Splitting of the Branches:
Chosen to be forgotton by many, completely unheard of by even more… the Shaman branch of what is now known as the Shippodoku clan had long ago been casted out. Under false claims of treason and still to this day the Shaman Branch claims it was one from within the Warrior Branch and vice versa. Whatever the case the branches split, the much smaller and weaker shaman branch left to pick up the way of the warrior and fend for themselves in the harsh deserts. While the Shaman headed west the Warriors headed east both never coming across each other again. Many years later the Warrior clan would come across Sousa, joining him within Sunagakure under their new name Shippodoku, while the Shaman clan continued their Nomadic life.
50 Years Later:
"Father who are these people." Suzu would look on from a distance on two men, both equiped with Sunagakure Forehead Protectors. There would be an odd silence, Suzu then nudging her father with her elbow. "Hmm?" He'd break from his train of thought, looking spaced out. Smoke rolling out his nose and mouth, the heavy stench of a desert weed filling their position. "The kami say. These two men are our future…" He would raise a pipe, taking a deep drag. Seeming to lose himself for just a moment again before exhaling calmly a light look of bliss on his face. "They call us Shippodoku for a reason I do not know. Perhaps they know more about us than we know ourselves. The one on the left was injured, we found him and brought him here for treatment. Later that one…" He'd point, "Came across us… it's been a few years since we last came across other humans so, we decided to treat them. They are quite kind and offered us aid in the future if we require it. They come from the far east." The last words of her father would cause her to tense up, she did not know why her father would say that so calmly and why they would welcome people from that land. A land where she was taught demons were born, a land where many have ventured to and when they had done so never came back…
Yami Suzu of the Shaman Clan:
Suzu of the Yami family had moved on with her life since the visit of those men, practicing in basic medicines along with poisons used for hunting and antidotes. She was quite knowledgable in Herbalism, even for someone of the Shaman clan and brought the Yami family great pride. During her rise as a shaman the Shaman have taken a turn for the best, hunts were plentiful(plentiful enough for people living in the desert), there was less illness, less random assaults by great desert monsters and random bandits/rogue shinobi. Everything had started to become much more peaceful until an upsetting turn of events.
Into the Land of Demons:
Suzu stood over her father, the man unable to move at times it was difficult to tell if he truly was still in there a strange poison had taken him. One that none of the shaman clan had ever come across. The poison attacking the mind, though not rotting it, instead it took control of the mind making him constantly try to kill himself until he had been restrained. After much discussion they had decided that he may of possibly been possessed. That whatever he claimed stabbed him didn't simply up and go, though entered his body.
The thought of him being possessed led to unsuccessful exorcisms as he would continue to simply plead with them to kill him. Though Suzu, of course, refused to give up on him and suggested that they found the two humans that came from the Land of Demons. If they had been able to live then they most like knew how to handle the demons.
The Old… Knew that the Warrior Clan were the ones lurking out there not Demons and were sure the Warrior Clan would kill them off if they had found the Shaman were still lurking about.
The Young… Feared the demons and would not dare venture out.
Leaving Suzu to venture out on her own. A young woman regarded as being calm and intelligent, had made her first truly rash decision. Though they still said their prayers for her as she made her way east with nothing but, a sack, her weapons, a few samples of her father's blood and, the clothes on her back. She would have to gather the rest as she moved along into unknown lands. With each step she felt a bit more foolish, though she had already gone far enough.

Personality
A patient young woman. Suzu is generally kind to others unless they truly show they need to be treated rudely, they'd have to prove this point multiple times at that and even at that point an apology would be enough to turn around her opinion. Things done to greatly upset the flow of nature has a large effect on her to the point where she would break out of her shell if there is anything possible for her to do the fix the situation.
Appearance
Very small, one can assume this one is… Usually crouched down or halfway into the ground, Suzu's garb would not instantly give away her true height. That is not the only thing will hidden, beyond a mess of black hair, there is not much else visible of her actual body except for a pale nose. Large black goggles are worn over her eyes and a tan cloth mask worn over the lower half of her face. As for her body she would wear what would be a worn and torn large tan cloak, the cloth obviously spending a lot of time dragging along the sands of the desert. Whatever is underneath is rarely seen, though when the cloak is opened there would be more of the paleness within, covered by a leotard style mesh suit. That was not the most interesting of what was lurking underneath, beyond the tribal tattoos all about her abdomen, up her neck and to her arms. Two belts worn, one about her waist set to hold her metal claws along with kunai. While the other about her diaphram set with multiple vials and a pouch of gear. Basic brown sandals are worn on her feet adding to the look of being a Sunagakure street rat, whatever the case she looks comfortable in the equipment.
Her size is not one to be proud of, yet she never even attempts to stand at her full height usually leaving her head reaching the thighs of others at most. Living a lifestyle of sleeping during the day within homes deep in the sand and becoming active in the night, many of her family lack the complexion one would expect of someone living in the desert. It does not help she is nearly always covered from head to toe, some joke about her glowing in the dark which… occasionally does occur under the moonlight.
