Summary:
Fuji, Miyo, and Nori are on security duty as the village throws a New Year's Eve party. A small fight breaks out, and the team's attempt to stop it only makes things worse.

Fujibayashi was the Chuunin called to be in charge of this little soiree. It is the start of a new year for the shinobi villages. With everything that has happened this past year, there is much hope for the next year, so the entire village is partying (villagers and shinobi alike). Of course, there always has to be a few designated non-partiers. Lucky for Fuji, she chose the short straw (or maybe volunteered). The Genin below drinking age are also out on duty. Nori is one of those Genin that was assigned to Fuji's security detail. Nori had done his best to get Miyo to come out too, whether it was to be part of the detail or just to be out and having fun for a change. The mission specs were straight forward…limit anyone getting out of control…stop fights…make sure people are having fun.
Unfortunately for Fujibayashi, she always draws the short straw for these things- despite being a chuunin, she's still below drinking age herself. "Mattaku… mattaku mattaku." She grumbles to herself, as she leans against a post and watches the crowd. "This is such a hassle." She adds a moment later.
Miyo was rather excited to be asked out to do something other than homework or training for once. Security detail? Yes please! She was excited, and was twitching and bouncing with pleasure. "Hassle? This is awesome." She hopped up and down and swiped her arms side-to-side once. "I hope nothing happens, but this is still cool anyway, right Nori-san?" She looks over to Nori who had invited her out.
Nori smirks as Fujibayashi starts PG13 swearing to herself. He even looks between the two girls, "Well Miyo-san, I'm glad you're back in good spirits, and yes…this is awesome. So, tell me again why you don't want to become a shinobi when tasks like this are so fun?" The young Yamanaka boy looks back to Fujibayashi and smirks, "Why aren't you happy today? This is the start of a new year!"
Around them, the crowd of villagers and shinobi are imbibing fluids and eating to their heart's content. It is sort of like a middle of winter feast.
Fujibayashi peers at Nori and Miyo then, "Ah, well, of course it's an honor to do a mission for the hokage." She says then. Her expression says, 'If only it wasn't so lame.' "But, I can't help but feel a /little/ bit jealous that I can't join the party." she admits.
"Hmmm.. parties can be fun. I tend to preer not to be involved in all that jazz, though." Miyo looks over to Fujibayashi. She recognized the girl from somewhere. IT seemed… recent, too, as if she had seen her within a week, but it wasn;t quite coming to her. "Do I know you from somewhere?"
Nori smiles, "But it's just a party. We can party anytime." Not that Nori was really a partier. It is then that the first fight starts to break out. The first man is a villager, while the second one is an actual shinobi. Both are drunk. Nori sighs and looks to Fujibayashi, "This is just a bad publicity stunt waiting to happen. Konohagakure shinobi beats up villager after True Fire Movement Conflict comes to the end. Oh yeah, that'll go over well."
Fujibayashi nods her ehad at Nori and for all her flippancy before, she begins making her way over towards the two men, gesturing for the other two to follow her. When she gets nearby, she'll attempt to drape her arms over both men's shoulders. "You're drunk. Go home." she suggests. Such eloquence.
Miyo watches as the scene begins to unfold, and immediatly has a good idea. She turns to Nori and pokes him, then plucks a stack of seals from a pocket inside her robe and hands him a few. "Here, these will bind people's movement if you stick them to them. Good for stopping people from fighting if they get too rowdy, and not hurting them at all." She then turns and makes her way after Fujibayashi, increasing her speed so as not to fall behind.
Nori starts to move after Fujibayashi only to be stopped by Miyo's poke. He stares down at the seals and ahs, "Oh, ano…cool, but, I don't really know how to activate them." He takes them anyway though and follows after Fujibayashi. The two men both act on drunken instincts and take swings at Fujibayashi as soon as the Chuunin places her hands on them. The villager, while slow, looks like he'd pack a heck of a wallop from years of hard labor. The shinobi on the other hand is fast and agile. Nori blinks and looks to Miyo. "Uh-oh."

Fujibayashi ducks her head under the first punch as it comes her way, and then stands back up, deflecting it away and allowing the other one to pass infront of her, all in one fluid motion. "What sort of men are you, trying to hit a girl? Seriously." She says, tutting and shaking her head. "Go home or I'll drop you both off in the drunk tank and you can cool your heads till morning. Got it?"
Miyo watches the talented and lovely Fujibayashi lay down the law on some fools who decided to get into a little tiff with her, and feels about ready to go and clobber them senseless for their rude behavior, but at best, she turns to Nori and shrugs. "Seems like we'll be busy."
Nori facepalms as the two take swings and just nods to Miyo. "Unfortunately. I don't think I'm ever going to be a drinker." He smirks. The first man swings and a misses Fujibayashi, only to actually hit someone standing next to her. The shinobi who whiffed too, spots this and starts laughing. In his fit of laughter, he stumbles backwards and bumps into someone else, spilling their drink all over them. It is a kunoichi, and she doesn't look too happy. Nori nods to Miyo…"Yeah, we will be." A brawl starts to break out. Next thing each of the security detail know, they have random feet and fists striking at them.

A fist swings out of the crowd and slams into Fujibayashi's face, causing her to see stars for a moment. She's not exactly a glutton for punishment, which is why when a foot comes out of no-where and hits her right in the punch, she lets out a help and hops forwards protecting her rear end from further assault. "Someone… someone will pay for making me do this!" She declares, static dancing over her hair- though she restrains herself from actually, you know, electrocuting the crowd. Just barely. Instead she yells as loud as she can, "Stop this at once or you wil ALL be detained and the party will be cancelled! You hear that!? NO MORE ALCOHOL FOR /ANYONE?"

Miyo finds herself somewhat surprised to be assailed by the party-goers, and when someone attempts to forniate with her head using their hands, she manages to blockade them with her arms before shoving them back, and then proceeds into a wild slap that did not seem to be meant for her, but got her anyway. It took her by surprise and nearly spun her around. "Ow… that hurt…"

Nori immediately pulls up a set of earthen walls around himself so that no one can get into his sacred space. Ahem. He runs up the wall and stares out at what is going on, "Um…Fujibayashi-san, maybe we should probably just like, stun them all somehow? You got any way to do that? I don't." And that is when a bottle is tossed at his head for saying that idea aloud. He ducks.
The crowd doesn't take Fuji's advice. She's a Chuunin. Some of these people are Jounin…drunken Jounin…but Jounin. They out rank her and one says nearly as much, but with a drunken slur. The original villager and shinobi that started the fight both team up and try to tackle Fuji as she tries to be an authority figure. Miyo on the other hand took the brunt of a slap…and it becomes apparent as to why. A drunken woman, easily old enough to be Miyo's mother, says, "You kissed my husband!" Yup, definitely meant for someone else, but…catfight. The drunken, older woman moves to grab Miyo's hair and drag her to the ground.

Fujibayashi forms a hand seal when things start to get even more ridiculous and out of control, and she hops abck, letting a clone take the hit for her. But she stumbles over backwards, and the drunk ends up simply falling ontop of her instead. "Aii! Pervert!" She squeals and then attempts to kick the offending man right in the face. Sometimes instincts take over.

After recovering from the slap, Miyo finds that she is being harangled by some older woman who believes that Miyo, of all girls, kissed her husband. What lunacy! Miyo is about to protest her innocence when the woman assaults her and tries to pull her hair. Her hair! Miyo's preciously, dish-water colored hair. Miyo ducks out of the way, letting the hammered woman stumble past her, and then stiff-arms her face when she attempts to dive onto her and drag her down, and pushes her into the ground. "Hmph."

The villager that is on top of Fuji tries to block Fuji's kick to the face by kissing her…foot…and ends up getting more than he can handle. The man is thrown back and lands on top of Miyo's older woman, whom Miyo put down like a rabid dog. The two are indeed husband and wife. They are lucky to have eachother. Nori just erks and makes two handseals and suddenly Fuji and Miyo would find the earth under them rising. They are lifted out from the crowd and find themselves reigning over it. Nori erks, "Ano…sorry that took so long. So, now there's a brawl, how do we stop this?" Beer bottles start to get thrown at all three of them…as well as other un-speakable objects.

"I could electrocute everyone." Fujibayashi suggests, then, as she straightens out her Yukata. One of the beer bottles hits her right in the head, and her brow begins bleeding a touch. She is getting angry now, so she punches the next one which shatters but the pieces sail by without hurting her. As for the crowd below, well, they shouldn't be throwing bottles. "I am liking the idea of electrocuting everyone so… that's my suggestion." she adds.

Surprisingly enough, Miyo was able to notice the flying bottle out of the entire mass of happenings, and swiftly deflects it, however, she quickly takes another one to the back, which causes her to stumble a bit. She feels a tiny bit dizzy, and falls to the ground, groaning.

Nori just barely manages to dodge the first bottle. It is so close that some of the condensation dripped off onto his nose. He erks and forms another clone to give those below someone else to throw at, and it works. Nori listens to Fuji's suggestion and calls out, "Do it, but aim for the shinobi…they can handle it. Maybe seeing the shinobi fall to the ground will stop the villagers. I can see if I can drain them in other ways too. He starts up with trying to get as many people under a False Surroundings Technique genjutsu as possible…and they'll see a bunch of people getting electrocuted as Fujibayashi sends out her blasts. It has an amplifying effect.

Fujibayashi forms a couple of hand seals, and then several clones of her appear around. They leap off the platform, and each of them tackles someone wearing a forehead protector in the crowd- before bursting into dancing electricity.

After having been rendered nearly unconcious by a bottle, Miyo staggers back to her feet just in time to watch Fujibayashi lay down the law on some fools. Thankfully, Miyo was not among them, and she was able to stand is safety while various members of the associated crowd were being pacified. "Whew… that looks round."
The crowd starts to break up between Fujibayashi's lightning attacks hitting various shinobi and Nori's Genjutsu. The party is officially over. Several people call after Fujibayashi as being annoying and a real mood killer. Nori on the other hand drops down to try and help Miyo. "You okay?" Nori erks and checks her head. "Sorry about that, I should have tried to catch you or something." He frowns. Nori stares over at Fujibayashi as she sends the last of the crowd scattering back home…or, well, wherever they go as long as it isn't here. "Well, now what?"
Fujibayashi scowls at the dissapating crowd until they are done, well, disapatting. And then she shakes her head. "I'll have to file a report." She complains. "I am calling in sick next time I pull security detail." She says then. Before finally noticing Nori's question. "We'll stay here for a while. The fashionably late ninja police will show up any minute now wanting to know what happened. We'll have to give statements, fill in paperwork, wait around for a bit, fill in some more paperwork, give some more statements."
Miyo plops down nearby on whatever she can find to sit upon and rubs her head. She had taken a pretty hefty blow and she was still a bit dazed. "That sounds good. I don't really want to get hit by another bottle." She gives them both a silly grin and then lets out a sigh. "Im going to have to get a hat for my new bump."
Nori nods and waits. He goes about starting to pick up the non-broken bottles and even make a broom out of the earth to sweep aside the broken pieces into one pile. As Nori works, he calls out to Miyo, "Hey, why don't you start your training back up again. You did well tonight." He winks before looking back to Fuji. "I'll go get the police." And he runs off to do just that.
