure how I feel about the Chuunin exams as a whole, but knowing that we have conquered the challenges so far makes me feel a bit better. Apparently I'm fighting Sado-kun in the next round… Let's hope I win this time around!
August 2014 Entries
In-so-far, Ryouji-kun and Zankuro-san have fought against each other. Ryouji-kun won, and I didn't think he wouldn't. I know he's fast, and Zankuro-san (at least judging by his size) wouldn't have been able to keep up. Though they both did a very good job in their match. Next up was myself and Sado-kun. I had to go all out against him and was still unable to win. However, it was a close match and I'm glad we were able to do that at least once in our career as a genin. Perhaps if… no, when we make it to Chuunin, we can do it again.
There have been a lot of spars that I've been in of late. I wonder if the Chuunin exams just have everyone's blood boiling… It's a bit odd to be in constant combat, but missions are less forthcoming since I'm in the Exams and a lot of people are busy making sure no one sketchy enters Kumogakure. I haven't seen Hiro-san or Nariko-sensei in a while, which saddens me. But with all that's going on, I can understand why they would be so busy. I sparred against Kasuya-san with Zankuro-san. I was able to defeat Kasuya-san, which was a good feeling. She's only just started her Jounin career and she was holding back, but it's still something, I think! Zankuro-san fled the area in the middle of the battle…. Not happy about that.
I also had a spar. It was 4 on 2. Myself, Rise-san, Suzume-san, and Sachiko-san against Hie-san and Sado-kun. We were able to defeat the boys with sheer numbers and a few very lucky shots, which felt nice. Especially after losing to Sado-kun during the Chuunin exams. Though I accidentally launched a few firebolts at Sado-kun when he was down. The excitement of battle…
Later on, I found myself facing Okumo Sei. It was an exhibition match for the exams, and I probably should have just given up before it even started. His strength is genjutsu, one of my weaknesses next to Sado-kun's stuns. I think I respect Okumo-san all the more now, though. I also found myself in a spar against an Uchiha. Uchiha Isura. My fire outmatched him by a bit, but he used his Sharingan on me to even the match a bit. I think it was an interesting fight. I'm curious to see what will happen when he unlocks his full potential with those eyes.
Today I asked Kasuya-san to help train my genjutsu skills. I mostly wanted to work on defending against such a thing due to the fact that I'm not very good at it. I've also been unable to practice genjutsu because there's no one to practice with… I learned a new technique, Chakra Pinch, to help counteract genjutsuists like Kasuya-san. It was actually very effective, but using it too many times in a row results in a lot of damage at the end of the day. Kasuya-san also used lightning clones against me, which resulted in my blacking out. I woke up in the hospital and the doctors told me I just needed a day to rest after working so hard. Well, I can just read about how to improve this new technique, I suppose. It shouldn't be to hard to master the second level!
Today I met a very interesting man by the name of Yasujiro Jukai. Something about his rather suspicious, but I can't put my finger on it. He was being attacked by bandits when I encountered him. I don't think he's too keen on assisting people… I will keep an eye on him and alert Hiei-san about him. He says he's waiting for Chou-san, who is his artist friend. I believe him, but I do wish he would get out of Kumo…
In other news, I've been very reckless as of late. The match with Sado-kun, or at least the end result, has been extremely frustrating to me. I need to take a breath and calm down, I think. I've been planning to take a bit of a break, so now might be a perfect opportunity. I doubt there will be anything in particular that I'll be needed for, at least. In a few days time, I shall be making my way to explore the past.
After several unfortunate events, myself and Yasujiro Jukai-san were able to defeat the bandits that have been continually harassing us. While they were pathetically weak, they had both numbers and the money (thanks to their days of thieving) to pay of some expert swordsman for our final encounter. Yasujiro-san was injured rather badly, so I had to heal him up before we went back to the village. I was even able to bring one of the bandits back to Kumo for further questioning. Perhaps they know a bit about The Silence? If they do, they better reveal all they know. Kumo's odds… I dislike them since so many foreign nin were quick to abandon my home.
Recently I decided that honing my chakra skills would be a good idea. I've happened across both Kaguya Kiku-san as well as Rankoro Ossei-san, who seemed willing to help me with perfecting my chakra control. Hopefully I'll be able to benefit from it. I've also been practicing chakra shaping with Ryouji-kun in hopes that I might be able to make things out of metal. Perhaps? I look forward to progressing with this training, though it'll be difficult. Perfecting my chakra control especially.

Today I was sent on a mission to chase after some members of The Silence. They were really nothing more than goons that aren't even close enough to the higher-ups to provide valuable information. Myself, Uzumaki Naruko-san, Rankoro Ossei-san, and Kamizuru Kioko-san were sent out on the mission, which is something I find rather odd considering the fact that we're not really all Kumogakure shinobi. It makes me wonder what on earth the others are doing. I do realize we've had to spread our forces a bit thin, but really… Shouldn't there be more people around? Perhaps the threat of The Silence made people flee, but wouldn't that only be civilians? *sigh…*
The other day I saw Nariko-sensei. I was really happy to see that she was doing alright. We were in the hot springs when I happened upon her. We were only able to talk for a little while before we went our separate ways, but it's better than nothing. Lately, in hopes that Ossei-san could help me perfect my chakra control, I've been gathering a lot of chakra metal. It's difficult to find, but my sensing through the earth has proved extremely helpful in this regard. I almost have enough for an arm, apparently!
Recently I was promoted to Chuunin, alongside Ryouji-kun and Sado-kun. While the entire thing was rather underdone, I'm still glad we were promoted. The interruption to the exams was unfortunate, but we were able to succeed in our goals. I expect my duties will grow considerably now that I'm a rank higher, though it will likely not be as much as Hiro-san or Hiei-san.
Today I happened upon Ossei-san and Uzumaki Naruko-san. Naruko was fatigued from training continuously on top of traveling back and forth between Kumogakure and Konohagakure. Ossei-san and I tried to convince her that she needed a break, but she wouldn't listen. Upon request, we decided to spar. If we won, then she would take a break from training and listen to our suggestion. However, the battle took an unexpected turn. I discovered that Naruko-san is a Jinchuuriki, though I'm not sure which Bijuu is within her. Judging from the blue and black chakra flames, I am willing to guess it is the Ni-bi.
There were rumors somewhere in the mountains of the Land of Lightning, and I was sent to chase after a ghost. I wasn't too sure what to expect. Would it be an animal? A person? I don't think this being is truly a ghost. Likely a powerful psychic or someone who has the ability to control chakra so that it appears to be a ghost. Regardless, I was fighting this person. A girl in all white. She was a bit spooky in appearance, and I'd rather not recall it. Though the heat of battle has faded my memory of her.
I ended up killing her after a number of fiery attacks. I was able to trap her in an earth whirlpool, which means she was likely only to fade her body. Perhaps like a genjutsu? However it works, my attack stopped her movements and I was able to defeat her with a good round of fire. My current injuries are just a few cracked bones, nothing completely broken. I expect I'll be in the hospital for a few days while I heal, though.
Ryouji-kun and I were out traveling when we were struck by a sudden storm. We took shelter in an outcropping, which was fortunate. Gansaku Imite-san also joined us. Eventually we noticed a few people hiding in the cavern with us, and they turned out to be members of The Silence. It seemed like there was dissent in their ranks, though they attacked us without hesitation. As such, we were forced to kill two of the three. Interestingly enough, one of the members was able to use fire jutsu, though it wasn't terribly strong. He must have only had the skills of a genin… We all escaped unscathed for the most part, thankfully.

Hiei-san invited me to go with him to Kirigakure. We are expecting the Silence to next attack the Land of Water and are preparing for this. The Mizukage, apparently, is allowing us to join in the fight. I expect it will be a short fight, considering all who will likely be participating. Myself, Ryouji-kun, Sado-kun, Hiei-san, and maybe Kasuya-san are participating in the battle. Alongside the Kiri shinobi like Okumo Sei-san and the Seven Swordsmen, I expect we'll be able to destroy the Silence once and for all. If they decide to attack elsewhere, though… Well, that would be bad, to say the least…
Hiei-san requested that I stand in for Nariko-sensei since Kuroki Kuoroke was coming to discuss things about Iga Sachiko-san. I was only recently made a Chuunin, so I'm not sure how thrilled I am to have this job, but I suppose I will do my best to stand in for my sensei.
Afterwards
The talk was long and a bit painful to listen to. The Councilman is very shrewd at times, even going so far as to offer up his assistant, Hebisuuhai Jiya-san, to us without bringing back Sachiko-san. While I can understand his position, it baffles me that he would so willingly offer up one of his own. I suppose, though, that he has many things to think of, including the safety of Sunagakure. Indeed, if Jiya-san played her cards right, she could become a spy for Suna within Kumo…
Sachiko-san is to meet with Kuroki-san, I suppose. This discussion ended up becoming more and more personal between Hiei-san and Kuroki-san. I suppose that's why people prefer to let third parties handle this. Hiei-san is Sachiko's husband, so I feel like he might be leaning in one direction even if it might make Kumogakure suffer later. However, he swore that he would end Sachiko-san's life if she turned out to truly be a traitor. I believe him, so I will trust his judgment.
As a Chuunin, I suddenly find myself extremely busy with things to do with politics. While I'm not entirely adverse to this, it's extremely tedious. One of the few good things about being apart of such meetings are my sightings of Nariko-sensei. We discussed the alliance between Konoha and Kumo to some extent, as well as our plans to deal with the Silence. Kasuya-san and I are to travel to Sunagakure in hopes of finding out more information, which I expect will be very fruitful. At the meeting, Senju Daisuke-san, Uzumaki Tsukino-san, Inuzuka Atsuro-san, and Taizen-san were present. Nariko-sensei, Hiei-san, and Kasuya-san were also there. I think it went very well. Konoha even offered protection as we extended the same to them. I look forward to an alliance with them if there is one to be had.
As promised, Kasuya-san and I headed out immediately to Sunagakure. It took us several days of travel to get there at top speed (about three, if I'm counting correctly) with little rest. While there, we met with Kokoroe Sousa-san and Watanabe Itami-san. I was able to explore Sunagakure better than I had the brief time I was there with Hiro-san. I find that Kumogakure's weather is much nicer than the constant blazing sun. It's a wonder how shinobi survive out there!
The Kazekage proved to be very knowledgable. He deemed that the two brothers ruling The Silence could be taken down with a team of strong Jounin-level shinobi (mixed with Chuunin, perhaps). We need to prevent the brothers from escaping, though. The pawns don't matter to the brothers because there is always more where those came from. It's the brothers pulling the strings… Hopefully this information will result in their defeat sooner rather than later.
While in Sunagakure, news of Kuroki Moe's death was spread. I feel deeply for the loss of her, though I didn't know Moe-san. It's always sad to hear about the death of a comrade. I heard that she found out several things about The Silence, though, and Konoha managed to glean information as well due to Uzumaki Tsukino-san getting attacked. I only hope there's an end to all this fighting soon.
Myself and Nariko-sensei made our way from the Land of Water to the Land of Fire to meet with the Hokage. We got a better look at the map they had of the Silence's various hideouts. From the looks of it, a number had been wiped out, though there are definitely some remaining. The Land of Water has one base while there are several more in the islands near Kumo, Konoha, and Kiri. I believe there was also a spot marked in the Land of Lightning. Those are likely going to be the main worries if we have to destroy any particular hideaways.
I was selected to be a part of a mission in Konoha, of all things. Apparently they needed an earth jutsuist, so they found me (by bumping into me. So convenient). I met a number of new people and old, and it was interesting to see the different abilities within the Land of Fire. We found ourselves fighting a large nest of even larger spiders. Fire jutsuists had to burn most of the things away, then I used my earth jutsu to seal everything up. I'd say it worked very well, all things considered.
Today I was with Hiei-san and Ryouji-kun. I had actually led them on this mission since I had known about a Silence hideout that was in the mountains. It was nice to be working with them, but a bit strange that I was leading for real, too. The only thing that would have made things better would be if Hiro-san and Nariko-sensei was also along with us.
We managed to drive them out of the hideout with Ryouji-kun's explosive tags. Then Hiei-san, Ryouji-kun, and myself took them all out in rather short order. It seemed like we underestimated them a bit, and we even had to power up a bit to defeat them. However, we succeeded, and everything went very well. Hopefully with one less Silence camp, we'll be able to defeat the brothers that much quickly. However, I heard that Tsuneo and Yuuma have revived The Crawler…
Naruko-san and I were sent to escort a caravan of weapons meant for the Land of Fire's Daimyo. On our way to the Land of Fire, we were attacked by a horde of Silence members, numbering about 30, maybe more. It was a difficult battle, and Naruko-san had to rely on her Bijuu's power again. Fortunately she seems to have more control over the Two-Tails (I managed to discover which beast is within her after a combination of research and observation during today's battle), and the battle was in our favor for the most part. However, Yuuma arrived at the end, reviving all the enemies we felled.
While we were able to defeat these members of the Silence again, it was disturbing what they told us after the battle: "This world is ours. We will spread across it like fire and erase your kingdoms to build a new era… The era of Silence and darkness. … Tell the world the children have returned… Tell them their false peace and customs will burn at the feet of the Silence and the Darkness…"
I have sent a note to the Raikage, Amani-san, Hiro-san, Hiei-san, and Nariko-san, so hopefully we, both Kumogakure and the Shinobi world, act on this as soon as possible.

The Silence attacked Konohagakure while I was there. Hiei-san and the Hokage attempted to destroy the people heading the attack, but I imagine they were unsuccessful in their endeavor (based on some of the frustration I could feel from Hiei after the battle). It was an extremely intense fight, and I ended up exhausted by the end of it. The members of the Silence that had fallen turned into zombies again, driven on by their master's will. It was extremely disturbing to see.
I'm glad I managed to escape the battle alive, if passed out by the end. It was extremely difficult despite the fact I was only facing against the small-fry. The Hokage's summoned animal, Xun, was helpful throughout. The panda was able to shield me and several others from a majority of the attacks. Luckily, Ikari-chan was not injured too badly thanks to Xun's help.
As I was recovering in the hospital, I began to wander around. It was then that I happened upon a medical nin, going by the name Yuka. She was quite sharp and immediately enrolled me into her service, though I was mostly just holding items for her. As we moved through the patients, I grew curious about medical ninjutsu, and the two of us agreed that I could learn from her. She gave me a puppet with chakra metal bits inside it. I'm supposed to move these chakra metal pieces without touching them (not that I can with the doll exterior), making them form the skeletal base of a human. This will prove to be tough, so I'll work on it the next few weeks. Perhaps I'll travel back to Konoha in a few weeks as well.
The past few days have shown that myself and Naruto-san are in slight disagreement with each other. I had defeated her one too many times in a 'spar'. I felt very bad in our latest one, as I didn't think I would have injured her so badly to the point she fell unconscious. But I decided to give her time to cool down, think, and such.
Well, she had certainly thought long and hard about what she wanted to do. We ended up fighting against each other, this time not holding back at all. I had to face a number of powerful attacks, though I didn't use too many of my own. Only the defenses were of a high rank (high meaning B). I can tell Naruko's extremely strong. I'm happy that she's grown strong, but also determined to stay ahead of her.
Today I went on a mission with Hiei-san, Sachiko-san, and Ryouji-kun. While I'm always happy to go on a mission, today might have been the exception. Myself and Ryouji-kun were posing as a newly engaged couple so we could sneak into a party. It was… a tad unpleasant, mostly because of all the attention we garnered. If we had been a bit less conspicuous or noticed, perhaps I wouldn't have minded as much…
The mission itself went well, though. We were able to keep our client safe from some of the Silence members that were after his life. Now if only I could sort out my current feelings about Ryouji-kun, then it would have been a good day…
While traveling back from Konoha, I heard news of a Silence attack in the Land of Sea. I responded as quickly as I could to the call, hiring a boatman to carry me from the ports to the island. Hied-San was there too, though I didn't see him very much. He was facing one of the brothers (OOCly know it's Yuuma). I dealt with more of the zombie-like men, though it seemed that men who were alive were also under the influence of the dark chakra. This is a new power that's rather nerve-wracking to know about. I think we need stronger people…
Our forces are continually stopped by the weaker waves of rogues and thieves and archers. We need to come up with a strategy that will reach the brothers right away. Perhaps a strong team can fight through the horde. After the bloodbath, send in our main forces. The Hokage, Mizukage, Raikage, Hiei-san, some of the stronger Jinchuuriki, some of the stronger Seven Swordsmen, Jounin… They should all focus their strength on defeating the brothers. At least… That's what I think.
Naruko-san and I were traveling across the desert when we came upon a man by the name of Eremi. He was dragging a body of a Suna-shinobi, we noticed. While we attempted to stop him, he was extremely powerful. Myself and Naruto-san weren't enough to stop him, by far. Perhaps next time we meet in battle, we'll both be able to take him down. But until that time comes, I'll have to train harder. He used some of the more basic moves to defend against us, though I noticed some of his attacks were similar to Rise-san's. Does this mean anything? …
Today I began to learn medical ninjutsu under Akiyama Kenta-san. He gave me many books on biology and chakra, herbs and medicines. I look forward to reading them all. The one I've started to read contains only the basics, but I intend to finish them within two weeks. I was also given several scrolls that contain information on how medical ninjutsu works. I was able to practice a bit, too. Akiyama-san gave me a worm to use, and I had to heal it. If it moves around too much, then I've put in too much chakra. Yet not enough and it will remain somewhat lifeless. Trying to find a balance is difficult, but I'm working on it slowly.
"We investigate high ranking officials and make sure the Elders stay on the right path. We are the personal guards of the Raikage and most importantly, we are special operations. We take on the difficult missions that other shinobi aren't capable of doing. We hunt down missing nin and criminals of the village. We operate primarily within the Land of Lightning, though we have gone to other lands in pursuit of our targets…with permission, of course. We operate from the shadows, silent and decisive. We wear the masks of animals to protect our identity. Like I said, some of our work involves high ranking officials. The mask prevents them from taking revenge on our families. And last, but not least, is that we are responsible for our Jinchuuriki. We make sure they are protected and we are trained to handle them should the bijuu get out of control. Our task is dangerous, and our job is thankless." ~KRD Commander (slightly modified)
Today I was extended an invitation of sorts: joining the Kamen Rai Da. It didn't take me long to accept, but I was very thorough in my analysis. I hope I made the right choice in the end…
December 2014 Entries
Today I was in Soren-san's shop when Ayame-chan suddenly poofed inside. With her were several fox kits, which were all rather cute. One of them seemed a bit injured, though was also extremely aggressive when it came to treatment. Ayame-chan called her… 'Kimura', I believe. Luckily for Kimura-san, I had a scroll with me that allows for my chakra to be turned into healing chakra. I used the scroll to heal the young fox, though I think she'll be very mad at me for it… Hopefully she doesn't mind too much. Ayame-chan gave me permission, though, so it must be for the best.
I decided to deal directly with my feelings in regards to Ryouji-kun. I'm still hesitant to say that I am… <Insert a large number of scribbles here>, but I suppose I could give it a try. I haven't /not/ enjoyed our dates, if that's any indication… It's really confusing right now. Hopefully I'll be able to figure it out soon, though.
I managed to get Ryouji-kun to tell me his feelings. It only took a little prodding… Though I suppose he's told me his feelings a number of times before this. Another time doesn't hurt. I just turned a blind eye to it, I suppose… Hmm… His words made me feel… oddly happy. I wasn't sure how to handle that feeling, though. Maybe next time I feel that way I'll know what to do. Perhaps I should seek advice on this…
Well, I suppose this is a bit late… But I was out with Naruto-san and Sachiko-san when we came across Mushi-san and Red-kun. Viper-san, from the KRD, joined us as well. Mushi-san's brother, I believe, had quite literally back-stabbed her to retrieve the Bijuu from her, apparently. It was quite nerve-wracking, though dealing with the culprits was far too easy. Especially with Viper-san. I took word back to Kumogakure on the situation, getting one of the better sealers to come and look at Mushi-san.
I was there at the time when we extracted the Bijuu. The Saito I had gotten, Yuki-san, worked very hard to keep Mushi-san alive while extracting the beast. 'Chomei', I believe, is what Mushi-san called it? They brought out a large pot… and then Red-kun got a large hummingbird … It was all rather strange… I'm not sure what'll happen to the Tailed Beast later, but it will be good for Kumogakure to have once we find a host, I think.
One of my old Academy friends appeared recently. Hebisuuhai Hisomu-san. I expected to see her snake, Kirameki, with her, but apparently it as well as her sensei and a teammate, perished during a mission. It was supposed to be simple, but… In the end, only she made it out along with one other. And this other teammate was unable to continue mentally, apparently. It's sad to hear that some of my classmates are now unable to continue their duty, for whatever reason, but I'm glad Hisomu-san made it. I had heard rumors about the entire thing, but I was very surprised to find it was her.
I was in Konohagakure. Well, the Land of Fire. I noticed smoke and ran towards the source, finally coming upon Hiei-san, Atsuro-san, and Taizen-san. We worked together to hunt down a woman and a child, who later turned out to be Akane-san. But … not her. She was called 'Kyoujin' for the longest time. There was something sinister about her person that made me nervous for my life, as well as the people's around me. But eventually Akane took control, thanks to exhaustion. It was fortunate, and also it meant that she had to be the bearer of bad news: Yuma had absorbed the Crawler.
Akane-san told us that she had managed to rescue a young girl from Yuma's target village and she and Sei-san had stopped two Konoha shinobi from breaking the deal and attempting to save the village. I'm not sure if that was a good thing or not, but I suppose the deal that Watanabe-san made with Yuma is still upheld.
Hiei-san is the new Raikage. I'm both happy to see a teacher of mine become the leader of my village, and disappointed that my own sensei was unable to make this position. I think Nariko-sensei would make a good Raikage. Truthfully, I don't think Hiei-san is meant for this position. He dislikes sitting still for too long, and he tends to be very rash when it comes to threats. 'Hit them until they stop hitting back' seems to be his main style of fighting. While this can be a good strategy, I feel it may need a bit of refinement… However, I'm neither part of the Elder Council, nor am I a candidate for Raikage. So what do I know?
Hiei-san sent for me to meet in his office. I can't refuse an invitation from the Raikage, of course, so I went. What surprised me, though, was not that he wanted to speak to me. No, that sounds fair. His reason to speak with me, though, was very surprising. He asked me if I wanted to help him out. With what? Well, help him schedule meetings, organize some of the missions, etc. I get a lot of access to some interesting files, which is one perk to the job. Another perk is that I am like a bodyguard to the Raikage. I'm not sure how I'd be a good bodyguard, but if that's what Hiei-san wants. He's also asked me to become the leader of the Kamen Rai Da despite the fact that I've only been within its ranks for what seems like only a few weeks. *looks back* Well, about a month, I suppose… Not that anything has been made better. I suppose I'll try, though. Hopefully it works out.
Today marks the formation of 'Team Volcano', made up of myself, Naruko-san, and Hisomu-san. I look forward to being apart of this new team, though I am still a member of Team Katonari. I wonder if Ryouji-kun, Sado-kun, and I will ever get to go on a mission together again… For now, I'm hoping to simply work on Team Volcano's teamwork. While I've worked with Naruko-san before, Hisomu-san is a bit more unfamiliar. I need to make sure she's able to keep up with me and Naruko-san, considering the two of us are around Chuunin and Jounin level. The bottom tiers of said levels, but still. I think, provided enough training, we'll be able to do quite a bit of damage against enemies.
A strange message came up a week or so ago with a detailed description of a body that was Yuuma yet not. There was a small flaw on his figure that obviously made it not him. I had some medic nin investigate, but they were a bit baffled as to how this happened. I wonder if our skills aren't high enough… Anyway, I sent a message to Akane-san in hopes that she could look at some of the bodies that were cropping up. I also got reports of Yuuma lookalikes appearing at houses and claiming to be family members.
The overall mission was strange, but we found several leads that should tell us what was going on. We captured the leader who seemed to be in charge, as well as one of the men that was changed. Perhaps this will shed some light on things…
Today I met Soren-san and Ayame-chan in Kumogakure unexpectedly. The two had, and I quote, "good news, bad news, worse news, and horrible news". Respectively, it was that Soren-san was unable to convince the elders to meet with me. But Ayame-chan managed to talk to them. So the elders wish to meet with me, and Kimura-san just might end up as my partner.
We visited the Land of Foxes where the elders (foxes of various sizes) made sure I was willing to enter a summoning contract, and specifically with Kimura-san. I hope I made the right decision when I said yes. I look forward to working with the fox-pup, especially now that she's no longer out to bite off my head. I wonder if we'll be able to work together well.

Today I came across Hige and Konsho, both from the Land of Fire. I'm not quite sure why so many Konoha-nin are here. I understand the two villages are allied, but I would have thought they would only send a few at a time. Instead they managed to send a large horde of genin (with someone to look after them, from the sounds of it. This one, Hige-san, seems quite grumpy and seems to dislike being around his classmates. I wonder why… Kaido-san managed to poke at his buttons as well.
Today I came across Hige-san in the training center. He was practicing, it seemed, so I assisted in teaching him some more about chakra control. Kaido-san was trying to teach him that the other day, but he didn't seem to be listening too hard. I thought perhaps I could hit the nail on the head a bit harder with reinforcement. My plan seemed to work, too, as Hige-san has advanced in his training. He is, though unsteadily, able to create a sort of chakra glove around his hand. If he continues on as such, he just might be able to use even more abilities. I realize that he might not be in town for long, but I am sort of hoping he stays.
I was sent to Konoha to assist in the retrieval of the Inuzuka Clan Head, Taiki. A user of earth, apparently, is very helpful when going into a dungeon that's underground. I was able to assist, though I'm not sure to what degree, in regaining Taiki-sama with several others. Specifically Inuzuka Atsuro and Taizen, Akiyama Kenta, and several others. After we escaped from whoever it was that was keeping Taiki-sama captive, I helped do some on-the-spot healing before returning to Kumogakure.
Today I decided to approach Hiei-san and make sure it was alright for Hige-kun to stay in Kumogakure. It seems that so long as rules are followed and Konoha doesn't mind, he can, which was good to hear. Of course, I noticed that Hiei-san seemed a bit angry, so I offered to spar him. It was, perhaps, better for him to beat me up than it was for him to defeat a number of other shinobi. At least, that's what I thought. Hige-kun decided to help too, though I wasn't too thrilled about that. I know both of their strength, and Hige-kun wouldn't last a second if he were on his own. But I didn't think he would step down.
In the end, I lost. And I expected that. I just didn't expect a lightning blow to the back of my head that could have killed me… Fortunately I managed to just barely avoid major injury. Now I'm just imagining all the paperwork that's going to be built up, and I am slightly terrified to recover…
A mission with Ryouji-kun. It felt like I hadn't been on one with him in a long time. Hisomu-san and Hige-kun were also with us, which was nice. We were tasked to investigate the hideout of a former KRD Agent by the name of Goat. I imagine he left before I could have gotten to know him, considering I don't remember hearing his name before. He had a large underground network. According to Ryouji-kun, the compound wasn't much in terms of chakra-users. I imagine Goat was the bright spot in his vision. I'm to work with Kaido-san and Hige-kun on the plans with Naruko-san as second-in-command when we storm the fortress. Hopefully this mission goes well!
Only rumors, but apparently so true that many have confirmed. The existence of an underground tournament that the brothers were hosting, for one. The gore and bloodshed that was down there, two. And the decision to retract the peace and prepare for an all out battle… Three. The news came from Rise-san. I do wonder what she was doing there, but I suppose that's got to do with her own personal journey that she's been doing recently. I've been helping Hiei-san organize meetings with the other Kage and their higher-ups so that we can figure out what we want to do about the Silence. I wonder if Kirigakure is planning to also join us. Perhaps not as allies, officially, but if we are working on the same side..? If that were to happen, then hopefullly we don't get in each other's way.
Well, Kaido-san went to do the impossible: he managed to anger both the Hokage /and/ his clan head. Apparently he wanted to defect to Kumogakure. While I value his skills as a strategist and believe he would be a good Jounin and General, I'm questioning how much he thought over this plan to defect. In my opinion, not enough. Hige-kun is affected by it, too, which just makes things worse. They've been recalled to the Land of Fire, so Hiei-san and myself will go with them to try and testify. Hopefully this doesn't take long, as most of Kumogakure's forces are being recalled as I write.
Shortly before leaving Kumogakure for the trip to Konoha, Hiei called me into his office to give me yet another title. One of 'Tokubetsu Jounin'. While he doesn't want to make me a full Jounin due to my age, he seems to recognize that the rank of Chuunin doesn't quite fit, given my current positions. I'll do my best not to fail, at least. My duties haven't expanded much, fortunately. I feel like there's already a lot on my plate. Once things settle down, though, I should be able to figure everything out.
Kaido-san finally had his trial today, and it was, if I may say, a complete and utter mess. Not only did it seem like everyone was stepping on everyone else's toes, I feel that the shinobi of Kumogakure had no impact on the proceedings. Kaido-san didn't help in the fact that he insulted Taiki-sama. That was just rude of him. I feel that if this weren't so public, Taiki-san could have gone either way. But the verdict… :
Taiki looks down upon Kaido and Bandit for a few long moments, allowing his expression of resigned disgust to show just what he feels about all of this. "Inuzuka Kaido, Inuzuka Bandit, you have been found guilty of attempted defection and attempted abandonment of the Clan. Normally, these charges alone would call for death, however, this clan is faced with conflicts on two fronts, and can ill afford to loose able-bodied shinobi. Therefore, at this time I conditionally suspend the recommended sentence. As conditions of this suspension, you are to be demoted to the rank of genin, and confined to boundaries of Konohagakure for a period of one year. During this time, you will be watched by members of the Inuzuka Clan, and required to undergo classes in leadership, deductive reasoning, and decourum. Furthermore, you will be fined 25 percent of your pay for the next six months. However, any further attempts to leave the clan and/or defect to another village, or failure to abide by these conditions will see this sentence carried out immediately. This is your last chance, Inuzuka Kaido, ninken Bandit. I heartily suggest you start attempting to repair your reputations, for you're going to be living here for quite some time."

Today we set out to kill/capture Goat. We infiltrated the mountain using Kaido-san's plan successfully. Hiei-san and Takeo-san created a good distraction while Hige-kun and Kaido-san and their ninken fought the rest that were coming out. Naruko-san, Akane-san, myself, and Takeo-san were able to take out everyone who stood in our way, and eventually we got to Goat. Akane-san took him down with one blow, which was extremely impressive, to say the least. It was good he wasn't expecting us! The mission itself was a success, and Hiei-san was glad to have been rid of the KRD agent. Apparently he was a part of the coup that occurred a long time ago. I only know a little on it from reading the files, but I'm hoping nothing that terrible happens while I'm head of the Kamen Rai Da.
The Silence has showed up again! A team of Kumo-nin were sent to help fight. Hiei-san, Naruko-san, Rise-san, and myself… Members of Konoha and Suna joined the battle, but in the end, it was myself, Rise-san, Hiei-san, Naruko-san, and Itami-sama. We were able to ride Itami-sama into battle (which was impressive in and of itself), resulting in very good hits on Yuuma. I believe Rise-san was able to do the most damage that was the most useful of all, trapping Yuuma in a whirlwind just by her kick. Even with an arm missing, too…
Akane-san was taken over by the Hitokage during the battle. While we had to fight her, she wasn't as difficult to take down as say Yuuma. Hiei-san put a sword through her to get rid of the Hitokage, which apparently worked. I'm surprised Akane-san isn't dead… At the end of the day, we were able to defeat Yuuma. He even gave us a parting gift, though I'm going to have to work on decoding it… A task for tomorrow.
I've been working on decoding the scroll for the past few days. I've also been watching over Akane-san to make sure the medics don't have too much issue. There was a bit of trouble at one point thanks to the Hitokage still being within her, but Uchiha Yuuto came to help her defeat that shadow. After he left, Akane-san went back to normal. I suppose that's a good thing, yes?
The scroll itself is not that difficult to decode once you get the hang of it. I've managed to figure out a lot of it… What I'm worried most about is its contents… Currently, there's various notes on Yuuma, and it also seems to point to a location I've never heard of. But… I have a feeling this is all important. Something that relates to the Crawler, judging by what I've found out before. Either that, or a way to destroy Yuuma, but I doubt he would give us something like that… Time will tell.
Today I found myself assisting Akane-san. She's been in the hospital for the past while, so I've been helping take care of Kit-chan. We went to get some chicken kabobs, which she enjoyed immensely. I got a bit more to go. The vendor was kind enough to give me a sort of discount, as well! After we ate, Kit-chan and I made our way to the beach. I summoned Kimura-san for her to play with, and we all went looking for seashells and such. It was pleasant, though I did have to make sure she didn't drown or anything. Once we finished with that, we went to build a snowman. It had acorns for eyes and branches for arms. I think it was about five feet tall in total. Very impressive. Kit-chan even spoke a few times while we were out, which I reported to Akane-san happily.
Today I came across a boy by the name of Saito Yori. I suppose I shouldn't call him a boy since he's only a few years younger than I am… Regardless, I am curious to learn about him. He told me that his goal was to become a member of the Raikage's personal bodyguards: the Senshi. They are the highest honor a Saito could get, especially within his own clan. If he has such aspirations, perhaps I can sway him? Or at least show him options are available… Of course, this all depends on his skill level. He is only a genin, but I look forward to seeing him grow. And perhaps I can get him to train with me as an actual student… Even if he is taller than me…
Today I spoke with Yori-san. I found out he lived with his aunt and uncle, and apparently he has been working with vambraces as his main form of style. It's interesting. Most, especially in Kumogakure, take upon themselves kenjutsu or chakra-enhanced taijutsu (elemental or not). This makes me even more curious to see his progression. I offered him a spot on Team Volcano and offered to be his sensei. While I cannot teach him anything beyond the basics of taijutsu, I can help him with ninjutsu and become a teacher to him. In a way, he would be my first student. Let's see how well I screw this up…
Valentine's Day is supposed to be a day spent with those you love. Apparently my father has heard about my feelings for Ryouji-kun (if they even are that) and he convinced me to get him a gift and go out with him for dinner. And, because I would rather not argue over such a little detail, I listened. It was actually a pleasant night. We exchanged gifts. I gave him a chain that had the Reizei symbol upon the Murasame Clan symbol, or at least, one of its older symbols that can always seem rather neutral. And he gave me a necklace with a Sand Diamond at the end of it. It's pale orange and red, much like fire. I like it a lot. It's very beautiful, I think.
Sometimes I feel the village is a bit … too quiet. Sado-kun is off training, Ryouji-kun has been on a number of missions, Hiei-san is off in Sunagakure, and everyone else is who-knows-where. I do recall Naruko-san saying she was off to Konoha after a mission with Sachiko-san. I wonder what happened… It could have been Hisomu-san, of course. But who knows. I feel like everyone's cooped up or doing their own thing. It's a bit frustrating to see most of the people I would rely on gone. It leaves room for others to prove themselves, but they haven't done so yet.
March 2015 Entries
This morning at 4am, there was an explosion at the prison, resulting in 37 prisoners escaping. I quickly sent out news of what happened, alerting all shinobi to be on guard. Since it was a prison with a number of former KRD agents and B-S rank criminals, I also said that anyone of Genin Rank and below had to travel with someone of Chuunin rank or higher. Students, I'd rather not even leave the village, if possible. Then I quickly requested that Yori-san and Rise-san join me in investigating the prison. It's good to have more than one person investigate. I'd rather not miss any important details, and I can't, nor do I wish to, do everything myself. To have people to bounce ideas off of and make up for where I am week is a priceless thing.
Anyway, I discovered that some criminals like The Ox King, Goat, and one of the Pirate Captains we caught had escaped. Somehow I had a hand in dealing with all their captures, one way or another. Hopefully I can remember all their skills, but … That being said, I'm planning to organize the shinobi even further. There's a slight step up in the patrols in that more higher-ranking shinobi will be a part of them. I don't want to exhaust the resources, so the patrols are sparser with more of our forces getting deployed. This 'Ganri' person, I'll go to warn Akane-san about. It seems he was in the Lowlands village where she was staying. He might even be housing Goat and the other criminals.
Once we capture someone, I think it'll be easier to proceed forward. I have an eye on the docks too, in case the pirate captain has decided to head there. And I'm to deliver a message to Hiei-san, as it was his sister, Yotsuki Kaoru, that told me a lot of the information I have now. If it's not one thing, it's another. A prison break and the Silence Threat. If something else decides to blow up… Well, hopefully we'll have more people to rely on by that point.
I… apparently have a half-sister? Otou-san never told me much about Okaa-san, so I always assumed she was dead. But Matsuyama Kirika, a new transfer from Iwagakure, has revealed to me that she is my sister. Her father, who apparently is giving our clan a bad name, has been cruel to her and Okaa-san. Which means that she's still alive… I have a lot of questions now… And I'm not sure who I can turn to for answers. I allowed Yori-san to join in the conversation because he happened to be there, but I think I might regret it someday… I hope that day is not anytime soon.
I sparred- no, I fought against Kasuya-san today. It's been a long time since we last faced off, and she was as strong as ever. However, this time, she truly did not hold back against me. I didn't go all-out against her, but I don't think she did either. I have a feeling I should work on my genjutsu defenses, but sometimes even those do not help me. I don't know if I should attempt to break free from them without pain, either… It's a difficult decision. That being said, I ended up unconscious at the end of the fight, but I was still happy with myself. Sometimes I wonder the difference between Hiei-san and Kasuya-san. Both have beat me to near-death, but I was only mad at the former…
Suzume-san's absence was not unnoticed by Hiei-san, it seems. He decided to kill two birds with one stone, removing Kane-san as Suzume-san's teacher and placing her under the command of Ryouji-kun. While I don't see what techniques Suzume-san could learn, aside from perhaps lightning ninjutsu, Ryouji-kun should be able to hone his leadership skills. It's something that needs to be stepped up within Kumogakure, I think. Everyone's so eager to train, yet no one is around to help lead.
Since I have learned about my heritage, I have been keeping an eye on Iwagakure for the time being, making sure that they don't do anything that would result in my being hunted down. While I am fairly sure that they don't know of my existence, I know that my mother is still with them… If they try anything on her, she could reveal what happened. The whole scheme. A new Tsuchikage has taken control, and I doubt much will happen in the way of them trying to find me. But one never knows… We'll see just how long it takes for me to break, or for them to discover…
April 2015 Entries
Today was the final battle with the Silence. While some of our forces stayed in the Land of Lightning, many (including myself, Hiei-san, Rise-san, and Akane-san) went to the main battle at Kyuusen Crater. I was mostly tasked with healing, but I was also using my jutsu to keep the dead where they belong: in their graves. It was useful and rather heartening to see the effect I had, which allowed a puppeteer from Sunagakure (Kaidan, he mentioned to me later) to land many powerful strikes. Eventually we were able to defeat Yuuma, though I don't know where his brother is. The Crawler is to be sealed away within his body until further notice, hopefully forever, and the Hitokage will disappear. It's time for peace, I hope, so that we can all rebuild.
Thanks to the latest Silence Battle, I was able to take a trip through the Land of Fire to eventually get back to Kumogakure. The journey itself was… Long, to say the least. But I was able to get some 'rest and relaxation'. Kaido-san and Bandit-san seem to have parted ways for the moment, so I am curious what will happen with the two. For now, Kaido-san is working with a new nin-ken. Hige-kun seems to be doing very well, though I have a feeling his anger management still needs work. He's gotten stronger, too, which was nice to see. I met a friend of his, Zori, whom he placed in the hospital… Overall, a successful visit. Kimura-san can travel with Ayame-chan and keep an eye on Hige-kun, too.
Zetto-san has left Kumogakure, apparently. While I do not know all of the circumstances surrounding his departure, Hiei-san is keeping him at large. I plan to assign KRD teams to find him at some point in time, just in case, but I will make sure that is alright with Hiei-san. We've already got our hands full with the escaped prisoners. Fortunately we've managed to capture one of them, so things should start to improve in that field.
Another criminal was discovered: Mitakihara Umi. She's a powerful water-user who killed her parents and several genin. She never came to the shinobi village for training, though I'm not sure why. If she were on our side, we would have a very strong force, indeed… That being said, I am enlisting Hiei-san, Hisomu-san, and Yori-san when we capture her. The people assisting her should lose to a pair of genin, should our cards be played correctly.
*UPDATE* 04-20-12: Hiei-san was able to take down Umi. I took her brother, Zen, and Hisomu-san and Yori-san were able to stop Ryuugami, her cousin. Now that that's done, perhaps Kumogakure can search for its next target and the villages will feel a little safer. The good news is that we're stopping the criminals before they do too much damage. The bad news is that the more we find, the more tucked in those remaining will be…
May 2015 Entries
With the capture of Umi, we have found that people are willing to carry out justice themselves. However, they aren't doing it very well… Many innocent lives are being claimed, which is highly unfortunate. I have started to send out a few patrols that would go to the villagers to try and quell them. However, there's only so much that we can do… I think Rise-san and Yori-san might make a good combination. It would be a show of strength and intelligence.
Today I was out with Yori-san patrolling and talking to him about Water walking. We were going to the lake nearby when something felt… off. I'm not sure how to describe it. I sensed Ryouji-kun nearby, but he didn't move that much. When I got to him, there was the face of an escaped criminal: Reizei Ming Ha. She had stabbed through Ryouji-kun's body. I had heard she was seeking revenge against her clan, but I didn't realize she would try to take it out on Ryouji-kun. I was able to apprehend her quickly and also heal Ryouji-kun's wounds… Though I worry a bit… What if I wasn't going out to train Yori-san? A lot worse could have happened…
Today I met with Yamayuki Nozomi. She had gone back to help her village with some bandit issues. Now that she's back, I look forward to watching her grow. I think that she might learn from Amani-san, should she wish to learn more about her clan's abilities. If she ever wants to work on her taijutsu, like she mentioned, then I can point her to many others that are not me. Heh… I've been working very hard on my own ninjutsu, actually… I should include some of my findings in this journal.
So I had sent Rise-san and Yori-san on the village-quelling mission, coming along to keep an eye on the two. I feel that Rise-san isn't ready to be a Chuunin as of yet, though she is certainly strong enough. There is something about her that is… off enough she shouldn't be promoted. The neutrality of most of her attitude, I suppose. But she does well when she has instructions, which is better than some things. I think I need to test how innovative she is, though she was able to adjust to the sudden fires very well. Myself and Kimura-san took care of rescuing the people with little issue, though the buildings are a bit ruined. I'll have to see about repairing them.
Pasted in, reading 03-18-15 in the corner - Developing new jutsu is difficult, especially with limited skills. So I have endeavored to learn how to create jutsu with a single hand. I don't think it should be to difficult, considering I already do this instinctively with my metal jutsu…
Pasted in, reading 04-30-15 - I have managed to create a metallic spike that is considerably dense. And I have been working on my smithing skills, though I am only creating things with my metal jutsu. It's difficult, but I'm working to make it extremely thin yet durable. As mentioned, it's tricky… But I feel that I may be able to succeed, especially if I add chakra.
Pasted in, reading 5-10-15 - I have succeeded in creating metal greaves and vambraces similar to Yori-san's. It will take a long time getting used to utilizing these tools, but I think it will be a bit better for my durability. I think I should also work on a way to increase my medic abilities, but that remains to be seen… Hmm… There are a number of things I need to plan out, I feel…
June 2015 Entries
One of the prisoners escaped capture a second time, and we had to round him up. A puppeteer, of all things, who seemed very fond of traps. Ryouji-kun, Yori-san, and myself, along with Nozomi-san. I thought Nozomi-san did very well, considering her current status as a genin. I think she will become a valuable shinobi to the village, given enough time and training. All I can hope for is that she continues to work as hard as she has been noted to.
A number of shinobi are coming back to active duty, thankfully. It's good to see all the hands coming back in. Perhaps we can continue on with our hunting of the criminals. A genin, Saito Yaijian, and Chuunin Yotsuki Kaminari are our latest shinobi, actually. The two have been known for interesting things. One getting struck by a rather bad blast of lightning and living to tell the tale. The other for performing rituals, carrying around a staff, and hugging people. She taught a bit at the Academy, at least, so I know she can be capable, if not a bit brusque. I only had the pleasure of meeting her once.
Saito Yaji, as she likes to be called, seems interested in becoming a member of the Senshi. I have yet to know her capabilities, but I am always willing to help our shinobi reach their goals. The more they do, the better the village will be, and I know I can leave it in good hands.
The other day I went on a mission with Hanami-san, Ryouji-kun, Yori-san, Naruko-san, and Nozomi-san. We were tasked with assisting a smaller lord in the Land of Lightning by guarding his party. Some of us posed as guests, some posed as wait-staff. Nozomi-san was a part of the band with her musical talent that I suppose many Yamayuki have. Everything went well, and we were able to take down some thieves that tried to ruin the night. I can't help but wonder a bit at my emotions, though… They get in a rather large turmoil when I see Ryouji-kun with another girl…
More of this rotten emotion known as 'Jealousy', I suppose. Naruko-san approached Ryouji-kun, actually, and asked about our relationship. It ended up getting both of us embarrassed, but we survived, in a sense. Naruko-san even threatened Ryouji-kun, saying that if he hurt me, she would probably have to hurt him. I found that rather amusing, actually… But I suppose she really is like a big sister to me.
The Bijuu within Naruko-san was increasing its influence while I wasn't looking. I blame myself for not recognizing the signs sooner, but this is my first time dealing with a Jinchuuriki as well… Fortunately I was able to protect Yori-san for the most part. He only suffered one injury, even if it was a large one, and I was able to restrain Naruko-san. No… She is being controlled by Matatabi right now… I took Naruko-san to the Cave after I healed Yori-san. I assigned Kamen Rai Da to make sure she wouldn't wander on her own, so that should help a bit. I hope we can help her master the Two-tails… I worry about Hisomu-san, too…
July 2015 Entries
Today I was arguing with Father… It was on how he never mentioned Kirika-san to me, even though she's clearly older than I am. It means that something was… illegitimate. In fact, it more implies that I was, than anything. Both a sting to my pride and Kumogakure, is what I'm inclined to think… Yori-san ended up witnessing our argument and actually calmed me down. It's likely because the situation hit me so close to home that I was unable to think over it clearly… That's my fault. But I have decided that I will no longer worry about the past. So long as I keep moving forward, I believe things will all work out for the best.
Today I took a team to track down Kenri, a target in the Bingobook. He's a simple pirate, so the only difficulties in finding him should be the fact that he's to be found in the sea. Literally. I got to work with Hige-kun, which was actually very nice. He's grown quite a bit since I last saw him. I'm sure he'll become a Chuunin soon, given what I saw. Though I suppose that if his temper hasn't been reigned in, he might face difficulties there…. Regardless, I anticipate his promotion and shall make sure he has a proper gift.
UPDATE 06-14-12:
After discovering that Kenri took a ship, we decided to take a boat out to get him officially. Myself, Ryouji-kun, and Rise-san were all on the mission. While we didn't win, per se, we were able to capture him. I think we underestimated him, though… Given the fact that he was able to find us despite our hiding and he was able to escape our capture. The only reason he gave up was because we were in the middle of nowhere. A win is a win, but this one was very frustrating.
Today I sparred against Ryouji-kun, and we decided to make it a bit more interesting with a bet. If I were to win, then he would have to tell his parents about us. And if he won, then I would give him a kiss. I'm not sure if it was a completely fair bet, but I knew it would at least nudge him into action. Fortunately or not, I came out the victor in our spar and Ryouji-kun has to talk to his parents. I did notice… Yori-san has been rather obsessed with his research lately. I remember that he was sent out to help guide some supplies to the villages, so I wonder if that loss had anything to do with his attitude… Maybe another mission that is a success will work. Now to actually find one…
The Hawk Brothers, a duo that's been noted for using hawk summons, was tracked down after a while. It's been difficult making sure each of the criminals has been taken care of, as there were so many that escaped, but we're getting there slowly and surely. I suppose I ought to take note of other events that are happening in Kumogakure. Maneshi Raion and Pansa have been working with Kumogakure for a long time, several weeks, and they expressed interest in joining the village's ranks of shinobi. I'm not entirely opposed, but I would like to make sure his loyalties are not going to be divided. As such, I will be sure that he's fine to keep in Kumogakure. Until then…
August 2015 Entries
Maneshi Raion and Pansa have been watched for a good five days, in addition to the weeks leading up to his arrival within Kumogakure. It's been decided that Kumogakure would 1: like a tracker of sorts. 2: like someone skilled within our ranks. 3: enjoy having Raion-san and Pansa-san as a member of the village. The forms have all been filled out, and he's already on the mission roster. I'll have to update a few things to ensure that he's getting paid the amount a genin would receive, as that's his current official rank. But other than that…. I look forward to seeing him more.
Hige-kun is actually in town! It was very good to see him. I know I saw him in passing when returning home from Konohagakure, but it really isn't the same. I wonder if I mentioned… But he's currently a Chuunin. It may seem a bit odd, but I'm very proud of him. I think he'll be a very good leader down the line, and I may end up facing off against him in a friendly rivalry when it comes to leadership within our respective villages. Heh… I won't lose, even if he doesn't realize this competition is even occurring.
To make sure my skills haven't dulled, and to see just how much Hige-kun has grown, I sparred with him today. I think he ended up almost going all-out against me to keep up, but it was a very fun match. I won in two hits when he underestimated me, but after that it was fairly even. It was only luck that kept me from getting more scratches that I likely should have received. I wish Hige-kun could stay a bit longer, but all good things must come to an end.
I thought I mentioned it, but looking back, it seems I neglected to say that Matatabi is no longer in control. Naruko-san was able to regain her body after a long struggle. I can't imagine it was easy for her, but it certainly is good to see her back. I'm a bit nervous at how strong she's gotten so far, but hopefully one day she'll beat me. I'm going to do my best to make sure that day isn't any time soon, though, of course. Heh… I was, sadly, not there when she turned back, but I heard it was quite a sight…
September 2015 Entries
Hiei-san reported back to me that the mission against the criminals that had rallied around the Hozuki, Hozuki Kirito, were all dead. While I am glad for this victory, I am disheartened by what it took to take them out. I wonder … If I had been there, would we have fared better? Hige-kun ended up in the hospital after all of this, and Yuzuna-san… Hiei-san took care of the bodies, which I'm glad of. I don't think I could have seen them without wanting to destroy them further. The funeral will likely be held soon, and will be grand. I heard that Yuzuna-san died protecting Hiei-san and Hige-kun, whispering our last Raikage's name with a smile… I hope this is true.
Today I pursued a man who was trying to mess with Mother Nature. It makes me wonder if Kumogakure should invest in an animal tamer of sorts, once again… Anyway, I was with Amani-san, Rise-san, and Nozomi-san. I believe that Nozomi-san's unique attacks are a valuable asset, especially when dealing with animals or those who are not prepared to face sound. I wonder if Amani-san will help her with any clan techniques… I may or may not ask her later on. Rise-san decided to keep one of the bears, and the others I ended up burning alive. They wouldn't let me get close enough to put them to sleep…
Ryouji-kun's father, Reizei Yuuma, passed away recently. Well, he was killed by someone… A poison Kunai was in his back when he was found. I give my best wishes to Ryouji-kun, of course. That's two family members in such a short time. His older brother, Reizei Tenzen, is going to become the next Clan Head, it seems, so I look forward to working with him. But I am sad that it is with such a heavy cost that I am working with him… With this next generation, though, I hope that Kumogakure will continue to grow stronger and stronger. There is no peak; Not even mountains will touch the clouds.
Hebisuuhai Kana, a target that has acquired the summons contract with the snakes, has finally been discovered. We seem to have only a few criminals left to track down. The Mizukage sent word to us that he had found some of the escaped criminals and would be dealing with them himself. I'm guessing that there are around five within the Land of Water, more or less, so I will say that we've only nine criminals remaining. I took down Kana-san with Shirokiri Rise-san. … She's a good shinobi, but nothing more than a genin. At least from what I can tell… I would like to conduct some sort of test, though, as it… is difficult to test someone when they know they are being watched. Now, how to do that is another question.
October 2015 Entries
I have made it to fourteen years of age… Hmm… A lot of things have happened between now and my last… Another promotion, for one. I am a Tokubetsu Jounin, KRD Commander, and the right hand of the Raikage, in charge of logistics and missions. Foreseeing this … I wouldn't have, certainly. I suppose… I should address my father again. He always had bright hopes for me when I was picking up ninjutsu so quickly. I think, after expanding my horizons, I'll have to narrow my scope so that I can master more difficult jutsu. It will be a challenge, but I am ready for it. Metal… is tricky to work with, but it will someday become such that I can wield it like I can fire and earth, I hope. And perhaps someday, I will also acquire the skill in the field of medicine, though less as a hospital-medic and more as a combat-medic. I wonder… What will the upcoming years bring?
I went on a mission with Yori-san and we found the body of the snake that the Hebisuuhai had summoned. It seems to be poisonous, as many of the wildlife would not touch it. Samples will be sent back to Kumogakure as soon as possible so we can have it analyzed. Until then, I have sealed the snake it a barrier of metal. We then proceeded to a village that was largely helped by Yori-san. He had, with his teaching the villagers fighting skills, made a big impact on them. I wanted to show him the results and hopefully that will encourage him and his desire to pursue his goals. However, while we were traveling, we were attacked by a stranger…
Well, the person who attacked isn't answering many questions. We were able to capture him and we brought him to the village for interrogation. Apparently he is from Iwagakure, specifically of the Murasame clan. From what I gathered, he's managed to figure out that my disappearance was all a scam and he started to look for me. Seeking to bring a bit of honor to his name, perhaps? Regardless of his goal, he hasn't told me much of anything yet. Yori-san was present during the investigation, as it seemed he was able to get a ruse from the boy more than I was able to get information… Hm… Perhaps after some more convincing methods, we'll be able to see just what he was after and why he was alone.
Interesting… The Mizukage has announced the Steel Soul Tournament, a tourney where shinobi can test their skills… I think it is a good opportunity to see what we're up against, in terms of the other nations, and I don't doubt that's what the main purpose of this tournament is. However, it is a good chance to see… What they are like. … Hmm… So curious… So very curious… I don't know if I'll join or not. I know Ryouji-kun is very excited about the whole thing, though. And I'll likely end up going since Hiei-san wishes to fight the Mizukage… Sigh… Looks like I need to prepare.
November 2015 Entries
The travel to Kirigakure took not much time… I actually am looking forward to it. While I am still deciding whether or not to join in, the Mizukage was quite convincing in his speech to join. Perhaps it is my pride speaking, but I do want to prove that Kumo shinobi are strong. I shouldn't go all-out, though… And I'd need to keep some things a secret… They celebrated their new Chuunin at the Ceremony. Shimizu Kiji-san was the only one I knew, but I was glad for her. I hope she finds success later on. And then … Okumo Naoya… And Moto Kiyoshi… Are two that looked quite interesting. I think I'll keep an eye on them for the future.
Speaking of strength, I ran into a former Seven Swordsmen. Uzumaki Isra. She was a good opponent, though I managed to defeat her. I wonder if she had had her sword that I would come out… Regardless, it was a good spar, and I think I may end up fighting in the tournament anyway.
… Interestingly enough… I ended up fighting against Watanabe Itami, the newest Kazekage. She's amazingly strong, and I was just barely able to pull a win out. I think we didn't even fight for very long or very hard. It was, after all, a simple spar. She had started out simply complaining about the rise in prices at the food stands, then she dragged me to the Arena… Well, I couldn't really refuse, so I ended up sparring, or would it be fighting, the Kazekage. It was interesting… She uses Glass and Fire, and something that… I don't know what it's called, but she is able to hit someone in such a way that it drains your body. I think I may use that in the future with my medical techniques…
I fought against Moto Kiyoshi today… It was a rough battle, and both of my arms ended up in shreds. I was lucky to come out with them both functioning. It is, I suppose, extremely fortunate that I know medic jutsu, or I would have lost both the match and my arms. Interestingly enough, Kiyoshi-san gave up. I think if he had done any more damage, he would have won. Though I could outlast him, I think. Another interesting point is that he is a Jinchuuriki. I think I may have to tell Hiei-san that, just in case. It seems that they do not hide that status, though…
I sent a mail to the Tsuchikage, requesting a small meeting from her. After recent events of the Murasame attempting to take me back or kill me, I thought it would be better to deal with it. Perhaps my pride got the better of me during the meeting, but Hiei-san was able to straighten things out a bit. It seems that we have a plan… Tsuchikage-san is going to fight me while I use my metal manipulation skills. Then she'll declare me a part of Iwagakure, in a sense, and we'll be able to stave off the Murasame's attacks on me since they would be opposing the Tsuchikage directly. I think this will work well.
December 2015 Entries
Today I had my match against Maneshi Shemri. Her way of fighting with her partner, Shikaa, was very interesting. Different from Raion-san and Pansa-san who work much like the Inuzuka in that they fight together without combining (from what I've seen). Sherri used her feline partner as a sort of gauntlet, which doesn't make as much sense to me… But it worked very well. I had to struggle to keep up with her, but I was able to block most, if not all of her attacks and came away from the match unscathed. I suppose that I am moving onto the second round with no issue, then.
Today is the day. I'm fighting the Tsuchikage. Naturally, I lost, but I was able to gain some freedom, as well. It was difficult, and I had to hold back… I wonder if I would have won. I wish I had tested that, but I think it would have looked bad. They chose a good woman to lead, though. I look forward and I hope that both Kumogakure and Iwagakure can have better relations in the future. And I also hope that the Murasame clan don't try to go after me again. The danger is there, but I'm sure things will slow down a bit…
Today I 'met' an interesting Genin. I'm not sure who he is, but he had on a strange mask and wasn't inclined to train. Which, I suppose, was evident by the fact that he seemed to be trying to escape one of the instructors of the Academy. She came out and dragged him back to whatever it was they were supposed to be doing. Amusing, though now I am curious who he is.
Entered later
I met the strange genin again. He called himself 'Byouki' and seemed interested in learning medical ninjutsu. I was fine with teaching him something, but I can't help but wonder who he is. Especially since he doesn't take that mask of his off. I was close to seeing such, but he put it back on fairly quickly. I suppose those in Kiri know who he is, though, otherwise there would be quite an… uproar? Well, something would happen, and it'd likely cause a bit of a stir.
Today I fought against Sei-kun. It was an interesting match, even reminding me of back when we first fought each other at the Chuunin exams. I can't say I went all-out, but I also didn't hold back. I think it was only luck that allowed me to win the match, though both myself and Sei-kun were fairly bad off once the match ended. I suppose I won't end up in the hospital for too long, though… Especially since it seems I'll be in the final match. I wonder… I believe in the end I'll be facing off against Shippodoku Keiji-san. Another poison user…

Fire Dodge | C | Defense | Using a burst of fire, the user can get themselves out of the way of an attack! |
Flame Bullet | C | Attack | With some oil (made by chakra), the user can ignite it after sending it enemy-ward. The enemy may get burned by said jutsu. |
Flaming Downpour | C | Attack | The user assaults the enemy with a burst of fire that seems to come from all directions due to the user's movements. |
Fire Dodge II | B | Defense | With a burst of fire, the user can avoid an incoming attack. It is much like its predecessor, Fire Dodge, but with more force so that one can travel farther away. |
Intelligent Hard Work | B | Attack | Intelligent Hard Work is a skill that takes a lot of control over one's chakra. A small flame is created, looking very harmless and innocent. And then once it reaches its target, it explodes in a giant fiery explosion. Basically a big surprise in a small package. |

Metal Clone | C | Attack | Combining fire and earth, the user makes a clone of metal that is much denser and hotter than either of its fire or earth counterparts. |
Metal Dome | B | Defense | Much like the earth dome, the jutsu will create a protective dome that will either wrap entirely around a user or just partially. Due to the fact it's metal, it takes more skill to create and manipulate. |
Metal Spike | B | Attack | A spike of pure metal pierces through any defenses the defender tries to raise, hopefully damaging them to an extreme level. |
Draining Metal Ivy | A | Attack | A single spike is transformed into multiple spikes that seem to grow and extend to stab into an opponent. Once it makes contact with the enemy's body, it brances out to cause massive internal damage. The user, provided they hold the original stem, can drain chakra from their opponent this way. Prior to extending the spike, it is poisoned with whatever toxin the user may have. |
Efficient Metal Barrier | A | Defense | Through the use of armor and/or a very thin sheet of metal, a Murasame can manipulate the strength enough so that the incoming attack is blocked with ease. |
Metal Vault | A | Defense | The Murasame creates thick walls to defend themselves from above, below, and on all sides. The metal can be manipulated such that only one side is there or perhaps one side is made stronger than the other. |
Mastered Metal Barrier | S | Defense | For the Murasame who have mastery over their Kekkei Genkai and wish to conserve energy, this is the ability best-used. With this, previously-forged metal creations can be bent and manipulated with the barest of resources, yet can also block a majority of incoming attacks. |
Metal Stronghold | S | Defense | The Ultimate Defense of any Murasame, this defense creates a safehouse of metal around the user and/or around someone nearby. |
Poison Maiden's Bed | S | Attack | To act as the opponent's resting place, the user establishes a network of metal that will entrap the enemy, piercing them with innumerable spikes laced with poison. |
Poison Metal Netting | S | Attack | The base is a whip, the end result is a net. Cast in poison and in the hands of a high-level Murasame, it is quite deadly for those caught in its sharp barbs… |

Wind Step | C | Defense | An better version of Wind Dash. The user gathers wind chakra to aid in their speed while also creating a sort of windy barrier to help deflect attacks. |

Muscle Relaxation Technique | C | Attack | The user strikes key points in the body to temporarily stun the target. |
Chakra Pinch III | B | Defense | An advanced version of Chakra Pinch. The user's chakra pinches the user, but it also gathers the pain in a single spot and hurts the user continuously until they break off the jutsu. |
Chakra Pinch IV | A | Defense | An advanced version of Chakra Pinch. The user's chakra blocks and reverses their own chakra flow in several places at once, causing immense pain that's enough to dispel most illusions. |
