Uchiha Midori is the daughter of Uchiha Shundo and Fuuma Aoi, sister of the excellent Chuunin Uchiha Chiyoko. Her grades in the Academy indicate that she doesn't share her sister's exceptional talents, and at times finds herself struggling just to keep up with the rest of the class. She has barely mastered the ability to use Fire Ninjutsu.

Midori is a shy and introverted young Uchiha. Once she accepts someone as a friend, she's like an open book to them, but until then she consistently keeps her distance. When she's unfamiliar with a person she is overly polite, quiet and unobtrusive, however once she gets past this phase she is usually playful and willing to give her opinion. Sometimes she can even be loud and boisterous, however these occasions are few and far between. Midori strives hard to uphold the Uchiha name despite being unskilled in most of the areas that her clan is usually known for.

This girl is short, standing at about 4'3" with a slim build. She has waist length green hair, worn loose but immaculately combed. Her eyes are a matching shade of green, set in a pale skinned, soft jawed face. She is wearing a white kimono with embroidered green floral designs, and an overly large green bow tied around her waist, with the bow on her back. The sleeves of the kimono reach all the way to her wrists, becoming billowy from the elbows down. The front of the kimono reaches her knees, while the back is longer and comes down almost to her ankles. Her legs are bare except for the traditional sandals on her feet.

Ninja Journal

Show #1 Entrance into the Academy

Haha! So begins my journey to becoming the greatest ninja that ever lived! After all the stories I've heard about my sister… how she passed the Genin Exams with flying colours, learnt the Clone Jutsu in just a day and scored the highest marks of this generation! Now I get to do the same! I really get the feeling that I'm going to enjoy being in the Academy. Seriously, I'm going to be the next great Uchiha ninja. My classes start tomorrow morning, and I'm so excited.

Show #2 Not What I Expected

Man, the Academy is hard work. I've only been here a week and I'm exhausted. The other students all seem to pick up everything so quickly, and I'm finding it really hard. Even shaping chakra in the right ways, and learning the basic hand seals. Its all so difficult! I did manage to make my first clone the other day. I mean, it was white, and looked like it was made out of jelly. But at least it was something! I can't believe that Chiyoko managed to learn it in one day… she's more incredible than I thought.
Father doesn't seem happy at how I'm doing. He doesn't say anything, but he has this disapproving look… it makes me feel like I'm in trouble. I'll do better next week, I know it!

Show #3 Watching the Exams

We've taken a break from training to travel to Kirigakure to watch the Chuunin Exams. I don't understand half of what's going on, but father says that watching the exam matches is good for me. He thinks it'll get me ready for promotion to Genin and going on real missions. I have to admit, the matches aren't bad. Seeing people blow things up and top-notch ninjas fighting is interesting… for a while.
I'm a little upset to see a fellow Uchiha messed up by the exams. From what I've been able to pick up he lost a teammate in an earlier portion of the exam, and its really messed with him. I can understand why, its just sad.
I met an older ninja here who helped to found Konohagakure! Wow! It was quite incredible, and he knows a thing or two about Fire Ninjutsu. I feel like talking to him has helped me with my jutsu, although not enough to be able to use anything noticeable yet.

Show #4 A Lead to a Breakthrough

I've made another contact in Kirigakure, although this time with a Konoha-nin. And this could be the most exciting contact yet! He knows someone, who knows someone… or something like that. Anyway, I might be able to find someone that can help me with my jutsu problems! Finally I might be able to master the techniques I'll need to graduate from the Academy! I'm so excited I can hardly wait. I've already started looking for this guy all over Kirigakure, although he's pretty hard to track down. But I'll get there, don't you worry about that, Journal-kun.

Show #5 Harsh Training Methods

Journal-kun, becoming a ninja is even harder than I ever expected. At this rate I'll fail the graduation exams, and father is threatening not to pay for tuition if I can't pass it. I've begun training with Naru-sama in an attempt to finally master those Academy Technique, and I'm beginning to have some success, but I don't like what I have to become in order to succeed. Is becoming a Genin really worth all the rage I have to carry with me just to be able to use basic Jutsu?

Show #6 Growing in Confidence

Journal-kun,
As each day goes by I'm becoming more and more confident that I'll be able to pass the academy graduation exam. Slowly but surely I'm learning to use my techniques successfully, and my chakra control is finally starting to show some improvement. While I'm still not quite up to the standard of the rest of the class, I feel like I'm finally starting to show that with hard work, I could be a Genin. That might not sound like much to you, Journal-kun, but its enormous for me. But why am I wasting time writing this down? There's more training to be done! I've gotta get back to it!

Show #7 Passing the Exam

Journal-kun,
I was pulled out of my bed in the middle of the night last night. Then I was dragged off, still in my pyjamas, to a secret examination. It was pretty tough! I was still half asleep when it started, and I nearly failed in the first ten seconds. But after some hard work, Miyo-kun and I managed to make it through the course and out the other side. And guess what?!? I averaged a D! That's a pass!
So today I had the written exam. We don't get the marks back for another hour or two, but I think I might have done ok. If I'm right, tomorrow I could be a real Genin! Its so exciting!

Show #8 Genin At Last

Journal-kun,
I'm finally a Genin! I'm so excited! I haven't had much time to write for a few days, because I've been so busy. Between guard duty and mission preparation, I've barely had a free moment to think, let alone write to you. I went on my first mission yesterday, which was awesome. And on the way home we found an injured turtle. He was pretty big, but I managed to carry him all the way home to help him heal up. The doctors say that he's going to be fine, up and about in the next day or two! Nori-san says he thinks its a ninken - a Ninja Turtle! I hope so, I'd really like to talk to him.

Show #9 The Turtle Village

Jounal-kun,
It was a tough day today. I had to drag the Turtle Ninken all the way to Kamegakure, the Turtle Village, in a cart. My body has never ached so much in my life. But it was all worth it! I've been talking to the turtle all day. His name in Kamechi, and he's very smart and friendly. I met his grandfather too, when we arrived in the village this evening. He's a really nice old turtle, and he's agreed to help tutor me in Ninjutsu. Apparently he's some kind of sage, and wonderful at tutoring chakra control. I can't really say yet… all I know is that I don't think I'll be able to move tomorrow, so if his methods involve hours of meditation, I won't be complaining.
