The Land of the Earth, home of war-mongering buffoons, prideful men who think too highly of themselves. This is where the journey of Murasame Ryujin, son of Murasame Akira and Yuna, began. He was raised as any Murasame, to strive to be the best. Nothing else would do, and so, from a child, Ryujin pushed himself to be the best. The looks given to failures of the Murasame clan, the punishment… It seemed overly harsh. It was something he wouldn't allow himself to go through.
Ryujin's mother always taught him to play nice, be kind to others as he would wish for them to be to him, accept their faults, which seemed like one great contradiction when he watched how those who fell behind were treated. He didn't want it to happen to him, so he pushed himself until he couldn't push anymore, and then he kept pushing. He had to be strong in the Murasame way. This, however, left his skill in Genjutsu rather lacking. He completed what he needed to know for basic training in Genjutsu, but left it behind after that, focusing completely on his Ninjutsu and Taijutsu skills. By the time he was nine years old, he was recognized as a Genin. Through his hard work and dedication, he developed a strong style of fighting, combining Metal Manipulation and other Ninjutsu with physical prowess to stand out as a shinobi. By the time he was eleven, he was promoted to the rank of Chuunin, just another stepping stone in his path.
When the wars began, Ryujin was more than willing to fight, but his clan didn't want to send him off to war just yet, unsure of whether he would come back alive. Instead, they had him stay behind and mold weapons for them. He spent a solid two years making weapons behind the scenes, which was actually good training for a Murasame. He learned to make perfectly balanced weapons, weapons that were enormous but light. In this time, he was also able to observe the training of some of the younger, less experienced members of the clan. When he had to watch the weaker ones get treated like dirt and have their clan abilities sealed from them forever, it made him sick to his stomach. Just because they were weak, that didn't mean they were worthless…
When finally allowed to join the battles at fourteen, Ryujin made a point to fight with all his heart. He made his own specialized weapon, a shining white cane with a sword hidden inside. The way he fought with it, he would always flicker when using it, never allowing a single person to see his perfect weapon, never telling anyone that it was anything more than a cane. Battle and work had made him strong, made his muscles large. This, combined with rumors of his skill in battle, made him quite popular among girls, and even some women, of Iwagaure. Due to his favorite weapon being formed in the fashion of a cane, there were even jokes of him being a pimp.
In the same years that he was allowed to participate in the wars, Ryujin became recognized as a Jounin by Iwagakure, but, perhaps more importantly, also a Kyuuseishu of the Murasame. He was even thrown a party because of his achievements. Yet… The day after this celebration, he witnessed a young lady of his clan being stripped of her Kekkei Genkai. She was too weak, they said. She wasn't good enough for them. After devoting her entire life to them, she had it all taken away in a moment, and then… She leapt from a cliff. All he could do was watch in disbelief as one of his own clan members took her own life. This… was the last straw. He couldn't take being a part of this clan or this village anymore…
When he went back to battle the next day, Ryujin seemed as destructive and powerful as ever. However, he also seemed to be get overzealous. He made so many kills, but it seemed he was getting more careless with each one. Finally, he met four enemy shinobi up close and personal. Explosions rang out, smoke filling the entire area around him as he battled them, yet… When the smoke faded, he was gone, seemingly incinerated by the powerful jutsu of the enemy shinobi…
Actually, however, Ryujin sent a clone to met the massive torrent of jutsu, and he had flickered out of the area. With this, he was out of the battle and well on his way to a new life, free of the Murasame and Iwagakure. He began his life as a wandering blacksmith, selling weapons he made to armies and villages. As word spread of his talent, he began to acquire richer and richer clients. This, of course, led to him making finer and finer weapons and being able to make a lot of money off of them.
Now, at seventeen, Ryujin wanders the countries as a wealthy young blacksmith, seeking out and being sought out by clients. For now, he is on his way to Kumogakure to see what business he can conduct there.
