The respected members of the Uchiha Clan can all be seen within this section of the village. This strong bloodline reside in simple apartments and small houses like most of the village but tend to stay in the same location. Members walking around in this narrow path of the village are mostly of the Uchiha descent but it is not unusual to find a member from another clan wandering around. Although not private, Uchiha devote most of their private time here. This section contains a few grocery shops, a weapon shop and news stands. Further along pathways lead to a small forested area and a pond.
Since most of the village police consist of Uchiha members it is really common to see groups of police officers wandering around in the streets to and from the entrance. Children running around can do so in peace under the watchful eyes of their elders. The houses are somewhat more modern then the majority of the village on the outside displaying the wealth of members of this clan.

Kurome sits in her office in the Uchiha village, sighing faintly. "You'd think they would run out of things for me to do…" she mutters. The woman glances at the clock. Almost six… PM. She told Hige to come at 6:30, so she starts to clean up all the paperwork so that she can at least /appear/ organized. "And then everything blows up at once…" she mutters to herself.
Unfortunately for Kurome, Hige might be one of the few people who have a schedule busier than hers at this point. What with the Jounin stuff, Clan Elder stuff, and whatever DAisuke throws at him…Hige seems to be the catchall! Perhaps because he's still young enough to handle it? Maybe…maybe. Regardless, he's early, and he hopes Kurome is free otherwise there's going to be some rescheduling. The teen raps lightly on Kurome's office door before running a hand through his hair, Konsho next to him while they wait for the Uchiha to answer.
Well, Kurome is free! Just busy. So one of her assistants comes to let Hige (and Konsho?) into the room. "Kurome-sama will be right with you," the servant would say. After a couple minutes of waiting, Hige would be directed to Kurome's actual office. "You're a bit early," Kurome remarks. "I'm glad I finished what I needed before you showed up, Hige-kun. I needed to ask something of you, and I'm feeling as if you already know what it is. That being said, you can always refuse."
Hige and Konsho both enter, and wait without seeming bothered by it. When they come into Kurome's office Hige flops into an open chair while Konsho sits nearby. The teen gives a nod of greeting to the Uchiha before he shakes his head lightly. He…may have just come from training. There's some dust on his clothes and a few twigs in his hair. "At this point I don't assume anything Kurome. I have so much on my mind I'm not entirely sure I'm even sane anymore." Especially after the whole thing with Akane…"What's up?"
Kurome smiles faintly. "Heh… gomen… You do have a lot on your plate." Kurome nods lightly to a scroll on her desk. "I told Nogoro that I'd come and see him, of course. But I want some backup in the wings. Would you be available for a mission in… Say… Two days? Hopefully nothing goes wrong, but…
"Perhaps I can free up some time," Hige says, eyeing the scroll for a moment before looking back up at Kurome. "But first, how about a little more information on this guy. Admittedly I haven't had much of a chance to look into it myself but I figured if it was an issue you would let me know. Who is he and what exactly are you two up to?"
"Shippodoku Nogoro. He's not affiliated with the villages. The day I met him was the day my Sharingan were activated, but I never used them because of the times. He killed my father," Kurome explains. "I don't know what he's up to, though… And admittedly, I want to kill him right away and get this over with. But there are too many questions and no answers. So until those questions are answered, I will try and keep him alive." Kurome's eyes close for a moment. "For this all to appear now… Is annoying."
Hige quirks a brow as she tells him who the man was…in a way. There wasn't exactly a lot of backstory given with that information after all. "Interesting. Has he stated yet why he sought you out?" Hige and Konsho exchange a glance, their silent communication eery as they say nothing outloud but appear to speak volumes between each other.
Kurome shakes her head. "I've not the faintest idea. This is only the second time I've met him, after all." The woman leans back in her seat. "Do you know why your enemies seek you out?" she counter-asks.
"Generally to try and kill me," Hige responds immediately before reaching out towards the scroll on the desk to review it. "What other reason do enemies usually seek you out? The fact that he didn't try and do anything at the time makes me think he's either biding his time or he has something else in mind and may not exactly be your enemy." He pauses as he scans the scroll, then sighs softly and nods. "Regardless, I'll go with you. If something happens to you they'd probably just make me in charge of your Village too in order to spite me."
"Considering it was this specific, I think there's something deeper… Anyway, I do need to question him." She smirks when Hige brings up even more duties. "Nonsense… If something happened to me, they would keep the elders in power. I know they quite enjoy their positions, and sadly I can't even kick them off." Kurome rolls her eyes just a bit before she hears a scream from upstairs that's quickly cut off. "Wha-" she says, barely getting it out before something clanks onto the ground. There's a faint hissing noise as the sleeping gas escapes the canister…

"I could find a way to get rid of them for you," Hige volunteers with a fanged grin. "Give them nightmares they'll never forget. Have to keep up the talk that's been going on about me after all." The scream catches his attention, and then the gas starts entering the room. "Hmm, you really pissed someone off," he says, shifting around as the gas envelops him and trying to fight off it's effects.

Kurome struggles against the effects of the gas, feeling a bit drowsy. The only thing she really can do is activate her Sharingan, bright red eyes practically shining through the haze. "Are… you okay… Hige-kun? Konsho-kun?" she asks. The fog was starting to dissipate, at least! But that meant that whoever tossed the gas in was already fleeing.
"I've had better days," Hige mutters, glancing over to Konsho who's trying not to topple over. At least Hige has the chair. And a strong will. The teen grits his teeth as he slowly forces himself to his feet, using the chair for support and covering his mouth and nose with the free hand. "It's your village Head. What do you want me to do."

Kurome is just trying to look around and see what's going on, but the gas stings her eyes and she can hardly see as it is. "Figure out who attacked. Track them down or try to find a trail if they're not nearby," she orders. "I'll catch up shortly."
Hige would notice a trail, of course. Something pretty obvious: a string that was coming from the canister itself. Perhaps it led somewhere? Once he spots that, it would be easy to get out of the offending sleeping gas to find the trail. Three people were strangers, and one smelled… A bit like Kurome?
Hige nods, then raises his arm to his mouth and bites, fangs piercing his skin and causing it to bleed, but also helping to wake him up. "Konsho," he says, lowering his arm again as the pup does the same thing. "Let's go." The two spot the string and flash away to where it leads, stopping around the strangers, small but in a bit of a blood craze apparently from the bite. "Someone better talk. Fast." That's all that comes out in a low growl for the moment, eyes flicking over the strangers quickly.
Kurome stumbles out of her office, though being out of the sleeping gas helps clear her mind. She starts to look around, and eventually she would see the chakra signatures of Hige and Konsho. "Maybe… A few more minutes wouldn't hurt…" she mumbles, even as her vision fades a bit.
The four would stare at Hige, three pairs filled with hate and one filled with fear. They would offer no response. Then one steps forward. "Mmm…. No." And then he transforms completely into a large white … Elephant? As do the other two! So now there are three larger than huge animals in the Uchiha village, and one of them is trying to run with his/her/its captive while the other two hold up Hige and Konsho by slamming their trunks to the ground. Added bonus: if they hit Hige, he might be crushed.

"Sorry Kurome…" Hige mutters under his breath, slipping onto all fours before one of those elephants manages to smash into him, knocking him into the air flipping a bit before he lands on all fours and slides, claws digging deep into the earth as they elongate along with his fangs. "Someone's gonna hurt," he growls before he and Konsho vanish, reappearing in the air and spinning in an odd way as they come in low and fast…trying to knock into all three elephants as painfully as they can and knock them into the air so they can't run.

The elephants seem to cluster together, bracing against the storm of Hige's attacks. One of them is knocked down, which means that they're out for a bit to just get back up. The other wildly swings its trunk while the third continues to dash out with its package! Kurome eventually comes over, blinking at the giant white elephants in the middle of the village. "And now I've seen it all…" she comments, making a few hand seals and trying to catch the eye of the downed elephant.

Hige grumbles mentally at these elephants, slipping away from the one that comes at him again before he launches up into the air with Konsho nearby and starts coming down at the elephant trio. Some may be down for the moment but they were still going to try and hit them all. "What the specter is this Kurome?" he asks from his lightning spin, causing damage to elephant and surroundings alike. Oops…

Kurome frowns when Hige destroys part of the village. She'll get him to pay for the repairs… The woman's eyes flick to the trapped elephant, who is likely experiencing some vertigo when Hige claws his way into the other one. Of course, this gives the final elephant a chance to escape completely. Kurome blinks as she notices something out of the corner of her eye, and a lot of the blood drains from her face. "…" She didn't say anything, of course, and any attack from here would have failed. "Hige-kun… We're going after them… But for now, let them be. These two are going to be questioned." At least, that was what she had in mind. Hige could do something on his own, though!
Hige looks at the crater he'd left in the ground and a bit of, uh, building destruction. Ah well. When Kurome calls it off he shrugs a bit and nods, looking after the last one for a moment. He has the scent. Should it be near again he would know, and then it wouldn't be so lucky. For now he wouldn't leave these two to Kurome alone. "Your show," he says simply as he looks back to Kurome, covered in blood.
