Background

BG1 Kamizuru Kioko was born a mere six years before the winding down of the Clan Wars. She was too young to remember much of the decades of war before, though she would remember a few years of it. Though she didn't really know why, her parents were one of the few pieces of the clans that didn't agree with joining together with those they'd spent years battling over and over. Instead, they chose to leave the Land of Earth and wander. The small piece of the clan Kioko's family was with would travel for a few years in peace, having a fairly easy life with missions broken up as they liked to support themselves. Kioko herself would be trained like any member of the clan, taught to live in harmony with the bees and wasps that her body played host to and work with them as a shinobi team. Without the support and protection of a village, however, this perfect life could only last so long. BG2 After several years on the road, the small section of Kamizuru that Kioko's family traveled with was attacked by rogue shinobi who were working for Kekkei Genkai bounties for labs, an extremely dangerous but high-paying job. Through a long-fought battle, the rogues brought Kioko and several others of the clan back to their clients to collect their bounty. Thus would begin the girl's term of being in a lab that was basically a dungeon. Since she was young, it was felt that Kioko might be more receptive to the experiments the scientists were doing to try to recreate and enhance Kekkei Genkai. With that in mind, they performed them on older members of the clan first. Through the years in the lab in isolation, however, something began to kick in Kioko's DNA, unbeknownst to those who kept her in captivity until it was too late. Under their noses, she slowly mutated internally as if her own DNA were adapting to that of the bees and wasps inside her. This would allow her body parts to change to be more insect like, including growing new ones temporarily, as well as naturally producing things like venom and honey, or even venomous honey. BG3 A few months after the process was done, the lab Kioko was being held in was found by Konohagakure ANBU forces, who then raided the lab to rescue Konoha shinobi he'd been kept inside. Those whose were still basically human were kept alive, while those who were too far gone to not be in agony every day were given mercy killings. Kioko's medical status was reviewed after she was brought to the village, and it was determined she would be able to function again once she had time to heal, and she would also be a lot stronger for the mutation she had undergone. She was the evaluated by a few teams to be certain she was not a spy for Iwagakure, even a sleeper spy, all coming back clean. Finally, she was tested on her shinobi capabilities to check her potential. At that point she was given a choice. She could either have her mind erased by the Yamanaka Clan and go live in Iwagakure with the rest of the Kamizuru or becoming a Leaf Shinobi. Her gratitude to this village for saving her, even incidentally, far outweighed any desire to meet up with members of a clan her own family disagreed enough with to decline joining the village, and thus she would become a Konoha shinobi. A few years down the road, Kioko has become a strong Konoha shinobi. She has striven hard to prove herself and show her gratitude as a strong and loyal shinobi in mission after mission. While not one of their strongest /yet/, she has recently attained the rank of Chuunin. She spends much of her time helping out around the village, other time honing the use of the transformative abilities provided by her mutation. Despite the dark experience she's had, she has remained a happy person who enjoys laughing and smiling and believes happiness to be every bit as important a tool to a shinobi as a jutsu or kunai. She is progressing well in Ninjutsu and Taijutsu, though admittedly she has yet to do any practice with Genjutsu other than variable defense since it was not taught by her clan and she has been extremely focused on her jutsu strengths.

Personality

Though she has experienced some dark times in life, Kioko prides herself on being a happy person. She is laid back yet out-going, always looking for a new adventure and meeting new people. One thing she has been quoted as saying is that she wouldn't let the dark times in her life rule her entire life since she didn't want to end up like other shinobi who let it consume them and wind up thinking the world owes them something. She shows no fear in exploring the world around her, even outside Konoha, though she is quite aware of the dangers it holds. In her opinion it all has a balance of good and bad. You just have to find your place in it.

Appearance

This young woman stands at an average height with black hair, looking to be in her late teens. Her hair is pulled back, a pair of yellow-tinted goggles keeping it fastened in the front so that only her bangs hang down in front of and to the side of her face, about half of them bearing highlighted golden-blonde color. Her eyes, oddly enough, hold no color at all. The irides are just as black as the pupils, perhaps just a mutation or perhaps something to do with her bloodline. Down from her thin neck, the woman wears a sleeveless golden kimono short enough to be a shirt with white trim at its collar, sleeves, and hem. Its neck is widely open, moving in a fairly wide V down to the bottom of her cleavage, where it is secured to her frame by a pair of white belts with black metal buckle that wrap around her waist, one just below her chest and the other just above her hips. A few inches below the latter is another set of belts, these black in color and a few inches wide, wrapped around her hips in a criss-crossing fashion, though attached to the same silver-rimmed black buckle bearing some sort of odd honeycomb-like golden pattern. Each of her hands is covered by a white glove that covers about half her forearm with a fur hem and a golden bar around the knuckles and palm that separates the white from the black covering the fingers and palm. The right arm is covered by a black sleeve tucked into the glove that stops just under her shoulder; the left, only by a black strap that wraps around her bicep three times. The only thing around her shoulders is a pair of ribbons, one orange and one green, each hanging loose around her shoulders and back and tucking around into the front of her kimono from under her shoulders. Finally, where the kimono stops at the top of her thighs, a pair of tight-fitting white pants flow down her legs to tuck into a pair of black tobi-style shinobi sandals.

Relationships

Konoha Name Relationship Notes Daisuke Boss Daisuke is a pretty fresh Hokage, but he seems to be doing a good job thus far as far as Kioko can tell. He's a nice enough guy, strong enough to carry on the work of the previous Kage. He was a bit quick to trade a unique shinobi away for a mail order bride, though! Tsukino Friend Tsukino is a lovely girl, cute, charming, and pretty darn oblivious. Kioko hit it off with the Uzumaki girl rather easily, but she had to point out to her that the situation created by her grandfather and the Senju was most likely a setup for an arranged marriage. Kiri Name Relationship Notes Akane Acquaintance This medic is one of the first people from Kirigakure that Kioko met after a mission to deliver some art that was to be a wedding gift for a daimyo's daughter. She healed Kioko and gave her some good advice to keep her safe in her short time in Kirigakure. Given more time to hang out, Kioko thinks they'd get along, but politics won't allow that. Sei Acquaintance A curious Okumo Chuunin who is mute but communicates with Genjutsu and spiders. He was on the team that came to help on the delivery mission after the cargo ship was attacked by pirates and was quite strong from what could be observed in the chaos. He's at least kind of friendly, but Kioko can't really get to know anyone in Kiri TOO well. Hayase Acquaintance Another member of the team that helped on the delivery mission. Young, but nice and pretty strong for her age! Kumo Name Relationship Notes None Yet! Info Info Suna Name Relationship Notes Tsuchi Acquaintance Tsuchi is rather interesting, her and her obnoxious ferret friend! Kioko didn't get to spend much time with them, as their meeting was only for a mission to exchange some papers, but it was at least nice getting to sit down for tea with her… and maybe flirt just a touch.

1. I met a girl named Tsukino in the treehouse near Konoha Lake. She was nice and really pretty, if a bit oblivious. After some talk, I pointed out the obvious to her that she seemed to have been brought to Konoha to be placed in an arranged marriage. Though it may not have been the most diplomatically smart thing, I explained it to her and gave her the heads up that she should get ahead of the game and try to get to know the man she is to be betrothed to before the hammer drops.

2. Today it came full circle that I warned Tsukino about the arranged marriage bit. I received a summons from the Hokage about an exchange program between Konoha and Uzushiogakure. Since Tsukino would be the one exchanged to Konoha, I would be transferred to her village to take her place and learn to expand on my jutsu abilities under the Uzumaki. While it's kind of a surprise to be sent away since my abilities are rather unique, it is good for the village, so I agreed to go on the exchange.

3. I got sent on what was SUPPOSED to be a simple D-Rank delivery mission today, which turned out to be of much higher difficulty. The cargo ship got surrounded by four pirate ships, and I had to hold off the entire legion on my own until help arrived from Kirigakure. At least they did manage to show up before I got overrun thanks to using my hive along with my other combat abilities. I finally got a break when they showed up, managing to fight my way up to the upper deck of the cargo ship and make some of the pirate cannons backfire to assist in clearing out the enemies ships. All in all, the mission was a success, and I better get paid for the rank it actually was instead of just a D-Rank!

4. After finishing the mission, I went to Kirigakure's medical center. I had to wait a long time to finally get someone with experience to come check on me, but the wait was worth it. Akane was quite good, and she gave me some good advice. After that I followed some rumors and made my way to a hidden hot spring near the village. There I met Kiji again. We had some talk then made a small exchange. For some of her blood with healing properties, I gave her a tin full of honey candy I'd just made. What I got was quite a bit more useful, especially since she plans to give the honey away. The blood should go a long way in helping me learn to use my honey in medical jutsu.

5. Insect Wall Technique or Mushi Kabe no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by clans that utilize Insect Control. After forming the needed handseals, the clan user will command the insects to come out in mass. The bugs will surround the member and fly at a high rate of speed forming a protective wall vortex. The vortex will be strong enough to destroy some incoming attacks, and protect from others. The vortex can be disrupted and the clan members inside rendered vulnerable if sufficient explosive force is expended outside the protective shell.

6. The signature first attack learned by a Kamizuru learning to work with the bees and wasps they control, this attack involves simply having the bees fly after and sting or bite a single target. Due to the breeding of the insects, the venom released from this attack is much more potent than it is in a normal insect, causing a lasting damaging infect from the stronger poison entering the target's veins and muscles.

7. This dodge technique uses focused Chakra to add a burst of speed.

8. Chakra Physical is a basic Chakra Taijutsu technique that involves enhancing the force behind a physical attack by focusing Chakra into the striking appendage or bodypart. The exact nature of the Taijutsu attack that is being enhanced is not very restricted. It can be a punch, a kick, a knee, an elbow, a headbutt, a shoulder ram, or any number of other basic hand-to-hand maneuvers. It should be noted, however, that Chakra Physical is NOT 'hitting someone with Chakra'. The Chakra is ENHANCING a NORMAL Taijutsu attack. Making physical contact with the enemy IS required to do damage.

9. The initial use of the Kamizuru's ability to produce venom like the insects its controls this attack can be delivered in a couple of different ways. First it can be delivered by a simple bite to the target to inject the venom into the target's bloodstream. For a target at a bit further range it can be spewed from the mouth in the form of poisonous honey that sticks to the target's skin and clothes to place the poison and allow it to seep through their pores.

10. The second level the user of the mutated Kamizuru's ability to produce venom like the insects it controls the user is now able to produce more venom and honey with a much more potent concentration of the venom. At this level it takes a moment to produce venom this volatile giving up a bit of speed in the attack to make its effect more damaging. As with before it can be delivered by bite or spew of honey as well as with stingers formed by transformation.

11. Taking advantage of the mutated Kamizuru's ability to produce honey from their mouth the user spews a stream of honey at the target that sticks to them and crystallizes on impact following attempts to dodge with a simple turn of the head. The honey covers a good portion of the target's body holding them still to open them up for a follow-up attack.

12. An improvement on the Chakra Dodge technique, this Taijutsu is easily the equivalent of the Body Flicker Technique.

13. This transformation is the specific control and focus of the insect user who has a hive mind mentality with their insects. Due to this special sort of connection between ninja and insects, when more chakra is applied to the connection between them, it results in this stronger and faster response of the insects to the directives of the shinobi.

14. The first level of the transformative abilities of the user of the mutated Kamizuru using the Hunter Bee Taijutsu Style this technique allows them to begin to transform their body to be more insect-like. Their eyes turn completely black body growing a bit in muscle accompanied by the appearance of fangs and elongated nails and the new ability to seep honey from pores of the skin.

15. The second level of the transformative abilities of the mutated Kamizuru using the Hunter Bee Taijutsu Style this technique begins to show more drastic changes in the body of the user. A pair of antennae sprout from their head along with the appearance of a trio of eyes just under the hairline. The more noticable effects however are the larger ones namely the growth of a extra appendages that the user did not bear before an extra set of arms just below the normal set though even the new ones are mostly human in appearance still a set of small bee wings not quite large enough for advanced flight at this level and finally a bee's abdomen attached to their back complete with a stinger that would be considered small in proportion at this level the stinger reaching only down to a few inches above the back of the knees.

16. A combination of the Hunter Bee Morph and Hive Mind transformations, this alteration allows the mutated Kamizuru to maintain her physically transformed state while also further opening her mental connection with the insects under her control. The physical changes are the same as with Hunter Bee Morph, except she grows a bit taller and the insect abdomen attached to her rear side is bit longer.
