Seiko is tested on a mission, which is to guard a wagon full of precious supplies.

Land of Lightning
Ryouji and Arashi have been assigned to guard a wagon. Within it was about an ounce of chakra metal and other weapons that were forged without such. Restocking the Kumogakure armory, in all likelihood, and granting chakra metal for the Saito where they could find it. Ryouji and Arashi were assigned to meet their client at the border between lightning and fire.
Arashi had no problems going on this mission. He figured it would be easy to defend as long as no rogue shinobi of sorts came along. Basic bandits were pretty simple. "Ryouji you are the higher rank here? Any specific formation you want us moving in when we meet up with the client? Or with just two of us would it be easier to just stick together?"
Ryouji sits upon Echo, the white mare gives a snort and paws the ground, anxious to be moving, but Ryouji sits upon the horse patting her along the neck to calm here. "We're waiting for our client, Echo. Have a bit of patience." says the guy who makes Sonic the hedgehog look like a geriatric gerbil. Ryouji looks up as Arashi asks the question and thinks for a second, "Two man teams cannot really have much variation in formations. It's either side by side or front and back. In this case however, guarding the contents is most important. So we should in the front and rear of the cargo. I think, Arashi, you should take the rear, my chakra senses should be the best we have for now, right? I could point out any ambushes if we come across them."

Arashi nods slowly. "Yeah I am sure you have better senses. Alright when he arrives I will be in the back." He focuses while he heads out to the back. "If anything pops up just call me, and by the way with all the speed stuff do you have any specific other skills. Probably good to know how you fight, and to tell you the same if you don't already know."

Ryouji says, "I remember what you can do back on the mission saving those people stuck on the island during that storm." He grins and rests a hand on the hilt of lightning cutter. "I've got my swords, my lightning, and my wind jutsu. Also I got some first aid supplies in case we need them. Best to be prepared." He won't mention the rest, since it's hardly ready to use.
As the two Shinobi continue to discuss tactics, there would come along a man with his cart. With him are two Shinobi of the Land of Fire, Leaf headbands around their heads. "This is where we part, sir," one would say. "Best of luck. Looks like your other escorts are on time, so we'll be off." The pair must be Chuunin, at least, considering the flak jackets they wore. They disappeared, and the merchant would look to the two Shinobi. "Well? What are we waiting for?" he asks, waiting for the Shinobi to form up as they could and so on and such forth.
Of course, coming along and over on the mission is an unexpected visitor: Seiko. He's escorted by a Jounin for the time being, since he in all likelihood doesn't know his way around the Land of Lightning. It also allows for a sort of guard. Either way, the Jounin would hand Seiko over to Arashi and Ryouji so the team was now three instead of two. The Jounin would disappear to complete his own task, then.
Arashi would begin to move towards the rear when Seiko pops up. "Oh Seiko. Hmmm. Ryouji should one of us get on the side then if he is going to be with us? Or join the person on the cart, or on top of the cart?" Arashi stands in view of the others near the back of the cart. For now he had nothing to important to do until they got moving, so he pulled out a book to read some.
Ryouji holds up a finger to the jounin that hands Seiko over to them, but before Ryouji can protest, the jounin disappears. "Well then…" he says, clicking his tongue before looking over at Seiko and gives a shrug, "…I guess it'll be ok. Arashi, you can vouch for um…him?" He's guessing a gender here, he's got a fifty fifty shot here. "If he's going to join us, we'll do a three man squad formation then. One rides in the wagon, one on point, and another in the rear. I've got point, unless…" he points at Seiko, "…Seiko is it? Unless you have better senses?"
A mission for Kumogakure, oh dear. Seiko might be a bit more comfortable with this were the Storm Brigade not likely to be watching for him to leave so they can kill him for suspected treason. Still… He won't show any fear or doubt in front of these Kumo shinobi! He'll just have to keep an eye out in addition to being sure he does a good job on the mission. He's mostly quiet, just looking between the others as they decide, though he does smirk at Ryouji as he seems to struggle with figuring out his gender. "My senses are about average for a shinobi, I think. I'll take whatever spot you guys decide on."
Well, as soon as all the Shinobi (and Seiko) were ready, they were moving! And if Arashi didn't get his nose out of the book, then they might just leave him behind…

Arashi would remove his nose from the book the moment they began moving. "Seiko. You could probably ride in the cart considering your not officially a shinobi yet. Also from there you could assist with looking in both directions." He mostly wanted to be able to keep an eye on Seiko, but wouldn't mind seeing what he does if trouble happens. His eyes would move around looking on all sides as they continued on. Hopefully he didn't miss anything.

Ryouji takes off on his horse as soon as the wagon moves out. He says, "Let's go…" as he spurs Echo to move. He keeps his chakra senses tuned out in front of him as far as they'll go. He also keeps his eyes open, but his chakra senses are much more attuned to trouble, who would have guessed.

Nodding to Asashi, Seiko moves up onto the cart and takes a seat. He glances between Ryouji and Asashi then looks out onto the trail ahead as they move, keeping his senses attuned to their surroundings to be ready to alert the others of any danger.

The team casually just makes their way forward. No one noticing really much of anything because the people that suddenly appeared didn't seem to use much chakra. Not enough to be a threat with ninjutsu, at least, from the initial sweep. A rain of throwing knives would come down at the trio and their client!

Arashi had no problem dodging the rain of knives falling upon them. He looked up at where they came from, and simply faced his palms in that direction. There in for a shock with these. Multiple blasts of lightning rip from the palms of Arashi straight into the area where the attacks came from, and directly at the targets if they were visible already.

Ryouji leaps off of Echo who rears up. Several blades land right in front of the horse harmlessly. Ryouji hits the ground in a crouch saying, "Protect the cargo, lay waste around us if you can! We'll draw them out. Good idea Arashi!" He flips through hand signs and puts the rat emblem to his lips. He lets fire a massive gust of wind which he turns around the cart hoping to just area the whole place and draw these guys out, or flatten the area enough to kill them all.

Luckily Seiko's one to plan ahead. Having brought a small barrel of water along for just this sort of thing, he quickly opens it and brings his hands into a seal. Rather quickly a wall of water is made to deflect incoming attacks and objects. "I've got the cart. Take care of the bozos." Normally he'd love to get in on the action of obliterating the enemy, but the main objective here is the safety of the wagon.

The bandits that were there would all be able to avoid the lightning coming at them, though the invisible wind that was their enemy would reach them. Their bodies begin to show signs of injury, and they blink a few times. The only one unscathed was the man who moved back a bit further that the others. "What jus happened?" he asks, confused. Then the trio would strike again, makeshift weapons thrust and slashed to try and cut down the ones attacking them. Meanwhile, a fourth person would sneak up over to the cart…

RP: Arashi transforms into STORMY-MIND.
Arashi looks ahead at the few people attacking them. His lightning had missed, and now they charged to cut us. Next thing that is seen is Arashi getting cut multiple times by the different weapons before it falls into a pool of water that flows back towards the rest of it with Seiko. "Good thing you brought that with you Seiko. Thank you." Then he aims his hands at the three fools that attacked him and Ryouji before firing off multiple beams of energy.

Ryouji nods to Seiko, "My thoughts exactly." Then rushes at the bandits attacking. He slides lightning cutter out, intercepting and sliding under the first blade. At the last minute he charges lightning down the blade lighting it up with crackling chakra. With a quick twist he brings the blade up to block another blade before it slides home into its saya. Then the sound of thunder comes from Ryouji, his hands and sword moving so fast that it can't be noticed by the normal eye. The air around the blade cracks with a sonic boom with each swipe of his blade.

"Always think ahead," Seiko says with a smirk over to Arashi. He nods to Ryouji, keeping his hands in a seal as he uses chakra to maintain the wall of water protecting the cart.

One of the three bandits falls to the intense lightning and laser combo dealt by Ryouji and Arashi. The second is a bit too far, and he is able to avoid the incoming attacks once more, via luck. But the other person was struck by a sword strike and laser. The two that survived the combos dashed forward and tried to attack Ryouji and Arashi with even more force using their really horrible weapons. In the meanwhile, the sneak notices that Seiko is the one controlling the water wall, so the sneak tries to attack Seiko with some thrown knives.

Arashi looks at the effects of the damage done so far. He hasn't noticed the attacks at Seiko so only spits out two more lasers towards the guys he does see. Before he was able to fire again they attacked once more angrier then the last time, and another clone falls in his place. "You made a bad decision attacking us." Then two more lasers would fire splitting into four with two aiming at each of the two men he can see.

Ryouji pushes his charka network into overdrive, launching his body into his blur form. With a jolt his body gets a little fuzzy around the edges as the bandits take a swipe with blades which Ryouji almost casually dodges out of the way. Only with ludicrous speed. Ryouji says, "Too slow guys, and this is only my first stage." With his sword sheathed, Ryouji rushes forward, sticking out his arm as it glows with his swift release chakra. "Now I'll show you the true lariat of the cloud ninja!" He strikes out at one, then the other bandit, sliding to a stop and shakes his arm.

Just as it looks like Seiko's gonna get shanked on the other side from where he's holding up the water wall, he shifts his hands into a different seal. This causes thrown knives to be blocked by a barrier of wind that knocks them aside. "Nice try, douchebag!" he calls out before shifting the seal slightly to fire a trio of bullets of wind out of the wall at the man.

Well, the three attackers ended up dead as doornails. The person who was trying to steal the cart from Seiko is able to avoid the first two bullets somehow, but he's hit in the shoulder. Plus, he notices that his companions are dead D: Oh no!!! well, with that, he just tries to get out of there!

Arashi watches the combined efforts of himself and Ryouji destroy the two they were fighting. Once done he looks back at the cart just to see some other man running off. Arashi moves over to where Seiko is quickly, but is not close enough to do anything yet without something helping him.

RP: Ryouji reverts to his normal state.
Ryouji takes a few steps to chase after the single retreating bandit, but he says, "No, we still have a mission to do." He puts his fingers to his mouth and gives a sharp whistle calling Echo out from hiding. The horse trots up and Ryouji climbs on before taking off with the wagon. "Good job, both of you."
While instinct would tell Seiko to pursue and destroy, his brain tells him the opposite, just as Ryouji's does apparently. He nods to both Ryouji and Arashi then brings his hands into a seal to cause the water he was using for the wall to flow back into the barrel. Once that's done, he closes it and settles back into his seat on the cart to ride toward their destination.
