Personality

Sayaka is very analytical of things. In some ways, she's a bit of a perfectionist. The one held highest in her mind is her older brother, Ippei. He seems to be able to do no wrong, and she aspires to someday make her parents as proud of her (and as trusting) as they are of him. Stranger make Sayaka a bit wary, but she doesn't seem totally against them. They are something new in the world that seems to remain very static thanks to a special barrier that her parents monitor to make sure nothing dangerous comes in.

Appearance

A young girl stands before you at a simple height of 4'3". She is quite young, and she seems to be very quiet. Her eyes, violet in color, tend to be downcast and distant, never quite focused on one thing in particular. The young girl's black hair is kept held back in a loose ponytail, and her complexion looks as if she rarely sees the sun.

Her garments are made of simple stock, the girl wearing clothing best made for farming and hard work. She has on some long pants for the winter to keep warm, the pants rather baggy and likely second hand. Her top is similar, a dull brown in color and quite baggy. Hopefully the shirt beneath it fits her.

Unknown	Ikuro's Father	Ikuro's View - My father has always done what's best for my family. I am very proud of him and his work, and I hope to follow in his footsteps. I'm sure he's keeping an eye on me even as I write this. Of course, my family doesn't realize how I truly feel. They believe I think he's the biggest nuisance in the world. Hideaki's View - I've never met Ikuro's father, but from what I hear, we would not get along well. Constant fighting would, however, be a bit more exciting than the boring farm life we lead. Maybe someday I'll meet him for some exercise.
Unknown	Ikuro's Mother	Ikuro's View - My mother; a proud woman. I don't understand why she was considering she had married into the family, but she did have some excellent traits. Perhaps that is why my father chose her… I love her, but sometimes she is a bit much. Maybe it is because we can be complete opposites when it comes to our core. Naturally, my family believes I think she is annoying as well. Hideaki's View - Ikuro's family is very mysterious, but she at least reveals some snippets. The ones I hear most about her mother was that her mother was very demanding of some of the silliest things like manners. They must have stuck to Ikuro, since she has impeccable ones, but still, I see my wife's point.

Hyuuga Yasuo	Stranger	Hideaki's View - A strange fellow in a skull mask naturally brings suspicion. The oddest part is how quickly he seemed to grasp everything. It was only revealed that this 'Akumu' fellow happened to have the Byakugan when he began to eat the food his companion had caught them. A good deer. He said he was chasing after… Some people. When it was clear he didn't mean me, I felt I could relax a bit more. He seems to only be passing through, so I'll leave him alone for now. Ippei's View - Che, an annoying stranger… One far too suspicious. I can't believe Father let them so close to the house. Of course, the old man didn't want to strike. He's too gutless. I bet he'd just say he didn't strike so he could protect us, but wouldn't killing them be better? I had to go off on my own for a bit to cool down, and then this guy picked up and walked away before I could gauge him better. Oh well.
Inuzuka Totoro	Stranger	Hideaki's View - A woman who is, while vicious and obviously rougher than most, probably very straightforward. She certainly didn't seem like she was deceiving us, though that could be the ruse. Interestingly, she was feral… I'm guessing she is an Inuzuka, or perhaps a Kemonoken. Both have been known for picking up the traits of the beasts they are most closest to. I determined that she held little threat compared to her companion. If it came to a fight, Ippei could handle her. Ippei's View - The annoyance's companion. I don't know what to think of her, except that she grated on me. Very irritating. Less cocky than Akumu, if that's even his name, but so rough around the edges that one can't even tell if there's a diamond in there. I guess she's not really worth the time… Oddly, she smelled a bit like a dog. Weird… I can't tell why, though. Maybe Father knows.
Yuma Kaito	Acquaintance	A tea-seller that was invited into their family's home, if only because Sayaka wished it so. Kaito was, thankfully, helpful around the home and good with the children. That being said, if he had tried to harm Sayaka or Ippei in any way, he would have found himself in very deep trouble…

+ Show Entry #009: Familial Consideration

When Akane-san entered my life, she said that I could take on the Doihara name. It was my choice. I thought about it for a long time. Maybe longer than I should, but it's a big decision, isn't it? Changing my name… I don't know if I should or not. I need to think about it more. So far, though, I like my 'new family'. They are … very strange, though. Ishino-sama is always busy, and he disappeared for a little bit, even. Kitaru-san is always working on Academy things. I sort of wish I could join… And then Kit-san just spends her time studying things that catch her interest. Sometimes I play with the new twins. And sometimes I spend time with Tsubaki-san and Kit-san. Occasionally I explore the village. I'm almost able to get to the edge of the market area now. Once I read there, I think I'll make a decision.

I finally decided to become a Doihara. In a sense. I wanted to keep my last name, so I asked if I could just have it be 'Kurogane-Doihara'. Akane-san said that it was okay, so now I am a part of the family in name. I guess by blood, too, since Akane-san is my aunt. And now sort of my mother. It's still a bit strange to me, but I think I'm getting used to how things works nowadays. There are certain things people expect from the Doihara, which is making this a bit difficult. But I think it'll be okay.

Today I was making my way beyond the Market area and towards the gardens. I found Hibiki-san, and he was talking to this one woman… Who looked a lot like Akane-san. It was very surprising to see, but she said that she wasn't Akane-san. Her name is 'Iga Sachiko', and she apparently isn't related to me. But she looks very familiar… She seemed to know Akane-san, at least. So she must not be so bad. A lot of people know Akane-san, though. But Sachiko-san seemed to know a bit more. Or feel more familiar.

+ Show Entry #012: Lessons Learned

Today I was reviewing my workbook, and I managed to get through the section on shinobi history all correct after I was done. I'm sure that more of it will show up in the future so that I don't forget it. I wonder how strange it is that I didn't know anything about it… It's a bit weird, though… The Villages are such a big part of things. But the Land of Iron tries to keep their presence out, so I suppose not-knowing was probably the easiest. It would make sense if Otou-san and Okaa-san didn't want anything to do with the Shinobi world, too. But that brings up … 'Why?'

+ Show Entry #001: The Winter Life

Today I spent some time outside. Onii-chan and I built a snowman, but it took a while. It's hard to build a snowman when it's cold, but I guess then there wouldn't be any snow if it it was warmer… I had some of my spiders help me find the rocks for the eyes and mouth, though, and onii-chan and I were able to finish. I'm really glad that it turned out ok. It's not perfect, but I think our next one will be a lot better. I just need to wait for more snow to fall…

+ Show Entry #002: The Odd Thaw

Today's weather was slightly warmer. Warm enough to make a lot of fog and mist so that it was harder to see. I sent my spiders out to scout every now and then just in case I fell over a rock. The snowman Onii-chan and I made melted in the weird warmth, so I guess we definitely have to build a new one when it snows next time. Since all the snow melted, Otou-san thought that it would be a good idea for all of us to check on the fields. The was really squishy and not fun to walk through, and I took a bath right after. I think I also held everyone back a lot, and Otou-san didn't like that and scolded me every now and then. Onii-chan sort of helped encourage me, though, so it wasn't all bad. I'll do better next time.

Today, Onii-chan and I were out in the snow when someone new approached. Onii-chan was a bit grumpy at him. He said his name was 'Kaito'. He sells tea, and all his teas smell really nice. I was a bit suspicious of him at first too, since I didn't know him, but I like his teas. He even gave me and Onii-chan a free sample. I invited him to stay for a bit because I heard there would be a bit of a snowstorm soon. I was glad that he accepted. Okaa-san and Otou-san didn't seem to mind him much either. I'm excited to meet someone new!

+ Show Entry #004: Strangers in the Distance

Otou-san came back today after going out to survey the fields with Onii-chan. I spent the day with Kaito-san, mostly. But then tonight at dinner, he said that there were two people that were just passing by, and he said I should watch out for them and not go near them, just in case. I wish I could have met them so I could ask questions, but I guess not… Maybe if they ever pass by again. After all, Kaito-san is here, so that means that Otou-san is okay with letting me meet people. We probably just never had any visitors up until now.

From Ankoku's Journals - Akumu (OOC Note: Yasuo) and Totoro. Unique individuals, one a Hyuuga and one either a Kemonoken, a Kirryu, or an Inuzuka. It's difficult to tell, but there were definitely feral qualities in the latter. Amusingly enough, they seem to enjoy toying with their names. Death waits for no man, and it seems Death is now chasing someone who has overstayed their welcome on this lovely earth. I hope that Death does not come for me as viciously as these two are trailing after their own target.

+ Show Entry #005: The Fabric's Tear

Today was nicer out than most days. All of us were out in the fields. Otou-san and Onii-chan were making sure everything was looking alright. Okaa-san was with me watching them. But then Otou-san and Onii-chan came back towards us, and this strange woman showed up. She had red hair tied in a braid and a green eye. I wonder if her other eye is also green… It was covered up…

Onii-chan took me away from it all, though. The woman had news, I guess… I wonder what she said… I don't think I saw her again afterwards, though. Onii-chan and I were just in the house, and then I got a headache. Onii-chan said I should go lie down while he went out to investigate, so I went to my room. The headache went away after a bit, but for some reason I was really scared. A few of my spiders said there was danger, so I hid under my bed, but then something dragged me out from underneath.

Everything got really confusing afterwards… The person was someone in a wolf mask. And then they had Okaa-san… And then Okaa-san was dead from their lightning-hand going through her… I was stuck to a chair for a bit, and a lot of it is sorta fuzzy in my mind.

After a bit, though, someone else showed up. Someone new… She was nice. She said her name is 'Akane', and she made me grab some things before we left my house. I guess everyone else is… …. gone, too… Akane-san said that she was my aunt, so I suppose I'll go with her for now. I wonder what happened to the wolf-mask person… I hope they get caught…

+ Show Entry #006: On the Move

I went with Akane-san, but I'm not really sure where we're heading… Slowly, we made our way towards the south and east. I think it was more east than south. We met up with someone … He had a very large machine with him. It was a bit scary, but also interesting. He controls the thing; a 'puppet'. He's Akane-san's husband, actually. 'Doihara Ishino'. He dresses oddly… I got to go with them, and my destination is finally known: Kirigakure. We rode HARPS (that's the machine) to get to it, which was interesting. Exciting… I wonder what's in store for me next, now…

+ Show Entry #007: Holes in Knowledge

I got back to Akane-san's home. She… has a lot of children. Kit-san is the eldest. Then me, Kitaru-san, Tsubaki-san, and then some newborns. Kit-san and I were given workbooks to do. I suppose… it sort of showed just how much I knew and didn't know. I can figure out a lot of the basic sciences and maths off the top of my head. But I didn't know much on any clans, nor did I know about the Hidden Villages or any current events. I'm working on studying all that now, though, at least. Hopefully I'm not too far behind… Kit-san is working on some advanced medical stuff, from what I noticed… She's also very quiet. She doesn't speak at all. I wonder why…

I guess I should also note I have no real knowledge of fighting styles. There are three types: physical, mental, and … I suppose 'magical'. Chakra is used to fight a lot. It's one of the most common ways to fight, even. Really, everyone seems to know how it works… I feel a bit far behind.

+ Show Entry #008: The Shadow's Visit

Thus far in Kirigakure, I have met two individuals from outside the walls of the Doihara family's home. One: Shimizu Ren. He's a bit older than me. A student, I think. He was nice enough, too. A few bullies came over and started making fun of me, but Akane-san made them go away. I think Ren-kun would have done that as well, but he was slower than she was.

The second was a former Leader of Kirigakure. Okumo Meruin. He asked me what I was doing here, and I told him. Briefly. Then I had to elaborate. I'm not sure if that was the most interesting thing to note, though. Kit-san held one of his brood, and I suppose it hurt her. She was quick to act, and it made all of my own senses go on alert. Whatever she had in the vial, it was dangerous… It makes me a bit scared of her. I knew she was advanced, but… If she made something that 'we' felt as terrifying as soon as 'we' saw it… Everything turned out fine, but I think.. I will keep an eye on Kit-san.
