Summary:
The hunt is on for an up-and-coming Bandit Lord. But all may not entirely be as it seems…
"In With A Surprise"
Land of Fire - Haniguchi Castle
Itsuki the Terrific fancied himself a Bandit Lord of sorts. And what lord worth his salt would be without a castle! Or Minions! Lots and lots of minions! Despite daring to set up roots knowing the law was not on the great bandit and his followers side, it took some time for one of Konoha's scouting parties to actually find them. None had expected for the man to take up residence in what should've been a defunct castle. Although derelict by most modern standards Haniguchi Castle retained enough of its foritifactions to ensure a lengthy seige should anyone attempt to take the fortification by force. And Konoha did not truly have the manpower or the inclination for such a heavy handed tactic. But seeing as the ruination of the Bandit Lord was both contract and generally good business for the great shinobi village, a team /had/ been dispatched to cut the head off the snake.
Or extract him. Either or was fine so long as any future problems involving the man and his chronies was dealt with swiftly. Possessing numbers far to large for a single team to eliminate, Uchiha Isura, Sarutobi Zankuro, and Satonezu Akio devised a plan. While Akio and Zankuro would provide a large enough distraction just outside of the castle grounds, Isura would sneak in and see to the missions completion. He needed only wait long enough for a signal. WHich… the duo never did discuss before taking off. In fact, what was there plan anyways?
Well, as it turns out, something to do with fire. And LOTS of it. Enough at least one of four guards standing watch over the eastern entrance to the grounds ran off inside to tell the boss. The other three stood there staring stupidly to the north.
Easy pickings~
Isura yawned from his spot of stealth as he waited before darting in. The young Chuunin thought back to the plan of action and it was then he notices some plot holes in their plan of action mostly with the signal. Flicking his nose and yawning again he figured that Zankuro would use a flare orba smile explosion either case paid him no mind as he stretched out and allowed his chakra to come to a boil. "Hmmm to kill or not to kill that is the question." Isura took a deep slow brith as he started to scout the area for any stragglers or perhaps a better route in that what they previous planed.
Despite there being a good number of bandits within as well as without, none are truly prepared to deal with a hidden adversary. In fact, most aren't even consider over the possibility. What number were on patrol were half-assing it at best. And those that were simply playing guard in certian positions felt more inclined to gossip and gamble. If they felt inclined at all to pay attention to their surroundings, it is because of the guard from earlier racing past on his way to the higher levels shouting "Fire!" every now and then.
"Fire? Pfft! As if anyone is gonna fall for that again. Damn Kichi. Always with the bullshit." A guard just beneath Isura's current perch grumbles to his partner. "Right? Fucking Jackass." The other roguish guy nearby chuckles. "Or maybe dumbass is better, because if its really such a big enough deal for the boss, he should've taken the servant's entrance by the kitchen. Fuck'n straight shot compared to the BS gauntlet." He adds. "Who the hell designed this place anyways?" His partner adds, though by that point Isura has perhaps moved on. Then again, the team didn't exactly have the full run down on the castle, so perhaps a little questioning is in order? The hall they stood in was clear of any patrols, but there was no telling when someone might come by. Bandits weren't exactly known for their efficiency when it comes to order…
Isura infact haven't moved on and thus he swiftly attacked one binding both man with swift and effect shuriken play if successful and followed up by vanishing from sight and knocking one guy clean out while the last guy was still awake. "Tell me more about this kitchen route and while you're at it tell me about your boss as well." Isura slowly pulled out his bladed weapon and placed it to the mans neck. "If I add a little nore pressure it'll cut clean through you know that?"
Though Isura is successful in at least capturing one of the bandit guards in wire, the other proved a bit more perceptive if nothing else. Still, between the surprise of the attack and small space, the man can only get step so far before there's a blade at his neck. Inches further than what Isura intended, but the threat is clear enough to make the bandit hesitate in fully drawing his own katana.
"What… Kitchen? And just who do you think-…" The bandits eyes widen as they fall upon the headband. "Konoha? … Damn it… This was supposed to be an easy gig." He grumbled and glared at Isura's blade. "… Tell you what, ninja. How about… You just die!" And with that, he quickly draws his weapon, taking a cut across the chin in deflecting Isura's sword. With a sharp battle cry, then man swings three times at Isura with all the skill of a determined amateur swordsman.
Isura cursed under his breath at the current situation he was pondering as the man attack weither or not the man was lucky or simply he was getting sluggish and lazy in his old age either case an opening as was spotted as Isura ducked under and slashed the man across the belly although shallow it would cause bleeding and the man would be stun long enough for Isura to re-sheathed the blade and strike with a fearsome series of swift decisive blows before returning to what he was doing. "Perhaps I should take the route less taken…then again it is a straight shot." Isura ponders this before scouting again trying to spot some type of rotation pattern within the ranks.
No final curse. No last second finger. The bandit swordsman dies choking on his own blood after one of the multitude of strikes found his neck at last. His partner is in for a rude awakening later. But for now, it was time to move on.
As Isura continued his search, the only discernible rhyme or reason to groups tactics is that there is never a person alone. If nothing else, Itsuki managed to drill in the concept of the buddy system. But beyond that, their patrol routes weren't really so much as routes but simply wherever a pair or group of the rugged men and women decided to take at any one time. This meant that there was no real telling when the others might be discovered, or even if they would be before morning.
Fortunately, the Uchiha does catch a few delicious scents on the wind, denoting the possibility of a kitchen already in use nearby. In following it instead of straight shot for the stairs, Isura would come across a small group of four bandits taking it easy, and chowing down on what was no doubt the spoils of one of their raids. As for the servants entrance itself, it doesn't seem to be in obvious view. Worst yet, with the exception of the table the bandits were eating at, there were few places of real cover anywhere within the kitchen. There did at least seem to be only the one obvious exit/entrance to the place, however.
Thinking fast Isura transformed into the bandit he just killed and walked right in as he moved down the ranks he was searching for what could be a hallway towards the 'boss', Isura spoke softly to himself as he walked "damnit man can't see to be able to find the bosses room…urgh." Isura tried his best to play the part but only time would tell if it worked out or not. .
At least two out of the four of the bandits look up from their meal as Isura walks in, but one pays attention long enough to catch Isura's comment. "The boss' room?… Hah! Forgot too, eh Ken-ken-chan~" The burliest of the four mocks and bats his eyes jokingly, then lets out a hearty chuckle. "Just take the elevator over there-…" He gestures back over his shoulder. "Course ya better have a good reason for Harama when ya get up to the top. Boss ain't exactly a fan of us using the short cut for nonsense, as you should well remember!" The bandit laughs again, and slaps the back of a nearby compatriot much to their chagrin. This has the unfortunate result of starting an argument that soon consumes the rest, and even threatens to escalate further between the four.
In walking over in the direction the bandit pointed out, Isura would get a better angle on a wall panel cracked slightly open next to the fridge. The servant's route no doubt for the busy bees in between the walls of the castle no doubt. Though the path seems to splinter ahead upon closer inspection, far to the very back is a lit up platform area featuring an old fashioned elevator.
The type that were little more than an open-aired gated platform with a bell meant to signal somewhere else to get it moving up or down.
Isura made his way to the back after searching around he saw the old school elevator and got on once he closed the door he released the henge jutus and reverted back to himself and started to charge as he rode on the elevator he started to think kf simpler times when Zankuro and himself often went on mission and the fun they had before chuckling. "Boy times were much better back then I guess oh well just memories I suppose. I better get ready no telling what I'll find once these doors open up. Isura heart beat begun to slow down as he slowly closed his eyes and focus on the kneeling of his chakra to unleash something powerful upon the likes of whoever was in the area. "Wonder what I'll see once I make it up there."
Several long and virtually uneventful minutes passersby in the poorly lit passage. It may almost feel too long considering what has happened thus far, for surely the bodies could be discovered at any moment! And what about the rest of the team? Surely they couldn't keep the distraction going for too much longer without compromising themselves. Every now and then Isura catches the sound of muffled conversation pass through the walls on the way up. A welcome distraction from any dreary thoughts if not for that fact that nothing distinct enough to make out a word.
Eventually, the quiet creaking of wood and rope draws to a close with a clatter. Through the grate Isura would spy a figure down the passage just then kicking off the wall to spy the elevator. It is unclear if they actually saw Isura past the grate, but whoever it was approached carefully, a hand held at the ready over the hilt of some kind of weapon. "Alright! Come on out nice and easy like always. And this better be good, because I'd hate to tell the boss I had to take care of another idiot too lazy to go the normal route." The figure states, voice masculine by teh sound of it.
Isura waited a bit before slowly releasing the hot air into the room soon afterwards he presented himself with a hand on hilt preparing to draw and cut clean through the man in a moments notice. "I'm only going to ask you once before you hold your insides in you hand where is your boss?" Isura voice was firm and strong as he took a lower stance that would reflect someone of insane speed. "Now talk." Isura order as he kept an eye on the man as well as for his surroundings.
The grey-haired man waiting beyond the elevator was nothing if but prepared for trouble. Seeing the distortion in the air, the man retreated back down the hall a ways, and ducked around one of the two offshoot paths in the hall. He takes a risk after to draw his sword and stuck it into the hall. "Shit man. You must be at least three kinds of stupid to think you can walk up here by yourself and take on the boss. Let alone the likes of me!" And with that said, the blade turns slightly, catching the light in just the right angle to blind Isura if he isn't careful. Harama rushes into the hallway afterwards, blade at his side up until it came time to swing around for a powerful overhead strike.
Isura effortlessly avoided the two strike before dipping low into a stance, and then struck in rapid sessions in an effort to knock the big guy off balance. If successful he would shifts his attention elsewhere. But then again, the guy was huge and looked to be able to take a lot. "If you attack again the next option is it set you and this place ablaze do I make myself clear?" Isura spoke again with a firmness the likes he haven't used before.
After seeing his attack so easily evaded Harama cannot help but lick his lips, and smile eagerly. The smile becomes strained when Isura attacks, striking relentless from angles the man could just barely get his blade up in time to deflect. The exchange leaves the man breathless, yet he narrows his eyes in determination. "Hahah! I take it back! Your not stupid… just insane." He squints at Isura's headband. "But I guess that's konoha for ya. Or maybe that's an Uchiha thing." He adds noting the change to Isura's eyes. "Go ahead and try to burn the place down. Maybe you'll actually finish what your ancestors started. Either way, the boss will be long be long gone by the time this place go down… with you in it!" Harama springs forward, only this time he sought to mimic Isura's earlier display through the blade. While unrefined by comparison, the man's blade work still promised fatal result should metal taste flesh.
Isura forms seals and a large cloud of smoke shrouded him before it cleared with Isura side stepping the blade once again effortlessly. However rather than launch some type of attack he jumped away to create distance. All the while the real Isura scaled along the walks while dipping into his Anbu background to allow him to be invisible to the naked eye. "Now where are you go my friend?" Isura speech was more so to himself rather than out loud.
To intent on clearing a path to his prey, Harama takes no notice of the switch. It was enough that a clear target remained once he cut through the haze of smoke. One he wanted nothing more than to see in pieces…
Fortune continues to favor the Uchiha this day, because no further adversaries await him in the tunnels. Though he does get turned around at least once in his search, eventually the shinobi comes across a promising shout from a door just a few meters ahead. "Fucking Idiot! I can see the damn blaze clearly enough from my room! Now get your ass back out there and help them! And take those other two out there with you. If this turns out to be more than just a little 'accident', I want those responsible for it put down!" There muffled sound of another answer

Seconds later, a pot shatters against the same hidden door resided near by.
"ENOUGH! You all heard what I said. Now get going before one of you gets to take the shortcut down." The voice threatens one last time. Afterwards, Isura might catch the sound of running feet that quickly fade into the distance.
Isura waited a brief moment and allowed the footsteps to go running by him before he slowly entered the room sharingan flaring as he yawned loudly to get his attention "come with me willingly or things might get a little uncomfortable for you." Isura pulled out a cigar and sparked it and took in a nice long slow drag before smirking
Entering the room, Isura spies noone except the lone, and truthfully rather unremarkable looking man. The only thing that really stood out about him was the gaudy clothes on him, and the fact his black hair was tied up into a top knot. The latter of which Isura clearly sees from the start. Itsuki jumps at the sound of a new voice, and then does a curt about face. "Huh? Ah! Its about time you showed up. Where's the rest of your-…" Itsuki pauses, lifts both hands up briefly and shakes his head. "Nevermind. Let's just get out of here before those goons show back up here." He sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. "Can't believe it took them this long to send an extraction team… Anyways, The way /is/ clear back the way you came right, Uchiha? Or is that lunatic Harama still out there?" Itsuki asks warily.

Isura brow raised as the voiced reached out to him and a heavy sigh followed "I assume you're the target…if so I have a better idea that would take much less time than the way I came." Isura started to flash through a couple of seals before pulling back a deep breath as he walked passed the man towards a wall. "Perhaps I'll bust a hole straight through and from there we'll be on our merry way." Isura pounders this before shifting back and readying himself for an different approach.
"Unbelievable — Yes! I am the target. And no, if I had a better idea besides the way you came, I would've got here on my own." Itsuki replies angrily as Isura strode closer to the wall. Despite his anger Itsuki kept his distance upon seeing Isura start cutting through hand seals. "You're joking, right? Please tell me you're joking, 'cause if your not…" He threw his hands up in the air and gave Isura an irritated look. As realization quickly dawns on him that the Uchiha meant every word, Itsuki eyes bug out. "Yer — Oh my goodness! You do realize that we're at least five stories up, right? Not to mention that you'd be attracting a crap ton of attention /back/ to this place! Now unless you got some follow-up plan for all of that, I'd rather just go back the way you came thank you."
Isura listen to the man and once he finished speak drew back and blew a whole in the side of the wall before the outline of the room engulfed in flames. "So you coming or now?" Isura asked as he extended his hand towards him Isura tossed back two metal wires and tied them down before grabbing the man and leaping from the burning building. "Hold on tight cause it gets rather bumpy from this point on." Isura chuckled as he scaled from the fifth floor and bound down the side of the building allowing the metal wire to snag a little while flowing in and out of chakra control while he did it. "Alright now I need to find the path of the up most least resistance.
Itsuki stands there with his mouth agape for a good solid few seconds. Then, he draws his hand down as face as the initial shock fade and mutters something along the lines of "Why me?" before looking to Isura. "Fine. Fine! Let's just get this over with." He states, though by the time his hand goes up, Isura has already taken hold of him. "Wai—!" Is all the man manages to get out before rushing wind of their descent robs the man of his courage. From then on, Itsuki remained quiet, but clung to Isura for dear life.
As for finding the path of least resistance, its actually easy enough to find. Noone had expected the explosion, so what eyes were cast up as a result were more focused on the debris cloud than the figures descending in the shadow of the castle. All Isura had to do was scale down to the extending roof portion of the first floor, leap onto and over outer castle wall, and then it would be smooth sailing from there. Mostly. Kind of. It wouldn't take the bandits /too/ long to figure out that their boss was kidnapped by an outsider. But with a head start and a favorable meeting point for the team, the team of Konoha should would be long gone before any of the brigands can catch up.

If this turns out to be more than just a little 'accident', I want those responsible for it put down!" There muffled sound of another answer
"**** Idiot! I can see the **** blaze clearly enough from my room! Now get your **** back out there and help them! And take those other two out there with you. If this turns out to be more than just a little 'accident', I want those responsible for it put down!" There's muffled sound that follows no doubt denoting an answer from the guard from earlier.

Not to mention that you'd be attracting a **** ton of attention /back/ to this place!
MISSION END?
