Background
Arika is a young Student of Sunagakure. She wasn't originally from there, though. When she was born, her parents (both Miira) were starting to move away from the main village and towards an outer place where they could live with some of their relatives. However, they found themselves in a quaint town that seemed perfect for their needs. Without another word, they bought a home and settled in for the long haul.
Arika's parents were extremely loving, as well as loyal to their clan. They believed that family was first, and their village was second. Though if the village was full of Miira, they would be in the same slot… Arika grew up on this idea, and she finds herself loyal to the Miira in her mind. But in her heart, she wished to be a part of Sunagakure. Maybe not a shinobi. She didn't like fighting. But someone who could be of use, like a medical ninja.
Much to her dismay, she realized her dream too late. The girl was eight when her town was attacked by the One-Tailed Shukaku (a crazed Keiko was wandering about), the destruction leading to both her parents' deaths. Somehow the girl was able to survive, her parents' bodies shielding her from much of the damage that could have happened.
Upon hearing the attack, Councilman Ikitara Yasuhiro came to the town to see if there were any survivors. He also was sent due to his knowledge of seals. If the Tailed Beast was still lurking, his presence would be required.
Yasuhiro discovered Arika and decided to take her in. The fact that she was a Miira meant she could become a strong ninjutsu-ist, which might be useful to the village. So he took her in, and the girl came to think of him like a father.
Eventually, it was discovered that the hachibi's host was an unstable capsule for the power. It was too much for him, and he went crazy. Thus they had to find a new host. Someone who wouldn't go crazy. Perhaps someone who could be moulded.
Arika was chosen to be the next holder of the Hachibi. Yasuhiro spent two months trying to persuade her to do so. It took a lot of time and pestering, but eventually she agreed to it. She was warned by the council, specifically Yasuhiro.
"It will be hard. You'll find you won't make many friends if people know the truth. It will be a burden that no one could understand unless they also went through it. And there are few Jinchuuriki within the Land of Wind. You'll lose access to your kekkei genkai, but you'll be granted with a much greater ability: that of the Tailed Beast."
"With this, you give up many of your rights. We'll allow you as much freedom as we can, but you will have someone following and watching after you. This will likely be Ikitara-san, of course, as he is one of the people able to seal the Bijuu (with help). And you know him well. You will continue to stay in his apartment. A weekly salary will be given to you so you may survive."
The conditions were set.
"Remember. You belong to Sunagakure now. If we tell you to fight, you must do so."
Arika took her leave of the Council's office and made her way to the chambers where the former 8-tails host was being kept. The ritual was performed, and the 8 tails was transferred to Arika successfully, for the most part. The only issue occurred during the transfer. Something about the Bijuu was too strong for just Yasuhiro.
In the process of moving the Hachibi, Yasuhiro died. He spent too much energy/chakra and was not able to maintain the amount he was supposed to give out. A few minor assistants died as well.
Arika joined the Academy when she took the role of becoming the host to the Bijuu. She was already new to the class and had no basic skills, much like everyone else. The problem was that when she set her mind to it, she was able to do a skill within a few days while it took some of the other children much longer. The girl tended to space out and doodle in her notebook. Despite this, she did relatively well in her studies. This only made her classmates hate her even more.
It got to the point where she was getting bullied by many of the kids in her class. She always had the Jounin bodyguard, Morai "Ping" Hideki, around her, reducing the bullies to spreading nasty rumors rather than confront her physically. A few here and there would feel bad, but there was too much animosity to fight.
With no help from her peers, Arika turned to others. Ping, for one, though he tries to act distant. Miira Rikuto is another, and Sasaki Tsuchi is a third. These three made up her friendships for the most part, and she considers them to be both great friends and 'super powerful senpai'.
Arika also befriended other genin, as she couldn't seem to be on friendly terms with the local student population. Miira Yasuichi and Miira Shikoge were two that she spends some time with, though she accidentally told them she was also a Miira. This information was supposed to be kept in the dark…
Council members Kuroki Kuoroke and Watanabe Itami sometimes approached her. While this didn't help her social standing among the Academy, she feels as if she gained more friends. Kuroki, from what she's seen, has this fatherly concern about her that she remembers her father having. Ping seems to have it as well, though it shows up less often. And Itami and Arika were able to reconcile (though it was more for the Watanabe than for Arika).
At one point in time, Arika was kidnapped by thieves disguised as merchants. They had often seen her with Ping, and figured the girl would be a good way to get some nice cash. She had seemed valuable enough. This was a big mistake, though, as Ping was quick to enlist Tsuchi and Rikuto in getting Arika back. The kidnapping pushed Arika almost to her breaking point. Despite the constant nudging of Gyuki, though, Arika didn't let the panic overwhelm her. She was close, though. If the Suna-nin had been late by even a few moments, they likely would have seen an Arika cloaked in chakra.
The kidnapping scarred Arika, of course. It's something terrible for anyone as young as she is to experience. The girl finds it difficult to be in dark confined spaces thanks to the bag she was stuffed in. But she couldn't keep being scared. She didn't want to worry people like that again, so she decided to start training, taking her studies more seriously in the Academy. This only accelerated her already-fast learning pace, making even more students angry at her. They didn't matter, though. Not anymore. She had her own path to follow.
As Arika continued to grow, she decided finally that she ought to figure out her feelings on the Bijuu within her. Kuoroke told her that, in a way. She can't let it take over her life. So in order to establish her differences, she decided to figure out just how much different Gyuki is from her.
Everyday, she tried to talk to it and see if it was up to sharing anything. For the most part, though, it was just angry that it was stuffed into a student. 'Some weak kid with no idea how to even use my power. She doesn't even wanna peek!' was what he tended to grumble.
Arika was nervous to push herself still, though. That sense of panic at releasing the Bijuu, something that she was warned several times over about, was ingrained, so she needed to find a way to keep everyone safe while testing how much strain she could go through. Her conclusion: genjutsu. Something within the mind that would be able to trap her. (It may not be the sharingan, but it was better than nothing).
Kuoroke was called upon, as was Rikuto. She knew that Kuoroke would be strong enough to keep her and the village safe, and she knew that Rikuto was a genjutsuist with a style that would likely be good for triggering … well, something. She didn't know what this something might be, but it was sure to bring the eight-tails out from its cage for a little bit. The trial was successful, and Gyuki was released. Though only in the form of a chakra cloak, and nothing too lethal. The girl is only a student with moderate strength, and the Bijuu can only do so much to help this innate power.
Gyuki realized something. If Arika is seen under control and not rampaging, security around him would be a lot looser. There would be no jounin needed to watch over her. And if he got her to be stronger, then it might mean that she would be useful and maybe someday he could get the heck out of this cage!
With this in mind, the Bijuu kept a low-key existence, and rarely speaks up unless prodded many many times by Arika. Though Miyako, host of the one-tail, tends to get a reaction from him. Whenever 'that stupid tanuki' shows up, he'll gladly attempt to outwit and out insult Shukaku, which results in Arika getting a giant headache.
And Arika knew her limits, now. She could continue on without too much fear. So long as she didn't hit that limit, she would be okay, is what she thought. Gyuki continues to haunt the back of her mind, but with less frequency.
Graduation went over well for the girl. She had to join the class that was a year or two above hers, much to the unhappiness of the Academy students. But she wouldn't have to deal with them anymore. She was free to do whatever she liked as a true Sunagakure genin.
Arika currently lives in the apartment of Yasuhiro with Ping and Jiro. She decided to take on Yasuhiro's last name and will typically introduce herself as "Ikitara Arika". Her abilities don't match up with the Miira anymore. And while she is loyal to her clan first, she's honestly not sure if she could still be considered a Miira.
Arika continues to argue with her Bijuu, but at least he won't take over randomly. They have an agreement of sorts.
Personality
Arika likes to play outside. Unlike most of those in Suna, her schedule involves less training time and more fun. She studies whatever it was that amused her at the time, most of it being artistic of nature. Her classmates proved to be 'more studious' than her, though this was only when it came to dealing with 'shinobi' topics. Tactics and fighting were things Arika wanted to keep away from. She is typically cheerful, but there always seems to be some shadow hanging around her. Sometimes she'll space out, but she'll quickly snap back into reality. She's stubborn on occasion, and won't budge in her beliefs. Sometimes she's even more stubborn when there's a chance she might be wrong about something.
She didn't really want to be a shinobi. Arika would much rather be studying things like music and art. But she is what she is, and there's no turning back. Now that she's on the path to becoming a ninja (even if it is one who desires peace without fighting), she's going to try and become strong. It's what he would want, right?
Arika is a young and willful girl. She dislikes taking orders that she doesn't see the sense in (which, due to her age, means a lot of them), but she tends to follow them because… Well… bad things tend to happen when she disobeys! She is also extremely cheerful and very oblivious to things. Usually she enjoys climbing onto people, too. While she doesn't really have a reason to climb onto people, she does enjoy seeing things from new heights.
Appearance
Arika is a young girl that looks no older than 10. It's clear she's small, standing just at four feet even. The girl's auburn hair is no longer styled in its pigtails that she used to have, instead preferring for it to hang down as it is. It's parted off-center on her left side with green clips holding back any loose hairs. The blue-green of her eyes matches the clips rather well, and those eyes of hers always seem bright. Whether this is from curiosity, mischievousness, or happiness is always circumstantial, though sometimes the brightness grows dim when she spaces out.
Her frame, which is tiny due to her age, is completely hidden in the large cloak she wears to protect herself from the sun and sandstorms of the Land of Wind. Beneath the cloak, she wears a light t-shirt and (what can only be described as) running pants, both materials clinging to her skin so as to better suit the warm Suna-weather. Her hitai-ate has been tied around her upper-arm.
A young girl of about nine years, she looks rather cheerful. Her brown hair is tied up into twin pigtails, the strands dangling on each side of her face and swinging about as she moves. Her eyes are blue-green, and bright with curiosity and wonder. There is also a hint of shadow to them, though, visible only once in a while when she seems to space out completely.

We're finally gonna go after the Storm Brigade! Ishi-kun pointed us all out to where we gotta go, and so us and Kumo are working together on these boats to get to the hidden base! I was super surprised that the base was super super far down underwater. Takeo-nii-san helped get us to the bottom of the ocean by splitting up the ocean fer us, which was pretty cool. I wish I could do cool stuff like that… Hachi-jii can't really do /anything/ cool. And now he's grumbling at me f'r writing that… Anyway! We went down into the compound with a buncha Kumo folk and went BAM POW WHAM and we got t' the bottom and fought even more of 'em! And then we got in and fought more. There was a lotta fighting. Once we got inside and were all safe from the water, me and Hiro-kun and Yume-chan from Kumo went on one side while Itami-chan and Hi-kun and Takeo-nii-san went to the other way.
So after we all split up, we went for a long ways until we came 'cross Kiji-san from Kiri! I was super surprised that she was down here, actually. She didn't seem all that good, either. She looked sorta bad, actually. She was all beat up 'n stuff, and she usually doesn't … Hnn…. There was something about her that was scared, but I dun remember her ever really getting scared, so it was weird t' see, even though I only knew her from a few times like on missions and stuff. Also cuz of Kiyo-nii-san. I dunno. We healed her up a bit, but she wanted t' be left behind, so… Umm… I guess we did. I dunno. I feel weird about leaving her behind, but it's what she wanted, so… *Shrugs*
That reminds me! I should go t' Kiri again! I met this one person and he happens t' have Sai-kun inside of him! I'm super excited! Mebbe I c'n finally teach someone some stuff like Miya-chan did with me! 'cept Miya-chan wasn't really around until the end, but … Well… And then I failed Fu-chan, so … *mrrr* I hope I dun fail this time around. I'mma Chuunin now, though, so I have less a chance t' fail, right? Chuunin are s'posed t' be super good teachers or something, right? So that means I'll be okay. And Hachi-jii will help me, too, I think. I hope… I dunno… I just wanna make sure I dun lose anyone else I think of as a friend, rilly. So I guess that means I just gotta keep going and help Hibi-kun out.
So there been a buncha disappearances lately! Super scary! Of course, me 'n Hiro-kun 'n Itami-chan are on the case! Also, there were two others, too. I dunno who they were, but one was a Kuroki and one was a Rankoro. I 'member them, but not very good. They must not be that important yet, I guess? Or I jus' dun hang out much with them. One or the other. (OOC Note: No offense to Rika and Hango <.<)
Anyway! There were a buncha scary monsters in the sand that were trying to kill everyone! We found this one ninja there and she was all injured and stuff. I had t' heal her and get her outta the way, and then I came back. My clone had captured one of the ones we were fighting, and he was talking about how everyone was his friend but they changed or something. I dunno what that means, though. He looked super gross, too. Sorta like a scorpion, but he had like talons and beaks and feathers and stuff like a hawk. It was super weird. I wonder what's up with him… I dun think I really wanna know.
October 2014 Entries
He keeps trying to talk me into it, but I really don't wanna… I don't think I would be all that useful, anyway. Cuz I'm only a student. I don't wanna disappoint him, but he said that I had the right "disposition" and I was skilled enough… I dunno what that means, though. I trust him… He told me to do that. It's only been a few months, but I do. Cuz he saved me and is letting me live with him…
Okay, I'll do it. I'll tell him tomorrow. I know he's anxious about everything, so he'll prob'ly wanna get started right away. I'm nervous, but I think it'll be okay. He said I'd be fine.
There's no one to celebrate my birthday with. Normally my mom and dad would make me a giant cake, but they're not here anymore. And the councilman is gone too… I tried making friends, but they all ignore me, and they don't make me feel like I should hang out around them. I also have a constant headache and dunno why. The council told me he died during the operation, so they would make sure I was taken care of. But I guess that doesn't include birthdays. I have some money, though. I get it from them every week. I'll use it to buy myself a cake, I think.
I met some new friends lately! Well, I hope they'll turn out to be friends. There's Miira Yasuichi-san. He's nice. He let me have some of his rice and miso! It was tasty~. And then Fujiwara Ei-san and Red-kun I met at the market. Red-kun is kinda silly, but I guess it's because he's always wandering around. I dunno how he's surviving in Suna with his clothes. Fujiwara-san's baby, Miyu-chan, is super cute, too. I hope I get to see more of these people!
Today I met Miyako-san. I call her Miya-san, actually. She liked the nickname, though! It was weird meeting her, though. I was talking to her when I heard this strange voice in my head. It was weird… And it said something about a tanuki. When I mentioned it to Miya-san, she pulled me into a corner and asked if I was a Jinchuuriki. I guess it makes sense, now. I wonder if she can help me get a handle on the Bijuu… He's sleeping for now, but he's starting to wake up, I think. I'm nervous…
I was training with Rikkun a bit more. The Bijuu is getting more talkative as time goes on. I dunno why he's not as annoying as Miya-san said, but I don't mind him very much… yet. Today he did something bad, though! He tricked me into letting him try something, and it scared Rikkun. Ping-san had to step in and cover for me. I guess Rikkun is a 'sensor nin' and he can cheat when it comes to finding people. I don't get it, but it sounds useful. Hopefully he isn't mad at me!

Tsucchan introduced to me to So-kun and Maki-Maki today! They're really called Sora and Maki. They have really soft fur and it's really comfy and snuggly~. It makes me wanna have a ferret to have around! Ping-san isn't any fun, and the Bijuu in my head can't play with me. Well, we do argue… But that's not the point! Also, he's super annoying sometimes. He keeps making mean comments about people. But I dunno how annoying he is compared to other Bijuu… I don't think I'll find out. Maybe I'll ask Miya-chan if I see her!
… Now the Bijuu is laughing at me. I still can't see him, either. All I can do is talk to him. It's weird. I wonder if I'll ever be able to see him inside me.
Today I went to see the Theater! It's the second time I've seen it. Kuroki-sama let me in using his councilman status, so I got to peek around a bit. It was really dark, but I could make out the audience and got to run around the stage a bit. Kuroki-sama is nicer than I thought! He was asking me about how I was and stuff. That means he cares, right?
Today I actually got to see a show. I was with Ping-san when Red waved me over to his seat. We talked a bit about how we were excited for the show, and a bunch of old people got mad at us for talking so loud. Then there were foxes, and the Bijuu was grumbling about 'that stupid nine tails' the whole time. But I still had fun! The story was nice, but sad. I wanna see it again, but the people who did the show are moving onto the next show after today.
Today I was at the training center. Shikoge-san and Yasu-san were there, and Shikoge-san was explaining scorch techniques to me. But he couldn't go into depth about it cuz he said I wasn't a Miira. But I am! My mom and dad were from the Miira clan. I ended up telling Yasu-san and Shikoge-san even though I shouldn't have. I can't get the kekkei genkai because of the Bijuu inside of me…
Shikoge-san ended up giving me a hug when he learned about my parents. He's really nice. And so is Yasu-san. Then I went home.
I ran away from Ping-san again. But as I was running, I ended up in a sack! It was really scary and dark, and really cramped. I didn't like it at all. I couldn't figure out where anyone was. I thought Ping-san would have got me, but it felt like forever I was stuck inside of it… And the Bijuu kept fighting for me to release him. I didn't let him go, but he was close sometimes. I really wanted to let him out just so I could escape the bag…
When I got out of the bag, I saw Ping-san. Tsucchan and Rikkun were there helping out, too. I told Ping-san that the Bijuu almost got out, but I think he already knew that. He put some more seals on me and strengthened the ones already on me. I dunno how much more seals can be put on me, so hopefully it's enough to keep the Bijuu back.
I was eating watermelon today when Kuroki-sama and Miya-chan came to see me! Well, I'm not sure if they meant to do that, but they did! And we chatted a bit. The Bijuu inside me was all riled up because of Miya-chan's Bijuu. The One-Tailed Tanuki. I'm not too sure what they were going on about, but it was sometimes hard to concentrate on talking.
Kuroki-sama told me he would find me a teacher for painting! I'm excited. I really wanna learn to use oil paints, but any kind of teacher would be great. I really wanna become good at art. And learn some things about the history of things. But yeah! I'm excited~
Today I was in the gardens. Watanabe-sama was there and pacing this way and that. Then the Kazekage poofed in! He does 'henge' really really well! Then they started talking, and I think Watanabe-sama is looking to be the next Kazekage! It's weird to think about, a new Kage… But I'll be happy if Watanabe-sama is the Kage. I like her. And I think she'd be a good Kage! At least, from what I can tell.
I forgot to mention… But about a week ago, Watanabe-sama let me help her collect crystals! She called them 'quartz'. I got to see outside the village and explore some of the caves and stuff! It was really exciting. Also… we encountered this beastie that was made of rocks. I helped Watanabe-sama take it out using my kunai. I had to sharpen them with my wind chakra, but it worked!
Today I met up with Kuroki-sama and told him about how Itami-sama might become Kazekage! I think I surprised him with that information~. I really wanted to see him surprised because he's always so calm all the time. Trying to get a reaction from him is hard. I only made his eyebrows raise, but he became really interested. He actually seemed upset when the first thing that came out of my mouth was about painting, hehe!
Then later I was talking with Itami-sama. We got tea and chocolate and mochi, and it was super tasty. Then we talked a bit. About me and the thing inside me. (And it's telling me it's not a thing. But I still dunno what it looks like…) She talked about how all the people before me went crazy, and then she had to clean up the damage. And then she went on to say she didn't want that to happen with me, so she was going to try and see past all that and get to know me.
I'm not entirely sure what was going on. I didn't think Itami-sama hated me. Some of my classmates hate me. I can tell. They're always mean and bully me sometimes. But I have other friends! And now Itami-sama is my friend. She even made me a glass doggie! It's all playful and cute. She said it wouldn't break, so I can bring it with me as a good luck charm to battles if I wanted!

I finally graduated from the Academy! I was only there for a few months (4), but it felt like the longest time. I was the only one in my class to graduate, though, which was a bit nerve-wracking. Everyone else was so much older! My instructor got kinda angry at me for not being able to stay still, but other than that, I think it went well! And now I have the headband of Sunagakure! I'm gonna wear it around my arm! *nods* Ping-san is proud of me too, I think. He let me get Mochi before dinner, so that's gotta mean something. Usually he's super strict about meals and stuff. I can't wait to tell Rikkun and Tsucchan!
The thing inside me seems kinda glad too. I think he said something about me being more useful, but it's hard to understand him when he's just muttering random things. And when I prod him, he just snaps at me. Hmm… Oh well. Maybe I can work more on my art, too, now that I don't have a bunch of homework.
I got to go on my first mission that was actually outside of Sunagakure! It was super exciting. Me and Rikkun had to get rid of a bunch of rats and snakes and scorpions that were overrunning this one town. I forget its name, but it seemed fun. There were lots of shops everywhere. All the storeowners were mostly grumbly about the rat infestation, though. Rikkun turned the mission into a game, which made it even more fun! We had to see who could kill the most creatures. I won barely, but Rikkun was super impressive too! He had a bunch of tricks up his sleeve. I can't wait to go on another mission.
Today I met a new friend, Kuroki Zankaru. He's kinda odd, but he's also really nice. He's kinda like Kuroki-sama with all his tattoos, though I guess it makes sense cuz they're related! He was juggling when I saw him. Apparently he's a genin, which means he's the same rank as I am. Maybe we'll be able to form a team? I dunno. Sometimes the council is super strict when it comes to what I get to do. It's really annoying!
And the Bijuu has been super quiet lately. Sometimes he breaks out of his sleep to comment on something, but usually he doesn't do anything. It's kinda weird. And I kinda miss arguing with him, in a weird way. Maybe this is what it's like to have a sibling?
Today I dragged Rikkun into the desert so he could teach me some new technique. He was kinda grumbly because he wanted to sleep, though. Then he made a clone of himself and it taught me a new jutsu! I have to focus a bunch of chakra and make another one of me. But I have to use wind to make the clone! I don't think I get it very much, but I think it's a cool technique. We worked the whole day on it and Rikkun says I made progress, especially considering my age and stuff. I can't figure out if it's cuz I'm just a really good jutsuist or if it's because of the Bijuu, but I'm glad I can make wind clones now!

Iga Ayumu-san is really interesting! I remember meeting him in the caves, and he was standing on top of the walls! It really surprised me, I remember, and so I wanted to learn. He kinda taught me, too. I was able to stick to the wall for a little bit before the day ended, but it was really hard work. Apparently the next step is like water-walking or something? I'm gonna practice that a bunch so that I can get it and show Ayumu-san! Then maybe he can show me how to make more of me! Rikkun is sorta able to make more of himself, but it's too hard with wind. And the clones that Ayumu-san used are a bunch cooler, I think.
Apparently the technique is called Shadow Clones. I learned it today while on a mission with Rikkun! We were helping escort Hachiro-san and Jon-kun from the Land of Fire. I dunno why you'd wanna go there. It's so cold! Yuck. Hachiro-san sells glass-ware and stuff. I guess it's not as sturdy as Itami-sama's, cuz they had to pack their cart to the brim! While we were traveling, we came across this place with a bunch of carts overturned. And then there was a group of bandits that were actually the same as everyone else. It was confusing… Hachiro-san said they were Shadow Clones. I think that's what Ayumu-san was using, but I dunno. I should ask!
Well, I didn't really hunt him down! I sorta just came across him! And there were two of him again, like usual. I poked at him a bunch until he finally said that he would help me learn shadow clones. But he said I needed to be tested first! *HUFF* I had to run all around the village and keep up with Shun-san. And so I did. But Shun-san was really fast! It took lots of energy to keep up, and I barely made it! The beginning was kinda easy, though. Then it got harder. I had to use that wind-dash technique a bunch that I learned from Tsucchan… Hmm, I haven't seen her in a while. I wonder if she's busy with So-kun and Maki-Maki..? Anyway, when we got to the final part, Shun-san kept trying to stop me by poking people to make it harder to get around and sending a giant bunch of kids! So mean… But I made it, and I think I got Ayumu-san's approval! I'm really excited! I think he said we would meet at the caves, so I'm gonna make Ping-san wake me up really early so I get there in time.
Today I started learning how to make a Shadow Clone! … Well, first I had to know all the boring stuff. Like how it can be used for gathering information and you can make a bunch of yourself while staying in bed. I think I like that the best. It means I can hang out with Rikkun, Tsucchan, and Ayumu-san all at the same time while asleep! Hehehe. Ayumu-san said I had to make a clone that was solid. And elemental clones weren't as good or didn't have personality because they were impure chakra, so they didn't really form anything other than a clone. I guess that makes sense, but it makes me wonder about Rikkun's clones.
Anyway, so I have to make a clone and then fill it with chakra. It's really hard to do. Hachi-jii tried to help me, but I made him stop. I wanna do this by myself! I feel like Hachi-jii's always helping me even though I don't want it, or he's making trouble for me or something. It's annoying. But if I can get this without him, then I'll be happy! I know that I can last longer than most people my age, but that's still sorta who I am, right?
So I forgot to write about it, but I met this boy named Jiro-kun! He's always hungry. I met him while I was wandering around, and he was bothering Itami-sama with food, I think? I don't remember too well. But I remember I didn't like him that much cuz he was all rude to me. But now we're good friends! I think it's really fun to play with him. Ping-san said I could invite him to the New Year's party we were gonna have, so I'm excited for that. Otherwise it'll just be me and Ping-san, and that sounds really lonely.
I wonder if Jiro-kun likes fireworks. We should get really good ones. And then I should bring him to see a play. Mhmm! That sounds like a lotta fun. I know there's gonna be a troupe in town soon, so we can do that.
February 2015 Entries
It's New Year's! Jiro-kun came over today and we had a celebration, and then Ping-san let us launch fireworks from the roof of our apartment! It was really fun. Also, Ping-san said that he was gonna invite Jiro-san into our home to stay for as long as he wants! I'm really excited. Jiro-kun said things weren't going well where he was staying, so I guess Ping-san looked into it and decided it would be a good idea if he stayed with us. I hope he doesn't mind Ping-san's snooping or anything…
So we set off to Konoha, but before that we had to go and visit Jiro-kun's family. They were super nice! Jiro-kun was all worried about it, but they were fine with him staying with me and Ping-san. I'm really happy! While we were going to Konoha, we met up with Hachiro-san and Jon-san. The Glass Master. But while we were traveling, Hachiro-san attacked us! There were a bunch of him, too. I don't get what was going on, but it was really suspicious. He was really helpful, though. It's confusing… Ping-san took him into custody, but I dunno what'll happen next.
Today I decided that I would face Gyuki once and for all. Well, it wasn't just me that decided that. Itami-sama also wanted me to do so. So I got Rikkun and Itami-sama and we went to the arena. And Rikkun put me in a genjutsu again. It was just as scary as before… But I was able to get deeper into my mind. It doesn't work very well when I try to do it alone, though…. I have to force it really hard. Once I got to Hachi-jii's chamber, we argued a bunch like usual. But then he decided to test me. If I could get control and stop him from attacking Rikkun, then he would work with me! I managed to do it twice, but was really tired by the third. But I guess I succeeded because Hachi-jii decided to work with me for now! Yay! It's nothing yet, and he said if I get angry, then he'll be ready to take over. So that just means I gotta be calm.
Jiro-kun and I were supposed to be bait, and then help take out a buncha bad guys, I guess. But I don't know if it worked out that well. When I got caught, it was super sudden. And it reminded me of that thing from a few months ago. Even though it was a long time ago, it was really scary still…. I almost couldn't move or anything. Kai-kun and Jiro-kun and Rikkun were there, though, and we managed to finish the mission in time. So that's good! It was just really scary… Stupid kidnappers…
Ayumu-san disappeared! He said he would help train me, but now he's leaving the village! I won't let him go that easy, though! I've managed to follow him a bunch of the way. I dunno where we are, though. There's a bunch of rivers and stuff where we are. And Ayumu-san is meeting with the masked person and some others, too! I dunno who they all are, though… I wonder why they're all the way over here. I'm gonna turn into a squirrel or something to get a better look.
Ayumu-san is meeting a buncha people! The Ryousha twins, Zetto-san, Hanpa-san, and a few others were all there. I dunno who everyone is, but it's kinda scary. I dunno what they're doing here. Ayumu-san said I should stay hidden for the beginning of it, but then said I should stop the henge and say hi to everyone. So I did. And I met Ieyasu-san and Soubi-san. And Ayumu-san said we were going back to Suna soon. Yay! I don't like all this water around me, it feels weird.

Ping-san /finally/ shared what he was doing! He was apparently investigating Hachiro-san and stuff. Apparently Hachiro-san has a twin brother who is head of an underground organization or something. He's mostly gotten by through being quiet and not doing much, but all the attacks on Hachiro-san drew attention. I dunno what's really going on, but it sounds important! A really powerful team with me, Kai-kun, Jiro-kun, Kuroki-sama, Miya-chan, and Ayumu-san was sent to find him. We got to his house, and no one was home but a buncha shadow clones. And then Ayumu-san managed to capture Ichirou (that's his name). So I guess that means the Glass Master can go on with his life! Yay!! I wonder if we'll celebrate with mochi…
Jiro-kun was kidnapped! A buncha guys who wanted Yoppa back took his class and 5 other classmates with him. They said we had to release Yoppa or they would kill everyone. I was really worried. Me and Ayumu-san and the Raikage went to go rescue him! It went better, at least. I think. So we went, and they tried to keep Jiro-kun, but I wouldn't let them. And Hi-kun helped out a bunch! He went *ZOOM* and grabbed Jiro-kun. And he used shadow clones, so he must be super awesome like Ayumu-san. I wonder what his shadow clones are like. Mine aren't like Ayumu-san's… Well, anyway, Jiro-kun is super banged up, but he's okie. Now he just needs to rest. Ooh! He's waking up!
Of all the things for Jiro-kun and me to argue about, it has to be about who's protecting whom. I think cuz I'm stronger I should protect Jiro-kun. He gets into trouble more often than me! And he's the one that steals stuff and does dangerous things. He also had an evil guardian, but I guess Yoppa is away and in jail, so that's one less thing to worry about. Jiro-kun says I should be protected. The fact that I have Ping-san watching over me all the time is proof of that. Apparently he's learning seals from Ping-san so he can help protect me if he ever needs to. I hope he's okie… I don't want Jiro-kun to get hurt trying to protect me. I can heal better than him and everything, so he should let me protect him, shouldn't he?
Anyway, I guess I should write about what I was gonna originally… Me and Jiro-kun were walking back from the hospital when guys came to try and beat him up again. They also turned on me, but I was able to defeat them! … sorta. I had to use a lotta energy to beat them up, and it took a long time for me to do so. And in the end, I ended up passing out! Jiro-kun was even worse than before, too… I never wanna see Jiro-kun hurt ever again. Next time I'll kill someone who tries. Good thing some friendly shinobi showed up, or bad things could've happened.
Today I went to the hospital to learn medical things from Keiji-san. It was really interesting. We talked a little bit about the Chakra Network and how knowing it could help with a healing process. Then we sort of branched off into other things. Keiji-san gave me this book about things, too. It's really heavy. We talked about how Hachi-jii might end up making things go bad if I used my chakra, but Keiji-san said he knew someone who could help. He said there was Shuuren-san, who's a Land of Tea Daimyo and a surgeon, and there's Mushi-san. I heard of Mushi-san before from Red-kun a long time ago, so I wanna learn from her so I can see Red-kun again! Ping-san made me leave early, but I still had questions. Maybe I can ask them next time.

As I was walking, I saw a buncha familiar faces outside of Sunagakure. It was a bunch of people from Hanpa and Hanpa-san, too! I didn't know what to do, so I followed after them to the dome. And they met with Itami-sama. It was really confusing and stuff. I turned into a lizard so people wouldn't see me, but I think they did anyways. And then Zetto-san knew I was there and looked hungry, so I perched on Itami-sama for safety. Phew… There was a bunch of talk about how 'Takokujin' and Suna and Kiri were doing things together secretly and they wanted to continue? I dunno… I'll ask Itami-sama later.
I went on a mission with Rikkun today! And Jiro-kun! We had to help stop a fire that might come to a village. It was really early when we had to wake up, though. I didn't like that at all. Once we got there, Rikkun made us create this thing called a 'fire break'. But while we were making it, fires started appearing! It was really weird. And me and Rikkun found a mouse that had matches on it. And then me and Jiro-kun went to investigate this one man who was playing the lute, and I guess it was him that was making the fires, because he mentioned mice when I didn't. And then he threw some at me that exploded! And he got away and set more fires, which makes me angry!
There's a Hayato in Suna again! Hachi-jii isn't too happy, but I don't really mind. Ma-kun is really nice and I like him. And he likes Jiro-kun a bunch. I like Sinbad-san. That's Ma-kun's falcon. He's really nice and funny, I think. Ma-kun is going out with this girl named Mei-chan, but I dunno her that well. But I think she's nice. She can use earth jutsu, which is cool. I wonder if someday I can use another element besides wind…
Today me and Kai-kun and Jiro-kun went exploring. Well, it was a mission, but we /were/ exploring. The problem is… The village we were looking at was really weird. Everyone acted strange. There wasn't any kids or animals. Just a buncha soldiers. Me and Kai-kun explored a bit more, and we found a buncha kids just fighting each other. I guess they were being forced to do so, or something, because they really didn't wanna. It made me sad to see them like that. We defeated the people that were there, though, and helped free all the kids. But there's something really wrong with all that… I just dunno what it is. And they seem to be super against Jiro-kun, too…
Rikkun's finally back! He's been gone for /forever/. He was really weird, though, when he did. For some reason he was henge-d into a girl I dunno why, though. Maybe he was on some kinda recon stuff? I dunno! But I'm glad he's back. He was sorta there when we fought against the Silence, but I didn't see him afterwards, so I was a bit worried. But he's definitely back! Yay~~. Maybe he'll help train me! Ping-san said Rikkun was planning on some things, but I dunno what those might be. I wanna know what it is, but I'm also a bit nervous. I don't think he'd do anything bad, though, like that genjutsu. Ick…

I keep learning genjutsu from Miya-chan and Rikkun! Well, I guess Rikkun started teaching me first. He showed me how to make things have a teeny change. Like when he made his hitai-ate look like it was a headband from the Hidden Mist village. And then Miya-chan showed me how to make people hear voices. It was super cool, but also kinda weird. And Hachi-jii gets all grumbly when I use genjutsu, so I kinda wanna learn it just to make him all angry. Maybe he'll listen to me if I do it enough times! Hehehe.
We finally made the last assault on Yoppa's giant organization. We were able to rescue a buncha kids from being forced to fight, and we took down a lot of the bad guys. I guess that Jiro-kun and Kai-kun ran into Yoppa, though…. After the mission, Jiro-kun was super not-talkative. He was really scared. Like he usually is when Yoppa is mentioned… But Kai-kun said that he was dead, so I don't know why Jiro-kun is so scared. I don't get it… I wanna understand, but… Maybe if I were to unlock the memories…
Everything from when something attacked my village to when I woke up for the first time in Ping-san's care is fuzzy. I dunno why, though. Whenever I try to remember, it just makes me wanna cry. I feel even littler than I am… I don't like it. I wonder if that's how Hachi-jii feels. He feels littler than he should be, so he tries to be all brave and strong.
Jiro-kun's been all quiet ever since we took down Yoppa! It's making everything less fun. I dunno what to do or anything, either. Kai-kun and Itami-sama both talked to him a bit, but he's not really getting any better. He's getting by just by making hand motions and stuff, but there's only so much that can be interpreted. And I guess Itami-sama isn't a really good translator because Jiro-kun always gets mad at her when she tries to figure out what he's saying and pass on the message… Me and Jiro-kun still have adventures sometimes, but it's not the same as when we were able to argue with each other and stuff. It makes me unhappy! I don't like Jiro-kun all quiet! :(
Today, me and Jiro-kun went out on a mission, and we got to see Kit-chan! I saw her a long time ago in Konoha when we visited forever ago during when that stuff about the Silence was happening. It was really cool to see her! I didn't know some of the things that I learned that day about her… And I felt a bit awkward. I guess it's cuz I never went through what those two went through… Well, I did… But I don't like to think about it :< It's not fun to think about. I'd rather think about things like mochi and art and having fun with Jiro-kun! Jiro-kun really got close to Akane-san, and I think it helped a bunch. He looks less scared. I'm glad.

I went on a mission with Kai-kun and Jiro-kun and Miya-chan today! I guess there was something odd going on at the ruins? I dunno… But it was really interesting. When we got there, there wasn't really much. But then it got dark, and these lanterns starting showing up. And the things started breathing out this weird red mist… I dunno what it was, but apparently it makes you feel super sleepy when you breathe it in and it's super not good for you! So now we gotta watch out and make sure that we stay away from it… I wonder what'll happen with it, though…
There were some weird bad guys that thought the mist was something like a god. I dunno why they thought that. I guess they dunno what it does, so it's just something to believe in. But it's weird that they thought that way. We were able to stop them, and I guess they're people that escaped from the Land of Lightning, because their clothes looked like they were from the mountains. I dunno why they're all the way over here in the Land of Wind, though.
I want Ayumu-san to teach me a new thing! Something exciting! And useful! And windy~. He said he would, so I'm really excited! BUT… He also said that I had to pass another test so that he would know I'm ready for it. I dunno why there're all these tests he's giving me… It's annoying! But I'll definitely pass it! All I gotta do is take some of Itami-sama's clothes. Ayumu-san said that they should be 'undergarments' or something, which sound kinda yucky. Why would he want them? Yuck! But then I gotta bury them somewhere. I think I'll put them in a bag so they don't get too dirty.
It's my birthday today! I'm turning 10! I'm all grumbly that Jiro-kun is younger, though. And taller, too! It's not fair! Someday I'll be taller than him, but I guess not today. Huff… I didn't get as many presents this time. But I did get some cake! I guess Jiro-kun got it specially, so we shared it and then fell asleep cuz the day was super tiring and all that. 's been a while since I had that much fun! I wonder if there'll be anything else fun like that soon…

I fought against Itami-sama today! Not cuz I really wanted to, but also I did. I wanted to see if I could control Hachi-jii at all, and I guess I sorta can… But when my cloak grew the fourth tail, I don't remember much of anything. It was kinda hard to keep everything straight, and there was a bunch of scary anger that was suddenly in my head. I didn't like that at all…. I guess I also sorta hurt Itami-sama, too… Oops. I didn't wanna hurt her. It wasn't my fault or anything. Just Hachi-jii being a big meanie.
It hasn't been that long since me and Itami-sama fought, but me and her fought again. This time, though, I had Jiro-kun with me! And! Even better! I used a shadow clone to sneak over to her house, too, while we were fighting, and it managed to get some of the clothes that Ayumu-san wanted! Me and Jiro-kun together are a vicious combo, I guess, cuz we were able to beat up Itami-sama. 'course now she wants a spa day or something! Yuck! I don't wanna give her a spa day D: She's got all this sand and stuff everywhere!
Ayumu-san finally decided to teach me that new skill! He called it 'vacuum sphere' and said that I could only use it on certain occasions. I forget what those are, but I'll try not to use it too much if that makes him happy. It was a really interesting move, though. I think it'll be useful, but I dunno. It doesn't seem very strong at all. I think I need something better than it, but there's not many wind stuff in the jutsu scrolls I've read. I'll need to come up with a new technique soon.
I went to Konoha! Well, not really. It some place between us and them, though, and the Red Mist was there. I met this girl from Kumo named Hanami! I dunno what to call her, though. Hanamin? Hana-chan? I need to think of something. Anyway, I was on the mission, and Hanpa-san was there, too. He said that I should send a shadow clone into this weird portal thingy that the red mist was coming from, and I did. It was really creepy, though. There was this city and it looked like it was made of the red mist. And there were all these people. And when you get eaten by the mist, you feel like you got brainwashed and fell unconscious. It was super creepy. I dunno if I wanna feel that way again.

I went off with Miya-chan on a mission! I dunno what exactly was going on, but we had to find something, or … I forget! There were weird bugs involved, though. And it was an important mission like all the other ones I been on! Anyway, me and Miya-chan were just wandering along when we came across this weird old lady. She was like… I dunno! She seemed to know a bunch of things about Miya-chan. She also mentioned a 'Keiko', but I dunno who that is. And then…. I don't really remember after that. But when I woke up, I remember there was a bunch of blood. I don't wanna remember what happened, I think… It sounds like something scary happened.
Ooh! There was a thing! A letter. From the Land of Water! Meru-kage is gonna be hosting a tournament! I really wanna go, but I dunno if Itami-sama will let me or not… And I hope Jiro-kun can go! I think it'd be super fun! I wonder what kind of opponents we would be facing… It'll be really fun, I bet! There's gonna be lots to eat, and maybe they'll have ice cream mochi instead of regular mochi because Kiri isn't as hot as Suna! That'd be the best part, I think!
I finally asked Itami-sama, and she said me and Jiro-kun could go! She even decided to go, too, though I guess she doesn't feel like fighting? I dunno, but that's silly. I put my name into the tournament, and I guess I'm in the second bracket. I dunno why, though. I'm not very strong except when me and Jiro-kun are working together. Then we're invincible! I wonder if we'll be allowed to partner up in the tournament… I bet we won't be :(
Today I fought in my first match! It was really exciting, but I don't think I stood much of a chance. My opponent was this person from Kumo called 'Ryouji'. He moved super fast! Faster than me and Jiro-kun, even! And we're super fast, too. I guess a lot of people are, though? But Ryouji-kun was so fast that I couldn't even see him. Umm… I almost lost control, though. I had to make it so that Hachi-jii would go away, otherwise I might've been captured or something yucky like that! I don't wanna be kept in Kiri. Kiri's too wet! There's no sand anywhere, and it's cold all the time. At least I don't gotta wait in that hospital of theirs. It's too crowded in there.

I got to face off against a /clan head/! It was super scary, and I don't think I was prepared at all. He had super strong moves, and I couldn't escape any of them. I think I accidentally got scared and let Hachi-jii out, though, but Kiyo-nii-san was there and he rescued me from the scary clan head! I think his name was Amago-san… Hmm… I guess I'm outta the tournament. *grump* Jiro-kun is still in it, though, so I gotta wait for him before we go back to Suna! So maybe I can get some training done with Kiyo-nii-san…
Today I got to meet with Kiyo-nii-san! He showed me a spot and I could practice whenever I wanted. He showed me how to use some of Hachi-jii's chakra so that I could pick up a boulder. It's actually super hard! I didn't think it'd be hard, but it is. Cuz it takes a lot of concentration to try and make sure I don't squish the boulder. And then I have to stack it, too! Which means I have to keep careful control of the tail, otherwise, things crumble. I'm gonna practice this lots, I think! I'll show him I can do it.
I met up with Kazu-kun today! He's super silly, I think. He doesn't really feel confident about /anything/, and his Bijuu, Sai-kun, takes over really easy. I think the only good news about Sai-kun is that he's nice and doesn't do anything odd when Kazu-kun is unconscious. I wonder if they can do that willingly, or if Sai-kun has to make Kazu-kun pass out every time. Oh! And we decided we should all meet up. I think that'd be super cool! Meeting with Kazu-kun and Kiyo-nii-san all at once. We said we'd meet up at noon, and we'd just show up to see if it's the meeting time. It's kinda strange, but it should work!
Yay, I finally got to be together with both Kiyo-nii-san and Kazu-kun! It was super weird, because Kazu-kun hasn't really done much with his cloak. I was kinda jealous that he was able to do stuff so easily without giving up control, but it was also super cool that he was able to do that. I think Kazu-kun is gonna be a super-good jinchuuriki, but he needs more confidence in himself! We worked more with boulders, which was super boring, but other than that, it was fun. I wonder if we'll meet again… Now that I just am waiting for Jiro-kun to finish with the tournament, I at least have lots of time to train!

Yay! We're finally back in Sunagakure after the longest time! I feel like that tournament took forever. It was super interesting to see Kazu-kun and Kiyo-nii-san, but I'm glad to be back in the Land of Wind. First thing is first: figure out what to do next! It was an exciting adventure, and I'm ready to tackle the next option! Umm… But maybe a nap, first… And I know Ping-san wants to make sure I'm doing okay and the like. I ran into Kuo-kun and told him a bunch about my adventures, too! He seemed to be interested in some of it, at least. Anyway, time for dinner!
Today, me and Itami-chan went off into the desert, and she weakened the seal! I dunno what she was thinking, but Hachi-jii thought that it was an amazing idea. I guess… it's supposed to help me with building a relationship with him, but I can feel him planning and plotting. I bet that he'll try to pull something sometime when I let my guard down. I just dunno when… But I need to sleep, so I can't be as vigilant. Maybe Ping-san will at least be able to help. And Jiro-kun. They're both good at keeping Hachi-jii at bay.
*grumble* Hachi-jii is being mean! He won't let me sleep very much, so Ping-san had to force me to drink some really yucky tea. But it made me sleep, so I guess that's okay… Plus, I don't even have energy to do stuff! Most of it is working on making sure he doesn't escape. *Grumble grumble* Next time I see Itami-chan, I'm gonna poke her really hard in the stomach! Then she'll definitely listen when I think that releasing part of the seal is a bad idea. Maybe. I dunno… For now, though, I gotta go on a mission. At least this time it's simple.
Oooh! I saw Red-kun! He was finally back in Suna, 'cept he didn't look too good. But it's good to see him! He was hanging in Motai Theater when I found him. Or was it a restaurant near there… Anyway, I got to see him! It's super nice to see him. I guess he's looking for Mushi-san now? And… someone called Goh. I dunno who these people are, though. I wonder if I can tell him where they are someday! Maybe! For now, though, I guess I'll just show him around Suna again! It's fun having people my age around, and Hachi-jii wasn't even complaining! Maybe he'll disappear for a bit so I can rest finally.

Miya-chan said that she was gonna help me out with poking at Hachi-jii to cooperate with me. I dunno what we're gonna end up doing, but I wouldn't mind training to make it so Hachi-jii actually listens to me! He's been super annoying lately cuz of all his trouble-making. I wonder if she has as much trouble with Shukun as I do with Hachi-jii. I know that Hachi-jii and Shukun dun get along very well. … They better not start arguing in my head when we do this. 'cept I gotta get Itami-chan's permission… Hrm…
Happy New Year! I invited Kai-kun over for some painting, but I dunno if he liked it or not. He said he did! It was kinda a standard party. We painted fruit! Kai-kun isn't that bad of an artist, either. After we painted, we got to do something a bit more exciting: I got a bunch of fireworks and set them off! It was super pretty! I wish we could do it again. Maybe next year Jiro-kun will be around for it, too. I really wanna have all'a my friends around for when the next fireworks go off… Hmm… Oh! And I gave Kai-kun a present! Fer being promoted to Jounin. I hope he likes it!
I got Itami-chan's permission t' learn from Miya-chan! I dunno what Miya-chan was so worried about, really. Itami-chan wouldn't say no t' me training! I know that Ping-san is a bit worried cuz he can't really watch over me for this kinda training, but I know it'll be fine because Miya-chan will be there to help me out! I bet Jiro-kun will be there, too, cuz he's a big worry-wart sometimes. I wonder if Kuo-kun will join… Sometimes he likes to see what's gonna happen. Sometimes not. Usually he's around when something super important happens, and Miya-chan said she would need help with the sealing part… shrug Oh well. I'l just see what happens!
Me 'n Jiro-kun were jus' sorta wandering around bored when Itami-sama said that she was looking for her mom t' make sure that she wasn't gonna get caught. 'cept me 'n Jiro-kun ended up helping Kotone-san find Itami-chan, and then there was a bunch of stuff… Umm… Something about interesting bachelors or something. So me 'n Jiro-kun suggested Kai-kun, and now we're helping set up a wedding! I dunno what all we're supposed to do, but Jiro-kun and me are gonna help a bunch with all the decorations and the food and stuff. And we get to buy whateeeeeever we want so that the wedding is super amazing! I'm super excited!

Whee! Itami-chan's getting married and me 'n Jiro-kun are helping! We got a buncha caterers from all sortsa places in the Land of Wind to make sure we had super amazing food for the wedding. I think Itami-chan is sorta worried about how much it costs, but it should be okay, right? After all, Itami-chan is super mega rich and has a buncha money! So she doesn't have to worry much about anything. Right? And then after we got all the food in, we had to go and make sure all the decorations were okay. So we got a bunch of flowers and stuff! Except when we got them, some of the flowers were missing :( So me 'n Jiro-kun had to go find them and stuff. So we did, but they were super hard to get back.
So then after we got all the stuff in place, we had to go and make sure that all the guests were gonna come. So me 'n Jiro-kun went out to all the villages and invited all the Kage and their sweets (OOC Note: suites) to the wedding. I think it went well!
So then the wedding finally came! I saw Hi-kun (Hiei) and a buncha Kumo people. Kai-kun 'n Jiro-kun looked super good! So did Itami-chan. And it was a super fun wedding, I thought, with a buncha food. And I'm super glad we were able to get mochi :3
Bijuu Mastery is something that Miya-chan told me about. So we started training in the super dark place under the Kage 'ministration dome. It's super super creepy. Kuo-kun and Miya-chan and Jiro-kun sorta helped me, but it was all stuff that I had to do. I didn't like it very much, but in the end I was able t' get Hachi-jii to make up with me. Except first he tried to escape from Suna… And then he tried t' kill a buncha people, and I ended up getting grounded t' Suna b'fore I was able t' leave to get all the invitations out. But I guess it's all in the past now? We still argue every now and then, but… He doesn't randomly take over.
I finally found someone to teach me medical stuff! Or rather, finish what Keiji-san started. Ken-chan showed me how to use the things that Keiji-san was showing me! I can look at people's bodies, now! Or at least, sorta… It's really hard to do, but I'm getting it to work! He also showed me a bunch of animals to see if they're okay. I got to experience a bunch of different injuries on tiny animals! There was a bunny, and a guinea pig, and a squirrel! They were super cute. Oooh, also a hamster! Umm… I alos helped heal Daichi-kun, sorta. He was all burnt, so I changed his bandages. It was yucky, but I did it!
I finally met all the Kage! I like Daisuke-nii-san best, I think! He's super nice, and he has the Yonbi inside of him, so it's fun to just kinda talk with him there. Oh! And Hi-kun is super nice, too. I met him a few times before cuz he came to Suna once. And I helped him pick out a present for someone. I forget who, though… Ummm… Someone he likes a lot? Juudai-sama was sorta distant, and I'm kinda scared of her, but she said she'd try and come to the wedding, so I'm excited! I bet she'll come! Hi-kun said he'd come, and Daisuke-nii-san said he'd send someone so that Meru-chin doesn't try and kill people. I wonder why that'd happen… Oh well! I'm just glad everything worked out.

I was able to meet up with a bunch of the other Jinchuuriki too! I already met Sai-kun and Kazu-kun. And Kiyo-nii-san and Kokuo-san. But now I know Daiki-kun and Chomei-san from Kumo. And I sorta, but don't know really well, Naru-chan and Matatabi-san. They weren't around much. Daisuke-nii-san and Tatsuo-nii-san were super nice, though. I dun think I liked Isobu much, and I know Son Gokun made Hachi-jii grumpy. But other than that, it was super fun. But… I wonder what happened with Miya-chan… I couldn't really stick around after she died cuz I had a mission to complete. So I guess she's gettinga new host? I hope I like the newest one. I know that it was super hard for me to get used to having Hachi-jii inside of me, so I bet she'll be having a hard time. And Hachi-jii says that Shu-kun is the worst Bijuu cuz he always drives his hosts crazy. I'm glad that I dun have /him/ inside me!
I guess it was gonna happen eventually? But I still dun really wanna think about it… Miya-chan is gone now :( And so Shu-jii is in a different person. Fu-chan is a bit strange. I dun get her. She likes to wear make up and do weird shows. I guess she and Zankun get along super well, since they're on a team. They call themselves 'The Troubadours' or something. I forget who they have as a captain. At least me 'n Jiro-kun are still on the same team. I dunno if they'd ever split us up, though. That'd be super silly of them, cuz we're a super epic team.
I won! And they lost~ But I dunno what else was supposed to happen. Kuo-kun's questions were all weird. Stuff about what happened and who dun what. Except there was a buncha other stuff that happened, and I think that Rikkun got all the questions right. *Huff* I won 'gainst Rikkun and all the others. I managed to kill Kuo-kun, so how come I gotta keep on answering all these questions? The winner should get a reward! Right? We get rewards if we do missions right. I jus' want some mochi or something. 's not much t' ask fer… *HUFF*
I got called into Itami-chan's office, and she and Kuo-kun were there! I guess they wanted t' talk t' me about how when I followed after Ayumu-san, I saw a buncha people with him like the Roushi twins and a samurai and Hanpa-san. It was so long ago that I dun remember much, though… Anyway, cuz of that, Kuo-kun is making me train my mind a bunch. He got a buncha cards that were super super big! And then I had t' run around and flip 'em over t' see if they were a match. And if they weren't, I just have t' keep on running around. And I got treats sometimes, but I wouldn't always get 'em because otherwise I'd run outta time. And then Kuo-kun took all his candy away D: I was sad :( And then we trained a bit more, but he changed it so that there were four corners and none of the cards were in the same corner, so I had to keep going back and forth between all'a them. It wasn't very fun, either, cuz there weren't even any treats! *HUFF*

I met this Hayato called Hiro-kun! He's super friendly, and he has mochi! I like him a bunch! He said that I could have mochi whenever I visit him, so I get a buncha mochi fer free now! Also, he has a super fun falcon partner called Ten-kun! Ten-kun is super funny, and I like him. 'cept yesterday he pulled on my hair :( That hurt! So I got him back by not letting him sit on Hiro-kun's shoulder! Haha! Also, Ten-kun met some other bird and he's gonna have mini-Tenshi! Hiro-kun said that maybe I could have a mini-Tenshi, too! I'm super excited! I hope I can get one soon. He's gonna be super cute and fluffy and cute! I hope Hachi-jii likes him too. He says he's super grumpy about it, but I bet he's super excited too.
There's this creepy cult that are obsessed with the sun. I dun get why they like the sun so much. They like the sun so much that they give up blood from kids to it! I dun think the sun really likes it or anything, though, cuz it's still super hot in Suna and super cold at night. Not much changed. Me 'n Fu-chan found their hideout place first, and then I made a sketch of it and stuff. And then we went back t' Suna and I fergot about it until we had t' get the Daimyo's son back. I dunno why they took him. It's kinda silly if you take a Daimyo's son. After all, there's definitely gonna be shinobi following you, so if you want yer plans t' be secret, then they should've kidnapped someone less important like they been doing up 'til now. Anyway, we had to go and save the kid, but me 'n Fu-chan got super hurt because there was a Sushi-cone there who made all the air turn into crystals and then poke us full of holes D: I managed to get out mostly unscathed cuz of Hachi-jii, but Fu-chan didn't look so good. And then the bad guys got away! D: When I see them next time, I'm gonna get them for sure! >:|

That stupid cult group that worships the sun killed Fu-chan! I'm gonna make them pay for it. They're gonna regret everything they done up til now, if it's the last thing I do… They seem t' want me now. I s'pose I shoulda warned everyone… I thought Fu-chan would have been safer if we were out the pyramid, but it turns out going inside was prolly what we shoulda done. Or maybe Ma-kun should've gone inside with Jiro-kun and Shin-kun instead of Sou-san. What if that would've kept Fu-chan alive? Those baka are definitely going to pay for this… They're not just going to die. I'll be sure to make them suffer.
Yayyy, I have new friends! Ten-kun had a bunch of babies with this one female falcon, and she had a bunch of mini-Ten-kuns! I'm super excited! They look really weird now that they all hatched, though. Hiro-kun said that I could keep one of them if I wanted to! I dun think Hachi-jii would like it very much, but I dun care! I can keep him under control cuz we had a deal! Yus, we had a deal, and if he doesn't stick to it, then I'm gonna be super mad at him! Very very mad! *GRUMP* Oh, but we think we figured out a new trick! I hope I c'n get it down so that maybe he won't be so grumpy.
I'm sooooo booooooored… Super super bored! The 'ministration won't let me do anything exciting cuz of the Storm Brigade threat that's happening everywhere but Suna! *HUUFFFF* I'm grumpy! I wanna do something fun. Like a couple weeks ago, me 'n Jiro-kun went to Fuuma Alley. We sorta snuck away, but… We were super bored! And on the way we met this weirdo. I dun remember his name very well, but he called Hachi-jii cute cuz Hachi-jii was in a mouse-form. Oh! I should share the trick!
The trick is that Hachi-jii can put a bit of himself in the chakra that I use t' make Ink Creatures, so then he gets a body he c'n control. More chakra means he c'n get a bigger body, too. Except we both prefer smaller things so that he dun have to walk around and so I c'n keep an eye on him. It's super cool! I think I made Hachi-jii less grumpy, too!
Ooh, also! Ten-kun thought Hachi-jii was food! I was laughing a bunch, really, but Hachi-jii was super mad. He was 'bout t' 'tack Ten-kun, too D: I didn't want that, so I had to interfere before anything happened. I dunno what would've happened, but everything was ok. And then Hiro-kun said he would take me on an exciting mission! So I get t' look forward to that!

Okie! T'day I talked to Itami-chan about some things! I dunno why I thought it was a good idea, but I wanted t' see if she would promote me 'n Jiro-kun. So I asked her! I jus' went over to her office 'n asked her! And then I told her why I thought I should get promoted, but I didn't really have a buncha reasons. She actually made up a bunch of them. I think she convinced herself that it was a good idea. Hachi-jii didn't believe it would work, but he was pretty happy with stuff, so… I guess now me 'n Jiro-kun are Chuunin! Super awesome! I dunno if that'll change all that much, though… But still! It should be better! Also, me 'n Hiro-kun are gonna work t'gether more! I think it'll be more fun cuz I c'n actually leave on my own, but I think Hiro-kun will accompany me a bunch more.
Suna was attacked by these guys that call themselves the Storm Brigade! It all started off as this biiiiiig storm that sorta looked like a normal sandstorm, but when we went out to go 'n save people, we got attacked! I wasn't hurt too much, but Itami-chan got really hurt during it all! D: I had t' use a lotta Hachi-jii's power to take care of the enemy, too. It was super hard to get them, but I did! We managed to kick them outta the Land of Wind, but not before they decided t' try and flood Suna. The village has a buncha water in it now! I tried to stop some of it by turning into Hachi-jii, but I was only able to save a part of Suna. :( *pout* But at least I got 'em good, I hope! Grr… I hope they dun come back!
Update - I talked to this one Leaf Ninja who said that Konoha's been having issues with the Brigade too! So I talked to Itami-chan, and she said I could go with Jiro-kun and Hiro-kun to talk to all the villages and see what we c'n do! I'm excited!
I spoke t' Itami-chan a bit, and she approved me t' go 'n talk t' all the other villages about the Storm Brigade stuff! So me 'n Hiro-kun and Jiro-kun are gonna head off t' Iwa first, and then we'll head t' the Land of Lightning, then Tea, then I guess either Fire or Kiri. Dunno which. Sorta depends, I guess! Buuuut, that's the plan! First, though, I gotta help with all the flooding 'n stuff. Hachi-jii had a bunch fun, I think. Or he plans t'. We're gonna make super big holes t' try and make it so that Takeo-nii-san has a place t' put all the water. Oh! Takeo-nii-san is a Kumo-nin, but he 'pparently used t' have Isobun in him. That's super interesting, I guess… I wonder how he survived, though. Mebbe I should ask him about it sometime later :|a
Iwa didn't really have a reason t' care about the Storm Brigade. They said that they would help if they had reason t', but they dun right now. I guess that makes sense. Suna was sorta the same way, even. So then we visited Kumo, and apparently one of their ninja is missing! I can't believe the Brigade might've taken someone D: I hope that ninja of theirs is okie… Suna said that we'd help them as much as we could, and Nari-chan said that she would send some people to help Suna with its flood stuff! Super nice!
And then after we visited Shuu-kun. He said that he had a plan, sorta. Or at least, Kiri did. I dunno, I forget at this point, but he told us t' head to Kiri and help them out with the plan, so we went there next! Ishi-kun gave us these weird black things that he said were trackers, so I sent some t' Kumo and Ishi-kun said he was gonna head t' Iwa. I guess our own stop will be Konoha while he heads that way.

Her best friend. Jiro always worries about her, and she always worries about him. They seem to have the same skill-level, so they'll often train. She looks forward to the day they can both be genin on the same team. That way she can watch his back, and he can watch hers.
Stand My Ground by Within Temptation
Arika is constantly fighting the Bijuu for control of her body. It's always with her, even if it's sleeping. Eventually, Arika needs to face the Eight Tails for control. But until she's able to win, she can at least stand her ground.
Things We Lost in the Fire by Bastille
Maybe it wasn't fire, but there were a lot of things Arika lost to the sand. When the One-Tail attacked her village, she lost her home and family. And now all of them are but a memory. In order to hold onto the memories, she will continue to actively remember what she lost.
