Nakamura Takumi is a ninja from the Land of Wind. Raised as a healer, he came to Sunagakure for the stability after the war, and to find somewhere to live with a purpose.

Nakamura Takumi was born and raised in a small town near what is now known as Sunagakure. His father could be considered a ninja, though he studied mainly in healing and defensive arts. Being raised by a healer, Takumi was taught the knowledge of medical jutsu by his father. Since medical emergencies required one to be quick, yet efficient, Takumi was drilled from a very young age in the correct way to mold chakra, until it became second nature. As one of the few true healers in town, Takumi's father was away often on missions of mercy, both for the common villager, and the occasional ninja mercenary. The constant occupation of his father away from home, and the near-endless needs put upon his family, Takumi began to manifest a slight resentment towards strangers. He began to see strangers as walking needs that took his family away from him at all hours, and put their problems upon him to fix. Although he had these feelings buried inside, Takumi's friendly personality managed to stay strong. Even as he tended to avoid people if he could, Takumi would never outright refuse to help, and if social attempts were made toward him, he would glady, if awkwardly, return them.

As conflict in the world escalated, the Nakamura family tried to stay back from the majority of the hostilities, attemping to remain a force purely of defense and assistance. Eventually strife became too common, and Takumi's father reluctantly began to train him in the combat arts, and allowed him to learn from the more aggressive ninja that were willing. During a mission of sorts, very close to the village, the Nakamura patriarch was killed in action. This tragedy instilled a belief in Takumi that he will eventually become part of this combat, and if he must fight, he would rather do it away from the village on his terms, and not by an ambush in his own home. Still technically a child, what would be a genin or student today, Takumi began to tag along with mercenary bands of ninja to help them on their missions and learn more about being a true ninja.

Managing to survive through many skimishes during the height of the clan wars, the Nakamura youth gained much experience and learned the various secrets of ninjutsu and tactics. Over time he graduated, in the eyes of his peers, from a useful kid they kept around, to a proper fellow ninja. After the great war had cooled, Takumi returned home, and eventually migrated with his town to the safer, and more centralized Sunagakure that had been created. In Sunagakure he joined the sand ninja proper, and due to his performance and training during the war, was given the rank of Chuunin, and given his official flak jacket.

Personality

Withdrawn, but not a loner. Sees people as the potential problems they will ask him to fix. Is not that great with people, and prefers things that have solid solutions, like known medical procedures or set objectives. Tends to move through situations with a certain detatchment, and occasional absent-mindedness.
