The opening of the Kazekage Administration Dome leads up a flight of stairs, into the lobby of the expansive building. Looking upwards, the entire building is open to the sky. Each floor is a ring, built with a hole in the center to allow a view both upwards and downwards. It is a very impressive sight, with many people visible moving around the upper levels, and stopping to chat around the railings.
The lobby has a tiled floor, with a intricate concentric circular pattern, and the walls themselves have been actually painted, and have designs etched into the hardened sand. The only piece of furniture on the first floor is a desk, and directly behind that, a stair case moving up to the next level. On either side of the desk are Male guards, their faces covered, and a make secretary is seated behind the desk, ready to take any questions or arrange appointments.
No one proceeds to the upper levels without the secretary approving them, and in most cases the armed guards also check them out to make sure they are carrying no weapons. However, there are a few people who can walk back and forth easily without the guards checking them, although all of them must first speak with the secretary.

The coolest times for the desert were usually in the morning, but it quickly grew hot as the day progressed. Itami felt she wanted to get this meeting down now, because she needed the rest of the day to go lay on top of a roof and sunbathe. That's one thing that hasn't exactly changed with her despite her having left this place and it's something that she does miss, to be truthful.
She'd left, hoping she could get an idea of the world at large and she did, for the most part, but she felt the need to return back to Suna and assist with it as she did before. She could only hope that she could reclaim the position back. With what she knows, she may be able to be of greater assistance than what she was prior.
So, she makes her way into the Kazekage's Office in much the same way she has been stealing around here; without permission. She didn't want to have to go through the secretary. Not this time, at least, but that'd all be changing, starting today, maybe.
It's one of those days when the amount of paperwork needing to be done by the Kazekage — the paperwork he deems necessary enough, even — is enough to keep Sousa in the office. e.e An A-rank mission assignment here, a sign-off on a new irrigation system there, and…several orders to send payments to various merchants. Small payments, petty even. Although they're generous compared to the cost of goods they're meant to cover, namely…
"You seem to have picked up some peculiar habits during your travels, Itami-san," Sousa remarks when he detects her presence. "We're not at all begrudging of the cost you've generated, considering all the services you've rendered to the village, but I'm personally quite curious what psychological factors led you to pick up petty thievery." X) Sousa gestures to a comfortable armchair. "Have a seat?"
Itami would plop down in the armchair gestured to her and smile. "I have picked up on some unusual things, yeah. Psychological factors that lead me to petty thievery… Well, I guess…" She hummed and put a finger to her chin to think. "It was fun. That's all it really was. I enjoyed it. The thrill I received from it was amazing, perhaps even more so while being watched performing the act," she chuckled. "And maybe, just maybe, the idea that I knew I could get away with it. Not only due to my former status, but because anyone that bothered coming after me was likely to be tossed aside."
Sousa nods faintly. "Fascinating. Few people will overcome their natural social inhibitions due to rational reasoning of that nature. Of course, those that do so successfully must also foresee that frequent indulgence will alter the conditions which make such behaviors feasible." Translation, do it too often and people will grow a backbone and push back. :P "So then, what is your reason for visiting today? Have you already graduated to targeting a Kage's letter-opener?" ;)
Itami smiled. "I understand. I won't be doing it much more, I don't think," she didn't apply much confidence in that answer, but considering that she intends to get her job back, stealing isn't anything she'd need to do should she obtain it. Of course, her doing so now didn't imply she didn't have funds as she knew how to make her way. It's just as explained, it was all fun. "Graduated to Kage's letter-opener? I think I'd be perfect for that kind of thing. Cutting is something I know how to do very well and with precision," she grins. "You wouldn't have to worry about any files being turned to shreds. All will be perfectly laid out, the only thing being cut being the container they arrived in," she offered. "But, on a more serious note, I would like to reclaim the position of Councilwoman once more. I think I've spent enough time away and have found out some things, but discovered there's more to be found here, even still. My freedom wasn't ever stolen away as I'd originally thought. Sitting here, I felt I wouldn't be able to experience anything, but I was sorely mistaken."
Sousa lifts his brows when Itami states her intention to rejoin the Sunagakure Council. "Splendid. I can feel my projected workload decreasing already." n.n Sousa presses a button on his intercomm system. "We need the necessary documents for establishing a Council Member immediately, please." Sousa leans back in his chair. "This calls for celebration. Nothing like a little positive reinforcement for cementing a desirable behavior. Would you care for a fancy dinner tonight, or a performance at the theater? I understand they're currently playing The Daimyou's Valet, a comedy of errors. We could invite the entire Council to reestablish working relations, or you could go on your own or invite those of your own choice. I'm certain we can spring the funds for an evening's frivolity for you and a few acquaintances."
"Eh?" Itami frowned. She never liked the paperwork, but it was part of the job. Sigh. "Uh, I think a dinner would be nice. I'd love something to eat. Always have an appetite to fill," she pats her stomach a few times to emphasize her point. "But it'll be great to be back. Though, I will be working in a double role, so to speak. I have things to focus on in the group Jump as a senior member of sorts, so that will take up my time as well. Considering, I think the combination of the two will be beneficial as a whole. I intend to gather as much information as I can about events and other things that take place to keep Sunagakure on its toes."
