Summary:
One long running mega-scene combining three scenes in one. In the first part, Hanadzura teaches Taiki a bit about tracking and stealth in an unsual manner. Then Hitoshi and Taiki practice this "game" themselves. Finally Eremi and Ryo walk in on them, and they talk about graduating the academy and teams.
"Hide and seek, Ninja Style"
Training Area #26 - Genin Training [Konohagakure]
Training! It's what genbins do, when they aren't off rescuing cats or whatnot. And today, Hanadzura is the one doing the training. She's killing time while she waits for the Genin to arrive by training herself, with the enormous Tosa ninken that was chosen as her companion. The Chuunin loks half a dog herself- chasing after her companion on all fours, occasionally catching up only to tackle a log or a rock. sure, msot Chuunin like to hang outn acting all cool and broody, but that's boring.
Speaking of Genin, here comes one now. Or actually two if you count the nin-dog at his side, and if you were smart you would as they are a team. They appear lightly bandaged though, as if they had been injured somehow and are in the final stages of healing. This is further evidenced by the boy stretching his arms high above him as he enters the field. "Man Shinobu… it's good to be out of that place… I need to work some of the kinks out, y'know?"
The dog identified as Shinobu barks a couple of times in response, wagging his tail and stretching as he does. Taiki's partner is also lightly bandaged around the stomach area, but other than a slight twitch seems okay. He barks again, to which Taiki answers, "I don't know. The message just said to come out here when released. Tell you what, we'll find some nice rabbit later, okay?" Any further conversation is halted as Taiki spies the Chuunin and her ninken. "Wow…" he says as he watches them train.
Suddenly the Chuunin and her ninken come hurtling towards each other, and just as they seem about to collide, they both poof into a cloud of smoke. A moment later, she tosses an apple out of the tree, and tosses it Taiki's way- aiming to beam him in the head. She's standing upside down on the bottom of the branch, whicle the enormous Tosa Enshokumaru balances carefully on the top. "Hey Pup." the female Inuzuka calls out, and then drops down from the tree, flipping over to land on her feet.
Taiki blinks as both ninken and Inuzuka disappear, only to hear the faint rustling a moment later. His face turns in time to see the apple headed his way, causing him to try to step to the side. While he's not fast enough to get his head out of the way completely, he does manage to get it to a point that the impact would have been a glancing blow, had it not been for Shinobu who jumped up and caught the apple. Taiki smiles at his partner and holds out his hand, allowing the apple to be deposited there. Finally he straightens up and gives a wave toward the Chuunin. "Hey there." She seems familiar, but he can't quite pin it down.
The Chuunin looks around a bit then, and she says, "So where's this other Genin?" She wonders then, there were supposed to be a couple of them. "Well, nevermind. We may as well get started anyhow. Today's training will be a game of hide and seek." she anounces, as if it were the most serious thing in the world. "You're going to hide, while me and Enshokumaru are going to find you." She tells them, grinning a bit. She has slightly pointy canines, like her companion. "We'll give you a little head start, of course. And we don't expect you to stay hidden… but it's how long you can evade us that counts."
Taiki and Shinobu stand there blinking for just a few seconds before looking at each other. They then turn their gazes toward the Chuunin before again turning their gazes toward each other. Shrugging, Taiki puts the apple away and then turns his attention toward their sensei for the day. "Hai," he says simply. No loud outbursts of how she won't catch them, now growl of challenge. But there is still pride in his gaze and in that one word. With just a tap on the side of his pants, both ninken and Inuzuka turn and run, not for the trees but for the larger grass. Soon they both disappear into it, doing their best to hide.
The Chuunin stands there a while, while the enormous Tosa- Nearly as tall as she is (Which isn't that hard, being as she's only just barely five feet tall) at the shoulders. She stands there for a few minutes, giving the boy and his ninken a head start. Before she sudenly drops down to all fours, and starts bounding after him- Tosa running alongside him. As they bound along, the two of them get harder to tell apart- a clever use of the Henge technique giving Enshokumaru human charicteristics, and Hanadzura the charicteristics of her canine companion.
In the meantime as soon as they entered the taller grass Taiki also went down to all fours, his body becoming a little more feral in appearance. He and his dog nod to each other as they begin to set up a plan. Shinobu jumps down to a soft spot in the dirt and begins to roll in it while the Inuzuka does his best to become one with the ground, where the clutter is thickest. He knows its only a matter of time before the other Inuzuka duo find them, but he hopes to be able to avoid being "captured" when they do… they'll have to wait and see if their plan works.
The Female Inuzuka and her canine plit up then, spreading out to begin circling the field while they try to pick up the boy and canines scent. Both sniff the air for a few moments, "Hmm. clever trick." One of them murmurs- it's unclear which is which at this point. Either way, they begin closing in again, perhas getting closer will elp overcome the smell of the mud.
The hunters aren't the only ones sniffing the air, so are the dynamic duo of Taiki and Shinobu. But unlike there hunters, they at least have some slight clue as to who is where. But for the moment they remain still, not moving even a millimeter. Noise will give them away as sure as their scents will, so its best to make as little as possible. Only… he wish the grass wasn't tickling his nose…

Hanadzura catches a whiff of scent on the wind, and suddenly she unleashes a howl to her canine companion. Their meandering pincer suddnely begins to close in on the Genin and his Ninken, though with the head start, there's still time for them to find a new hiding place.

Taiki sneezes, but tries to hold it back so it comes out more as a snort than anything else. The howl then reverberates through the air, causing Taiki to curse queitly while Shinobu growls. "B," is all he whispers as the pair try to move to another position as quietly as they can. Hopefully the noise the hunters are making will keep them from being heard.

Enshokumaru's ear twitches and this time it's he who issues the howl. The two of them turn on aneedle point, moving on an intercept course towards the Genin and his Canine Companion. Bounding through the tall grass like hunters chasing their prey.

Stealth was one those things that Taiki was simply no good at. But his ears pick up on the change in route the instructors were taking. 'It's only a matter of time," he thinks to himself, only to shake his head of such thoughts. "C," he calls out before the pair break apart, attempting to turn the tables and surround their hunters. Taiki picks the human woman to try to reverse ambush. Here goes nothing…

Sensing the sudden change in direction from the Genin, the Chuunin jumps clear over him, spinning in the air to land on all fours on the other side of him. Long nailed fingers dig into the dirt to cancel out her inertia, and kick grass and soil int the air as she bounds after him again. Meanwhile, her Ninken is rapidly closing in on Taiki's.

Taiki can feel the hair on the back of his neck stand up now, as he feels Hanadzura closing in on him. He tries one last bid to avoid getting caught. Dropping all pretense of stealth, he barks twice himself, "Woof! Woof!" loud enough for Shinobu to hear. The two turn towards the nearest edge of the tall grass and run in an all-out sprint for the borders. Hiding has proven worse than useless, now to try running…

The Chuunin continues chasing after Taiki, by now panting a little at sustaining the effort of running along on all fours so long- he probably hasn't exerted as much energy as she has, for a start. But she's relentless, and quick, especially on all fours. Enshokumaru falls into formation alongside her, chasing after the Genin and his ninken, the Tosa's tongue lolling out of the side of his mouth. As they close in, the pair of them will leap and attempt to tag the Genin on his back, or nip the canine's tail to let them know they've been caught.

The noises of a chase and the sounds of animals was hard to ignore when you were coming out here to read and study scrolls. Having given up the endeavor and having packed the scrolls away into his backpack, Hitoshi had decided to take up a position to watch the goings on. Sitting in a tree and kind of watching from a distance for now, he tilts his head, smiling a little bit as it appears that the Chuunin's finally turning the tables a little.
"To join in or not to," he muses idly, tilting his head a little. "Hmm…"

Perhaps its the lack of logs in the area, or maybe the crates are a bit more difficult to move, but either way the Kawarmi didn't /quite/ go off with the timing Taiki expected. Instead Taiki is tagged just before the ninjutsu takes effect, leaving a crate of training scrolls to fall onto Hanadzura's outstretched hand as Taiki reappears just outside the tall grass area. Taiki just couldn't dodge, since they were too far apart for the jutsu to cover them both, but soon comes bounding out to land on Taiki's back. The pair are breathing heavily, since they've been in the hospital for a week, but are otherwise fine and waiting for their trainer.

Hana skids to a stop, leaving trails in the dirt as her hands and feet dig in to stop her rapid movement. She finally stands up on two feet, and dusts off her muddy knees. "Phew. That was a nice work-out." She tells the Genin then. "Nice trick with the mud. You sure you're not secretly a Delta?" she wonders then.

When the pair goes skidding, Hitoshi winces slightly, and chuckles a little, tilting his head still and nodding. From his likely-visible perch, he begins to clap for both of them, still grinning a little bit and nodding approvingly.
"Very nice!" he calls out, cheering a bit, and finally calming down into a chuckle. "You're both very fast."
Taiki laughs and shakes his head. "Naw, I'm not fast enough for them," he says as he shakes his head. "I did get some advice from them though, after I noticed I suck at stealth. Besides, I'm too good at ninjutsu to be anything other than what I am." Just then he hears a voice calling out, one that seems somewhat familiar to him. Turning to a side he sees Hitoshi standing on his perch. "Thanks, but there's still a lot of room for improvement!" he calls out. Shinobu barks in obvious agreement before shaking some of said mud off of his body.
Tosa plods over, calm now, and not looking nearly so fercious as he pants happily. Handzura gives him a hug, and lets him plant slobbery dog kisses on her face, before she shoves him off. "Gerrof you lump." She affecianately chides the canine, and then ruffles the fur on his neck. "Well, I was going to give you some pointers but it looks like that took longer than I was expecting. You three can carry on." she indicates the other Genin in the area, "Take it in turns practicing stealth and tracking techniques. I need to see to cousin Kou, she's insisting she's ready for her pup." She tells the other Inuzuka then.
With that, the other Genin takes a step and falls - with little ceremony - to the ground, crouched down on his knee. He doesn't raise up immediately, remaining crouched. The backpack containing his scrolls is removed and it plops down on the ground beside him - and he takes a deep breath. A kunai is slipped into his hand from a small sheath on his leg, then, and he holds himself ready, still crouched down, grinning a little bit in Taiki's direction as he waits calmly. He seems to just kind of watch Taiki for a moment, tilting his head.
"Been a little while since we got to do this, Taiki-san. Think you can still school me like you did in the Academy?" He grins. A little friendly chiding doesn't hurt when doing these kinds of things. Right?

Taiki smiles at the older Inuzuka and his ninken and just chuckles at their antics. Shinobu walks up to Taiki and barks, causing the younger Inuzuka to bend slightly to muss the hair on Shinobu's head. Taiki may not be as loud and boisterous as most Inuzuka, but he /is/ an Inuzuka, with all that entails. "Kou? Already? Is she even old enough?" he asks, sounding slightly dumbfounded. "I didn't get partnered with Shinobu until…" He stops there and shrugs, not really going any further on that topic.
Thankfully Hitoshi provides a much needed distraction from that thought. He turns toward the new genin and smirks. "So they let you graduate, eh Hitoshi'san? Well, I'm sure that means you had to improve /some/ since I graduated. But do you think it will be enough?" Friendly banter deserves friendly banter in return. "Sure, let's see what you got. You go hide, and let's see if you can evade me."

"Not really, she's only six, she's only just started learning the Henge technique." the older Inuzuka sighs. "I'm going to need t let her down gently. This bit always sucks, but, needs must." She saus, shrugs helplessly, and then offers a lazy salute to the pair before her and her Ninken leap away into the trees.
"Heh. Who says I'm not already hiding?"
At that point, Hitoshi raises a hand, gesturing the boy to try and keep up with him… and in a quick -split,- he's gone, and apparently taking off into the woods to try and keep the boy off the trail. "Let's see if your nose can help you against me on this!" he calls out, grinning and smirking as he kind of taunts the INuzuka into the woods…

Like the Chunnin before him, Taiki doesn't take off immediately. Instead he focuses chakra himself to prepare for another game of fox and hound. "Hide yourself well, Hitashi'san, for I'm coming after you!" He just grins at his ninken who seems to be preparing himself as well. It may not be fair, two against one, but life isn't, and that's what this training is about…

Mm. And so Hitoshi heads further into the woods, in that case. And as he does, he decides to leave some clues. The Inuzuka is likely to hear dull thuds of metal on wood… he's leaving a trail. The rustling of foliage would eventually fade, as well…

Taiki slowly counts down, and upon reaching the end of his count races into the forest with Shinobu following right after. The pair seem to drift apart, but still within eye contact with each other as he and the ninken keep tracking. They pick up Hitoshi's scent and begin to follow it. But still Hitoshi is far enough away to shift positions and hopefully throw his pursuers off, if he wants to.

Thunk. Thunk. Thunk. There's still a bit of an odd noise of metal on wood. Hitoshi is also still running as he tries to find himself a spot to get deeper into the foliage. In the meantime… he's working on handseals of some sort. Perhaps he's got something up his sleeve?

Taiki smiles as he starts hearing that thunking. "You'll never get really good at stealth until you can hide that noise, Hitoshi'san…" he calls out. Shinobu breaks off and disappears into the foliage as Taiki turns to the side, seeming to run in a different direction than straight on after his target. He doesn't try to hide his own presence at the moment though, instead opting for confusing the other genin.

There's an odd sort of echo as he continues to seemingly keep making those dull thudding noises. Bam, bam.
Rustle, rustle.
Poof?!
"Come on! You're not gonna catch up if you don't speed up, Taiki-san!" He grins a little…

Having finally found himself some foliage to bury into, Hitoshi watches from the safety of that as Taiki seems to overlook him. That howl, though… It makes a small shudder curl up his spine. He nods, and grins a little bit, taking a breath and waiting… until his opponent's back is at him. Three kunai, then, would go cutting through the air, into Taiki's general direction.
A distraction, again?!
They're followed one or two seconds later by Hitoshi himself, as he comes bursting out toward Taiki, his fists swinging as he yells out. "GOTCHA!"

Taiki spent this time re-orienting as he listened for something. Just as well as he did when he hears and smells Hitoshi behind him! "Aw damn… I passed the mark…" He shakes his head as he runs through a couple of handseals before calling out, "Kawarmi no jutsu!" A puff of smoke appears and Hitoshi finds himself attacking a log. Just then a rustle in the foliage is heard before Hitoshi comes under attack from two directions at once! From behind he is leapt upon by Shinobu, who was answering the howl to return to his partner and witnessed the ambush. The other is from Taiki himself, who is working better than he ever had before with his nin-dog. A wilder-looking Taiki aims a punch at Hitoshi's stomach. Thus it ends up with Shinobu hitting high and from behind, while Taiki comes in low from the front. If this works, they'll fold Hitoshi in half.

As Hitoshi seems to attack a log, he realizes he's fallen into a trap! Quick handseals, as the whole situation seems to get sour… Two attackers from opposite sides! He growls a little, continuing to throw his handseals… "BUNSHIN!"
POP! POP! There's then, suddenly, three Hitoshi to try and attack and actually fold against Taiki. They fight valiantly, but alas, the dog and the dog-man take them down!
Wait, where'd the third Hitoshi go? He's coming from Taiki's side, flying as he attempts to land a jump-kick against the Inuzuka!
"… But no dice!"

Taiki does something else unexpected at this point. Everyone that knows him knows he's a budding ninjutsu expert. Kawarmi is his favorite defense, followed by clone technique. Rarely does he ever do a normal taijutsu defense… until now. He actually side-steps Hitoshi!
"I have to admit Hitoshi'san, you've gotten better. I'm glad to see it," he says with a smile on his lips. "But you see, so have I!" With this Shinobu comes in low, aiming to bite Hitoshi on the leg. While Hitoshi is distracted by Shinobu, Taiki follows up with a punch toward Hitoshi's chin, aiming to put the boy on his back.

Just as Hitoshi has spawned up a couple of more confusion-clones, that dog had latched down on his leg and he howled out, "BUNSHIIIIIIIIIN!"
The punch catches the clone that he had thrown up square in the jaw, and thus, it's short-lived. In the meantime, he's trying to shake the dog off, howling out, "GET 'EM OFF!"

Taiki disappears when the last punch from Hitoshi comes in, replaced by yet another log. The use of dodging appears to be short lived. "Well, according to the rules, I win this one Hitoshi'san," he says with a grin as he takes a step back and gives a sharp whistle.
Shinobu lets go of Hitoshi and trots back over to his partner. Taiki's breathing hard though, it looks like that fight took a lot out of him. He looks Hitoshi in the eye and says, "You've gotten much better. This could have gone either way. But I need a rest before I hide…" He motions Hitoshi to follow as he and Shinobu leave the woods to find some water and a little rest before the games go on.

Rubbing at his leg a little before sliding off of the ground where he had ended up on his bottom, Hitoshi nods slightly as Taiki claims victory, grinning a little bit and nodding still… "That's true, I guess. It was still quite exciting. I guess your sense of smell's gotten better," he jokes lightly, grinning as he moves to walk alongside the other shinobi, elbowing him slightly.
"I've got some drinks in my pack when we get back to the clearing," he notes quietly, rolling his neck a little bit and groaning. "You've got a little bit of an advantage on the speed," he notes quietly…

Seeking little more then to train alone, Eremi found it hard to do as from the tree branch where he hid and peered through the foliage, others were already here. Normally the genin would count this area as a loss and continue else where, but he decided to take a different approach this time. Something his sensei would approve of, that being improving his skill in stealth, tracking and reconassaince.
The boy had a clear view of the two from his location as he watched them perform in a type of training he had never participated in before, only to pause and start to head off.
Not wanting to miss what else might happen, he jumped to the next nearby tree, then the next continuing to try to stay hidden. It wasn't going to be easy though, no matter how well he hid, Taiki knew his scent well. If he wasn't found, that would be surprising.

Though he was not a student, Ryo would attempt to hide and watch the others. He figured it would make for some good training. He would stand behind a rather large tree so that his body was completely hidden. Then he would lean over and peak out with his bald head. He had hoped that no one would see him. As the two boys begin to walk away, he would wait until they were far ahead and then try to move further down the path after them.

Being an Inuzuka, perception skills are something that's almost innate to Taiki. Comes from working with dogs so much, eventually when a deep enough bond is formed you learn their tricks and techniques. So it should come to no surprise when he can smell the presence of others nearby.
Still the Inuzuka talks to his training partner as Shinobu leaps up to catch a ride on Taiki's head. "I have some water and some jerky, apparently left that Inuzuka Chuunin I was working with earlier. You're welcome to some if you want." Shinobu barks a couple of yips, causing Taiki to smirk. "Don't worry Shinobu, I'm sure there's plenty there, even if the likelihood of it being rabbit jerky is slim…"
As he passes Eremi's position he asks, as if to air, "Isn't that right Eremi?" He then chuckles and shrugs as they break through the forest line and into the clearing. Low and behold, there is a bag there. "You might as well come out as well, Uchiha'san."

Hitoshi stops in his response to Taiki as he seems to respond to someone that's not even -there.- He sort of just blinks a moment, then glances around…
He hadn't even heard or seen anyone. But apparently, they're not alone. "Your hearing's too good, Taiki-san," he remarks lightly… and, as he passes it, he ducks down, picking up his bag and slinging it over his shoulder for a moment, before repositioning it in front of himself and unzipping the main part. Two bottles of water come out. "I'll pass on the jerky, but here." He offers one of the water bottles to Taiki, grinning a little bit…

The two genin were about to pass by and Eremi would have simply been able to continue his own training, but even though he was expecting Taiki to find him, he had hoped it wouldn't have been so soon. Frozen in his spot as the inuzuka responded to him, he at least took satisfaction in knowing that the other had not spotted him…or had Hitoshi? Nothing could be certain at this point anymore. It started to make Eremi nervous as his eyes darted around the area in a panic and to make matters worse, he was sure he spotted a bald child off in the distance. An ambush? It couldn't be. He'd grab for a kunai, but Taiki was showing calm in the situation at hand. Maybe the boy should as well. With that, Eremi took in a deep breath before jumping from the branch and on to the path in front. "Hello" was said with a bow and nothing more was given.

Ryo was kind of shocked as another boy had seemed to be hiding. He had not sensed that kid at all. "Uh hello." He states as he walks out from behind the tree. "You got me. I just wanted to practice with some of the big kids." He would look between the others and wait to be told to go away or accepted into whatever it was they were about to do.

Taiki chuckles first at Hitoshi's words. "It comes with bonding with the ninken," he says, pointing to his head where a tired Shinobu is panting. "Hearing and Smell are a dog's most sensitive senses. As our bond grows stronger, we gain similar abilities. I was able to hear them, but I was able to identify them by smell even more, seeing as how I know them both. Can you hand me some of the jerky then, I am rather hungry."
The Inuzuka's attention turns toward his longtime friend as he takes the proferred water, gifting him with a smile. "Hey Eremi. How's things going? I heard you got a team… congratulations. Who all is on it?"
Ryo gets a glance from Taiki before he motions the student closer. "Come on over Uchiha'san. It was't /too/ long ago that we were students ourselves. Hitoshi is from the most recent Academy class after all. I don't think any of us are going to object to your presence."

As the water's taken, Hitoshi continues to dig into the other bag, in that case, pulling out a brown paper wrapper… and tossing the packet toward Taiki, nodding a little bit as he moves to settle onto the ground, stretching his arms, before opening up his own bottle of water. "Here's to the Inuzuka nose and ears, then," he proclaims, chuckling a little and quietly taking a sip of his water, before looking toward Eremi as he seems to make his appearance, and he smiles, nodding his head slightly.
"'Ello," he greets lightly… and then, his attention turns toward Ryo as he blinks, smiling a little. "Taiki-san's got a point," he notes lightly, "and it's not a bad thing that you're trying to work on your skills now."

Eremi straightened up, clenching his hands into fists at his side, eyes darting between those in front of him. Lately he was finding himself being more active with others, but it was still hard to manage. His attention shifted toward Taiki however, making a comment that was easy enough to grab his attention. "Thanks! I didn't know the information was spreading so quickly." A quick glance to the other two, making sure of their positioning before returning to the conversation, "Well, there's Kaydin the Hyuuga and Daichi the cleaver weilding medic and our sensei, Akimichi Tosai. They're all really skilled and I'm hard pressed to try and catch up." The boy tilted his head a bit, eyes moving toward Hitoshi, "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Satonezu, Eremi." The same was given to Ryo.

Ryo moved over towards the group. He was surprised that Eremi had a group until he heard who was on it. He only knew of Tosai and Daichi. He then looks at Hitoshi. He offers a bow. "Was graduation easy?" The boy asks. He seems excited about it though. "I have a few more jutsu to learn before I can become a genin. Mainly how to henge and detecting genjutsu. Then I will be able to do missions and other cool stuff."

Taiki nods in agreement to what Hitoshi told Ryo, then chose to answer Eremi's remarks. "It's not wide spread knowledge, but those from our graduating class have been keeping track. Unless I'm missing someone, I'm the last out of our class without a team. But then again, spending that time working on Clan matters kinda put a dent in my training," he says with a shrug. "But I'm getting back into the swing of things, so it's all good."
After opening the package he got tossed by Hitoshi, he breaks off a piece and hands it to Shinobu, who jumps down to the ground to eat it. Taiki himself breaks off a small piece and chews it as he takes a seat on the ground. "I'm glad yer being challenged Eremi. It makes you stronger, which allows ya to reach yer goals. At least that's what Hanadzura'san tells me. I figure she'd know better than anyone, given what she does."

"I wouldn't say it's put a big dent in your work," Hitoshi offhandedly remarks, sipping on his water still as he looks between the three idly, his expression kind of relaxed and sort of happy to be among the people around him. "Your tracking skills've improved." Rolling his neck slightly, he looks toward Eremi, smiling a little. "Satonezu-san… It sounds like you have some interesting teammates, to say the least." He then pauses, looking toward Ryo and hrming slightly as he tilts his head… "Graduation, easy? Well… I guess it is, if you work and study hard," he remarks lightly, sipping on his water again. "You only cherish in the amount of work and effort you put into learning your trade… same goes for how you serve the village. You get what you give."

Eremi would nod in response to Hitoshi, "They are indeed interesting, but surprisingly loyal to each other, despite how they act sometimes…" Trailing off as he turned back to Taiki, "I'm glad too, but my goals are pretty far away. Some day, maybe." The boy would pause for a moment, as he tried to picture who this person spoken of was, "Who is Hanadzura?" Curious only to the point if he should be worried, but shrugged glancing at Ryo, "I hear, in other nations the genin exams make you kill your classmates. Only rumors though, I hope"

Ryo's eyes widen as the boy suggests the horrible concept of killing a classmate. "That would be extremely difficult. I cannot even imagine what that would do to someone. Being forced to kill someone you trained with. I mean if you did not like them…" The boy looked kinda sad for a few moments. He obviously was no longer paying attention to what the other two had been speaking about.
COMBAT: Ryo finishes his turn.

Taiki turns to Ryo and smiles. "Graduation was easy for me, but then I was 3rd in my class, right behind the leading Rookie and the leading kunoichi," he says with a shrug. "Truth be told, I mainly got there on the strength of my ninjutsu, that being my best skill. Surprising, isn't it?" The last part was said to one and all.
"Inuzuka Handzura," Taiki says with a grin. "A chuunin from my clan. She's to taijutsu what I am to ninjutsu amongst my clan. She was apparently assigned to help get me into some sembelence of combat readiness since I was just discharged from the hospital."
Finally his attention turns toward Hitoshi, "By no means am I to hear you sell yourself short, Hitoshi'san. You're pretty good, and what I saw of your ninjutsu puts you pretty high up there for an academy graduate. I'm not that far above you, actually. Most of my time since I graduated was spent doing work for my clan, so I didn't get much of a chance to practice. I meant it when I said we're about even."
COMBAT: Taiki finishes his turn.

"Mm. No, I'm not selling myself short, Taiki-san. I'm just simply expressing my opinion on how things tend to work!"
Hitoshi smiles, then, waving his hand a little bit, rolling his neck and sighing slightly. "Nah… You'll do fine, I'm sure, Uchiha-san," he remarks quietly, grinning a little… He snickers a little, shaking his head… He does glance toward Eremi, though, tilting his head…

Eremi could tell Ryo was upset by the conversation and he didn't mean to make the boy that way, "I'm pretty sure they're just rumors, I wouldn't worry about it. As for the test, I remember being terrified of it and even during it. Even though it was simple enough, it was nerve racking." Hoping that helped some, he turned and smiled at Taiki, "Well that almost sounds like you may have a team forming yourself or at least someone skilled to help you along the way." Nervously he lean back a bit, as Hitoshi was looking at him in silence.
COMBAT: Eremi finishes his turn.

Ryo shakes his head. "Chances are the rumors are true. Especially if it is the mist village. They would sacrifice their own to kill others. It definately would sound like something they might do. Especially after the war stories." The boy shrugged his shoulders. "That just means our village has to get stronger. Thats the only way we can protect our way of life." He shrugs and begins to walk off. "I am going to practice some firestyle. Thank you for the talk you three.".
COMBAT: It is now Taiki's turn.
Taiki nods and waves to Ryo as he leaves before turning toward Eremi. He is quiet for a few moments as he considers things before saying, "I wouldn't mind, to be honest," before shrugging and adding, "The only thing about having Hanadzuri as a sensei would be that she is taijutsu oriented…" He then leans back and hands Shinobu some more jerky before saying, "Me… I'm better suited for ninjutsu, but what I really want to do is add ninjutsu to my clan's taijutsu style. For example, adding lightning to a tsuga would increase its effectiveness dramatically. Now think what could happen with some of the higher power ninjutsus added to… say… a gatsuga? Or an even higher technique?" There's a gleam in his eyes when he talks about this vision. Taiki, known for being a ninjutsu based Inuzuka, has never once said what his dreams were. It's obvious he's describing one of the major ones.
