Background

Uchiha Issei was born to a prestigious family, even among the Uchiha. He lived in one of the Uchiha Strongholds for much of his life, until he learned the secret behind his name. Issei, roughly meaning: The first of his generation.

Issei As A Kid:

He was never meant to lead an easy life. Instead, he had received mediocre training, at a young age, and by age 8, he was already whisked off to the battlefields, a child soldier, and it was not for a purpose to carve out a name for himself in the bloody depths of battle. Neither glory, nor fame, nor power interested him. It was all due to the wishes of his parents. A permanent place.

War would end after he turns 10 years old, in power on par with a Chuunin. Though he wouldn't admit, as he has shown so far, that he is a prodigy at war, or an exceptional warrior, all facts still point towards those two, as even at this age he has mastered several techniques, including another element nature: Lightning. And upon arrival to Konohagakure, where the sought after "Permanent Place" was achieved, he was immediately recognized and inducted into the ranks of the Chuunin.

Issei As Chuunin:

However, upon the creation of Konohagakure and the Permanent Place, he had hoped that he would be free from his parents' wishes. He had fought not only for that, but to create a world, or at least a small patch of land, where his sister, Uchiha Yuna, would never have to find out what it was like to fight, or know that someone wishes to end your existance. But irony finds ways to strike at the heart of courage and motivation in ways not expected. Upon formation of Konohagakure, his sister was enrolled into the academy, and her future, in Issei's eyes, had become a mirror of Issei's past that he tries hard to suppress.

But even so, Issei fights on. So that the future of the ones he seeks to protect not one day resemble his past. It is for this reason that he puts on a smile, and seeks in his comrades the strength to take a step away from the past, and towards a future free from conflict. It is why he never admits his talents or his strengths, so that others are not disappointed in their own strength. It is for this reason that he protects those without power… because he knows he can, and to die for the sake of the future… is more than enough of a worthy goal.

Personality, Hobbies and Dreams

From a serious demeanor to a lazy laid-back personality in under 0.6 seconds. Which one Issei really is remains unknown even now. In battle he can be anything from playful to murderous to merciful, and it seems that for every situation there is an aspect of him that seems to fit in perfectly. Though, among his friends and comrades he always the same. Relaxed, calm, and always helpful, so assuming that is who he is at the core is the safest bet. Always willing to help out those superior or inferior to his rank, regardless of the circumstances, and one who never punishes for failure, but instead, rewards with words and actions of consolation along with advice how to succeed.

He is very quick, and in fact welcomes the opportunity, to be distracted from studies or training, and takes them about as seriously as a column of marching ants. In other words, not seriously at all. But despite this he always somehow seems to get ahead, and is quite mysterious in many ways, leading some to suspect him and what he does with his 'days off'. He doesn't seem to care much about ability of his own or that of others, sometimes even saying that even he himself is nothing special, and as such envy is a concept he doesn't readily show. However, he does tend to brandish his cooking skills, and the skills he acquired from his other hobbies, among them hiking, fishing, playing music, reading and playing with toys.

He seems to love kids and is great with them, and can be even oft found escorting young Genin back home, or through the woods near Konohagakure, or even going as far as to show them jutsu or give them pointers.

His lifelong dream is to in fact open a Orphanage to those who lost their parents due to the Great War.

Appearance

A teenage boy with black eyes and a bit over shoulder length raven-black hair which is swept back and bound by a forehead protector with the symbol of Konohagakure. His youthful lips are pressed into a thin line almost naturally. He is of a lithe build, as opposed to a powerful or muscular build, though he holds himself with great pride in his stature.

He wears a black, short-sleeved shirt with the symbol of the Uchiha emblazoned on it's back and on his legs he wears dark blue shorts. Bandages are wrapped around his hands and thighs, with a utility pouch attached to them just under his left hip. On his feet he wears closed-top sandals.

Uchiha Naru	Issei considers Naru among his friends, even though it seems a bit that this friendship might be one sided. Issei doesn't mind though, as he finds Naru is quite a bit cute when she's annoyed or angry.
Uchiha Ryo	Issei met Ryo only once, but Ryo immediately grew on him, possibly because of Ryo's young age. He offered to teach Ryo techniques.
