"Coming of the Dark Sage - Meditation"
The Crawler's Cave
As the night sets in on the cave of the Crawler, the desolate place has basically been the same as ever. With the monks all dead, all that dwell here now are the dark creatures created by the Crawler, along with the few members of the Order that came for this journey. A few of the creatures are seen wandering around the cave and even outside it once in a while, though they're not really doing much.
Inside the cave, Tadashi is seen doing his training as he has been for some time now. Rather than some hard physical task, he is literally sitting as still as possible by a pool of black ooze in a meditative state. His normal black coat lays off to the side about ten feet away, his surprisingly sculpted form revealed as a bit of the ooze has been rubbed on his arm. With his eyes closed, he appears to be concentrating pretty heavily as he goes through this slow, tedious training.
Narusegawa did what she did best. Make sure that Tadashi's training was going well and to assure that if there was a chance he did manage to pass the training that he didn't get overcome but some possession. She wanted to ensure that his mind set was intact. For now she simply watched him, gauging his focus while every now and then peering around at the beasts known as the children. It was an interesting group of summons…nothing at all she was used to but nevertheless there she was, arms crossed along one another while watching him with the faint burning gaze of her crimson sharingan, a devil amongst the dark.
After awhile of watching she decided to take a few steps closer towards Tadashi, crossing her legs along one another and taking a seat before him. "Are you awake?" She couldn't help but to ask. But she made sure the sound of her voice was a faint whisper.
The children would gaze back at Naru once in a while, their gaze almost looking through her. Still, they make no sort of aggressive motion toward her. It's a bit odd for such peace to be going on in a place that like a center-point of darkness.
Though he doesn't seem to budge at all as the woman approaches, when he is spoken to, Tadashi would open his eyes at last. "Hai," he would respond, yet remaining still. "Falling asleep wouldn't do me any favors in this training. I've got to get it done as quickly as possible. We've got a lot to do, after all…. Which is a bit ironic since this is a type of training that takes more patience than most."
"Your focus isn't as good as I thought it would be… You know you are supposed to be tranced right? Far detached from this world from what I've heard around this cave. Too bad I don't know much about the training you are going through…But what I do know is that you need to focus but you also need to eat and rest," Naru explained to him quite promptly. The gaze of her Sharingan didn't leave him and instead she reached into a pouch in order to bring forth a flask of water. " From what I can tell it appears to be working… I see an interesting chakra emitting about you…But the potency of it remains to be fairly weak…"
"Actually, you're a bit incorrect on that," Tadashi says with a slight smirk behind his mask. "What I'm focused on is /in/ this world, the atmosphere and earth around me. At this point, my main focus is on recognizing that foreign chakra you're seeing, which this ooze helps me do at this point as a catalyst so I can recognize well enough what it feels like. I'll worry with gathering it in mass once I've mastered that… It's rather intense, even compared to developing something like my Sensory Diagnostic. I'll be much stronger in the long run for it, though." With that, he'd stretch his arm out to grab his coat and bring it to him. "You are right, though. I do need to eat before I get back into it too heavily. It requires steadiness, which I'm already pretty accustomed to from surgeries. Really, it's a perfect addition to my already developed skill-set."
"Eating and drinking is apart of life. and While chakra may sometimes seem to be a rather magic thing… It is only as good as the body that uses it," Naru agreed with a smirk. " There is a lot about this technique I don't know about. But perhaps watching you go through this will help me have a better understanding…. Taking energy from around you rather than building it up from within… I find it interesting," Naru spoke softly, settling herself back once Tadashi began to stir himself from rest. " So what else are you going to need to do? How exactly does the ooze help you bring in my energy…?"
Chuckling a bit at the woman's words, Tadashi would shake his head a bit as he stands up. "You do realize you're talking to a doctor here, don't you?" he asks, a bit of a tone of amusement to his voice. "The ooze doesn't help gathering. It helps make me more aware of the natural energy while I'm building up my own awareness of it." With that, he'd dig a scroll out of his coat, unrolling it to reveal a pair of food plates. "Also, despite how slender I am, I'm pretty sure my body is deceptively impressive. Keeping it covered is part of my ruse, after all," he says before he'd sit and unfold one plate, handing the other to Naru before he'd start to eat.
"It might sound silly to you but time and time again people forget about the basic things…" Naru responded back, shaking her head in reference to she herself eating. "I'm actually already taken cared of in that regard. I'm more so worried about you… Aren't you a little fearful of sucking up the energy of this place? You don't even know for sure if your body will be able to contain that sort of energy…filled with malice and negativity…" She carefully let out a quiet sigh, leaning back again in order to take a little further notice of him.
"I'm not one of them," Tadashi would say, reaching a hand up to pull his mask away from his face, revealing the surgically-altered face he uses for the Tadashi personality. A doubled disguise. "This is training in more than one way," he points out as he quickly eats. "The darkness of this place is that of the Crawler himself and his minions. Taking it in also helps me train more in keeping a tight hold on the power of the Crawler so he's not able to try to run wild during battle."
"Or does the power of the crawler allow it to have more influence over yourself?" She countered back with an arched eyebrow. "Just trying to keep your nerves up. I know what it is you have to do but…" She then shrugs her shoulders and yawns, rising herself back to a stand while dusting off her lap. "When it comes down to it I'm just asking you to be safe is all." There wasn't any more worry in Naru's tone, if anything she just wanted to push him to be a little more cautious…
Well, I also run diagnostics on myself once in a while to see what's going on for that reason," Tadashi says before finishing his food and setting the plate aside. He then grabs a bottle of water from his coat and unscrews the cap to take a few sips. "If he wanted a vessel that would break so easily from stupiditiy so he could run rampant, he'd have chosen the last guy. The darker side of our work whets his appetite without the worry of his supply vanishing as it would have if he'd have broken free." That said, he takes another sip before setting the bottle down and giving a wink. "Trust me. I'm being safe. We've got a lot of work ahead, and I wouldn't allow anything to jeopardize our plans." With that, he'd gather a bit of the ooze again, though a bit less this time, rubbing it on his arm and then assuming a meditative position once more to begin focussing on nature energy again.
"I think that's why you are struggling a little bit," Narusegawa responded back to him as she noticed the ooze on his body, it was quite apparent to her that there was more he had to do if he wanted to master this technique quickly. " You have to learn to trust me a little bit more. Don't worry about analyzing yourself every step of the way. That's where I step in to keep an eye on you. I will make sure nothing bad happens to you. All you need to do is focus on your jutsu. I will keep your body in check, and poke you when it's time to eat and drink again, okay?" Of course Naru was only just meaning well, perhaps a little demanding and imposing as well.
Listening to what Naru says as he concentrates, Tadashi would open his eyes again, pondering a bit. "You're right in that regard. I only need to do that when it's Banshi's shift. I'll rely on your Sharingan prowess then. Thank you." With that, he'd close his eyes again, focusing completely on the jutsu as he continues his practice in detecting and absorbing nature energy. A look of focus shows over his face as he does this, the nature energy beginning to build a bit more. Through his already-built sensory skills, he attempts to keep it at a level amount, raising it in proportion with his own chakra.

"Good, just let me take over from this side…" Narusegawa responded back, a slight smile finally formed along her face, and with that she returned back to her silence to idly watch him. She could check his vitals…Sort of, and the ominous chakra flowing around and through him. How would she know if he was being possessed? She had a feeling it would be similar to genjutsu, something she was incredibly familiar with. She remained silent carefully watching him…. She was determined to keep an eye on him. No matter how long it was going to take.
