Daiki is a rambunctious young boy with high spirits and great ambitions. He also happens to be the Jinchuuriki for Chomei, the Seven-Tailed Beast. While he doesn't fully understand the role he has been placed in, he is determined to do his best to protect his village, and become an excellent shinobi.

Background

+ The Beginning

Daiki was born just seven years ago in Kumogakure, to the powerful Yotsuki clan. His father, Ichirou, was a blacksmith, and his mother Hina took care of the house and occasionally sold the vegetables and flowers of her garden for a little extra money. They were both thrilled when they found out that they would have a son, and when he was born, their world was full of light and life. This happiness rubbed off on the boy, and he grew up as an optimistic and enthusiastic child, always seeking adventure and new ways to have fun. His parents were both very loving to him, and so he has always had feelings of safety and security that followed him wherever he went.

Daiki was five years old when he first took an interest in sword play. He saw a bunch of the Saito men training, and he decided from that moment that he wanted to be just as loyal and skilled as they were with a sword, but also as powerful as the Raikage, who inspired him just as much with his earth-shattering lightning taijutsu and invisible speed. Daiki started small, picking up sticks and swinging them about until his father finally bought him a wooden toy sword, which he carried everywhere. He would practice on rocks, on trees, (even on people sometimes!), intent on teaching himself how to use it, and very much believing that his own invented sword style would be the best in the world. Truly, it was laughable and clumsy, and it wasn't until he had caught the attention of a Saito elder that he was finally taught how to properly wield a blade. Nothing special of course, but the Saito man was more than willing to teach the boy basic kenjutsu, and Daiki soon began to flourish, showing natural talent for the art. Enough so that the kind Saito man even gave the boy an old sword of his to keep, with the promise that he would continue to train and never, EVER misuse it. Daiki has held that sword as his most precious possession ever since.

Besides having his lessons in Kenjutsu, Daiki's father took it upon himself to teach the boy the basics in the art of the blacksmith, taking him on routine trips to the forge to watch and learn all he can, and encouraging the boy to build his arm strength so that one day, he could be a master blacksmith just like Raiu. So many dreams! To be as powerful as the Raikage, as skilled with a sword as the Saito, and to be a master blacksmith like Raiu. Daiki certainly had a lot on his plate by the age of six! Perhaps what he was most looking forward too, though, was turning seven and finally being able to enroll in the Ninja Academy, where he hoped to learn all about taijutsu and other ninja arts so he could become Raikage someday. Little did he know that the age of seven would prove to be another, rather different milestone in his life.

+ Becoming A Jinchuuriki

A kunoichi-jinchuuriki named Hisomu had recently died, leaving the Seven-Tailed beast Chomei out to run wild. Hiei, Michiko, and a group of other elite shinobi of Kumogakure would go out to recapture the Bijuu - however, once successful, they would need to find an appropriate host. It was Hiei who first decided to look among the ranks of the Yotsuki clan, knowing that they were perhaps the most likely to produce someone with enough stamina to contain the beast. He also noted that the new host should be young, as there would be more potential for bonding as they grew up, and someone who matched the Bijuu closely in temperament. Daiki wasn't exactly little-known in the Yotsuki community, and it wasn't long before his name was offered up. Upon closer inspection, the Raikage and village elders agreed that he would be the one.

Daiki didn't know exactly what was going on when he was summoned to a private chamber, filled with Uzumaki sealing masters invited there by someone named Naruko. To be honest, he is pretty sure he was unconscious for most of it. The last thing he remembered was a searing pain in his belly, followed by a bright flash of blue light, before he woke up in the hospital. His mother and father were there at his bedside, holding his hand and looking at him with a mixture of caution and sadness. His father told him that some things were going to change, but that he should not be afraid. That he was now very valuable to the village, and to take it as an honor. Daiki didn't really know what his father meant, but he did feel… Something. Something different, inside… It would take a lot of time to figure out what exactly had gone on inside of him, and what that would mean. But he had a feeling that there was something very powerful burning in his belly, and while that made him mostly curious, and a bit tentative, it also gave him hope. Hope that maybe one day, he /would/ accomplish his dreams. He just hoped that he wouldn't lose his freedom, in the process.

Now age seven, Daiki is awaiting his first day of the Ninja Academy, which the doctors said he could attend as soon as he was strong enough to leave the hospital. No matter what had happened to him, the prospect of starting something new made him excited enough to forget about the wayward thoughts of what was inside of him… At least for a little while.

Personality

Daiki can be too headstrong and reckless for his own good, at times. His naive and carefree attitude creates the illusion that he is invincible, and thus he is prone to taking unnecessary risks for the sake of fun.

On the flip side, Daiki is surprisingly slow to anger. He spends too much of his energy being happy to bother himself with those kinds of negative emotions. He also has a vast amount of confidence, believing that he can do anything he sets his mind to.

Appearance

Daiki is a sprightly young boy with olive colored skin and a shock of unkempt, dark red hair. You can tell from his appearance that he likes to play rough, as he is usually sporting a number of bandages from his misadventures. He is a bit of a scrawny fellow, but that is not to speak for his lack of stamina!

Daiki stands at just over 4 feet tall, and is usually wearing a pair of black shorts, black boots, and a red, short sleeved jacket that hangs open over a white t-shirt. His t-shirt sports a large kanji character which reads "Endure". Additionally, Daiki carries an intricately designed, glowing blue blade with him wherever he goes, a special gift from Yotsuki Hiei. He wears his Kumogakure hitai-ate proudly on his brow, with a goal of becoming a first-rate shinobi.

+ Show 03/28/13 - Entry #01: The Weight of the Village

Today, I got called into Hiei-sama's office. I thought I was in a lot of trouble! That made me kinda scared, since my dad was with me and I didn't want him to find out about the horses I spooked. But it turns out, that had nothing to do with it. Hiei-sama told me that he wants me to help the village! But… It sounds kind of dangerous.. And /really/ serious. I asked some questions, but all I found out was that they wanted to put some kind of monster inside of me… He called it a chakra beast. He said that it would be really hard to contain, and I would have to do a lot of special training to learn how to control it. When I asked him why we had to do something like this, he said it was to keep the villages in balance… I /guess/ I get it. But it's still a little confusing… All I know is that Hiei-sama needs me, and this is a once in a lifetime chance to protect the village in a big way. And he said I would become a lot stronger, too…. I hope so. I don't want to let him down.

+ Show 10/12/13 - Entry #02: A Gift From Hiei

I met Hiei at the Training Center today. I was learning how to see through Genjutsu from Sakuya. I thought it was gonna be a normal day.. But today, Hiei-sama gave me the best gift in the world. He acknowledged me as his student, and even gave me a reaally special sword.. I don't even have words right now. The sword is one that he made from some meteor material that he found when he was younger. The blade shines kind of blue, and it will never break or grow dull. The sheath is super intricate, too.. Gold inlay and everything! I can't believe I got such an awesome gift from the Raikage.. I feel so special, I can't explain. I'll do my best to be worthy of such an honor!

+ Show 08/01/14 - Entry #03: Genin Graduation Test!

I got called into the Academy today, where I met some pale looking girl named Yamayuki Nozomi-chan. I thought I was in trouble at first, but then I started being put through this 'specialized lesson' as she called it.. Turns out, they were testing me for Genin! I went through all sorts of exercises, where I had to use SO many skills.. And at the end, she asked me about my nindo and why I want to be a shinobi. I don't really know what my nindo is yet… And why I want to be a shinobi is easy. Cause normal people can't do what shinobi can do. Shinobi can protect people and help people way better. I feel like I learned a lot today.. Just hopefully I passed all her tests. It would be so cool to be a real Genin!
