Background
For as long as he could remember, Yasuki has always had somewhat of a disdain for doing, well, anything. It didn't really matter what it was, he just didn't want to do it. While most kids his age throughout his short life wanted to be playing outside and having a good time, Yasuki most often times found himself doing little more than laying around doing nothing and even that he found rather uninteresting. It was as if every thing life had to offer was boring or maybe just didn't challenge him enough to peak his interest. Now while he'd be willing to live the rest of his life as a potato, his Jounin Father and member of the Intelligence Division of Konohagakure just wouldn't allow it. That and being a part of Yamanaka, there was a lot resting on the shoulders of Yasuki to take up the hidenjutsu of the clan and make his namesake proud.
Luckily for the boy, despite his penchant for not wanting to do anything, when forced to do something he always excelled in accomplishing the task placed before him. It's like they say, ask the laziest person to complete something and they'll find the easiest and fastest way to do it. This of course helped him in many 'obstacles' in his life so he could quickly get back to doing as little as possible. Were he to actually apply himself there's no telling how much Yasuki could achieve, but there was no chance of something like that happening any time soon and his father knew it. Still, that never stopped Yasuki's dad from teaching him all that he could in regards to Yamanaka clan techniques in between missions and the boy having to attend the academy to learn the basics of becoming a shinobi.
Now when it came to school, Yasuki was much the same as he was in the real world. Incredibly distant and not very focused on the studies. Not unless someone actually forced his hand to participate did he 'learn' anything, according to the instructors. The instructors knew that Yasuki was some what intelligent, but lacked any kind of 'passion'. It made teaching him difficult and with all the other students they had to deal with they couldn't devote that much time to Yasuki, it left him lagging behind and made graduating take some what longer than most other students. Eventually though he did graduate and was finally introduced to Konoha as a genin, though what he would do at this point was unknown…Probably nothing.
One thing should be noted is that when it comes to reacting to others, Yasuki is rather positive and friendly. He has no problem opening up and trying to get along with others even though he would rather be doing nothing.
Personality
Lazy. At least that's how most would view it. When others are out on missions or training, Yasuki would rather be lounging around looking up at the sky or catching some very important Z's…Though when 'forced' into social situations, the boy is friendly enough and comical at times. At least he tries to be. Aside from that, those that can deal with his haphazard nature, Yasuki makes sure to stay on their good side. Lazy folks typically don't make the most friends.
Appearance
Yasuki is an average male teen of the Yamanaka clan with the trade mark long blond hair tied into a ponytail and two shoulder length bangs that frame his face. A pair of bright, golden eyes sit evenly apart from a tiny nose that is nestled just above his thin lips and his complexion is rather pale. The boys clothing is rather simple starting off with a green t-shirt and a symbol of Konoha emblazoned in red on the front. Blue jeans cover his legs and wrapped around his waist is a belt with a pouch hanging off one side and a couple scrolls attached to the back. Wooden sandals are worn on his feet.

Theme
Yasuki may be lazy, but he's not to be underestimated. Much like Shikamaru, he's always one step ahead and can come up with a plan for any situation. Plus, this video makes me cry.
