Summary:
The Spring Festival was back in Sunagakure and as always, it was bright and festive. This time, however, it grew to be a bit too bright and unseasonably hot for the time of year. A fire had broken out at an establishment at the festival and needed to be put out quickly before the festivities and ultimately, the village were harmed! The festival goers would now become the festival savers!
"Fire at the Spring Festival!"
Village Center Area [Sunagakure]
The Spring Festival was back in Sunagakure! Yes, it does experience a Spring or at the very least, many people who bring their culture with them have brought elements that have all come together to celebrate the season here in the desert! Merchant families have made sure to bring out their best wares to provide for the public, both local and visiting.
Bright colors surround the village and scents ranging from incense to food fill the air. Performers line the streets with different acts and one of them just so happened to be Itami. It wasn't really her idea, but she supposed she didn't see the harm in it…sort of.
She didn't think she'd become a playground for children or a canvas for their art, but who could pass up the chance to be this close to a dragon and live to tell about it?
Tatsuo wasn't really much of a representative as far as he was concerned, yet here he was, sent by someone or other to the festival in Suna. Not that he minded. He had wanted to come visit Suna for a long time! It just wasn't usually something he was able to do. After all, he was only a wee Chuunin. Yet here he was! Now if only it wasn't so dry out! The visitor from Konoha wears his Chuunin vest and his hitai-ate around his bicep so that it's obvious where he's from. Other than that he's keeping to himself, wandering around slowly and just trying to stay out of the way with his hands clasped behind his back.
Walking into the area, the girl named Chisara has her hands at the back of her head with her fingers entwined. She looks around as she walks into Sunagakure with a sort of wide eye stare. It was so different a village from what she was used to. The girl was already surprised by the vast desert that was around the village. The pathways through the village take her to the sight of a great festival. Of course, she was surprised by the sheer amount of things to see, but who could not be surprised by a dragon right in front of you. So, for the moment, Chisara stops near the dragon, rubbing a hand over the back of her head as she looks around at the rather surprising sight.
Mushi is at a fortune telling booth. She's not taking part, she's just watching the supposed fortune teller who holds a person's hand and tells them their fate. Usually it's something wonderful. 'You'll become a great man.' Or 'You will find your true love.' But after a while she caves and goes to have her fortune told for a coin. When the fortune teller asks what she wants to know, Mushi asks about how long her life will be. The woman takes her hand and glances at her palm. "Your death is imminent," she tells her.
Why do other people get good fortune, and she gets an imminent death? That's silly anyway, and Mushi says as much before stomping off. She's not in the mood to visit anymore stalls, so instead she watches the people from a shaded bench. There are some interesting locals and especially the foreigners. This is quite the festival, to attract people from afar.
Right next to the Paint-on-your-Kage booth is the Scorpion Squad Revue, Playing a traditional folk on his Shamisen and singing in a pleasant tone which is contrary to his gruff and brutish appearance. As his song ends, he takes a moment to sip from a earthen jug "You know this pleases me greatly to see you in this state.. Surrounded by your greatest enemies and engaged in a battle you will lose" he says as he lights up his pipe with a puff of smoke, putting up a sign ~Intermission~, there is a long glow of the embers before the smokes slowly seeps from his nostrils. "With Respect, Of course Madam Kage" he says with a tip of his strawhat before people watching, there were many people from lands near and far. The leaf decked out in vest and scribble band was a sore-thumb of sorts in the casual atmosphere, and a cloudsuki and others. "I didn't know the village engaged in such old traditions, I though you Shinobi had relinquished all the old things" he was being very cheeky, she wouldn't punch him in the middle of everyone would she, Grim wonders.
One of the people playing on the Kage happens to be Arika. Well, not many would recognize her as her usual self, really, because she was currently henge'd as a super tiny lizard that is perched upon some random kid's shoulder. He seems pretty oblivious to the lizard's presence (or he doesn't mind it). In this lizard form, Arika is just casually looking around at the crowd and trying to figure out who she can sucke- I mean convince to buy her some strawberry mochi.
~Always mochi with you -___-~ 'Well, it's yummy!' ~So are pesky humans.~ 'You wouldn't eat me.' ~I would if it would shut you up.~ Arika grumbles a bit inwardly before getting interrupted by another rumble. 'What? Someone you know?' ~Not sure who, but there is a familiar soul right now…~ 'Hmm…'
Hand slap. Poke. Foot jabbed into side. Occasional bite. Jumping on top of feet. Yep, this was the life…
It didn't hurt Itami much or at all, really, but that didn't keep it from being annoying. Plus, she hopes this paint washes off well… It's all over the place. "You would take pleasure in th—hngh," she cringed as a poke went right into her tail. Some kid was trying to 'slay the mighty dragon' with a wooden kunai. She snorted, keeping herself from binding the child more tightly with her tail. "I don't like you right now…" She growled out to Grim.
"Welcome, everyone, to the Spring Festival! We have plenty of food and fun for everyone here!" The operator at Itami's particular booth offered to the crowd. "We also would like to thank our Kage who has graciously offered herself up as an attraction! A big, but very friendly dragon!" The operator observed the time from a clock nearby. "Aaand for now, this attraction is going to take a break! We'll see all the visitors back here in an hour!"
Itami gathered up all the children around her and gently placed them down, sweeping them closer to their parents with her tail before returning to her normal form. "I need something to drink," she muttered quietly to herself as the families departed.
There's a lot of look at but for the Konoha visitor he seems perfectly happy to stay out of the way and just watch. People watch, event watch, any kind of watch really! At least until something seems to strike him, at least mentally. His attention shifts around a bit before his gaze settles on the poor kid who is Arika's ride. Over by the big dragon. Wait, wasn't the Kage of Suna a dragon? Was the Kage really letting herself be drawn all over? Apparently it would thanks to the announcers…announcement. What will all that stuff look like once she's not a dragon anymore ohhhh. Well, interesting.
'Squid brain…'
Walking forward, the girl from Kumogakure stares at the dragon and is getting ready to see if she can see more of the dragon when the announcement comes and she frowns. The dragon is going away? Chisara frowns deeply and then sighs before she witnesses the dragon become a person. She blinks again, staring for a long moment before she looks behind herself and then to the right and left. She stares at teh woman who was a dragon before shaking her head and blinking several times. She then considers, "Is that some kind of henge?" She asks of no one in particular before she considers the possibilities. The possibilities include going to find food.
Itami was the main spectacle, and Mushi had watched her some time ago. But now she looks again as Itami reverts to her usual form. Mushi is watching intently, as if trying to discern the technique. But it doesn't seem to be illusory. That's when Mushi sidles over. "Hello Itami-san," she says politely. But while she's saying that, she's circling around Itami as if examining a display case at an exhibit. Once she makes a full-around she says, "I thought maybe you'd still be.. scaly.. or bulging or.. nevermind. Goh-kun would die of jealousy. He likes dragons." She's speaking awfully familiarly with the Kazekage. Some have taken to looking at her sharply, so Mushi steps back placatingly.
Grim feints injury at Itami's word "Surely you jest, Madam Kage. I am here protecting you from all sorts of gooey fingered harm." as if that was even true, where do you think they got the dye from.. "I have that covered" when she requests a drink, he holds up the earth-colored jug to a cup pouring the liquid to the brim and holding it up "Your wish is granted, Madam Kage" he says with an escape of smoke from his lips, before tipping over the sign he just put up and begins his next song, strumming away on the 3 strings with another desert folk song, no singing with this one as he was talking to Itami. "I'm surprised you agreed to that.. how many pints?" he asks with a cat whiskered grin before he looks over as the Kage is addressed in a familiar way and the mention of a certain famous pickle salesmen.. usually went invoked it meant someone from the 'olden time' so he goes back to singing a few stanzas.
Arika's eyes lock onto Tatsuo's form, and she hops off the kid's shoulder when he's set down, returning back to her usual form. She didn't really have any mark that said she was more than a Genin, but her Hitai-ate that was tied on her arm proved that she was a part of Suna's forces. With a burst of wind, the girl ends up charging towards Tatsuo, trying to tackle into him! … INCOMING! "Tatsuo-Nii-san!!!!" she says excitedly in greeting. Whether or not she's successful in running him over, the girl would still give him some enthusiastic greetings. "Ne! Ne! Whatcha doin'? How's Isobun?" ~He's about about get his shell cracked if I can help it.~
Itami snapped out of her thoughts just enough to hear a question about her abilities. "A henge? No, it's real. All real. What you saw was a true dragon…" Her voice trailed off as Mushi came along and began searching her.
"I'm not a dragon hiding as a person, I am a person that can become a dragon. I'm not so scaly now, but I could be if I desired," she replied. "I thought most people knew I could do that, I suppose there are still those who have yet to learn," she chuckled while inching her hand out to receive the drink Grim offered to her.
"I'll let you know about the pints later." She sucked down her drink and shook her head. "Refreshing!" She cleared her throat. "It's nice to have visitors here from other villages. If you did not know, I am the Kazekage of Sunagakure. My name is Watanabe Itami. I agreed to take part of the festitivies, but I didn't know what I was in for," she laughed, addressing what people had gathered before her. "I hope you all are having a good time right now. I'll be back in an hour to take up my attraction again, but for now, I need a bit of rest. Feel free to enjoy other activities taking place here." She bowed lightly, watching some of the crowd disperse.
Just before Itami could move away, a child comes and bumps right into her, caught off guard by Arika's shout while he was flying his kite in the air. It hoooked into some lanterns overhead and became stuck. Naturally, his reaction was to continue yanking until the whole string of them fell to the ground. Spooked and a bit embarrassed, he untangled his kite and ran off to find someone he know. People already got to work trying to gather up the lanterns that fell before them.
There was little time between realizing it was actually Arika and having to catch the girl. "Ah! Hey there Arika-chan!" he greets despite the small slide that comes from catching her and setting her back down. "He's fine, we're both fine, how are you? Oh, and I'm here as a respresentative of Konoha!" Important stuff, surely. Although he didn't really feel it. His eyes slide over to the lantens that have been knocked down by the kite puller but he doesn't comment. It's over with after all right? Don't need to make Arika feel bad.
'Just try it ink breath.'
A look over at the dragon woman and Chisara blinks several times. She bows slightly to Itami and then states, "Sorry, I didn't mean to insinuate anything and I do apologize if I offended." She blinks, "Kazekage?" She then looks around and is about to say more when a collapse of lights draws attention. Chisara blinks, "Oh, that's bad." She walks over and then starts to offer to help, "Here, let me help get those back up." She nods her head and then looks at the tackling girl and the guy tackled before she hmms and goes back to offering to help fix the problems caused by the kid.
When the lights fall Mushi glances around to see the damage. Well no one is hurt, and she says to Itami, "The accident isn't too bad. But you sure you want to go? Having a dragon around might not be a bad idea." She smirks. But now that she's standing there, she takes note of the singer next to them. He's actually quite good, and he looks to be from around these parts, though she doesn't notice any Suna symbol on his attire. She says to him, "I think some of the songs you were singing are a bit older. Most people like singing the fresher, newer songs now-a-days." It isn't a criticism. She phrases it almost like a compliment. "Can I ask your name, singer? I'm Nikumari Mushi."
There is a silent agreement when he is put off till later, Grim knew he was in trouble at this moment so no amount of anything was going to change his fate. When he song finishes there is a grumble released "I think she's dragon hiding in a human form.." before he puts his pipe back between his lips and let loose a cheshire grin for the ages. "Does anyone have any requests and/or spare change?" he says with a shake of his tip bucket trying to look like a pitiful artist instead of the desert mercenary he was. "Well, I am not exactly a young man anymore. So the things I learned in my day are sadly.. old" he says with sigh of smoke curling from his nostrils. "I am Grim.." he says with a flourish of hands and bow of his head before adjusting the shamisen and plucking afew strings in some experimentation as he adjusts the tone.
Arika ignores the chaos she caused behind her despite totally being aware of it. It … Really didn't matter all that much to her since she was sorta super selfish most of the time. Also, it clearly wasn't her fault! Totally that random kid's fault. Definitely. "Hnnn… I'm alright. Sorta bored, I guess. Cuz I dun get t' go on a lotta exciting missions. Mebbe if I ask Itami-chan super nicely she'll let me visit Konoha fer a bit…" Possibilities! ~Why the heck do you want to visit him? The turtle soup over there is about as useless as garbage. And he smells like it, too.~ 'Good comeback.' ~Now you're just mocking me.~ 'I can't do it to you?'
"Oh, no need to apologize. You haven't offended me." Itami takes a look at the falling lanterns as they come crashing to the ground. "Wouldn't be a festival without things like this happening. Makes for more excitement," she chuckled. Her eyes gaze into her cup that was sadly empty.
"I /have/ to go. I must take my break or else people will see an angry dragon," she remarked to Mushi. "Letting children climb all over you and paint and…kick and bite and slap and all sorts of other things…takes its toll…" She shook her empty cup in emphasis. She really needed another drink.
"Don't give anyone ideas that I'll have trouble defending against," she muttered to Grim. "After your set, I'm going to need your 'assistance'," she hinted with a wiggle of her cup.
The lanterns are picked up by the villagers and visitors, though there isn't much hope of them being strung back up now. Looks like that's all of them for now or so it was thought. In the distance, a black smoke begins to build up and quickly. Guess all the lanterns weren't collected.
Tatsuo seems to be pretty much ignoring the extra conversation going on, letting the two (three?) of them hash it out like they usually do. Usually his additions are rather unwanted anyways, since he'd be trying to make them get along. "Well, um, I do go back in a few days. You could come with me if the Kazakage says it's alright. I came by myself so I can give you a ride even." He looks to the mess again but still just kind of…leaves it be. "Missions aren't really meant to be exciting Arika-chan. They're simply things that need to be done."
'At least I don't smell like a bunch of bullsquid.'
As the singer requests some coins Tatsuo digs into a pouch. A few moments later a thin bit of water floats over to the bucket before vanishing, letting the coins drop with a jingle into the tip bucket. "Maybe I should help with those lights…" he mutters to himself, not noticing the smoke just yet.
Right now, she isn't seeing the smoke, Chisara was just helping to pick everything up before she looks over at the retreating Kazekage. Her gaze dances over the woman walking away a moment, memorizing her for the future. Not everyday you meet a kage of another village. Not everyday you even meet the kage of your own village. Her eyes go then back over to the others here. Seems lots of people are meeting again and the like. Maybe she should seek out something for herself. Of course, that's when she sniffs the air and looks around before pointing, "Hey, there's smoke over there." Chisara considers people around, "For whoever is the person to fight fires here, that is."
Mushi laughs. "I see what you mean, Itami-san. Have a nice rest then. I suppose you've earned it, serving as an amusement ride. The Kazekage is very devoted to her village, and I'll be sure to mention this to Goh-kun." That last bit is added with a hint of slyness. She holds Itami's gaze for a few moments more before turning back to the singer. "Grim, ehh? How mysterious. I don't think your singing the old songs is bad at all," Mushi disagrees. "It shows character. I would like to hear the saddest song you know. Do you sing those kinds?"
She's talking a bit more when several voices raise in alarm, and she turns to see the smoke rising from an area. It could be someone cooking food, but those shouts suggest it's not. And the smoke is becoming far too voluminous for a bit of barbecued pork. Plenty of people are saying it now, and usually Mushi would be the first to rush over and help. Instead she stands there flabbergasted. "Death by fire," she says. The fortune teller was right! "Someone put it out!"
Grim clears his throat when he is set aflame by the Kage's accusation "I didn't say ANYTHING" he says looking in the opposite direction as if not seeing it would avoid it. There were subtle hints, then was what the Itami was doing, getting he hint he pours from his jug into the empty cup. "Your Refreshment,Madam Kage" he says with a combination of indignation, respect, and humor. When we the river spirit gives him some coin "Thank you Kindly!" before ~sniff sniff~, pause, ~sniff sniff~, Then someone mentions that there is smoke "Did someone let Mountain Goat try the cook your own noodles stand?!" before he is drawn back by the question of a sad song, "Sure, there are many sad songs.. about Lost Loves, life's left empty by tragedy or death.." he looks at the shamisen strumming some notes that exude sorrow, each string plucked seems to lament that it could be it last. He flips the sign for ~Intermission~ "Someone get Mountain Goat away from that pan!" he shouts to no one while setting down his instrument.
"I'll let you know if I can then!" Arika says cheerfully, giving the Nara a small nod. "Jus' make sure I tell you what's up /before/ you go t' leave," she huffs, not wanting to be forgotten. Also, she wants to go on a magic carpet ride with Tatsuo! … ~Should we be worried about the fire?~ 'You're just planning to make it worse.' Arika stretches a bit. "I'mma go ask her now, I think!" Cuz this is a great time to ask about a vacation… Yep. With a burst of chakra, Arika disappears to find Itami.
"I believe I have," Itami snickered. "Devotion is key in this sort of thing and the running of a village. Otherwise, there's no other point." She shrugged. "I'll be sure to keep up only the best of appearances for Goh so that you can continue to send back glowing reports, Mushi," she winked. Another gaze went into her cup and then back up at the mention of some smoke.
"Smoke?" She inquired while searching for it. It wasn't long before her eyes rested on a thick, dark cloud rising up and it was only going to grow larger. "Oh dear. There's a fire." A few bodies running away from the fire make their way towards the village center, pointing out where the fire is and where it's headed. Seems it's spreading quickly and headed towards a residential area.
"Attention everyone!!" She called out, jumping to a higher point to draw attention. "I require able bodied people! A fire needs to be put it out and it is spreading quickly. While I am certain my shinobi are already on the job, I need others to help guide civilians to safety away from the danger! We need the area cleared as quickly as possible. My hope is that this fire does not become a blaze. The faster we act, the more time we have to quelch it!"
As she has people gather round her, she begins to provide details on where people should be and what positions they should take. Many civilians are given the position of leading the safety zones. Shinobi ought to encounter the fire itself and find any that may be trapped.
Once the assigning is done, she makes a gesture for people to break up into their groups, leaving her open to be pursued by shinobi to put out the fire. But just a little bit before that… "This is the perfect time for me to tell you about the pints. Follow up!" She called to Grim.
At the site of the fire was none other than a kite. Yep, looks like Kite Kid managed to get trapped here. Not intentionally, of course. He just happened to be at the wrong place when the fire started. Now, he's a part of it and he's frightened. Him and many others. The fire has blocked off the entrance to the building they were in and though there was an exit in the back, it was crowded and jammed by panicked people who were getting trampled. Some order needed to be set in place to free everyone.
"We need to break up the people back there. Once they're out and in safety, we can begin putting out the fire!"
Fire? Is it a sand fire or something? Tatsuo looks back to Arika and opens his mouth to say something to her but she's already gone. Well damn. He jumps into the air as a thin, nearly invisible layer of water appears underneath him and carries him towards to smoke. There's enough people to move civilians around, he can focus on the fire itself if all goes well. Although there's very little water in the air here and he's not sure how sand reacts to water so much. It's going to be…interesting.
Looking at the others as people scramble and especially the Kage as she starts directing orders, "I can help." She states as she raises a hand and then she starts over toward the areas she is directed to, doing her best to help move people and get people out. She isn't really that great with any skill that will help right off until after people are pulled out, then she can really help.
The Land of Wind. That kind of jutsu will only fan the flames, and there's little water to be had. Itami's command gives the people some order, so they can evacuate. But those trapped and nearer the flames are in an uncontrolled panic. Mushi throws off her cloak and pack, and then runs straight for the building of trapped people, and the beeline means she has to go straight through the fire. Inexplicably when she plunges into the fire she's not burned. Even the smoke pressing around her doesn't touch her. On closer inspection people might be able to see the clear chakra around her, encasing her like a giant crystal and shielding against the flames. In a minute she's in the building, and goes straight to the back exit. "Line up and evacuate one at a time," she says.
She's literally shoving people into line. Any who protest quickly find it's hard to overcome a shinobi who is bullying them. "One row. You men, grab those trampled people and carry them out." After that she just repeats herself again and again, trying to hurry people out the back while keeping an eye over her shoulder at the advancing flames. Someone will have to do something about that.
Grim sighs for a moment, knocking out the ashes of his pipe and stepping on them. "Just another day.." he grumbles as he follows the Kage at her behest. "Please don't charge me for what I am about to do.. My Incidentals Account cannot handle it.." speaking to the Kage. Before moving into the building against the flood of people filtering through the narrow exits, trying to not knock anyone over. "Please Step away from this wall" he shouts holding up his fist. "Seriously don't charge this on my account.." he pleads before his fist slams into the wall, nothing happening for moment before the wall crumbles inward in a semi-circle and then blowing outward sending almost powered gravel into the street, now that there was a larger exit he reaches up to hold up the joist to prevent the wall from crumbling down on the people using his new exit. "Please be orderly, Let those who cannot defend themselves from the smoke and heat exit first. The Elderly, The Infirm, Mothers with Children.. Violators who priortize themselves over others will be PUNISHED." the look on his face would be a level of seriousness that should not be tested.
Arika ends up getting to Itami just as she finishes calling to Grim. There was a bit of a crowd since she called everyone up, so it was difficult for Arika to get there much quicker. The girl perches on the Kazekage's back and pokes at the woman's sides with her feet. "Ne! Ne! Itami-chan!" she says, poking and prodding to get her attention. ~If I squish her, we could go a lot easier.~ 'I think we'd get killed before we could blink.' ~No, only you.~ 'You'd at least disappear fer a bit.' ~At last, quiet.~
"Worry not! You won't be charged! Except only in pints!" Itami teased Grim momentarily while continue to direct the crowd and give orders on the situation. She can already see the efforts of the group paying off as the people who were jammed into the doorway begin to loosen up and form a more steady crowd that's able to move through with Chisara and Mushi's help. The addition of another hole in the wall provided ample relief on the crowd, establishing a better flow, although there was the concern of debis that was beginning to loosen up and fall to the ground.
The fire, at this point, had consumed half the building and was beginning to spread to other places thanks to a less than helpful wind that churned up and extended the flames out to another establishment. It'd soon reach some homes if it isn't put out quickly.
"Arika, I'm right here!" She grunted out. "What is it that you need?" She looks up to Tatsuo, only mildly distracted by Arika. "The people are almost out. Just give them a few more moments!" They may not have that time to stretch out as the building was already beginning to collapse at the front, pushing more smoke into the air and sending falling objects, both burning and not out into the surrounding roads.
Tatsuo looks over the fire from above, floating in the air as he takes it all in. When Itami calls up to him he nods before reaching higher up into the sky with his chakra. With the dry air closer to the ground there simply isn't enough without pulling from Suna's stores, and he can't do that. Instead water begins to gather in the sky high above him, forming into a floating bubble that slowly grows. As the smoke from the fires comes up towards him he uses the limited water around him to form a layer of water just thin enough to divert it away from him. Don't need to be breathing all that in.
As Chisara is rushing to help, she is trying to direct people away. S he is also trying to help people who are injured get to a safer area. As she is helping though, the debris smashes into her head and she winces as she drops to a knee and holds her shoulder where she was hit. She looks at the spot and then winces, "Not good." She moves away from the area where she was, making sure to get out of the way and her hand goes up to her shoulder, a soft green glow coming out of her hand.
When the debris starts raining down, Mushi sends out a pulse of chakra that pushes it aside before it can touch her. When the last person finally leaves the building she scrambles out and climbs onto the roof to get a better vantage point. The wind is fanning the flames, and it may reach beyond the public square. Mushi looks around to ensure the area is clear of people before making a series of hand seals. The ground begins to rumble, and then the stone and earth around the fire shoots up like a rising wave. More of it gathers until it's like a jagged entrance to a cave. Then it'd slam down, in an attempt to smother the flames with the devouring earth.
"Pints still cost money?! I'm not a bank!" Grim shouts out the holeway to the dragon barking orders, and then he is given the choice that is impossible to avoid, does he avoid the rocks like how he would think a shinobi would and let them fall into the crowd, or take the hit and continue to hold up the wall and ceiling as best you can.. well if he did the former then he would offsetting his death by a few hours when the Kazekage rips him a new whole for his blood to be liberated from, so he chooses the latter but his battle hardened and armored body just bounces off the blows. "Let's move people this building is not going to hold up much longer!" when he can see that everyone has left and that there is about to be more shinobi weirdness about to befall him, he leaps out of the entrance-way he made trying to roll into the street and out of harms way.. if there is an explosion he will not look at it, otherwise he look at the building to make sure everything is going to plan.
"I wanted t' know if I could go t' Konoha after all this," Arika says quickly, sorta waving a hand in the direction of all the chaos she may or may not have indirectly caused. "Oh, also, should I go 'n help with that fire stuff, or should I just sorta stay here fer now?" It didn't look like she'd be able to do much since what she did was mostly destroy things…
The area is cleared save for a few stragglers that are headed to the safety zones outlined by the plan that was set up. Thankfully, they won't be in harm's way for much longer as the earth that supported the building would now be the one consuming the fire. The earth caves in, rumbling outwards and causing the surrounding area to tremor momentarily until all falls still. The fire is choked out and the smoke plume dwindles until nothing is left but a haze.
"….Sure," Itami stated with an unusual calm. "You can go to Konoha. The fire is taken care of, people are safe, all we need do is clean up. You're free to go," she smiled, trying to hold back her irritation with being clung to at this time.
"Grim, I'm going to need many, many pints. So many. In fact, arrange for a barrel. I'll pay for it. "Everyone! How are you? I need a vitals check!"
Tatsuo doesn't pay too much attention to what's happening on the ground. There is more than enough people down there that can take care of the evacuations and he could see to any needed healing after this part was done. At least that's how things were going until the fire goes out beneath him. Well…that's a relief. But it would be a waste to dissipate this gathered water, so instead he finds a well and drops it all in. Hopefully that won't mess up too much. He floats down to the ground, the water vanishing as he settles back down and looks around. "Does anyone need healing?" he asks, looking to the Kage.
A look over at Tatsuo and Chisara walks over, still finishing up with her own shoulder. She winces a little and then looks around, "I can help heal, too." She nods her head adn then looks oaround at the other people here, "If you point me toward people I can provide first aid and light healing depending on the need. I'm not great but I am capable of stablizing people."
It's a good thing quite a few shinobi were in attendance who could restore order. The last of the flames have died down, and Mushi drops down from the roof. She avoids the choking smoke that's dying down and heads back to the central area. "It seems a dragon was needed after all," Mushi says. "Without you, things would be a lot less orderly." She's looking around now as people gather or go home. Some head towards the hospital. Mushi gives a slight cough, and places a hand on her chest. Chakra flows down through her hand into her body, and she lets out a sigh of relief. "Your medics know how to treat those who've inhaled smoke, right?" Her tone is half curious, half worried.
The desert mercenary rolls over on to his back staring up into the sky for moment "As you wish, Madam Kage. Do you want it fresh from Kumo or will local variety suit your need?" he responds before slowly sitting up then pushing himself back to his feet. "Alright! People, lets calmly move away. We will setup a Triage Clinic in the Marketplace which is nearby. There is ample open space, availability of supplies, If you are injured please meet there." Before he leaps up holding onto an exposed post "Medics, Healers, Herbalistics, and those able to help, we will be setting up clinic in the market, please make your skills available. Anything beyond the basic need of field medicine please let those standing by so we can usher them to hospital but please do not rush or horde the hospital. Let keep it orderly and respectful.. OR ELSE" Grim shouts down at the crowds below before looking to the Kage to assure that she approves.
"Yus!" Arika cheers, ignoring the fact that Itami seems angry. Irritated. Something like that. She'll get over it! >.> Arika hops off the Kazekage's back rather promptly now that she got what she wanted, and then she gives a smart(-aleck) salute. "I'll help out then!" she says cheerfully. A handseal would result in several Arika's appearing in a poof of smoke (all the more hassle for Itami!!) before they dash off. A bit of dark chakra seems to leak from their forms as they seek out places to help and heal the injured. A bit of that dark chakra would help heal the people that were worse-off, and some of the clones also helped try to move the rubble and such. So helpful! Of course, the ulterior motive of 'leaving the village' was the only reason they were such >.>
"He has the right idea. Listen to him and you all will be led well. He has my approval," Itami pointed out Grim's orders. "And yes, my medics can treat those who have inhaled smoke. I know we're in a desert, but that doesn't mean we don't endure situations that occur in other societies. We're still a major village and thus, we have major village issues. My medics are expected to be educated in as many schools of medicine as possible. We are not simple, backwater poison experts," she chuckled in response to Mushi. "We are a village of information. With that comes knowledge and with experience, comes wisdowm." She clasped her hands together.
"That being said, I want the barrel fresh from Kumo. I'd like to have something different on the pallate this time," she responded to Grim. "So, once this is all done here, I expect an order to be placed immediately."
Her eyes momentarily leave Grim to focus on Arika as she splits apart to assist with the clean up of this mess. Thankfully, the festival wasn't harmed by this and was still continuing in other areas. There's still much fun to be had, but it's safe to say that the dragon attraction will be closed for good now.
A slender tendril of water comes from Tatsuo's hand and without warning dives into Chisara's shoulder, being immediately absorbed through cloth and skin and leaving not the faintest of dampness. Chisara would feel whatever pain remaining in her shoulder vanish as the muscles knitted and bruising and swelling faded completely. After a moments thought he draws some of that water from the well anyways, a line of thin water traveling over rooftops towards Tatsuo who isn't even looking at it. Much like Arika's ink after it touches Tatsuo it splits off in various directions. The young Nara's eyes seem unfocused as he works, the water seeking out those who need healing and diving right in, sometimes more than one bit heading to certain people. With that done Tatsuo finally relaxes.
Well ****.
