Background

+ Reveal: Growing Up

Kameko was born on to a band of Kuroki travelers who resided in Suna. She never really knew exactly who her parents were, because they all acted so much like her family. It takes a village to raise a child, and that was what Kameko got. She never minded not having a structured life though, in fact she really enjoyed it, every day held something new for her to see or learn. Growing up she got to hear the stories of how the Kuroki used to travel all over the lands, entertaining people wherever they went. When she was a child, around five years old, she was tattooed with her teaching tattoos. She spent the next several years learning how to properly manipulate and control her techniques with the aid of her family.

+ Reveal: Academy Days

Kameko joined the ninja academy when she was nine years old, she was enrolled earlier than most because of the natural skill she displayed with her abilities. Unfortunately though learning more about being a shinobi led her away from some of the artistic influences that their family had. Still somehow she managed to maintain the merry and carefree outlook that so many of them held. Growing up she found that she needed to add onto her tattoos to better serve her family. On her back she had a large outline of a shining sun placed, and two crescent moons placed on each of her wrists. From these she was able to draw out her chakram, the one from her back being much larger than the ones on her wrists. Through her training at the academy she also found she had an affinity for lightning, and decided that she would one day try to combine the elemental chakra with her tattoos. She never really had a knack for genjutsu, in fact she was awful at it.

+ Reveal: Time as a Genin to Now

She managed to graduate from the academy when she was eleven and was not assigned to a team. Instead she stayed with her family and continued her training from home. She also began improving her sketching in her spare time, and sold some of her pictures every now and then. She managed to join other genin on missions when she could, and worked very well with them. She was a natural leader and always tried to keep the others out of danger. She managed to make quite a few friends because of her cheerful personality, and her time as a genin flew by. After proving herself on a particularly difficult mission, which involved saving a fellow genin from an assassin they were attempting to capture, she was promoted to chuunin at the age of thirteen. She has not yet found her path in life, but hopes that one day she will figure out what she is going to do. Today she continues focusing on working with her tattoos and her art work.

Personality

Kameko is a happy individual although she does know how to control herself in public, so she does not come off as overly bubbly. She is a skilled artist, but will probably never admit it since she is highly critical of herself. Compliments are appreciated when she receives them though. She isn't a very good teacher, she has a hard time encouraging others and explaining to them how they can change for the better.

Appearance

Many lines, symbols, and patterns cover this young woman's skin. Each of the layers of colorful tattoos blend together seamlessly almost as if her skin was the canvas to a master painter. Some of these tattoos however are hidden underneath her light tan desert robe which was adorned with many large tan feathers around the edges for decoration. Her face is the least tattooed part of her body with only a few triangular symbols under her eyes. A Sunagakure forehead protector helps keep her bangs from shielding her face and is also decorated with some more tawny feathers.

Her eyes are the color of deep purple amethysts, and her hair is black in color with a blueish tint to it in the right lighting. Her face has a gentle expression with a certain sternness behind it. Her skin has been tanned to a beautiful dark olive coloring. Two large shell shaped earrings hang from her small delicate ears. On her neck she wears a choker-like necklace with more feathers and alternating gold and silver beading on it.
