Amani is what one might deem as uncivilized and with good reason. She is not from Kumogakure and is unfamiliar with the way they carry themselves. While she is an inhabitant of the village, she is still growing used to learning their ways and adapting to them. For the sake of herself as well as her family.

Her story starts in the far north of the Land of Lightning where she was born into the Yamayuki clan. At the age of 5 she was set to work doing average chores. Mainly cooking and cleaning, but she did learn to wield weapons when she was not cleaning clothes, dishes and the like. Her weapon of choice was the spear or any polearm for that matter and when she went on her first hunt, she used it as if it were natural to her.

Of course, she wasn't able to take out any big game, but her skill with it did show nonetheless. She was agile and quick, enabling her to take on the smaller game with ease. From here, there were only more hunts and more cleaning. The tasks were repetitive, but it isn't as if she had much of a choice.

In time, it might be considered that she would progress. To an extent, she did. She got older and in turn stronger, but only as strong as hunting would allow and it didn't help that her parents suggested moving. She didn't want to, but they insisted that they find someplace new to be.

She wasn't told why they wanted to move until later. Their only reason for moving so far was because they wanted to see new places. That didn't go over well with her as new certainly didn't mean better. When they arrived in Kumogakure, Amani was a little perturbed, and didn't want to associate herself with the population, so she stayed close to her parents, who in turn decided that they would make a living with skills they knew best. Her father hunted, mostly fishing and her mother cooked, preparing meals from their homeland for the people of the village to enjoy from the fish caught. They also sold fish separately if the villagers wished to prepare them themselves.

Amani, as she did before, assisted in these tasks, but other than that she didn't do anything else. Her parents began to grow concerned that she would become too isolative for her own good, so they suggested that she enroll at the academy. She was reluctant, but since her parents were so worried, she decided to go along with it. Once she started, things would be a little turbulent. Getting used to everyone was difficult for her to do since she was so adapted to being alone and she didn't pay attention well in class as she liked being outside and being active instead of sitting in place and listening to instructors blabber on about things she didn't understand.

Though, it isn't as if she didn't pay attention at all. Learning jutsus was kind of interesting and she wanted to show them what she was capable of. She might not have known their jutsus here, but she did know a little bit about sound. Back home, she learned how to silence her steps to be able to sneak up on animals better, so she used this same trick to demonstrate her ability to move silently by manipulating sound. Of course, this was during a test of the basic skills, but it was still impressive for a student. She was scolded for her inability to use the basic skills still, but she was given credit for a successful jutsu.

That same day she managed to gain a few friends in the academy and in turn, she lightened up and opened herself up to Kumogakure and it's inhabitants a little more. Yet, it was still a bit difficult to take away the traits of home that she carried with her. She still doesn't conform all that well.

Personality

Is typically quite chipper, but quiet in most cases to refrain from making herself look like a fool to those that are considered of a higher class by her parents. She practices trying to remain calm and collected, but it's not always successful and she can easily give way to her clan nature by being wild.

Appearance

Amani is a girl of deep brown skin and of a young girl's stature. Almond shaped eyes with a deep azure gaze are set in a rounded face of slightly raised cheek bones and pale lavender brows. Her lips always seem to be curled downward in disappointment. Naturally because of her resentment of being in another village, however they have begun to lighten up into a smile. Above them is set a small, yet slightly wide nose and from the tip of her widow's peak to just below the midesction of her back is her parted, light colored, hair flowing to either side of her head to finish it all off.

She stands upright at 4'8 with a soft slouch at the shoulders and completes the look all the way down to the soles of her feet, but she's mostly relaxed in nature. She appears to have no definitive muscles visible, but the reason is that she is on the lean side as they remain hidden under the clothes she wears.

In Kumogakure, the weather isn't as cold as it was up north, but she still wears her clothes, or at least lighter versions. A light kimono top is worn under a padded jacket decorated with fur along the hood and cuffs as well as trim in order to keep the cold out. From the waist down, she wears a pair of animal skin shorts (it's more comfortable than it seems) and over those, knee length trousers. Finally, there's shoes, which are nothing more than ankle high snow boots with light fur trim around the openings.
