Konomi is a newly-promoted Chuunin Puppeteer. She was made a Genin simply due to the immediate need for such following the Siege of Sunagakure (IC Year: Year 3, Post-Village Formation. OOC Year: 2010), though she had not yet graduated from Sunagakure's Ninja Academy. She has since been thrown into mission after mission and received advanced training to 'catch her up' to where those she is meant to replace were before their deaths. Like many other youths who received this 'fast-track' to military advancement, though she has managed to make it to Chuunin this is not entirely just due to her performance or excellence in the field. Konomi is definitely competent enough and possesses the qualities desired of a Chuunin in general, but she is still lacking in experience, so she was promoted primarily due to a need for 'middle-management' types/specialists in certain areas/etc. that Chuunin typically fill.
