Background

Kazuki was born in the far northern reaches of the Land of Lightning in the Yamayuki village. Raised to be strong and intelligent, he lived in the almost isolated village with the rest of his family until he was sent to Kumogakure to train and become a ninja. The Yamayuki would send the young ones with the most potential to become ninjas, and though he did not present skill as a taijutsu fighter, he showed promise in his technique, his ability to learn, and even his personality. Some people were just inclined to follow the ways of the ninja, and this is what the Yamayuki spotted in the young Kaz.

When he was old enough, Kazuki made a rash decision. He was to leave the village to search for true power. Things were going smoothly for him so it was unexpected, though some might have seen subtle signs in him, that his destiny was to be his own master. Thus, he became a rogue ninja, only to disappear into the vast ocean and travel to the Village Hidden in the Mist. He was convinced they had powerful secrets to share with him, so it was the beginning of his journey to find the truth about life itself, and gain ultimate power.

Personality

Kazuki is a young ninja with strong convictions of becoming a powerful shinobi. His personality seems to be that of a mature person, taking the views of others in stride, but at heart is young, reckless, and curious, he can be unpredictable but wont hesitate to act devicively when needed. He is very confident in his abilities, and his too cool attitude sometimes gets in the way of training or work, though he makes up for this with talent and style.

His hobbies include, long walks, eating candy and sweets, exploring, combat, and playing music. He is a musician and he plays various types of woodwind, string, and percussion instruments.

Having become a rogue ninja, it was essential that he assume an alternate identity if he was abroad and not taking refuge in Kirigakure. This identity was a Kirigakure ninja named Hanzen, who's personality was not so different from his own, but enough that it would be hard to recognize by a friend or acquaintance. Hanzen moves with a clumsy yet flowing stride. He is a very thoughtful and intellectual ninja with a twisted mindset yet can come off as innocently naive. He has a friendly and polite demeanor towards strangers. He is not afraid to speak his thoughts to friends or allies. When in battle he keeps himself guarded with a calm nerve. A vicious intent shines through as he takes pleasure in overcoming a challenge and conquering another's sense of pride, all the while reserving his energy with a placid attitude.

Appearance

Kazuki is a young ninja with a relatively handsome appearance for his age. He has black eyes and small features, small nose, smooth rounded cheeks, and a small pointed chin, thin lips often present with a smirk. His medium length light brown hair falls back to the side or sticks up non-styled, held out of his eyes by a black Kumogakure forehead protector with a line etched through the cloud symbol.

He wears a long jacket of thick brown material with a hood, and two pockets on the outside, jacket buttons up over the collar to cover the face. The buttons are made of the fangs from some large animal that latch to a piece of string.

He wears a black cloth ninja outfit with fishnet material underneath showing on the chest, wrists, and ankles. A gi is wrapped and tucked into loose pants. A holster strapped with bandages on his leg and a pair of black shinobi shoes.

Hanzen is a young adolescent ninja with sharp black eyes and medium length light brown hair that sticks up with two healthy locks falling over his brow. He wears a dark blue Kirigakure forehead protector and a re-breather mask. His outfit consists of a one-piece jumpsuit with gray material and a zipper along the back and a couple pockets at the sides. A holster strapped with bandages to his thigh and dark blue shinobi shoes.

09 - Was sent by the Yamayuki elders to train in Kumo.
13 - In search of power, absconded from Kumo and left for Kiri.

Abilities

Kazuki has the unique ability of improved hearing and is able to hear sounds beyond the range of which that is audible to the normal person, and is able to enhance this ability using seals, which he has learned through ninja training and practice. While developing his technique he was studying with various teachers, but Kaz never stayed with a sensei. He didn't want anyone, like a teacher, messing with his style, he eventually learned to manipulate sound, a style that his clan was known for. He has very nimble fingers and can seal very fast, and using this to his advantage, he's even come up with some of his own seals.
