Naru and Taiki catch up on old times by sparing together
"Lightning and Fire: Inuzuka and Uchiha"
Genin training grounds
Taiki is, for once, practicing in the general genin training area. He seems to have a somewhat serious expression as he stands in front of a training post while Shinobu stands to the side, watching on, but looking around every now and then. Taiki at first holds his hands to the side, then starts through a series of hand seals. He ends on one, then points at a post shouting, "Lightning Arc!" With that lightning arcs /upward/ from his hand, then changes direction and crashes down on the post, singing it a bit. "I'm almost there," he says with a small smile.
"Seems like you are doing quite well," Naru spoke with a slight smile as she moved closer to Taiki, watchin the both of them as the lightning arcs and zaps around the area, it causes her to grin slightly while crossing her arms along one another. Naru herself seemed to be doing pretty well, dressed in her usual attire minus the head band, " Lightning element… it seems like you finally have something to show huh?"
Taiki's small smile widens subtly as Naru comes into range. She was always welcome, as far as he was concerned, even when things weren't so good. But still he looked at Shinobu, who barked once, stood up, and then ran off into the woods. What was the not-so-little dog doing? That was something Taiki did not appear inclined to answer as he turned his head toward Naru. "Almost. It's performing like it should, but my accuracy is a bit off and the power isn't /quite/ where it should be yet. But this is further than I was a month ago, so that's a good thing." He once again slips into a stance and starts concentrating while asking, "How are you doing Naru'san?"
"I just need to train more… I've been focusing on developing myself even further… Especially my eyes and all," Naru spoke softly with a smile, checking out the post that Taiki had zapped, she smiled a bit and nodded at him. " It looks like your doing quite well, but perhaps the problem with accuracy is not having a live target… Things are different when your blood is boiling and there is more at stake," Naru spoke softly, while brushing off her clothing just a bit. " If you want… I don't mind being a target for you.."
Taiki's head swings around to face Naru as the electrical current around him dies. He considers the offer for about half a minute, a somewhat serious look on his face that doesn't seem to be anything like what one would expect, before nodding. "Okay. I admit I could use a live target that I'm not used to sparing with. Different tactics and all," he says as the rest of the body follows suit. Taiki smiles as he settles down into a stance and prepares himself. "You ready?" he asks, waiting for her to get into position before he starts.

Naru smiled and noded at him, happy that he took her up on the offer. Focusing her chakra even more she began to summon up her own energy… She was going to put him through a good session, after all it had been quite some time since they last had a chance to do this. " I'm really excited.. Its been awhile since we last been able to do this…With missions and all," she speaks out to Taiki, waiting to fight on his notion… She was curious on just how much her friend had developed since their last session a long time ago…

Taiki grins a little, also excited. And, as the two had discussed, Taiki was out of the gate with the lightning jutsu he's been practicing. He dashes to the side, forming handsigns as he does, before flinging something her way and calling out, "Raiton: Lightning Arc!" the entire area around him becomes infused with lighting before they all start to crash down on where Naru is, each bolt moving incredibly fast!

Naru seemed to be struck head on, proving that taiki's aim wasn't all that bad, but just as it turned out, he could see that her body had exploded into a puff of smoke… It was then she appeared from the other direction, she too going through a series of hand seals, however in her defense she was summoning a torrent of firey chakra. though not saying out a jutsu she expells the hot heat at him anyways to burn against his flesh but certainly not hurt… " Keep it up your doing great!"

Taiki's smile grows wider as the fire comes toward him. Now he whispers the name of his defense just before the fire would hit him. It explodes, but as the fire clears a log is all that is there. Taiki's rather good at the replacement technique, and it shows. He continues to run about, as he is never one for just standing still and casting ninjitsu, and once again he runs through the signs. "Raiton: Lightning Arc." Repetitive? Yes. But that's what he's trying to learn right now. Once again lightning spreads out, striking toward Naru at a fast pace.

It was repetative but it was defintily working to get him better, his ninjutsu was stronger then the previous and once again it zapped at her clone burning it to smitherings, it was now time for Naru to kick things up just a little bit more and put pressure on him, at first she motioned through a quick set of hand seals, which probabyl seemed distracting at first, since nothing followed, however secretly she was forming a link between the wo of them… Much more difficult without her sharingan.. Next though she would chuck a kunai in his direction to keep him on his toes.

Taiki doesn't seem to notice the link, but then again he's pretty bad at genjutsu. He does however notice the kunai, and instead of the kawarmi he decides to try to dodge it. It seems to graze his cheek, but the Inuzuka doesn't seem to notice. Instead he once again calls forth the lightning, though the words are not shouted and he tries to speed through the seals that much more quickly. Ozone starts to fill the area as the repeated lightning attacks start to charge the atmosphere.

The area did feel quite unusual, she wasn't use to constant lightling being thrown around everywhere, it caused her to slightly feel just a tad bit uncomfortable around his jutsu but still she managed, motioning through her hand seals she kept herself at bay, zapped by the lightning, Taiki would be surprised to know that this time she didnt turn into a puff of smoke, instead she staggered sllightly as static and smoke ran across her body. " Ouch.." Naru whispers quietly under her breath as she finished her jutsu, it was then taiki could feel the air within his body begin to leave him for the moment while she expells an array of hot fire to throw off his attention

As the air in his lungs feels like it's starting to leave him, Taiki's mind is thrown into overdrive. After a few seconds rapid thought, he could not think of a ninjutsu that would cause it, so he tries out something else. Desperate for air, he concentrates his will into willing his body to breath, and by luck he manages to break the technique! But that brief lapse of concentration cost him as the fireballs hit home, making things a mite warm for the young Inuzuka. Still, he's felt worse than this, recently even, so without further ado he charges up his lightning again. Who knows, maybe he'll get lucky again?

He managed to get out of her genjutsu? She blinked in amazingment as she witnessed him quickly over come it, and counter attack with a thrashing lightly which would send her slamming along her back, however she quickly pushes herself off the ground and launches herself into the air. "Katon! Bakuhatsu no Jutsu!" Suddenly she ups the attack, bringing forth a greater fire ball down upon him while still attempting to maintain her genjutsu on him… Syhpon away at his air..

Okay, /now/ Taiki is taking some punishment. The exploding fireball catches him and throws him back, singing both his hair and his kimono. Then, as he starts to get back up, the air once again leaves his lungs, but this time he can't seem to break it. Taiki now realizes he's going to lose the concentration to perform ninjutsu rather quickly, so with a valiant effort he throws one more volly of lightning while whipping out a kunai and throwing it behind her. Maybe that will break her concentration long enough to get rid of the genjutsu. Otherwise, he's done.

It was enough to break her attention, but as soon as the kunai was aimed to slammed into her he would notice her ninjutsu expertise was starting to take over, she smiled at him and began to pause her movements for now, waiting to see what he would do next. " You have more to show don't you?" She asked him with a smile, curious to see how much she could push him. " I just know for sure your going to get that jutsu absolutely perfect…"

Taiki smirks a bit and grins. "I suck at genjutsu, so likely all I'll ever do with it is learn to break it. But yeah, I have one or two things more to show. One I can't use without Shinobu, who's off making sure of something… the other… yeah." With this he leans forward, getting on all fours as he grows a bit wilder. First of course is the ninjutsu he's been learning, as once again the ozone fills the air. But as soon as the lightning flashes down Taiki lunges forward, spinning at a high rate of speed as he picks up momentum. It's the tsuga.

Naru was able to read his movements, perhaps it was due to her training with variously quick people. Whatever it was it was definitely paying off, and she slightly pushes off to the side zapped away by the lighting but her body is replaced by a stream of fire from her previous attack, Taiki spun into a harmless array of fire. "Genjutsu is interesting.. THere is still much for me to learn though," she replies back with a light smile, tilting her head to the side. She decided to give him one last push… She was honestly getting quite tired " Fire bullet barrage!"

Fairly wounded though he may be, surprisingly enough Taiki was no where near tired. Instead he tried to do the replacement technique again, but missed as the heat of the flames distracted him, causing him to be hit by even more flame. He's taken a beating, but is still standing strong, compared to where he had been before. In fact, the damage he had just taken would have laid him out for a while before. Now? It's not all that inhibiting at all. Still, he notices Naru is getting tired, so he decides to use one last attack combo. "He's back, now to show you what else I've learned… But this will be the last" With this he pauses long enough for Shinobu to land on his back, and curling his fingers into the dog seal he calls out, "Juujin Bunshin!" A cloud of smoke envelops them, and a moment later the smoke clears off to show two Taikis! Both look a great deal more feral than even the four legged stance normally shows however, but it is impossible to tell the difference. Both launch off, one to punch Naru, the other performing a tsuga.

Surpisingly, Naru was able to react.. Her eyes had opened wide as Taiki had formed the series of clones.. and not jsut regular clones either, they both seemed to have an interesting amount of stopping power to actually cause damage… this wasn't just the bunshin she was using… However she defendd in the only way she knew would work,right as their attacks hit their mark it would be replaced with a log, Naru herself a few feet away from them as she panted slightly an grined.. " Wow… This is amazing… is this… are they both real…which one is you..?" Naru questioned out loud.. it was going to make things difficult for her to attack so instead she launched a kunai at the both of them

Funnilly enough, Shinobu was nowhere to be seen, though it might not be noticeable at first. Both Taiki's dodge the kunai rather easily, each running on all fours until they get up right next to Naru. At this point the one on the right makes a dog sign, and the one on the left goes up in smoke, to be replaced by Shinobu. "I'm the real one, the other was Shinobu. It's more than an illusion, we each actually transform a bit," Taiki says with a smile as some of the feral marks leave him. "It makes attacking us that much harder," he says with a grin, no longer attacking, at least for the moment.

"Interesting…" Naru spoke with a smile, peering at the both of them, she couldn't help but to feel just a tad bit off, she honestly thought he was going to attack her again. "It looks like you've been working on more things then jutsu your lightning ninjutsu… You two are such a great team…" She championed them both still smiling lightly, she crosses her arms along one another and tilts her head. " You two are just full of surprises…"
Something very brief, but slightly disturbing crosses Taiki's face when when Naru mentions working on something more than lightning jutsu. But it is squashed rather quickly even as Taiki moves one hand up to a slight scar on his upper lip. "We try, Naru'san. The shinobi without something to fall back on is a dead shinobi," Taiki explains. The grin on his face looks real enough, though something about his eyes seems a little… off. But he does not even hint as to what that could be, instead he adds, "I had to learn a couple of things before I focused on ninjutsu, which is what I'm doing now."
Naru noticed the change of tone in his eyes… Taiki may not have notice but the Inu-clan had a unique set of eyes, and it quickly became easy for her to tell that something was wrong. " Taiki-kun, you know that if something is on your mind you can always seek me out right? If I'm not at home im either training or on a mission," She states simply, peering at him a little deeply before she backs up a bit, she smiles and lets out a tired yawn, exhausted from the fight. " Just don't give up on what you want to do… ," She suggests… Though not truly knowing what might be wrong… She didnt pry, merely encouraged

Taiki's smile turns a little sad as he lets part of what has been happening the past week through. "It's… complicated… Naru'chan," he says quietly, in a voice meant only for the two of them. "I'm working on it… and I recently… acquired… help, but the situation is… sensitive and dangerous to know about. Someday I'll tell you, for I could use a sympathetic ear, but today is not the day." He then steps back himself as his grin widens to the same happy grin he gets most often when he's around her. "Don't worry, I'm not giving up on my dreams. Some day they will come true." Shinobu barks a couple of times, catching Taiki's attention. "Shinobu has spotted Taizen, Atsuro'sensei's ninken. I have to go. Thanks for the spar!" He gives her a slow wink before turning around and taking off after Shinobu as duty calls.
