So apparently Zori is back in Konoha! What d'you know? Who'd have thought it'd happen! Either way, he is back, and now it's time to put him to the test! Zori was assigned to a mission with a leading Jounin and Daichi, for some strange mysterious reason. Today's mission was pretty simple, and neither genin would get to know the details at the moment. Instead, the Jounin was standing in front of the gates of Konoha, arms crossed over his chest as he waits.
Daichi walked along with a half angry half frowny look. Seemed he did not like being on a mission for sure with Zori. Could he even trust him to behave after everything? He was normally….. Fine.. But he got so out of control that one time, and that is just dangerous. And he hurt Shinobu a bit, so Daichi didn't like that. Either way when he saw the Jounin he would just nod and wait nearby.
Zori arrived at the gates of Konoha, leaping down from amongst the trees. Zori crosses his arms over his chest as he peers around for signs of life. Zori notices a Jounin was near by the entrance. "You must be here to lead the mission?" Zori gives the Jounin a blank look. Zori then notices Daichi was here as well, turning his head slightly to look at him. He grins in his direction.
"Yes, yes. Today you'll be providing community service. Cleaning the roads up from trash." A boring task, and one that was often reserved for criminals. The good news (or perhaps bad news) is that the prisons are currently empty. Kenosha has no one in their jail cells, at least for the time being. Hence… Shinobi. "I'll be overseeing and assisting to the side, You two will be doing the main job. I expect you two to cooperate." The Jounin picks up a stick that allows for the pair to pick up trash, and he gives them a bag. "When your bag is filled, you'll return to me so I can restock," he tells them.
Daichi stares at the stick and the bag and his face lowers. "Really?" He just sighs and ignores Zori before heading off to pick up any trash he sees then. "I can't believe this is what I was called out for." Luckily he was quick anyways and was just hoping to get it over with. He was moving from spot to spot putting trash away quickly.
Zori turns his head back over to the Jounin. Zori's arms are at his sides, as he clenches them tightly when he hears what his mission was about. What a boring mission. Zori was tempted to walk away. But nevertheless Zori braces it. "Great.." Zori grabs the stick and a bag and starts to pick up trash at a very slow pace.
The Jounin would raise a brow at Daichi's attitude and make a mental note of it before taking up his own supplies. The man would tell Zori, "Let's not dawdle, here. There's a lot of ground to cover." Then the Jounin just walks along, picking up trash. most of it was on the main road, and near Konoha there was a decent amount off the beaten path as well. Mostly because of wind and people traveling and being forced to stop by the guards.
Daichi just walked along without any other word for now. He just picked up trash as quickly as he could, and just made sure to stay relaxed a bit. Nothing to worry about. Just some stupid D-Rank. At least he would get paid for it right?
Zori hears what the man said to him and immediately turns his head over and glares at him. Zori raises up the stick and points it at him. "Its boring" Zori watches as Daichi starts to pick up trash even faster then he was before. "No backbone whatsoever.." Zori mutters to himself about Daichi.
The Jounin just sighs and shakes his head a bit, recalling this information. He'd write it down later. The group would spend a bit of time around the entrance of Konica until at least half of the garbage was picked up. Then they would move on down the road, passing some trash every now and then that the Jounin made the Genin pick up. As they continued along the road, a cart would travel by. "MAMA! LOOK! IT'S A BUNCH OF BAD PEOPLE!" yells a childish voice. "Beehhhhhh! Here's something else to pick up!!!" someone yells, throwing an apple core out their cart and at Zori.
Daichi just kept on picking up trash. He watched as the kid through the apple core at Zori, and he didn't move to stop it, but he frowned a bit. His eyes shifted to the kid again, and Daichi just shaked his head as trash was picked up more.

Zori stared at the Jounin, his stick still pointed at him. When the Jounin started to write down notes, Zori slowly puts the stick down. Turning his body away from him as he walks over to the next piece of trash that was near him. As he gets ready to pick it up, he hears a kid shouting. Zori turns his head over in that direction as he sees a apple core headin his way. Zori swipes his arm and knocks the apple core aside before it did any real damage. Zori grins as he tilts his head at the kid that threw it.
The kid would make faces at Zori, even as the cart travels along the path. "Stupid bandit! No good! Go die inna hole!" he yells. And then the cart would disappear along the path. The Jounin rubbed his eyes a bit at the random stress, and then he sighed and shook his head. So much trouble today…
Daichi frowned again at the kid, and pondered heading over there, but decided against it. Instead he would just pick up more things off the ground and trash them. Pretty simply really.
Zori saw the kid make faces at him, as the cart traveld down that path. Just as the cart dissapeared, Zori's wires lashed out from up underneath his sleeves of his hoodie at the cart. Zori's wires would latch on the back of the cart, reeling Zori in close. Zori remains grinning at the kid as this was happening.

The Jounin watched the wires unravel from Zori's sleeves, and he was quick to move. With not much thought, the man would unsheathe a smaller sword - more accurately described as a dagger, really - and slice through Zori's wires so that Zori would be unable to grab ahold of the cart. Thankfully, the family didn't notice anything. "Is there a reason you decided to try and grab that cart?" he asks in an icy voice.
Daichi when noticing the wires had his own kunai pulled out, and was about to flicker over there and cut it himself. The Jounin was quicker though and had already done it. He just listened and stared at Zori with a slight glare before he got back to picking trash up himself.
Zori noticed the wire got cut by the Jounin. Zori's eyes focus on the Jounin. His grin fades back blank. Zori starts stratching his head. "I just wanted to talk to the kid.." Zori pauses "Thats all" Zori noticed the glare Daichi gave him, but he ignored it as his eyes solely was on the Jounin.
"Get back to work. You're not here to socialize," The Jounin says with a sigh. "I don't want to see your wires out, Zori. Unless there's a good reason." Then the tanto would be put away so that he can walk away and return to the task at hand. They team would have to continue picking up trash, of course… That's not all that exciting, but sometimes missions just weren't all that exciting.
Daichi had filled another bag and brought it to the Jounin with a slight frown. Though it seemed aimed at Zori. "May I ask why me and Zori were the two chosen to go on this together? If this was with like Shinobu or someone else I would be fine, but why him?" He spoke quietly, but he didn't overall care if Zori heard or not.
Zori looked at the Jounin, listening to what he said. He then nodded afterwards. "Very well.." Zori walks over to another spot where trash lay. He starts to pick it up but overheard Daichi talking. Zori grabs a piece of the trash with the stick and shoves it into the bag so hard the stick goes right through it. Zori growls. "Hey!.. i didnt ask to be stuck on a mission with you either. Sticking me with such a softy. How dare they" is directed at Daichi.
The Jounin would look at Zori and just shake his head. "I can't tell you that," he tells Daichi. "Let's just continue with ou-" the man cuts off as he notices something out of the corner of his eye. It was scampering across the ground and it aimed itself at a piece of trash. The Jounin frowns a bit and watches the rat as it nibbles on the trash a bit as if to test it, then it would take it in its teeth and flee! Why was that so distracting, though? The rat was a good three feet long D:
Daichi eyes the rat and blinks a few times. "I uhhh… Shouldn't we do something about that thing? I mean… that thing is so big." He frowned and moved slowly towards the rat as he drew a kunai. "I am gonna…" He looked to Zori and blinked a few times… Zori might actually be more useful for catching things so suddenly Daichi moved and with speed this time to reach Zori's side. "So. You think you could catch that thing for us? Gives you a reason to use your wires." He looked at Zori with a straight face.
Zori saw the rat, snickering as he hears Daichi seem somewhat nervous about it. Zori grins. "Kill it already, creampuff. Ill even lend you a hand since the rats probaly way faster then you anyway..Hehe" Zori's wires are already still on the ground, they start to move again coming back to life as they lash out at the rat. The wires aim to wrap the rat up.

Poor Rat… It didn't have much of a chance there, apparently. The wires would cut into the rat, and it would squeal in pain, writhing in its newest trap and dropping the piece of trash it had been carrying. "Finish it, Daichi," the Jounin would tell the genin, letting the pair handle things themselves. He was mostly here to oversee things because Zori was on the mission, after all… "Or you can, Zori… Either way, we just need to clear away trash."
Daichi shrugged and just quickly formed a seal. Then suddenly he threw a kunai and had spit out fire as he threw it which lit the kunai on fire. Would both stab and burn the rat then and he looks to Zori. "There you go Zori. It is dead." Or should be.. "And I am probably faster than you so I wouldn't try to compare me to a rat." He glared at Zori.

Zori snickers as he watches the rat squeal in pain. When the flaming kunai went into the rat, Zori continued to grin. Zori quickly turned his head towards Daichi once he talked about being faster. "Oh? Is that so?" The wires wrapped around the rat, then start to twist and squeeze as Zori gazes at Daichi with his head tilted, grinning still.

The rat dies! Yay… But then more rats come out to try and attack Daichi and Zori! The fact that they're only rats really doesn't make it all that bad, but the sheer amount of rats..? Well, let's just say that the rodents might give the shinobi some issues… They would be biting at Zori and Daichi's ankles a lot.

Daichi was bit a bit, but he was able to flip away. "Fine! Stupid Rats!" He suddenly charged the rats one at a time and would kick them each all over the place. Beat this one up, and this one up, and this one up. "You still not gonna do anything sir Jounin?" He turned to the Jounin. He didn't need the Jounin's help of course, but really.

Zori saw the rats coming at him, the wires lash out at a nearby tree pulling out away. But then suddenly the rats jumped up into the air and latched unto the wires. Scittering abotu on the wire until they made there way to Zori's body. The rats then begin to bite him. "What is this?.." Zori lands on the ground in front of the tree. The wires then set up poison bombs all around his feet, with one simple tug of the wire the poison is released by him. Zori holds his breathe placing his arm over his nose.

Daichi's kicks send the rats flying, but more seem to appear until Zori throws a poison bomb up. Said bomb seems to weaken a lot of the rodents, and they quit showing up to deal with these offensive people for favor of keeping their lives. A shame that Daichi is in the thick of it with those rats… He might get affected by the bomb too c.c;;
The Jounin is about to say something to Daichi when Zori triggers his trap. A frown crosses the man's face, and he covers his mouth and nose so he doesn't breathe in the fumes, waiting for it to disappear before stepping forward. "Are you two okay?" he yells, voice muffled from his mask.

Daichi just moved. He took a step and suddenly wasn't in the smoke anymore. That one step seemingly sending him much further away than one step. "Zori. You have to be careful. You aren't the only one here and have to act like you are working with a team." He shakes his head and looks around for rats.
Zori's nose is still covered using his arm as he tries to look through the smoke. He see's a tree nearby barely and takes the opportunity to send out the wire towards it. The wire wraps around it and pulls him over out the smoke. Landing on the ground near it. He looks out to Daichi "A team?.. Hmph." Zori pauses "I was fighting for myself."
The jounin frowns. "Zori…" he warns. "Anyways, let's get back. I think we're done here for today. Daichi, could you try to burn the bodies? I think it'll be for the best." He would wait for Daichi to use his fire manipulation (hopefully Daichi can do such!) and then he'd turn and head back to Konoha. Or start moving. He'd pretty much check back to make sure the genin were following.
Daichi frowned and nods before forming some seals. He could make a lesser fireball and that was big enough to burn rats. Just not big enough to burn a forest. THen he looked to the Jounin and followed along.

Zori looks over at the Jounin when he called out his name in a warning tone. Zori was still grinning. When Daichi starts burn all the rats up, Zori's wires reel back in and slithering back up underneath the sleeves of his hoodie. Zori then gives Daichi one more gazed look before turning around and walking behind the Jounin following along.
