"Cursed Doll Creation 1"
Toshiba Forest
It is late afternoon, almost getting toward evening in fact, and while the training grounds are fairly populated for a spring day, one boy can be seen off to the side, braiding some rope. Nori has a little bit of a frazzled edge to him today as he goes about braiding multiple strands of thinner rope into a larger single strand.
She's back, first time back in town in a long time, and the Kirryu Jounin finds her self at the training grounds. The tall kunoichi yawns, back arching before she puts her hands in her pockets and starts walking again, now slowly headed toward a nearby tree. As Moriko gets close she pauses then glances up it before suddenly getting a big grin and dissapearing. Mochi appears a brief moment later up in a nearby limb, now laying back and starting to whistle as she rests her head on her hands.
Ever since her sister had let her into the Training Grounds, Midori had wandered them every evening, finding nooks and crannies where she could practice her jutsu undisturbed. When she didn't have to worry about people watching her, the girl went forwards in leaps and bounds, occasionally even succeeding at one or another of the techniques she needed to learn. It gave her some hope that she might actually be able to pass the exams some day. This evening the little girl pokes her head around a huge tree trunk and spots Nori not far away, seemingly making some sort of rope contraption. Midori steps out and greets him in a tiny voice, "Good afternoon, Nori-san!"
Nori looks up as he hears whistling coming from a tree-branch not too far from his position. The sounds of clanking kunai, the sounds of people shouting, and even the sounds of huffing and puffing are common in the training area, but whistling is not. Nori lifts a hand slowly and waves to Moriko. He is about to ask her something else though, whether or not she's seen his wave, when Midori pops up out of nowhere. "Midori-kun!" He looks around and jokingly states, "I had to check that I was in fact in the training grounds still. First whistling, then you showing up? I thought I had been transported somewhere else." He chuckles and then looks down at his rope, "Hey, I don't suppose you'd like to help me with something?" The boy finishes up the last braid and ties the end into a knot.
The tall Kirryu girl glances down, then returns a wave back to the person who waved at her. A cheerful smile showing while she reciprocates the wave. "Hallo!" She greets, the enlarged k9's and incisors showing just a bit as the teenager waves tot he Genin, she then grins and offers another wave toward Midori "And halloo to you too!"
Midori looks up to see the Jounin in the tree, and she smiles and waves to the woman. Then she looks back to Nori, "Uhh, sure, I guess, if I can help. What do I have to do?" Then she looks back up into the tree and frowns, "What are you doing all the way up there?" She tilts her head to one side questioningly, and then notices the woman's strange teeth. "And why do you have fangs?" she asks insensitively, seeming thoroughly perplexed.
Nori returns the hallo with a friendly, "Konnichiwa!" Nori is actually about to ask Moriko the same exact question, but Midori beats him to it. "That is pretty cool. How'd you do that?" He feels his own set of canines and smirks, "I don't think mine are overly intimidating." Nori looks back to Midori and then says, "Oh, eh, I need help catching this wild boar. I finally caught up to it, grabbed it with my Mind-Body-Switch technique, and then I realized that I couldn't tie it up. The rope I had also wouldn't be strong enough to hold it…so I need your help." Nori looks over to Moriko, "I could actually use all the help I can get I'm sure."
With a blink, Mo tilts her head. "Ooh, yah, sorry 'bout the teeth and all, amma Kirryu… we're ummm well we're a family with a kek, one sure sign that those Kirryu that exhibit the ability strongly is some animalistic or inhuman type features…" She then grins and pulls her hair to the side "See even have pointy ears." she comments as she makes that fact rather evident. "And as far as the boar… Y'sure ya need my help? I mean I can go catch em for you if you want…"
Midori frowns again, still looking confused, but gives up and gives the woman a shrug. "So, you need me to hold onto that rope while you twirl it all together, right?" she asks Nory excitedly, happy that she can be of assistance. "I don't know how much help I'll be in actually catching the boar though. Those things are big, and strong, and I'm little and weak!" she adds, sounding a little intimidated by the idea of going after something that could really hurt her.
Nori smiles, "It is something I have to be a part of at least. I guess you could say it is a rite of passage in my clan. I am Yamanaka Nori. It is a pleasure to meet you Kirryu-san." Nori does stare at the ears, "Kakkoii (cool). So, eh, why have I never heard of the Kirryu clan? I mean, I know the Yamanaka clan is from back-water Kadomai…but I've been in Konohagakure for a little over a year now."
Nori then looks back to Midori and shakes his head, "Nope…rope is hopefully done. What I need you to do is just tie the wild boar by its legs and tusks so that it can't escape. Don't worry, you won't be in any danger," and he coughs and says in the cough, "aslongasIdon'tmiss". He clears his throat after the cough and adds, "Once I have the wild boar, I will just walk him over and lie him down to let you tie him up." The Yamanaka do have some talents. To Moriko, Nori asks, "I'd need your help in driving the wild boar toward me is all."
Moriko blinks and tilts her head "I can stun the boar for ya if ya want… or I know, I'll let you too deal with the piggie, and if you need medical assistance I'll render aid. Oha nd interfear if you guys get in trouble." She says playfully. "If this is a rite of passage, not a whole lot I can do but letcha learn and all…" She then oh's.. "Well we're around and all, been here since the founding of the village. Most Kirryu serve as circus entertainers though, sideshow folks and whatnot… My particular group works for the village, usually without and all. Gather info, herbs, whatever…"

Midori looks more than a little hesitant at Nori's instructions. "Uhh, you want me to get close to that thing?" she asks, whimpering a little, "And what if you miss? What happens then? Can't you just take another shot at it?" She takes a step away from the Genin, putting distance between herself and any perceived threat. After all, she wouldn't stand a chance at fighting a huge boar.
Nori smirks, "You could help me stun it…that would be fine. I just need the skin in order to make something. It has to be personal and I have to thank the wild boar spirit for its sacrifice before I kill it. The object to be made is said to function more potently if I kill the beast." Nori shrugs and then perks up, "An entertainer, eh? I have been teaching myself the shamisen (japanese 3 string guitar)…but I'm not very good at it. Know anyone that I could maybe take lessons from? What do you do as part of the entertainment?"
Nori frowns, "Weeeeell, if I miss I might fall unconcious for a bit. That might leave you by yourself. If animal kunoichi was there though, you'd be safe still." He smiles sweetly and then adds, "Once I have control though, I should be able to hold the boar no problem." He has his fingers crossed behind his back. Nori stands and packs his burlap sack with the rope and then asks, "So, what say you…shall we go?" Nori looks out and points, "The boar is about five minutes that way." He points, and it seems like he knows exactly where the boar is.
Moriko blinks and looks to Midori, then Nori "Ya ever thought of using yer training and yer smarts? Wild bore, -love- soured corn… simply sour up some corn, ya can do it quick by putting dried corn in hot watter with some bread yeast. Let it sit till it gets stinky, then pour it in a hole in the ground. Sit and wait in hiding, Ninjas are more'n just fighting, stealth is needed too, and wits… Use your wits, lure the pig into a trap where his movement is limited. Heck y'might set up some branches with thorns in it in an area to trap the pig on three sides while it's eating the corn,t hen drop another wall down and well its movement is limited, then simply grab his body and voila, Nori there can then tie the piggie up and everythings all good.:"
Midori still looks hesitant as she looks at the Jounin, but gives in with a shrug. "Ok, I guess I'll try," she says, sounding rather dejected, "But if I get hurt I'm blaming you." With that comment she points accusingly at Moriko, then spins on one foot and starts heading off in the direction that Nori indicated. She intends to stay behind the Genin and let him try to catch it with his Mind Transfer Technique before she even gets close. And if he misses, well she might just take off running. She is rather skittish after all.
Nori blinks too, "Who said anything about fighting? All I need to do is take the boar's mind over. It is easy for my clan to do…assuming it doesn't move…and I have ways to keep it motionless too. It is just that, when I toss my mind at something, if I miss, my mind takes a little while to get back to my body." Nori smirks, "And I don't need to sit and wait. I know right where the boar is. I'm a Sensor-Nin." He smiles with pride at that one. Still, Nori considers the idea of the traps, "The trap seems like it could work, but it feels like extra energy compared to just sneaking up on it and using my mind to do my dirty work…as opposed to my wits." He chuckles and then heads off into the Toshiba forest, hopeing Moriko and Midori are in tow behind him. "Besides, I usually don't miss…" Usually.
Moriko grins "And if you do miss? Besides, how much energy does it take to bait and trap the pig… but if that's what you wanna do, I'll make sure you guys don't get mauled or anything." She says and shrugs, hands lacing behind her head as she rolls off the tree-branch to land lightly on her feet… "Lead on oh fearless leader." She then winks to Nori, and after reaching into her backpack, offers Nori a sweet red-bean-bun.
Midori narrows her eyes at Nori and says, "I don't like that word -usually-." But she follows on regardless, her breathing becoming a little heavier as she gets more freaked out at the idea of trying to take on a boar. Of course, there's always that woman that's coming along with them, maybe she'd be some help. Midori looks over her shoulder at Moriko, trying to work out just how strong she might be. Of course there's really no way to know for sure.
Nori smiles, "If I miss, then my dead body will act as a decoy to allow Midori to escape. You'll be fine Midori-kun. Besides, it takes considerable effort to make the trap now. I've been keeping track of the boar while I got the rope ready. If I go to make the corn trap, the boar will probably be out of my range." This one is a stubborn boy. Moriko's trap would definitely be the strategic choice, but Nori's got his mind set to something, and so he's off to do it. The red-bean-bun is taken with a large grin and he bows. "Arigatou-gozaimasu!" He eats it as he gets himself ready.
After only a few minutes of travelling, the trio can hear some deep grunts coming from the bushes up ahead. Nori slows and uses a few hand signals to say 'stop' and 'see-1-straight'. The boar is there, rustling around after a tuber in the bushes.
Moriko grins and looks to Nori curiously, she offers Midori a red bean bun as well, before blinking "Ya won't miss." She says cheerfully, as if she's certain Nori won't… The relaxed jounin then winks at Midori and smiles "Lighten up, things will work out."
Midori pulls a kunai from her sleeve with trepidation, her hand shaking with fear as she glances around at the boar. She gulps quietly and takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself for whatever might happen next. In the other hand she still has the rope, and she hopes that her hands will stop trembling for long enough for her to tie the thing up safely. Midori jumps a little at Moriko's voice and answers, "I sure hope they do."
Nori places a hand on Midori's shoulder and then shows that he is breathing in and out slowly with his hand (moving it up and down as he breaths in and out). Removing the rope from his burlap sack, he hands it over to Midori. So, Nori takes his time, goes down on one knee, then focuses his mind with the Yamanaka hand-seals…and he goes unconcious. Next thing Midori knows is that the boar comes walking through the brush, head hanging low, eyes cast down. The boar flops onto the ground right as it clears the bushes. It seems the technique worked. So far, so good. Now it is Midori's turn.
Moriko grins again and idly pokes at Midori "Go tie the piggie up, make sure to loop one hoof, then wrap another and hogtie it propper so its feet can't come free… oh and if I were you, I'd put a wrap around the muzzle so it can't bite anyone." adds the jounin before she settles on a nearby branch and nibble son a bean-bun.
Midori quickly runs up to the boar, but trips on the way and the rope flies out of her hand. "Oof!" she says as she hits the ground, and takes a good few seconds to recover. But when she does, she's back on her feet and running to pick up the rope and then straight to the boar again. She quickly loops the rope around each leg separately, then pulls it tight and wraps the rope around all the legs together. She repeats the process a couple of times and then ties it off, hoping it'll be strong enough to hold the boar. "Umm, I don't have any extra rope to tie around its muzzle," she says, having used all the rope to tie its legs together.
Nori/Boar waits patiently for Midori to gather herself, especially when she falls and gets back up. Luckily, Midori does a good job at tieing the boar up, thanks to Moriko's instructions. When Midori says the muzzle will be free, the boar just grunts once. Perhaps that is Nori saying okay? Once Nori leaves the boar's mind and eventually retains his own body, the boar begins flopping, squeeling, and straining against the ropes. The rope tightens, but as intended, it stays strong. Nori pulls a kunai out from his belt and, despite the wild boar having time to struggle and snap those tusks around, Nori says a quick prayer, "Thank you for your sacrifice oh wild boar spirit," and then the kunai is shoved deep into the boar's throat. As the boar's head snaps forward, Nori pulls the kunai across the throat, and slides back. The boar makes a chorttling squeeling sound before it dies. The death rattle is enough to send chills down Nori's back and several tears down his eyes. He wipes away his cheeks and then says in a somber tone, "That should do it. Thank you both for your help. Once the spirit has left the body, I will remove the skin from the flesh and save it. I'll also make sure to cut the meat up and send some to you both for your help."
Moriko glances around curiously. "Ah all done!" She then oohs "Fwee.. Pork, I'll have to make a stir-fry!" She says cheerfully, then glances to Midori "See, that wasn't so bad was it?" She asks curiously, and beams… Then her glance goes back to Nori "Don't take yer time other things like feeding on pigs…" She says and then rubs at her neck curiously, before glancing to Midori, then to Nori "Ya know, my family owns a restaraunt, why don'tcha come by, can eat more of those bean buns…"
