"A fighting chance Part 3"
Land of fire
Satomi is headed for their hotel in the middle of the night with the person of interest. The client is secure, so now they can try to figure out how to deal with the fighting den. The client did offer a bonus if the whole thing could be put to a halt. While Ataru dashes off into the night. It soon becomes apperant that this poor, shabby part of town hosts the worst of scum.
Not only mobs, but urchins and beggars all seem to come together in this part of town. By the light coming from the fighting den Ataru can soon derive that the organisation is still in place. There's still a bouncer in front of the door, and presumably the man running the show is also still inside.
Oh good. They didn't leave. That made it easy. Looking about, he'd tilt his head to the side, listening for the fight within. Soon as the crowd got loud, that roar of appreciation for a good fight going on, Ataru would move. The poor bouncer probably wouldn't even know what happen to start with. First he'd be standing there, then Ataru would attempt to grab him from behind. A kick to the knees, while that arm would snake around the throat to pull up and back, his other hand mashing down on the top of the guy's head, forcing his jaw closed so he couldn't yell out. Ataru was really good at submission holds, pre-dating his time of actual training to fight. Once he put the guy out, he'd crack his neck and adjusting his hat so it was low, would head into the building. Now.. time to hunt down the mobster. This thing has to end.
Throwing the door open soon hosts quite a suprise. The fights are still going on. But the fighters seem more experienced and the techniques more sophisticated. There's about twenty goons around protecting the place now as well, and the crowd is considerably thicker. He can even recognice the man he bought dinner from betting away the bills that Ataru gave him that afternoon. Two big bouncers are guarding the door that lead to the back-office.
Satomi meanwhile dropped the client off in the hotel room, locked the doors and explained him everything. After complaining for a little while Satomi reassured him. "You're going to be fine, but do exactly as I say, or I'll be the one killing you… not the mafia, got it?" It's clear that the fear of the mob is great in this man as well. Who assumed he's now dead meat because of what happends.
So Satomi is forced to babysit him, only hoping that Ataru doesn't make too much of a mess. They're still in the land of fire and if they don't solve this discreetly, he could cause a political mess. Understanding that hosting mobs like these is often quite lucrative for the Mayor. Knowing a shinobi put a stop to it would certainly cause ramification "Stop worrying, he's a Chuunin now, he knows better." She whispers to herself before turning back to the client who's getting another panic attack.
Ahh.. if only Satomi knew.. she'd probably be there trying to stop him. Then again, it only took stepping into that area, that sound, the fights, the enforcers. It flashed back to that past and there wasn't going to be much stopping him at all. Slowly, he'd walk forward, quiet steps carrying him towards the extra guards, listening, becoming one of the crowd, he'd scope the place out. He was going to have to do this quietly, effectively. Now.. to start the demolishing of this place. The first thing would have to be done is the removal of the guards. He'd start with the farthest one away. it'd be a powerful shot to the head, following with a pull into a twist and lock him down. Once the first one was done, he'd systematically start working on each one, doing those take downs quietly as possible. Avoiding the extra guards on the mobster.
Rage can be blinding, the mobsters have been expecting him. The kids he got his money back from reported the whole incident and word quickly spread. Blending with the crowd didn't help him either, a syringe with a potent paralyzing poison gets pulled out of a women her pocket. A shinobi in disguise, hired for … well these sort of situations by the mob. She wasn't there yet during Ataru's fight. But now she is. Will he spot her before she empties the mixture into his body?
Meanwhile Satomi relaxes in the hotel room, she eats and drinks something and constantly reassures her guest. She had to get out there and coordinate with Ataru at some point. Maybe he was in trouble even? Her mind's already playing games with her, doomsday scenario's playing back and forth… no, he's capable… he wouldn't get into trouble… or would he?
They knew he was coming. That's what managed to throw it off. While he got two, the ninja got Ataru, the syringe hitting home and it wouldn't take very long at all for the teen to collapse on top of his latest victim. Kyouki was raging within his head, screaming at Ataru to fight, to bring justice to them. As for Ataru, that slow gathering of chakra began. While it was paralytic, it didn't stop him from focusing. There's been plenty of times that he's had to deal with such bindings. This wasn't going to be any different. The glare he'd level on the guards who would manhandle him up and tote him away was truely dark. Even as one would laugh and backhand him hard enough to leave a dark whelt. They really didn't know what they were messing with.
Ataru gets lifted up and carried to the back-office for a nice little interrogation. One thing was in his favour, they didn't seem to know it was him. Just a random-shinobi trying to stir up some trouble. They also didn't seem to know Satomi was with him. He'd get planted on the chair when the Shinobi who paralyzed him enters the room, slapping his face a couple of times to wake him up while his hands get bound behind the metal chair, which is lodged into the ground by a chain. "Wakie-wakie little Shinobi" Says the sinister voice of a Shinobi who clearly knows her poisons. He would quickly notice he could talk through the poison. "Lets start simple.." She says, while the mobster.. the one with the familiar tatoo gets up, leaning against a nearby wall. "Name?" She says firmly, looking straight into Ataru's eyes.
Satomi had enough waiting, she begins securing the room one more time before slipping the client a sleeping pill in his tea. "Now stay untill I'm back.." She says, while slamming the door closed behind her, locking it from the outside. Henging into a man wearing a suit while walking up to the hotel security. Telling them that an important diplomatic contact of the Daimo himself is on the second floor, in room twenty-two… and that by no means he should be let out. Since he's drunk. She then proceeds to take to the street, right back to the fighting-den.
Ataru took the hits without budging. He was already fighting off that poison, slowly flexing and relaxing his muscles through out his body. That brown coat of his hid it rather well of course. Eyes opening once she decided to start simple, he'd stare at her mutely. Memorizing her face of course. Then he'd slowly scope out the place, studying the mobster for a long moment as well. Once he decided to pay attention to her, he'd keep his voice low and quiet, forcing someone to get closer to hear him. "ya wanna know somethin..? I'm gonna kill all of ya.. I'll snap yer neck, use yer body ta stop the kunai of those guards, and then I'm gonna rip them apart.. Once I'm done with that.. Yer boss is gonna get strangled by yer entrails.. Hope you had a good dinner, the last meal is generally the one most savored, afterall.."
The Shinobi just giggles, balling her fist, stomping it down into Ataru's gut. Right into his solar-plexus (after all, stomping someone's abs generally doesn't do much…) "Wrong answer.." She says, before following up with an uppercut to Ataru's jaw. "Lets try again, name?" She says simply, her voice carries an up-pitch you would find with a female doctor.
Satomi quickly notices the guard being taken out, sighing while walking around the fight-club. She's still henged as a man in a suit… headed for the area directly above the back-officer. Remembering a small window there. If things were a mess she wouldn't be doing much good by interfering, bending down next to the window to listen in, since the angle doesn't allow her to see.
"Slop.." Satomi hisses, while noticing the commotion. She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a flare, igniting it and shooting it up into the air while dispelling the henge and making a set of seals. Ataru was a little too cocky, the Shinobi in front of him did sense his chakra. And did hear the stories. The mobster also widens his eyes, pointing at Ataru: "It…. It's him!" He says… while the Shinobi in front of Ataru pulls out a kunai.
In the blink of an eye. It's clear that this woman is at least on par with a jounin. slump she's fast… However, she stops dead in her tracks. The blade inches away from Ataru's throat. A quick look down would give away that her shadow is connected to a long line of shadow outside of the small window that allows fresh air into this room. She slowly turns around in lagging motions, holding her kunai up. "Shadow-imitation." She hisses.
About to throw the kunai into the mobster… no, Satomi wouldn't take away Ataru's Justice. Instead, Satomi forces her own two hands against her heart, Satomi isn't holding anything, but the flash of blood spraying against the wall shows that the woman did… The kunai pierced her heart, and she drops on the ground… dead.
Indeed, punching into the solar plexus can be a weak point, especially if someone is fighting and you catch them off guard. In this case, it'd feel like she just punched a rock, Ataru grunting slightly. His head would rock back at the uppercut, the chair shifting a little. For anyone who could sense chakra, Ataru just blazed to life. That chakra surging through his system, the inner strength he has at his core burning away the poison that was holding him down. Indeed, it was only seconds before he was completely freed of the chemical grip. His hands gripped the chain behind him, focusing himself. "Have ya ever heard… of the Weapon of Justice? It's a relic.. of a long time past.. Forged by those.. who are tredded on by people who think they have power.." Ataru's eyes snapped to the mobster. That glare was all the heavier for that moment, before he looked back to the shinobi. "It screams for justice.. and it's demand is blood now.. You.. forgot to ask.. how am I going to kill you all, hmm? Afterall.. I'm kinda.. stuck, here.. aren't I?"

The woman was indeed fast, although Ataru was already moving as well. When there was that pause, the line of shadow noted, Ataru simply worked with it. The flash of chakra behind him had that spear suddenly from in his hands. The snapping of mere metal bands showed where the spear had been planted at in it's summoning. As the shinobi dropped to the ground, Ataru stood up smoothly, chains dangling from his wrist. The decorative looking blade on the side of the spear would suddenly elongate, turning into a rather wicked looking double sided scythe. "It's the weapon of justice. I am it's champion.. and you are about to feel it's cold cut." Launching forward, that blur of motion was truly akin to that of a teleportation, first before the man, then behind him, the scythe was swung in a wide arc, a clean beheading as if he was threshing grain instead of a human body. Ataru would immediately go on the offensive after that, attacking the rest of the guards. There had to be no survivors to tell what happen here. That roar of the fights below a perfect cover for the killing of the people in that room. Satomi would see something that was usually hidden within Ataru, that burning rage that he had for the mafia. He didn't let it out often, but boy was it effective when he did.
Satomi just looked away when the heads started flying. Yet afterwards she did keep a keen eye on Ataru, ready to hit him with a full blown shadow-bind should he try and leave the office. One cop arrives noticing the flare, calling for backup… a second… two quickly turn into ten. "It's a fighting den where people fight to the death." Satomi says, while leaning against the wall, pretending to be a poor girl beaten up by the bouncer.
"I had a fight with the bouncer. Musashi Yune… Corporal of the anti-crime unit Senbon two, Daimo royal guard." She's uttering utter slime, but it was enough to impress the cops who immidiatly got ready to raid the place. "Inside is my partner, brown coat, big hat… Don't hurt him and he won't kill you all." She says very loudly, praying Ataru heard. She still keeps a keen eye on him, trying to make sure he doesn't leave the back-office so she can pull him up out of it before the cops arrive. Otherwise she would immidiatly get working on a shadow-bind.
That final flash of light, Kyouki leaving once the harvesting was done would have Ataru wobble a little, panting softly. That had been rather.. intense. Shaking his head, he'd look around, noting that there wasn't much for him to deal with left in there, he'd freeze up at Satomi's words. Great.. the cops. He'd wipe at his face with his hand carefully, trying to wipe the sweat clean, instead of smearing blood around. As soon as he heard an ok for them to go in, he'd slip out that window with her. Muttering to himself as he'd watch the police work before heading off back to their hotel with Satomi. A moment's pause, he'd henge into a slightly taller Satomi, different hair color, but it was the best he could think of at the time. "They knew I was coming.. dang brats ratted me out.."
"Save it, it's handled…" She says firmly, giving him a reassuring squeeze in the shoulder. "You did fine.." She says, while noticing his exhaustion putting his arm around her shoulder while bolstering her posture. "Lets go…You can get cleaned up at the hotel, and then we'll move back to the village." She says, while walking into the hotel, nodding at the girl in the reception. Before heading for the second floor. "Actually, sleep off the exhaustion first, then we'll go to the village." She says while she enters the room and sees the client deep asleep. Leaving Ataru to use the bathroom in silence, while she sits down on a chair, using that to catch up on some sleep.
The following morning they hit the road. It did take them just over two days to reach Konoha. The flipside of escorting someone who feels he now suddenly has the comforts and rights to complain about his tired legs. However, Satomi kept her cool, and already counted on the whole trip being at least two days. Regardless, the moment they reach the village and go for the Hokage her office the client lightens up at the sight of his father through the windows. "We'll reach him in about two minutes." Satomi says, while walking up the stairs, smiling warmly.
It does feel good… doing these things. She makes sure Ataru keeps up as well. "Come on partner.." She says, while putting her arm around his neck, hugging him tightly. "Mission complete, and we're both still alive.." She rubs his stomach where he got gut-punched. "And relatively unharmed." She grins, winking at him before letting go, the client reunited with his father. "No more fights done by that mobster." Satomi says, while entering the offices. "My personal guarantee. They got what was coming to them."
She smiles, father and son don't even hear what they're saying. Crying in their reunited embrace. "I thought I lost you.." He whispers, while Satomi gets a nod from the Hokage herself. "Lets go.. we'll debrief later." She says, grabbing Ataru's arm… dragging him out of the offices. "I'm going to take a nap, after that I'll find you and buy you ramen." She smiles, winking at Ataru while jumping off the other way, looking for a quiet secluded spot.
Ataru was quiet most of the time, nursing wounds that would be healed eventually. The worse thing of it all was that he didn't pay attention to someone with a needle. He should of saw it coming. That place…. While not quiet moody, Ataru wasn't really chatty like he normally would be, not even whistling. Once they got there, he'd just stare at father and son until Satomi dragged him out, seems he didn't even notice the rub at where he'd been punched at. Finally, the spell at least partly broken, he'd woodenly nod in response to Satomi. "yah, sure. I'll.. be around. Enjoy yer nap, Satomi-san." Ataru would wave and wander off, lost in thought.
