Kaguya Tsutsuji was born to Kaguya Akiko, and a nameless father. Given that her mother was on the outskirts of the Kaguya family as it was, and that the father was un-named and unknown, Tsu (Tsutsuji) was born of the lowest ranks of her family. Her childhood was shaky, given her lowborn birth, and thus was scorned for a very long time. Yet, in the militaristic village of Kirigakure and the even more militaristic Kaguya Clan, talent speaks higher over how thin one’s blood is. When she displayed, surprisingly, a growing affinity for the abilities of her clan her life changed from being outcast to being almost unpleasantly respected. From the age of ten onwards, she was tutored by individuals skilled in the clan’s technique. Rigorous training, combined with a lingering suspicion, caused Tsutsuji to become alienated from her clan. This alienation lead to a slow and continuing divide between her loyalty to the clan, and her growing loyalty to those whom guided her to the more general arts at the academy. For years before her academy days, she was trained in her family’s art. Her family abandoned all sense of ninjutsu or genjutsu training in favor of pushing her to see how strongly her kekkei genkai would flourish.

She began to purposely diverge her style to the sheer limits of the clan’s acceptance as she worked on making friends in the academy. It came to a point where a certain instructor whom saw her talents in a different light, was severely wounded by a member of her clan whom wished her to only be skilled in her clan’s arts, right in front of her. Though her instructor narrowly survived, he avoided her for the rest of her tutelage at the academy. At this point, she stopped wearing the traditional colors of her clan, and began to wear the colors of the blood her family spilled on her behalf as a reminder to herself of her growing dislike of her clan. She openly resisted the word of her clan, even to the point her mother’s life was threatened due to her insubordination. In the end, however, it was her clan’s training that helped her survive the genin exams. Despite her extreme dislike of her clan, it was her clan’s teaching that gave her success, which bothers her to no end. Tsu has recently graduated from the academy, and while waiting for a proper jonin guide, she has attempted to petition the Kage for housing apart from her clan. Her extreme dislike for those of her own blood has caused a select few individuals inside her very house to wish her dead, which would be a waste of talent that could be used for the good of Kirigakure.

Personality

Tsutsuji has, until recently, expressed herself in a depressing manner. Like that of a whipped dog. She had always been moody and dull, expressing her emotions by being serious all of the time and untrusting with the occasional burst of expression that had gotten her in trouble at the academy many times.

Anymore, however, she has shown herself to be rather vigorously minded, and fun-loving when she is around those she trusts. It as if she was unleashing all of the pent-up emotion she was forced to restrain as a child. This she is easily aggravated, and has been seen to attack people if they insult her. There is still that look of emotionless restraint in her eyes, but be warned, Kaguya blood flows through her veins.

Tsutsuji is a light-skinned female, standing at 5'6". She is clearly a member of the Kaguya clan, bearing two familiar red circles upon her forehead, along with red shading upon the outer sides of her eyes. Her eyes a bright green, with a sharp look about them. Her hair is a ghostly white color, with the part of her hair zig-zagged as part of the usual Kaguya style. Overall, her hair is rather long. Her hair remains untied, save for her extraordinarily long bangs, which fall unhindered until they reach her collar, and are then braided in the normal Kaguya style. She appears to have a calm subdued look. Her clothing diverges from the usual normals of her clan, though appears to provide flexibility for her limited mastery of her clan's kekkei genkai. Aside from durable sandals, tan and unassuming, she wears a blood-red garb consisting of long fingerless gloves and long tabi that reach her upper arms and right above her knees respectively that fade from red to white as they reach the ends of her limbs. Each garment is purposely cut at the knee and elbow. Aside from that, she wears numerous bandages about her legs up to her waist, with a crimson-colored waistcloth of medium length, letting one of her legs move freely. Her torso is covered by a separate light and modest sleeveless shirt colored the same crimson-red as her waistcloth. Standard equipment-holding pouches are lined upon two belts criss-crossed over her waist. Her forehead protector is tied about forehead, right above the symbols of her clan, in red cloth.

I met a girl, younger than I am, today near the cold springs. I was foolish to mistake her as a simple villager. Shirayuki Tsubaki was her name. She was a genin like me, but far younger. I could tell that she was on a different level than I am… She seemed rather cold to me, and I fear we might have been at odds had it not been for the arrival of that Chuunin. Hmm. What was his name? It happened again. On my way to the Boneyard Gardens, I saw that curious genin again. Shirayuki Tsubaki… I was simply going to those gardens to practice my Taijutsu, and perhaps at that Chuunin's advice, practice my handseals. I train at the Gardens to spit on my ancestors, for bringing me into a clan I despise. I grew too comfortable around her presence, and openly showed my disdain for my clan. I can't let my clan know I hate them. I can't let them know I am planning to diverge my dreams away from theirs… The Shirayuki stopped me from killing the flowers that not only represented my ancestors, but also represented the dead of many other people in my village. I was a fool… I wonder if Tsubaki sees me as a fool too. I asked to spar with her sometime, but she seemed hesitant… I only wish the friends I made in the academy did not die during the exams. Then, perhaps, I wouldn't want so desperately to make a friend out of someone so cold.

The training technique I had realized within myself upon the frozen plains, was useless. I learned this today when I came across someone whom claimed to be a merchant. Ayumu was his name? He… brought the worst out of me. Asking about my parents usually does. I write now, still wondering if he could have told me who my father was. Maybe it would have mattered. Maybe I would have been instilled with knowing that I was more than a second-rate Kaguya. He told me I could find him again, by asking any merchant… or even the Mizukage about him. I doubt it. Tomorrow, I'll think of a new way to divert my time away from my clan's art, and find something unique.

Today I learned there was more to me than what my clan put upon me. Tsubaki-sensei Tsubaki-san let me use one of her expensive chakra papers, while we were in the cold springs… It turned wet! I suppose that just makes up for the fact that she took it easy on me for our little spar. I could tell she was holding back.

They killed my mother. I know it to be so. I have no proof, other than the splashes of blood on the walls of my home. What's worse, was that they came for me… Tried to kill me. Hozuki Hyouka saved my life, and I went to the Kage. I wanted to run, I did. Hyouka-sensei said I could flee to our allies, the sand, before they struck again. Meruin-sama showed me a different option. I am a Kaguya, no matter how much I hate myself for being one. Kaguya do not run. We do not hide. We confront our opponents, and slaughter them. If my grandfather somehow comes for me again, I will be ready for him.

For the time being, Meruin-sama has allotted me a place to stay outside of my village until I can properly slide my blade into his throat. I have nothing to prove to my clan. When I kill him, it won't be to restore my honor, but to free myself of the terrible branch of my family I was born into.
