Reizei Ogosokamaru was born in the Land of Lightning in the Reizei Village almost two decades before the formation of the Hidden Villages. After leaving his clan to work for the Daimyo, he met with Uchiha Rainos. Ogo worked as a bodyguard more than anything, but after Rainos' death and the later dissolving of the Takukojin, Ogosokamaru came to Kumogakure, requesting that he be allowed into their ranks as a shinobi. He's since then made the rank of Jounin, gotten a team and is working to keep Kumogakure as one of the most powerful hidden villages.
Background
When Reizei Ogosoka was born into the Reizei clan, there was still the wake of the passing of one of their eldest members, and great drandfather to the new child. Reizei Ogosoka was the previous clan leader and eldest surviving member of the clan until his death the night before the child was birthed. When the child came to open his eyes upon those present, the same calm and dignified and majestic gaze befell anyone who joined eyes with the baby boy. This reason was the same for the name of the previous head of the clan, Ogosokamaru, literally translating to 'Dignified or Majestic'. Thus was donned this name to the child.
Throughout his entire young life he never got angered. Never cried as a babe but crooned, letting his mother and father know when he was hungry, wanting attention, or tired and wished to be held. In his adolescent years, no matter the problems between himself and the other children, he always stepped back from the conflict only to sometimes become the scape goat for pent up frustrations of some of the other, more powerful children of the clan. Upon his tenth birthday, as was customary at that time, he recieved his first weapon
As many other children recieved wooden bokken or a shinai for their first weapon, Ogosoka recieved a steelcrafted Tanto of the straight bladed variety. This only brought him more frustrations with the other children as his training was strictly overseen and closely watched, so he did not injure himself or others. Where children his age would run around the small encampment of those few families in this specific settlement of the Reizei clan, he could not draw his weapon except in defense of his own life. This made the addition of dodging and evading attacks a specialty of his. 'If they cannot hit me, I have no reason to fear for my life, or a reason to counterattack.' This was his personal mantra until the age of thirteen. His true sword was forged by a man from a clan in a far off nation, riddled with craggy outcroppings and craggy cravasses of rock. The Land of Stone. The man really had no name that he himself could remember(But called himself Takka), as he had been alone for the last ten years, and spoke to very few people. Ogosoka saved the man's life by drawing his weapon, and killing the wolf that stalked the man who slept. When Ogosokamaru lay the dead wolf carcass next to the fire, the man awoke, and looked at the situation.
He thanked him, by using a skill only known to his clan. Metal Manipulation. Takka was a travelling weaponsmith, and ran away when the Daimyo over his land had forced him to make many weapons by holding his wife and daughter captive. Takka heard of their demise even after the order was filled, and fled the country. Now, the last time he vowed to ever make a weapon of his own free will, was for Ogosokamaru.
The sword was Ogosokamaru's main weapon from that day forth. A straight bladed katana. Three feet in length was the blade, and the handle another foot in itself. A beautiful masterpiece of craftsmanship. 'That sword,' Takka said to Ogo, 'Use it only for your own protection, and that of those weaker than you. For the weak need both protection, and the tutoring to do so themselves.'
At that time, Ogo understood what Takka meant, but was more interested that he had his weapon before most of his friends. The gift was accepted, and the two stayed up all night talking about families and home, and hope for purity in the world. When Ogosokamaru awoke, Takka was gone, as was the wolf carcass. But the sword stayed by his side. Little did he know what that sword held something that would surely cause a ruckus should it be known.
Then he will learn the name of his sword. Keibatsu. Judgement.
As time went on, and when Ogosokamaru turned the age of fifteen, he wished to leave his clan's encampment and at the begrudgement of his older brother and his father (Who by this time was the clan head), he made his way to the south, making his name known in that region for himself working under the Diamyo at the southernmost edge of the mountanous terrain of the Land of Lightning. Here he fought for two years, and achieved the rank of Captain very quickly. When there, he ran the platoon of the most highly skilled warriors. But something happened shortly after he turned fifteen. He caught wind of the Diamyo making arrangements with a country with which they were at war. This made no sense to Ogo when he was sent with merely his platoon (They were usually supported by one or two more platoons) by itself to the edge of the Diamyo's lands, and left there to ultimately die. This realization came when a 'clean up crew' was also sent in, but the Diamyo didn't expect Ogosokamaru and his men to survive at all that long when the man named Rainos and his three followers arrived. Ogosokamaru realized the truth behind the matter after a conversation with Rainos, and returned to the lands occupied by the Diamyo. While he ate and was merry, Ogosoka made a vow, that never will he or anyone who follows him be tricked into a death sentence of purposeless war. After that, he spent some time with Rainos to learn what that man had on his mind, and get away from his clan and the Diamyo for a while.
When it came time of a year afterward, Ogo thought it the time to return home to rejoin his family. When he returned, it was to a loving family and accepting clan, as he had returned home safely. The next three years passed without strife, save the normal hiring of the clan to do some work for a local lord. Ogo swallowed his pride and helped his clan where he was needed. But when the time came that other clans of the region wanted to band together just like Konohagakure to the south and east had, Ogo had his own thoughts about that.
As the clans around the area currently known as Kumogakure came together to form the village, Ogosokamaru couldn't help but to think that it was for someone else's benifit that those 'loose' ties between clans be solidified as they were, and the village formed. This was unacceptable. But his namesake, hsi great grandfather, twenty two years before (This happened when Ogosoka was twenty-two, and a Jounin), what would he have done?
Ogosoka did the only thing he could think of. He left. No better way to stop conflict from happening than to walk away. His battle prowess was unquestioned within his own clan. But why make your own clan an enemy when they have done nothing wrong except be blinded by false words and fruitless hopes of a better future for a village built on a foundation of lies? Ogosokamaru left his parents, his older brother, and his younger sister in the newly built village, and went off to seek his own life away from lies and deciet.
His older brother caught up to him, and told him to return home. Ogosoka would not give up his quest for his ideals. To prove such, he cut off the last joint of his pinkey finger on his right hand (he's left handed), and tossed it bloodied to his brother, to let everyone know that he was then, dead. Or at least dead to the clan. His brother accepted, and after a hug, that would be the last time that Ogosokamaru would see his brother's face, and he hadn't even said goodbye to his sister, so that she may know the comfort of hating him instead of missing him. And now, Ogosokamaru has rejoined with his former comrade Rainos, and the two continue on their journeys.
Odo was the second in command for the Takukojin after the death of Uchiha Rainos. Afterwards, Odo spent the next year or two trying to lead the group to the victories Rainos had envisioned for them alongside his rival, Uchiha Tessen. Odo was unable to continue the legacy bestowed upon him by Rain, and disbanded what he knew of the Takukojin under his command, and sought his own endeavors.
In one mission for some money, Odo was struck by a strange sealing jutsu that had an odd side effect. It robbed his lifeforce of ten years. Basically rewinding the clock on his body, and leaving him looking likehis sixteen year old self. But the true effect sealed away his capability to focus his chakra and therefore, fouled any chances of transformation or ninjutsu for the next several months. When Odo finally caught up with the man who placed the seal on him and killed him, the seal on Odo's back did not dissappear. Only when Odo was able to find another master of seals, could he get the seal on his back removed. Now, he is stuck as his teen self, with stark white hair and a bit of a different demeanor.
Ogosokamaru has become the head nin of Kumogakure pending the problems that have arisen during a time frame without a Raikage. Unofficially dubbed this title by the Daimyo of the Land of Lightning following Ogo's actions to help quell the problems in Kumogakure, he awaits the decision of the Elders and the Daimyo on the choice of the Second Raikage.
Ogo has a hard time making friends. There is a reason for this, throughout his life he's survived by himself, and the synapses that dictate friends never really fired off except for those in his family that he could trust. He has an even harder time pushing past making friends with females to even attempting any romantic stuff. Several times he has tried, and one thing or another has ended the relationship in some sort of abrupt and painful end, be it his own fault or just plain bad luck, which has recently regressed him to his unique… behavior.
Appearance
He has white pearlescent hair that lays down in lazy spikes or tufts. He stands at 5'7" tall (170cm) with a lean body type. His eyes are golden in color, and his skin has a light tan to it showing he spends a good bit of time in the sunlight, or he is naturally tanned.%r%tHis attire consists of a pearl white vest, charcoal grey hakuma (samurai pants), with black weathered sandals and a loose-fitting off-white jacket.

Journal
When Ogosokamaru was younger, 14 years of age, he was walking by his brother's home to his fathers quarters out in the back of their land, where his father spent a lot of time thinking and being alone. He overheard a conversation between his eldest brother and his uncle hatching a plot (or midway through) to kill his father, but the time wasn't right.
When he brought it up to his father, he was not believed due to the respect his eldest brother and uncle had within the clan. Ogosokamaru at that point ran away from home. He went to work for the Diamyo of the Land of Lightning directly. While in his charge, he was a captain for a platoon in the Diamyo's forces, but that's another journal entry.
A couple years later, Ogo received word wherever he was to return home, as his father was summoning him. When he returned, the villages were on the brink of creation, and his father didn't wish for the Reizei to join, as the Saito would sieze a higher position, and the Yotsuki would take full control as Kage. Ogosokamaru supported his father's decision fully, but others did not.
The plot to kill Ogo's father came fully through so Ogo's eldest brother would sieze control of the clan and change the decision to join Kumogakure. At this time, Ogosokamaru then left once again, claiming never to return.
When Ogosokamaru was working for the Daimyo before the Villages were created (approx 1 year before), he and his platoon were sent on a suicide mission without their knowledge. The only reason he and some of his platoon members survived was because a group of three, including Uchiha Rainos, were present, and offered their aid with the knowledge or intuition that Odo was indeed on a suicide mission.
On a side note, Ogosokamaru had earned the nickname 'Odosu' from his platoon members. Odosu translates into 'threat' or 'dangerous'. It was shortened to 'Odo', since his original nickname was 'Ogo', a shortening of his given name.
When the aftermath was viewed, Odo would learn that he was sent on this mission purposefully by the nephew of the Diamyo's general. The reasoning will be explained in the next journal entry. The end result was Ogosokamaru killing the general's nephew (who was a tactical captain, and sent Odo and his men on said suicide mission) in self defense. He was discharged immediately from the armies of the Diamyo, but nothing else was extended as his punishment. Just discharge.
After this, he met with Rainos once again, and after this he became the second in command of the Takukojin after a year. At that same time, he recieved the word that his father was summoning him for support in the decision of staying unaligned with the newly forming Kumogakure. He returned after that to the Takukojin.
He met with many people, allocated funds and moved cargo for the Takukojin, but never directly participated in any criminal actions, even given he was of the top three in power and combat prowess to include Uchiha Rainos and Uchiha Tessen. Nevertheless, he was a member, acquired funds (legally) and supplies (legally) for the organization.
When Rainos died, Odo and Tessen had it out for leadership, but neither could keep control of the group individually, and with that split, the remnants (Once called 'Hanpa') of the takukojin spread to the winds and dispersed throughout the world.
The previous journal entry included a note about why Ogo was discharged from service in the Diamyo's army.
This is about Odo's love life.
Yes, it's always a touchy subject, no pun intended. Let's start with his first love.
While in the service for the Diamyo, on a weekend pass Odo was out with some of his platoon members and he met a girl who was quiet, intelligent, and very willing to stand her ground. Even under circumstances that would cause bodily harm to herself, she was willing to protect what was dear to her. Her name was Yunanari.
When she and Odo first met, it was a walk in the fields that her father tended. Immediately afterward, he went to her house and stood outside awaiting her father to come out and greet him. It didn't happen.
It took three weekends of Odo standing outside their house waiting for him to come out and greet him and invite him into his home. When he finally did come out, Odo requested that he could court his daughter.
Thus came the tea ceremonies. It became a weekly tradition between the two. They never had anything physical happen, but the emotional attraction that came with the talks they shared, all sitting at the table. Odo never took the chance to stay without her father there. If he got up to go to bed, Odo would take his leave as not to impose and give any hint that what he wanted was physical. Even if she was a beautiful young woman.
This same girl was also doted on by the nephew of a prominent colonel in the Diamyo's army. When, after four months of the tea ceremonies, the nephew found out about Odo and Yunanari's courting (with the support and approval of her father), the colonel's nephew grew enraged when she declined his advances.
In an attempt to kill off Odo, the colonel's nephew sent he and his platoon on a no-return mission behind the Diamyo's back. Keeping information from him so the mission would be approved and carried out. In the time that Odo and group were out, half dead and getting closer to a permanent bed of dirt, the Colonel's nephew took Yunanari awa from her father's home, and put her in the Diamyo's castle with himself.
When Odo returned, he confronted the nephew, and right in front of Odo, he killed Yunanari, "If I can't have her, neither will you" is the phrase she heard last before she died. Odo's rage and the information from his remaining platoon members to the Diamyo about the misinformation of the mission proved that the killing of the Colonel's nephew was far more than founded, but he could not keep Odo among his ranks for such an act of violence. So he merely discharged him from his ranks, and Odo left to find Rainos once again.
Now, as things went, as Odo was with the Takukojin, he met a girl named Uchiha Narusegawa. While their ages were far from close, he saw her as somewhat of a younger sister (Odo's younger sister, Yunataru, was usually sickly, and needed his care, so he had a soft spot for Naru as well). As Naru progressed, he saw that she was going to be more than able to fight for herself. When a strange thing happened, and Odo was the victim of a strange sealing jutsu, a mistake was made, and somehow the jutsu malfunctioned and forced Odo's body to revert ten years.
Now things get interesting.
Though, any feelings Odo had kept to himself and concealed, any time he let her know of any feelings he had since the change, she denied them, or declined them. At least that's how Odo saw it.
Seven years A.F., Odo met with Ei. Another quasi-member of the Takukojin, or at least a follower of a couple of the members. Ei had come to Kumogakure later on after Odo had been instated as a shinobi for a safe place to stay. I won't go any further, but after Odo began having some sort of feeling for Ei, she left with a former Jounin Medic named Shuuren to go to a newly made village for wanderers and merchants and village-less snihobi. Odo still awaits her return.
Ogo's sister, Yunataru, was sickly most of her life. As Ogo was traveling with the Takukojin, he made frequent clandestine visits to her to bring her midication and rare herbs to aide her in her ailment. Only after six years of bringing her those rarities did she finally overcome her sickness. As well, Odo brought some of the herbs to help with the illness that befell the Raikage, Takahashi Raiko. This shows that even after everything, leaving and not being a part of the village from the start, and even a member of a group that was against villages, he still had respect for the village and it's members.
Though, when Odo returned to the village to be a permanent member, his brother spoke with him once, and only once, on the subject of their father. He was aggrivated that he took so much of a chance letting Ogo leave the second time, and even going so far as to lie to everyone that Ogo was dead, with the last joint of his right pinkey cut off and brought up as evidence of the only surviving part of his body so Ogo could freely roam with the group, never to return. When Ogo did return, his brother informed him that if anything ever came up about how their father died, he would indeed take the life of their sister without hesitation.
Ogo agreed only so far as if he weren't the one to bring it up, then it was no longer within their agreement, and he would defend his sister even after death. Ogo is still trying to figure out how to get the word out without his sister's life being threatened directly. And it's a rough road for him.
A major fight between Ogosokamaru and Masahiro, and the dreaded Maikeru. The fight went far quicker than expected, but still much longer than hoped for. It was arduous, life threatening, and frightening. One of a couple times Ogo experienced petrifying fear. Masahiro saved Ogo's life while Ogo was within the literal grasp of one of Maikeru's techniques by continuing the assault, which in turn ended both the lives of Maikeru and Masahiro.
Being the only one to survive, after the Nin from the Land of Demons left Ogo to himself with only a small boat and a day's worth of rations, he made a three day trek back to Kumogakure with both bodies. The worst three days of his life just about. On the brink of death, Ogo managed to even carry Masahiro's body to his son's home in the Saito village. Armed only with Masahiro's sword that he could not wield as a Reizei, and a note from Masahiro, the unity of the Reizei and Saito clans after this was a precedent set in the history books of Kumogakure for moving forward and becoming more of the mindset of one village, one goal.
Ogosokamaru's brother as well, was ousted for his actions in history of killing the previous clan head, his own father, and escaped into the wilderness of the Land of Lightning, leaving Ogo's middle brother to lead the Clan with a level head and a firm hold on sanity, giving him a good place beside the new Saito Clan head, Masahiro's own son. What a day.
Ogosokamaru had returned to Kumogakure after the epic battle between the three, and was immediately hospitalized when he finally agreed to go to the hospital. Upon being kept at the hospital an extra day, he was roomed with someone who was only supposed to be temporarily awake from a comatose state by drugs and medicine.
Yotsuki Kioshi. Former member of Ogosokamaru's platoon during his time working for the Diamyo. Now Kioshi is trying to get Ogo to become more like he was militaristically from back then, but be more of a… human being of sorts. While Kioshi didn't want to stay in the hospital bound to a wheelchair, the wheelchair couldn't be fixed, but the hospitalization could! So, Ogo wheeled his old comrade right out of the front doors of the hospital. That, and Oshiro, Masahiro's grandson, has now been out and about and more social. Or at least more publicly visible.
Kioshi, Ogo's long time comrade from his time working under the Diamyo, had offered the idea that Ogo not sit around and wait while Ei were out and about at Jump and other places. While talking, Kioshi let's Ogo know that we only have one life to live, thus causing Ogosokamaru to run off to find Ei as fast as he can.
Two days later after running nonstop only other than checking local towns and fishing villages for her on her way back to Kumo, the next stop was Kadomai. Luckily, Ei and Shuuren were travelling together. When Ogo was maybe fifty yards from the front gate, he passes out with only a few words telling Ei that he was looking specifically for her. Medical examination on the spot by Shuuren denoted that Ogo had ran for days at a time and even across countries. So they drug him so he doesn't get all haywire when Ei's reaction might not be what he expected when he wakes up, and he'll at least sleep to regain strength, and wake up in some place familiar like his own home.
When Ogo wakes up, it's not a pretty picture of the next set of conversations he and Ei have, and a falling out occurs. Ogo goes off to the exams immediately after that, to Kirigakure, heading there with Kynshin and speaking to Kioshi before he leaves.
Right when Ogosokamaru gets to the exams, he picks up his scroll, and! …nothing. His name being on the roster has put a murmer through people's ears and minds. Some know him, others might know -of- him. And some just might have no clue, but are sticking to themselves. It's a while until Ogo sees anyone at all, and it's not good when he does. A healer named Tadashi healing a Konohagakure Nin named Narusegawa. Ogo tried his hardest not to freak out when he saw her like that, helpless and wounded. After asking whodunit, Tadashi pointed Ogo in the direction of two Kiri nin whom he has searched and searched for up until this point and not found.
Also, some strange hermit female who has taken up residency of some sort in the examination area was there. In an attempt to secure himself into the third round, Ogosokamaru verbally demanded her scroll. After a little tussle, Ogo was able to defeat her to the point she gave up her scroll to prevent further damages and injury, and Ogo moved on.
Odo has also met and reunited with an old friend who attempted to join him at the Takukojin a few years ago. A Hyuuga by the name of Hiroshi. They met, sat down at the ruins, had a talk, then ran off trying to find those two that Ogo has now told Hiroshi about that did a terrible thing to Naru. So now they, too, are hunting a pair of Kiri nin, and by this time Naru would be well enough to go after them herself.
Ogosokamaru was recently put in charge of a team of Genin. He's got a few things to learn himself about teaching people, but he's slowly coming around. Hiei, the yotsuki with a lot of potential. Hiroyasu, the medical monk with not a hair on his head. And Misaki. The two-tails Jinchuuriki. Ogo and she also have a history, he told her that her parents had left, when in fact both he and she know only a lie, when the truth was that they were killed. Will they ever find out? Time will tell. THe team's first real assignment was to go to Konohagakure as emmissaries, and while there they've met some new friends and made hopefully lifelong acquaintences with the hopeful future ally of Konohagakure.
There is a picture that they have had taken, luckily a botanist was taking pictures in the gardens of Konohagakure when they were standing there, and he needed a test shot. So ultimately they got a very good shot for free. Or a horrible shot for free.
Ogosokamaru standing behind three shorter ninja. Two boys and one girl. The boy on the left is bald, and is being noogied by the girl, while at the same time the girl is craning her neck to the right to kiss the cheek of the other boy. Slightly comical, but a one in a million shot to get that moment in time, Hiei's facial reaction to the sudden kiss, Hiroyasu squirming under the knuckles on his skull, and Misaki causing all the havoc. And calm, stoic Ogosokamaru in the background just behind the three troublemakers.
The only picture that now rests with the other two in that book, on the shelf by itself in Ogosokamaru's house.
(Speaking of pictures from the previous journal entry)
For the longest time, Ogo had a book on a shelf in his house within which was a couple of pictures. Faded and yellowed with time, the pictures show a girl in one. Yellow ribbon in her hair and beautiful, happy eyes looking at who is taking the picture. We can only assume it is Ogosokamaru. The second picture shows a much darker scenario. A young Ogosokamaru, probably mid-teens (the first time), standing next to a farmhouse, looking away and up to the sky with a yellow ribbon in his hand, and in the foreground was a grave marker with a name inscribed on it. The same name, Yunanari, that was signed on a note of love and affection on the back of the picture of the girl. One can do the simple math of what happened.
It has now taken Ogo nearly fifteen years to accept that she's gone and he will never see her again. A very long time. Probably because he now has another picture there in that same book tucked just inside the back cover.
Maybe this team is the best thing to happen to him since that tragedy so long ago.
