God of Black Earth |

This young man is a just a bit over average height, roughly 5'8", his body slender, though having some semblance of being in shape. His hair is black, brushed mostly toward one side on the top, though rather unkempt as it falls down to his shoulders. His face has the oval shape of maturing in age, though retaining a look of youth. His eyebrows are thin, though not girlishly so, and slant down inwardly, eyes a light hazel, helping to give his face a rather handsome, brooding look. However, his skin is rather pale, the young man having growth from the days of his meekness to hold a rather dark demeanor, seeming to be calculative at all times with a dark gaze set on the future.
The black vest he wears over his body is almost flak jacket-like in nature, but with a high collar and short sleeves, zipped all the way up to his collar. His legs are covered by a pair of black pants, which are tucked down into his boots. His clothing holds no pouches for kunai or anything of the like, at least not to the naked eye.

Councilman | With the change in personality has come a change in how Yuuto views even the Council of Sunagakure. While Kuoroke is no less malevolent than ever, Yuuto no longer holds fear for the man, only a healthy respect with the knowledge of what he is capable of. They may never be friends, but Yuuto feels he is closer to becoming equal or one day surpassing this man. | |
Councilwoman | Much like Kuoroke, Yuuto has a respect for Itami both in her position and her strength as a shinobi. She tested his ability once since his leaving Sunagakure, though he has grown much since then and hopes to test his mettle against her once again soon. | |
![]() |
Oni-Hime | Katama is Yuuto's most faithful companion and his lover. She's stuck by him even when it seemed the life he leads was turning him into something far darker than she might hope to have in someone she is so close to. Yuuto is eternally grateful to her for her loyalty and would protect her with his life. |
Comrade | One of the first and most powerful members of the Akatsuki, Hyuga Touma has earned Yuuto's respect with his combat prowess and ability. He is charismatic, if rather annoying, but he is at least amusing and provides some sort of light side to the group compared to the darkness of Yuuto. It is Yuuto's belief that Touma and his Yakuza will be instrumental to the taking over of Amegakure, as the Akatsuki's help will be instrumental to assisting them in taking back control of Fuuma Alley. | |

Comrade | Admittedly, Yuuto and Soubi have yet to spend a great amount of time getting to know each other, but he knows she is powerful and determined. As with Touma, he believes her power will be of great use in the taking over of Amegakure as well as through the future. |

Superior | Perhaps one of the scarier people Yuuto has to look out for. Kuoroke isn't exactly known for his kindness, generally a very stoic man. He does what's best for the village at all times, which could very well one day to end Yuuto's life because he caused too much trouble. Even though Yuuto has been performing missions under his orders and receiving assistance from him, he is wise enough to not get comfortable around this Councilman. | |
Superior | The more sympathetic of the Council Members, Itami seems to be fairly kind in what little Yuuto has dealt with her. She was kind enough to get him out of a rather tight spot with Nao, Jun, and Chitose staring at one of his artworks and somewhat finding out that he's not exactly all there. She's also accompanied Yuuto on a mission or two, the most interesting to date being one where they went after an escapee of the asylum. | |
Patrolman | This guy followed Yuuto around for a bit after he saw him buying masks. He is apparently some kind of sensor since he figured out that Yuuto's not just a normal villager before he ever revealed any jutsu capability. Kind of annoying, and the guy's really hard to shake in a chase. He was a lot of help on a mission where Yuuto and Itami had to go after an asylum escapee, though. | |
Acquaintances | The overly curious twins. One of them and Chitose sort of cornered him into having to show a piece that he was drawing at a restaurant of something that… probably wasn't really there. They're nice enough, just perhaps a bit over excited in their curiosity about things. | |
Ally | Another curious girl. Not quite as overbearing as the twins, but this one DID help one of them in uncovering the piece he was drawing. At least Itami was able to draw their attention to food and rescue him. | |
The Big Boss | Though he knows of the Kazekage, Yuuto hasn't really spoken to him much. He was willing to follow him in his time as a shinobi, so his ideals may be in the right place, though all of that is currently in a large jumble to Yuuto. |

"And at the end of fear… Oblivion."

Since awakening his Sharingan, especially Mangekyou, Yuuto's personality has undergone a massive change. The awkward, sometimes timid young man, who seemed like the things he had experienced in life had shattered him, is gone and has been replaced by a true Uchiha. His disposition is cold and calculative, the things that used to frighten or torture him now merely pieces of the puzzle, more ammunition in his arsenal to use against his enemies. He's even begun studying the science behind what Scarecrow used to break his mind, something he will master to use against him in return. |
---|
Yuuto has multiple personality disorder, so he has more than one, depending on the day, though he does have one main personality. When his normal himself, Yuuto is a fairly polite young man and even a bit timid due to not wanting to reveal to others how off-balance his mind really is. In all reality, he is in a lot of pain normal due to the hallucinations and such that constantly remind him of his past, but he tends to cover it up with pranks and other attempts at humor. This tends to wind him up in a lot of trouble, even sometimes jail, but it at least is some kind of coping mechanism for him. In the past, it is said he was a very talented and determined shinobi, but he is a mere broken shell of who he once was now. |

NOTE: ALL INFORMATION IN THIS BACKGROUND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED CLASSIFIED AND ONLY KNOWN TO THE KAZEKAGE AND SUNAGAKURE COUNCIL MEMBERS
The Land of Wind is known for producing many types of shinobi, geniuses, stealth experts, amazing puppet jutsu users, formidable Kekkei Genkai, men of honor and courage, as well as monsters and maniacs. From the beginning of his life, the boy who would be known as Yuuto seems to have been haunted by a man of the latter two types, a genius in his own right, but a man who selfishly toyed with the lives of other for his own personal gain of power. He was known for his cruelty, having no mercy in putting his subjects through whatever torture necessary in the name of his research. One of his most torturous methods of breaking them that was well-known was a gas chamber that caused hallucinations that were on par with high level Genjutsu for hours or even days on end.
Yuuto was only about six months old when he first came into contact with the man who calls himself the Scarecrow. A small group of Uchiha who had been living out on their own had decided it was time for them to join up with the larger group of people following Madara at the time. Among that group were Yuuto's parents, Uchiha Hama and Ayane. The group was traveling from the far western corner of the Land of Fire when they were attacked by the Scarecrow's henchmen. While there were a couple Sharingan users among them, their numbers weren't enough to overcome the force of the maniacal man's crew. They were quickly being overtaken, and it became apparent that their aim was to take the children from the group to use their bloodline in the Scarecrow's experiments.
It was during this onslaught, however, that forces form the Land of Wind caught up to the gang. Because of them, a few of the parents were able to escape with their children, though many didn't escape the raging battle alive. Finally, the gang was forced to flee, but not before both Hama and Ayane were both killed. In her dying words, Ayane told the men from the Land of Wind what the boy's name was. Rather than catch up to the Uchiha who'd fled to take him to them, the Land of Wind saw an opportunity to gain something unique, a Sharingan user among their forces. And so the child would be taken to the Land of Wind to be adopted by a couple their and raised as on of their own.
In the Land of Wind, Yuuto would be adopted by Kawaguchi Souta and Nanami. They happily adopted him to raise as their own child to benefit the Land of Wind, a nice plus for them since Nanami was unable to have children of her own. Once he was old enough that they felt he could handle it, they were even honest about the fact that he was adopted, though they apparently knew very little about his real parents, all things considered.
This also marked the time that Souta felt it was time for Yuuto to begin training as a shinobi. He baptized him into the world of training early in hopes to raise him up to be a fine warrior. Being an Uchiha, once the basics were covered, he taught him fire jutsu, which came pretty naturally. The boy also had other apparent talents, a chakra paper test revealing that he had a second affinity in Wind. He would be taught to utilize this own his own through hand seals as well as through a shinobi tool such as a fan or a blade of chakra metal. These skills would be the basis of how the boy would be trained up.
At the forming of the Hidden Villages, Yuuto's parents joined Sunagakure, a wise move, all things considered. Yuuto's potential abilities would be very useful to Sunagakure and did not need to be revealed to or fall into enemy hands. His origins would be known only to Sousa and Council Members for this reason. He would grow up from then on to learn to love the village and become one of its faithful shinobi, starting as a Genin after the testing of his abilities. His training and missions would proceed on like any normal shinobi for a few years, and finally he would reach an important pinnacle, Chuunin-hood, and the time came for him to lead missions as a captain under a Jounin. He hadn't obtained Sharingan, but he was definitely growing as a shinobi.
Yuuto was rather excited to lead his first mission as a Chuunin. To top it off, his mother would be one of the shinobi working under him for this one, so he would get to tell HER what to do for once. Of course, he knew not to push his luck, but it was an amusing thought, nonetheless. It was a relatively simple mission, really, a search and recovery mission for a caravan that had been halted in the desert whose owner sent in the request so his goods wouldn't spoil with his men out in the desert. They set out in the afternoon and took off at a steady pace on the path the caravan should have been taking to try to make it quickly enough that nothing would be lost.
The squad finally found the caravan just as the sun was setting, leaned down on one side with a broken wheel. Things seemed fairly normal until the caravan workers who were waving them down were struck in the back of their necks by kunai and shuriken and fell dead to the ground. In a matter of moments, dozens of the Scarecrow's men came over the dunes at the shinobi squad to attack. A battle raged on between them for hours with both sides losing men gradually. Yuuto was horrified at this, and the stories of how he came to Sunagakure rang through his mind, how this man had killed the family he'd never met. In the final moments of the struggle, he saw this same man strike his mother down just before he was hit by a gas that knocked him out to be drug away to the Scarecrow's hideout.
Yuuto woke up in a small cell by himself, still dazed from the gas that had knocked him out. He pinched himself a few times to try to wake himself up, hoping that somehow this had all just been a bad dream, but to no avail. It was all real. His squad mates, his mother, they'd really been killed right in front of his eyes, and he wasn't strong enough to stop it. It was then that he saw Scarecrow right in front of his cell, staring him down a laughing at his attempts to get up, as the boy discovered his was bound with chains that prevented him from casting jutsu by draining any excess chakra that he would try to gather for any kind of attack. Though he tried to argue, the man insisted to him that he belonged there and would not be leaving for a long time, if ever. He would now be subject to experiments for the Scarecrow in his efforts to gain power, and his eyes would be taken from him the day he obtained Sharingan, were it to ever happen.
Yuuto struggled quite a bit, trying his best to break the bonds that held him to try to get to Scarecrow and to try to get out of this place. He even began to try to make friends with the other prisoners, hoping they could formulate a plot together to escape. When they actually attempted it, repercussions came back severely. Those he tried to escape with were put through even harsher experiments, and very few of them made it through them alive. It was the torture all over again, and Yuuto could feel his spirit being crushed as he heard the screams of his friends as the were put through such torturous treatment and extinguished. His own punishment, however, was something one might consider even more severe. Once most of those he'd made alliances with had died, he was moved into a different chamber, where he would receive the Scarecrow's signature cruel punishment. The gas began, and he began living in a never-ending nightmare. He began to live through all the deaths of those close to him over and over again, and it would get worse each time. This progressed into hellish hallucinations of every possible nightmare that coursed through his mind. For a few weeks, he stayed in this place, and it got to the point he couldn't tell when he was asleep or awake because he lived in nightmarish hallucinations the entire time. It even got to the point he would actually try to Genjutsu himself to drive the visions away, but it only seemed to get worse, slowly and methodically breaking his will and his mind.
Once the Scarecrow was satisfied that Yuuto's spirit was broken, he put him back in his regular cell to begin his experiments again. Every time he acted up, and sometimes even when he didn't, Yuuto would be placed back in the chamber to live in his own personal nightmare world for a few hours. His mind would grow more twisted by the day, and, as the walls of his mind were tore down more and more, he began to hear the voices of broken parts of him and what seemed like others. Sometimes they would be like his friends or family urging him to get out of this place, other times the creatures from his nightmares warring in his mind and tempting him to slaughter those who imprisoned him as well as the other prisoners. The line between fantasy and hallucination grew very thin, and it got to the point where these voices even become alternate personalities that would take him over from time to time. It seemed he was in a cycle of darkness that would never cease, only get worse and worse.
Yuuto remained in the underground lab of the Scarecrow for what seemed an eternity to him, though it was roughly about four years. Finally, the light broke in the darkness, and Black Ops shinobi from Sunagakure burst through the entrance to the hideout with weapons and jutsu blazing. The prisoners were finally to be freed, as the Scarecrow's men at this base were captured or killed if they refused to be taken alive. The shinobi from Sunagakure found their long-captured comrade there, but as a shell of himself. His mind and body had been abused that he was very sickly, the state his mind was in something no quick measures would be able to fix. He would be taken home to be diagnosed but marked as too mentally incompetent to resume his duties as a shinobi at this point, even if his body were to recover.
Since his return to Sunagakure, Yuuto has been kept under watch for both his mental state and to figure out what all the Scarecrow did to him in his experiments. The observable additions to his skill set thus far have been Genjutsu that are nothing short of ghastly and nightmarish and use of Ink Manipulation. This is a somewhat more disturbing feature he's developed that was seen in a study when his psychiatrist asked him to draw what he was seeing, as the young man now can apparently draw his nightmares and make them pop off the page.
Though these are promising jutsu skills, at this point, Yuuto is mainly seen as one of the village's greater disappointments, as he was taken from being one of their hopes for a secret weapon to being nothing more than a fragile shell of his former self, which some see as merely a ticking time bomb. Still, some hold hope for him, though he is kept under constant watch, and for good reason. Every so often, his mental issues will overwhelm he'll get into trouble, though the ANBU are able to stop him and simply throw him in a cell over night until he's able to be calmed, perhaps even sedating him to do so. What will become of him is very questionable, but, at this point, he is a very moldable clay, one that could overcome his troubles and become a beacon of light or give into his darkness and become a messenger of darkness. The route he will take is yet to be determined and will be written by none other than life and circumstance.

At long last, I've been rescued by my village… I think. In reality, I'm hoping this isn't just some hallucination or dream, but I think it's real since it's been going on for a while and not ended. Scarecrow was captured, and I think most of his men that were at the hideout died fighting. I haven't really been given many details. I'm being kept in some kind of hospital or something for now. It's not pleasant, but at least it's better than than cell… I'm not even sure how old I am now. It seemed like an eternity that I was locked away. Some of the faces I've seen look familiar somehow, but I can't seem to place many of them. It's as if my entire existence was ripped out from under me. |
I've finally been let out of the hospital after months of being evaluated by Medical Ninja. They deemed me unfit to be a shinobi because of my mental state. I can't really blame them since I'm not even really sure how much of this is real or fake. At least I can move around now and not be held captive. Of course, I've got a lot of rules on me like not being able to go on any missions or even buy weapons, but it's better than being stuck in a cell or hospital room all the time. I'd rather rip the place apart myself than be held in captivity any longer, so I'm glad they're at least giving me some freedom. |
I was sitting at a restaurant drawing tonight, really minding my own business, but a group of woman decided that a table right beside mine was a good spot. Things went normal until a couple of them decided they wanted to see what I was doing. One was in front of me, and one walked behind me, so there was nothing I could do. I even accidentally blurted out that what I was trying was right in front of me… I wish it was, that they weren't really dead, even if it meant those creatures were real too. This makes it so hard… I want to really wake up one day, but I know that they'll be gone once I do. Why can't I still have both? Scarecrow WILL pay for that one day. |
I snuck backstage to a play at the Motai Theater today. It was interesting at first, but it grew cliche and boring toward the end, so I decided to interject for the sake of the crowd not falling asleep. Unfortunately, I didn't notice that Kuoroke was in the crowd before I did this. After I made my grand entrance and exit of the stage, the Council Member chased me out the door, through an alley, and across rooftops before I saw… him. That bastard Scarecrow. I know it wasn't really him, but I attacked anyway. Kuoroke took out two of my lions then went back to whoever he was entertaining that night. Guess I got lucky, but I'm sure I won't get away with it. Having Kuoroke plotting punishment behind my back… Somehow, that's a disturbing thought. |
November
My antics got me into a bit of trouble, enough that the guards decided to give me a bit of a private tour of the prison. What they didn't expect to happen, whether it was from poor timing or some oversight, was my encountering Scarecrow being moved from one place to another within the prison during this tour. I took my opportunity and attacked him with one of the guards' kunai and managed to get in a slice on his face, only to make his mask fall off and find out something that would change my life forever. Souta… My father… He was Scarecrow the entire time. He had raised me within this village, allowed me to be groomed to be a shinobi under his eye while no one knew who he was, all to kill his wife and anyone else in the way on that mission and finally complete his mission of taking me from the village to his lab after thirteen years. I was pushed over the edge as I attacked him, and then it happened. I felt a new power through my rage, the awakening of the power both Scarecrow and Sunagakure had been awakened… The things he did… I may not be able to usurp the prison and take him out yet, but I will have the strength one day, and that will be the day he pays for his crimes. |
Though it was perhaps a bit of an extreme first test of whether I'm ready to become a shinobi again, I was given an opportunity to prove myself in a mission to rescue a small town from an escapee of a local asylum alongside Suterusu. This guy's abilities were similar to mine in a way, just using chalk instead of ink to bring art to life. He was completely out of touch with reality, though. In his mind, he was a king and all the people of the town were his subjects and his army, disposable at the drop of a hat. Maybe it was the hallucinations combined with his actions. Maybe it was that I relived the deaths of my loved ones in the moment I saw him kill that girl and make her body keep moving. Whatever it was, it pushed me to the next level. I can see on a whole new level now. With my new prowess, I gave that bastard what was coming to him and made his abilities my own. |
My being sent after the psychopaths that escape from the asylum seems to be becoming something of a tradition. Perhaps my insight into how a troubled mind works gives me a certain edge that they as beneficial alongside my Sharingan in these sorts of situations. Tracking this man down wasn't particularly difficult since there was a line down the street to try his dishes that people didn't know were made of their missing fellow villagers. When Itami and I made it into his locker, what we saw was absolutely despicable. He had living people hanging from hooks, keeping them alive in a tortured state to make sure their meat would be fresh when he got ready to serve it. I used my Sharingan to find our way to his escape hatch and start picking it apart, which was convenient since he was trying to come through it from the opposite side. As we fought him, I studied his abilities with a butcher knife, a quite skilled Kenjutsu art really. It was then I decided I would take that bit of him for my own…. No, all of them. These monsters who have no ability to control the gifts they have and turn them on others in such deplorable ways. They will all be put down and made a part of me. Their talents need not be wasted on their useless states any longer… And so I put him down, the second of my kind I have 'absorbed' in a way with his death. More will come. I will find a way. Their powers will be my own, and I will use them to make Scarecrow regret ever creating this monster. |
I was sent on a mission to track down a merchant that had been missing. It took some time to track him down, but I finally found him in a crevasse with a strange young man whose life came from a stream of chakra under the earth casting some kind of jutsu on him. After binding him down, I sent a message to Kuoroke in the village to let him know what was going on. I then made a decision to at least try to save the merchant since he would be the only witness able to provide a statement in a location language. While it killed the perpetrator in separating him from his chakra source, it at least gave the merchant a chance to live through the experience. I then later requested a meeting with the Councilman who sent me on this mission to request an evaluation and see how close I am to becoming a shinobi again. |
