"A Rush for Genin"

Mizukage's Office

There was still an over cast over the region with a slight drizzle that turns on and off any random periods of the day. The sounds of Katsurou's shin guards clank with each step he takes towards the Mizukage's office. Beside him is Aishio. The one who will hopefully become his apprentice after speaking with the Mizukage. "Now, do not be nervous. Like i said before, we are going to be speaking with the Mizukage. Because this is a special situation he may decide to test you in his office on the spot so be mentally prepared for it." He advises as he takes a turn down another street. His sandal splashes into a shallow puddle but he doesnt seem to be bothered by it. "Stand firm, but stay quiet. Listen to each word that is spoken in that room. A trick that I have figured out that I wish someone had taught me before is that you want to be the smartest person in the room, but do not let others know you are unless necessary. How do you try to be the smartest person in the room? Well, know what you already know then find a way to know what they know. How I do this, is by being reserved, quiet, and making sure not to draw too much attention to myself if it can be helped. Then listen to the others in the room to know what they know. Do not be hasty with your words or actions. That goes for both on and off the battlefield." He looks down at Aishio and flashes her a smile as if hoping to make her feel as if he wasnt one of those cold, stern, lifeless teachers.
After speaking with a few guards who were hesitant to let the two through due to them not expecting him, they escort him and Aishio towards the door. The guards relay to the other set of guards of Katsurou's presence here, then the second guard nods, turns, and knocks on the Mizukage's door. Once getting permission to enter, the guard peeks his head in. "Lord Mizukage, Shirayuki Katsurou is here to see you. He says it is in terms of him finding an apprentice?"

"Nervous, hah!" Aishio shakes her head, "Dad says the Mizukage is one big goober, can't be that bad." Aishio does shut up for his mini lesson on how to act once they do actually reach the room. "Eh…" Aishio frowns at Katsurou, "What if you /know/ you're better. Do you still have to be all quiet? Cause I mean, I don't want to wait for some dumb baby dude speak first and then he's all. Blaaaargh, I'm dumb… I'd probably tell him to shut up before saying something sm-… wait, wait wait. Not the point, Mizukage, not dumb." The Hozuki chinrubs, he was also a Hozuki which would mean she'd better be very good about this, angering such a high ranking Hozuki would lead to quite the punishment back at home.
So, with the thought of losing her allowance and time to play, she dons a serious face. "Suuuuper ssseeeeeerious." She even fixes her hair and hat, letting her eyes stare on intensely at the guard, lips pursed as she looked, maybe… too serious, thank goodness for that hat, it toned things down a bit!

Yuge looked up from the scroll he was reading as he looked at the guard. Pausing a moment, Yuge would motion for them to come in as the scroll would get rolled up and put into a desk drawer. He'd stand to his feet as Katsurou and Aishio were escorted in. A nod given to the guard, letting them know they could leave, Yuge would study Katsurou, then Aishio. "Interesting choice." Yuge motions to the chairs across from him at the desk, "Have a seat." He'd settle into his own chair then. "So why are you seeking to take a student with you on this mission? This puts her outside of Kirigakure at a very young age."

Katsurou chuckles slightly at Aishio's respose to his mini lesson. "We will talk about this more once we are finished here." The Shirayuki says to Aishio as they await for confirmation from the guards to enter.
Once inside, Katsurou enters then walks to stand in front of a chair not far from the Mizukage's desk. He gives a bow to Yuge then actually takes a seat in the chair that the Mizukage offers this time. The tension around Katsurou seems to have disappeared compared to the day he arrived and spoke to him then. "Thank you for seeing us on such short notice, Lord Mizukage. I chose Hozuki Aishio because as you said she is quite young. Being at her age I was a sponge and soaked up the things that were taught to me. Just as I know Aishio would be too. She will be easy to mold and I believe with my guidance I can produce a strong shinobi for both in combat and in politics.
Katsurou pauses a moment and looks to Aishio then looks back to Yuge. "As for her personally? She has the eagerness and the drive to learn and be better than most; especially at her age. Also, let us not forget the strength of her clan that flows through her blood. The Hozuki's and Shirayuki's are both very much known for their ninjutsu. I may not be a good guide to teach her about the ways of her clan but I can take my knowledge of being a pure ninjutsu user and help develop in that aspect. I have not yet to see her in action on the battlefield, but that can always be taught. It is her personality and motivation that has made my decision an easy on in choosing an apprentice.
Katsurou leans forward in his chair. "However, as you also said, she is still a student in the academy. Now, she says if she were tested she could easily pass it as she is already familar with water jutsu techniques. I ordinarily would believe someoen at her age, but she is a Hozuki after all."

Oh kami, how does she stay silent. Aishio wanted to blurt things out as soon as she stepped in. Just sheer nonsense was bubbling in her brain, maybe she was nervous. She should, bow or something now right. Yes.. b- Her hand shoots up and waves rapidly in the air.
Well, not what she wanted to do but, better than standing around awkwardly. Though, Katsurou bows soon after so she takes the cue and copies him. Quickly moving to sit down afterwards. She looked on with that serious expression once more, just staring the Mizukage down. She then raises her hand, waiting to be called on by the Kage, if so she'd speak up. If not, well she'd just stay quiet.
"Mizukage….sama. I've been out the village before, to Konohagakure actually. I'm sorta familiar with some of the people I talked to alot of them. I even became friends with someone from Sunagakure, something… with a Council? I don't know if what I say counts but, I think I could really do good." She then looks to Katsurou, trying to gauge. If that was the right thing to do.(Assuming of course, the Mizukage actually responded to the hand raising).

Yuge nods slightly at Katsurou, then raises a brow, staring at Aishio for a moment in silence. Finally, he'd lean forward, clasping hands before his face as he'd stare at Aishio over his knuckles with a nod to answer the hand up. Yuge listened in pure silence, contemplating what both have said. "As a student, she can't go." Yuge shakes his head slightly, straightening up. "She will go through the normal test for a student to become a genin. We can accelerate the process to get you to Konohagakure quickly with her. She will need to come back regularly to match her clan training with the diplomacy training." Yuge looked between Aishio and Katsurou. "If that's not acceptable, then I won't send her. However, I do believe she may be able to get through the test."

Katsurou finishes speaking and notices Aishio had her hand up. He frowns but then relaxes as the Mizukage seems to indulge her. Though what she says isnt all that bad, but at the same time he fears that maybe she said too much by the end of it.
When the Mizukage goes to speak on the matter, Katsurou forms an even bigger frown on his face when he says that she could not go as a student. "That is fine. I can bring her back to the village and periods of a time as I too would need a chance to spend time with my family and address political matters with you. However, I wish to set out for Konoha in a few days. Just how accelerated can you make this process for Aishio?" Inwardly, the Shirayuki was hoping Aishio was capable of giving the best squee puppy dog look and had it working on the Mizukage as he spoke.

The silence was unnerving to the point that Aishio was going to put her hand back down. Though when all was said and done, he continued to be quiet, her eyes sort of drift about the room. 'Can't go' triggers her attention and she watches for a moment and is then offered a faster goal time towards the Genin test. She makes no sound though, given the fact that Katsurou was frowning earlier. Her eyes continue to dart towards Katsurou, sadly Aishio couldn't muster up a puppy dog look so all she did was tilt her head to the side and offer the biggest smile possible. Which… was almost freakishly large for her small face.

Yuge nods in response. "Tomorrow. You and another jounin will take her into the blood marsh. You will hunt for a creature and test her. It should be something relatively in line with what a genin can handle, however that is part of what takes so long for us to do the test, finding the appropriate beast. We'll just simply have to skip that part and send her out instead. It should be interesting to hear the results of this, however it will allow her to obtain genin within the time period you are seeking."

Katsurou nods. He raises up from his chair and says, "I will make sure Aishio is properly prepared before then…though, I have a feeling she may not need much preparation. Afterwards, I will hand you the reports of the outcome myself. Again, thank you for having us." He motions for Aishio to stand up. "If there is nothing else for us, we will be taking our leave now." The Shirayuki says with a slight bow.
