-22 B.F.: Yuri is born to two un-Clanned no-name parents in the Land of Water, during the Clan Wars.
-11 B.F.: Her parents won't let her roast marshmallows. They try to placate her by saying that they can do it the next time they go camping. Yuri locks the doors of her house and burns it down with her parents inside during the night.
January, -10 B.F.: Found by Kaguya Mitsuo after being shuttled around various orphanages and foster care parents. She is tested for aptitudes and scores high in intelligence and physical potential but nearly zero in psychological stability. She is perfect for Mitsuo's needs. He has her sent to a training facility where she is taught the finer arts of killing.
-4 B.F.: As part of her "cover" it is suggested that she have a "normal" life when she is not out fighting. Yuri gets married. She has her first child, a son, 9 months later.
-1 B.F.: Yuri masters the sword Nuibari and is named one of the Seven Swordsmen as the Clan Wars end. She has her second child nine and a half months later, a daughter.
1 A.F.: Kirigakure is formed. Yuri paves the way by infiltrating and "disposing of" dissidents in the Land of Water. Though assigned to watch the Mizukage and nominally one who answers to the Water Daimyou, Yuri is more interested in the "games" that Mitsuo lets her play than in spying on the one who found her and taught her how to play such games to begin with.
4 A.F.: The war over the Land of Waves occurs. Yuri is kept in reserve in Kirigakure in the event of an attack, much to her disappointment.
5 A.F.: The Mizukage vanishes. Yuri suspects foul play. The student of the Mizukage takes over as Second Mizukage. Hikan is not trusted. This is not exactly anything new, however. Yuri prepares for action following the announcement that a "major crisis" will be impacting all the nations of the world.

Personality

Yuri is a bit of a psychopath/sociopath. She has no conscience whatsoever, and can do terrible things to fellow human beings without even flinching. This sometimes comes off in the way she speaks or body language she uses, and may leave people with a sense of disquiet regarding her. Something that is hard to define. Yuri does not trust anyone. She is paranoid in the extreme, though she hides it well. She can and has killed allies if she feels they are a threat or might be plotting against her. The only people Yuri truly trusts are dead people. Her fascination with death and the dead may make people very uncomfortable. She is not a murderer in the sense that she kills people for no reason. There is always a reason, no matter how wrong or self-justificatory it may be. Thus she is not going to run around killing civilians for fun. But if she makes a corpse from an enemy, she will want to keep it around for a little while at least. This can get very gross, very quickly.

Yuri does not like any living person. She finds everyone to be objectionable, and though she hides her distaste for other human beings, she is fully convinced that any given person is out to get her at any given time. Trust no one. She dislikes not being in control. If someone else is in charge, that is one thing, because she can tell herself she is pretending to obey. But not knowing what is going on in a situation, not knowing her opponents, or otherwise being at a loss in terms of information makes her uncomfortable and unhappy. She dislikes any type of pickled food, and her least favorite word is "trust".

Yuri can act calmly and professionally in most situations. She does not "freak out" at gross or scary things, and thus can handle missions requiring or dealing with gruesome duties or events. She is very convincing in her friendliness and sincerity, and is always polite to everyone and everything. This may cause confusion in some, hesitance in others, or trust in most. Maybe she's strange, but she smiles a lot and shows proper respect to those she encounters. Her paranoia means she is able to spot potential betrayal sooner than others who are not paying attention.

Yuri likes taxidermy. She preserves corpses for fun. She likes dead people and dead things, and will prefer their company over that of the living. She likes salty food, and her favorite phrase is, "Over my dead body." Generally she likes when an enemy says this to her, because she enjoys making the bravado turn true.

Appearance

Yuri is a medium-height woman with shortish black hair hanging down to about chin-level. She has pale-brown eyes, elegantly arcing eyebrows, and full, beautiful eyelashes. Her slender throat leads down to the rest of her exceptionally well-formed body. She has muscle, evidencing her physical training as a ninja, but mostly she is just a lightly-built, agile, and curvaceous beauty. Her chest is at prominent not only due to its significant size but also shape. Her waist is narrow, but her hips are wide and womanly. Despite having had two children (not that this is especially evident), Yuri has kept her figure — a near hourglass figure at that! She has powerful-looking, supple legs that probably mean she can leap and run with great grace, speed, and range. Also, getting kicked by her is probably going to suck.

When on-duty, Yuri wears a chinstrap with a ceramic Hunter-Nin mask that can be slotted into it. She also wears bandages wrapped about her lower-throat, upper-chest, shoulders, arms down to her wrists, and about her ribs. A 'cleavage window' is left open, however. A black linen under-coat lies beneath a white vest-tunic. Some waist and hip armor lies about her lower-body, with a loin-cloth hanging down in front. An odd sword that looks like a giant sewing-needle is sheathed at her lower-back. A pouch with ninja gear rests at her left hip. Sandals with leather straps lacing up her calves, shins, and the rest of her legs to about mid-way between knee and thigh complete her attire.

Kei	Fellow Swordswoman	She thinks she's better than everyone. But she is human, just like everyone else. That time at the hotsprings has proven that much. She needs some degree of intimate human contact in her life, and she has been denying herself that. So I'll provide that intimacy, she'll start relying on me, and then she won't be able to betray me! Also, she's cute.
Sakura	Fellow Swordswoman	I don't know her very well. I don't want to either. But the more I know about her, the less chance she can pull something over on >me<!
Hisakawa	Fellow Swordswoman	Some whiny bitch. Don't know her and don't want to. But anyone who can freeze the moisture in your body and kill you instantly needs to be watched. So I'll stay on her "good side". For now.
Sekisetsu	Kirigakure Genin	Hyper-violent brat. She's kind of a waste of space and resources, but everyone needs cannon fodder, I suppose…
Maikeru	Kirigakure Jounin	A guy that washed up on the shores of the Land of Water. Apparently the new Mizukage felt this was suitable qualifications for being given the rank of Jounin. Brilliant. He has some kind of Seal on his right arm… I think it may be a Cursed Seal of some kind, but he didn't specify. He talks to it. The arm, that is. Other than talking to his bodyparts, he seems to be a normal man. He notices and looks at my body a lot, just like the other idiot males. I can probably manipulate him if I want. I'll have to keep an eye on him regardless.
Tsun	Kirigakure Genin	No normal Genin can do what this brat did. She's hiding something. Something >big<. I don't trust her, and I'm going to find out who she really is >before< she can stab me in the back!

Oh, yes, he was "tested" for a month… Whatever that means. Then he was given not only the Rank of Jounin but also a pair of very powerful weapons. Lightning-charged swords of some kind… Not sure where they came from. Maybe Kei made them? Either way, he came out of nowhere and has earned the trust of the Mizukage far too quickly. No one else trusts him, least of all me. Too little is known about him and his capabilities. I may have to get him first before he can get me!
Fuyu	Uchiha Clan Head	Pretend I wrote eight pages of expletitives here. Now that that's out of the way… She is going to die. She torched me with >20 goddamn fireballs at once<! Who >does< that!? I thought these Leaf scum were supposed to be all pacifistic and shit! But I guess the Uchiha were always a nasty bunch to tangle with, even back then… Before the Villages, and all. She's good. Very good. I've fought her three times now. This last time, she hit me with Genjutsu. Paralysed me with pain and illusionary injuries. I couldn't break out of it at all. I'll have to make sure not to make eye contact next time. And maybe, just maybe, I'll take her eyes… And then crush them in front of her allies, just to show that I don't need a Kekkei Genkai to slaughter them all.
