Maneshi Odori Sumiya. Hey dere. I was kind of an orphan, that is until I got picked up by Uncle Takeshi. Selfless to a fault, Uncle Takeshi decided that it wasn't my time to starve to death, which was the path I had set upon and ordered me fed, clothed and bathed. After that, he marched me back to Kirigakure on his shoulder due to my weakness. This was a man who gave no heed to the warnings of his companions and simply wanted to help someone else. I am deeply indebted to Ojii-chan, deeply indebted. And that is why, daily, I strive my best to forget my past, the past memories of my family dying, of my subsequent outcast into being an orphan, of my subsequent battle for life on a day to day basis and instead focus on the here and the now, the future that Ojii-chan provided for me. As time went on, he continued to train me in harsher and harsher ways. But I knew it wasn't because Ojii-chan hated me or wished anything bad upon me, quite the opposite, it was because he wanted me to always be safe. After I was old enough and had learned my basic skills, he had the mizukage induct me into the village as a genin. I worked my butt off too for the village and eventually got promoted to chuunin, all the while my sword skills evolving as ojii-chan sparred with me and passed on the techniques in his family's books. Now that old man is retiring, which means I get to act out a bit more, but also means that they need a replacement for him. don't know that I can be that replacement, but i'm definitely gonna try.

Personality

Sumiya is deeply indebted to Takeshi and by extension the Kaguya clan and village of Kirigakure. She will serve the village with her entire life, everything that's left in here and everything she has but she values Takeshi above even her village. She's not ashamed of this and since she was trained by Takeshi, she's not phased by even the worst that Kirigakure has to offer - Trust her when she says Takeshi is worse than any of that. However, despite the strict regiment, he made her a fighter, he made her strong. She can take care of herself and others now, something she could never do.

She's in general very high strung and active, hyperactive really, and loud.

Appearance

A semi-tall girl with long black hair that comes down to the back of her knees, rolled up into a warrior's knot. Hey eyes a deep brown with an orange yellow tinge. In her hair are an adornment of beautiful hair pieces, a lacquered comb with flowers and a hairclip with beautiful pink flowers. She has a cute little button nose just above the thin line that constitutes her mouth. Also, cat ears! Maneshi features are poking through! And Tail!
Her clothes are a yukata, cut short and it ends just below her waist to show off some smooth, creamy white skin. Two tone purple knee highs stretch up to above her knees and are folded down, revealing the black interior. Ninja tabi are on her feet for quick and unobstructed movements. The sleeves of her yuakata feature a long extension below her wrists with flower patterns. Her shoulds are protected by conjoined plates like samurai armor. Across her waist is a giant green tie with a smaller blue bow tie for maximal cuteness.

Skills And Abilities

Odori Sword Arts
A style of swordsmanship passed down from one of Takeshi's forebearers in a book. It is an interesting mix of taijutsu and kenjutsu maneuvers that relies on dextrous and agile movements. This sword style can be most closely compared to a combination of Iai stance moves and Cho Dan stance moves.
