"Resource Reclamation - Golden Bridge"

Kumogakure

A gold shipment, sent in good faith from a local Land of Lightning Gold Mind has a shinobi deployment following it just in case something happens. All of that gold shimmering in the bed of a wagon cart may just be too tempting for the local Yakuza. Speaking of thieves, even though this is a good faith shipment, the Gold mine is screwing over Kumogakure simply because the contract isn't signed yet between them. The resources required just to get this Gold was costly, so the shinobi sent hopefully mean business.
At the present moment, the gold cart is just about ready to cross over the Amagmo Bridge. Up ahead, Kumogakure, the goal of this shipment, can be seen.

- Dressed in his usual traveling gear sitting on the back of his towering warhorse, the cloak around Hiroyasu's shoulder gently rocking with the gate of his horse as he moves along the side of the cart. "Such a nice day to be out and about" he muses looking to those who are likewise assigned with him. -

Riding atop Snake Eyes, his horse, Hiei follows along beside the cart. He's dressed in his usual shinobi garb as he keeps his horse at a slow walk, not wanting to leave the cart at all. "Indeed. If we weren't working, I'd probably be up on the plateau painting today. Been awhile since we've had an assignment together. Not since that lumber guild treaty incident, I think."

As usual, Yin was walking on foot, no horse for him! Though sometimes he thought about sitting on the wagon, even pondering it out loud. But up until now, he never acted upon it. He looks up at Hiei, "If I weren't working, I'd probably be working. Life is such work." He then goes on to grumble 'workworkwork~' etc and so forth.

Yang is considerably quieter that their other half, walking silently as well to keep a better vantage point around them. The masked shinobi barely glances at the others and the small amount of talk there is, gaze lingering briefly before shifting towards their surroundings. Vigilant. Or bored. Or both.

Sadly, Yin would be working if he wasn't wasting time as Yin. As the cart reaches the bridge, a wind starts to pick up. At first it is just a breeze, might even be welcoming as it is a warm wind, but then it starts getting stronger and stronger. The bridge starts to move slightly underneath the horse's, and Yin's, feet even. The wind continues to gain momentum and strength. Uh-oh.

- When the wind unnaturally seems to kick up, he pauses peering into the ether raising the veil "The wind is definitely a jutsu!.. 4 targets under hanging under the bridge.. Chuunin equivalent" he stats trying to steady his horse, they got on a bridge without checking it first, he needed to stop day dreaming.. Hiroyasu's hands move out from under his cloak and at the ready several seals fanned in each hand waiting to be used. -

"Oi? Four? Hmm.. One.. two.. three.. four of us! We should be good!" He lifts his arms as if his statement would be obvious on any day other than today. He moves to the side of the bridge to look over the edge and take a look at what might be down there.

Hiei chuckles at Yin's comment before his brows crease together after the wind starts. He was just about to open his mouth and comment on the weather when Hiroyasu speaks up, putting Hiei on high alert. "Understood. Knew this cart was too sweet of a target." For the moment, he doesn't go under the bridge. He wanted to see what their next move would be before acting.

The wind continues to pick up, to the point where even the horses are having trouble holding their footing. Someone needs to do something and fast because the wind has changed course. It is now swirling down from above in what looks to be a tornado crashing down towards the bridge. This is what happens when four chuunin combine their chakras and attempt a gold robbery. Unfortunately for our fearless Kumonin they appear to be right in the eye of the tornado, but the eye is growing smaller and smaller.

The wind quickly picks up and Yang tenses just as Hiroyasu yells that there are wind users under the bridge. And under the mask they scowl with annoyance. Somehow the wind users had escaped their keen attention. The wind kept them from crossing, a road block no doubt. That means… Yang snaps their eyes around them. "They might be setting us up for an ambush." they murmurs, voice neutral. And wordlessly, the figure snaps up a pair of fingers to form a seal, activating the hidden kekkai genkai.

- As the eye of storm approaches Hiroyasu activates a seal in his grasp throwing upwards as the bubble of chakra begins to form a dome around him and the cart enveloping it in a shell of translucent blue as the winds rage around it, the barrier barely holding at times and flexing but never breaking even against the gale force winds. "I'll protect the cart, stop them!" he shouts hoping to be heard.. -

Hiei doesn't avoid the attack per se. Instead he allows it to hit him. The only difference is, he uses the attack itself to place himself in a position to get where he needs to be. He flows around the wind, allowing it to lift him off the bridge completely. A few well placed flips and his feet touch the bottom underneath as he sticks to the surface, using tree walk. Performing a handseal, he sees the four shinobi just like Hiroyasu described. Aiming to disrupt their syncrinization, he performs a hand seal before he draws a sword. Pointing the sword at one of the four, he states. "Lightning Release: Lightning Strike!" His aim is to at least make them drop the jutsu, but it fails as the powerful bolt of lightning simply bounces off a wind wall. Hiei frowns. "Alright. So the hard way it is.."

The eye of the tornado heads straight at them, and while Hiro yells that he'll protect the cart, Yang is already on the move, their speed dodging being caught up in the wind current altogether. They skid across the ground, angling themselves so that they have direct line of sight to the bridge. "Lets see how much you like it used against you." the neutral voice murmurs, hinting with a scowl. The chakra concentrates in the middle of their palms and as its thrust straight at them, the wave of blue chakra is unleased. It hits one of the visible shinobi, even through the wall of wind.

The tornado comes towards the bridge, Yin looks at it approaching. In his mind, calculations of where to push off on the side of the bridge to land where he wants. He watches Yang's attack towards the four, and he supports for now, just mainly a presence where he planned to land.
But for show- "Ai! AI AI AI AIII!" He skidded towards the side of the bridge, catching a foot with treewalk, and when out of everyone's view, launch himself at the far side of the ravine in a timbling flight. Precision landing! At least, landing in a crouch on the wall above the four. A wave.
"Hey, that wasn't nice at all~!" Waggling a finger at them with the same hand that waved.

The formation of four wind users is there for a reason. The formation provides both an offensive and a defensive advantaged. Ah, tactics of a chuunin level team. Glorious. Too bad they are encountering a Chuunin+ team. The best laid plans and all that…
As Hiei makes his way below the four of them just continue forming handseals in unison. The lightning did indeed bounce off the wind wall that is sweeping around them. Yang has a little more luck, managing to penetrate the wind wall ever so slightly. The man on the receiving end of Yang's attack grunts, and the unison is lost in the handseals. The tornado above falters and shifts suddenly. Hiro and the cart go from being in the eye of the storm to being directly in it.
To make matter's worse, after the man is hit, he takes something out of his pocket, throws it into the air swirling around the foursome, and it sort of acts as a screen to what they do within the swirling air. They move. The one that was hit must control the accuracy…but where did he just go. A new formation is made.

- Maintaining the wall against the winds as they suddenly shift in the worst possible way right into him and he strains as the beads of sweat roll down his cheeks, "I can't take to much more of this.." Hiroyasu growls breaking the seal recharging the wall continuously and hurls two seals which slide out under the dome and with a whip-crack two large vortex open up as tendrils reach skyward sapping from the storm much of its precious chakra which is what fueling the winds and their ferocity. As the winds suddenly die down to manageable but not gone levels "Move move move!" he shouts as the barrier around them crumbles into shards and the way forward is revealed, he and the cart begin the dangerous trek off the perilous position with haste. -

Hiei raises a brow when the guy tosses something up into the air. He begins to chuckle as he makes hand seals. "Release: Lightning Aura." As Hiei calls upon the power of the Yotsuki, a light blue aura infused with lightning surrounds his body as he reaches up to draw his second blade. "I don't need to know exactly where you are. This bridge is only so big.." His body vanishes from sight as he moves at high speed, bringing both swords to bear as blood sprays up into the air. Hiei penetrates the wind wall. It drops and the dust settles before the Kumo shinobi smirks as both of his blades turn a neon blue.

Yang doesn't have time to react to the cart as its attacked. However, Hiei manages to attack with such force that the wall of wind falls completely. They smirk to themselves, hidden beneath the mask as chakra focuses at their palms. Twisting, they send out one wave of chakra, then another. If Yang can break them up long enough, they won't have a chance to gather up their wind to reform the wall. Her attacks don't hit, but they do drop out of formation.

Hiei's swords slice right through the wind wall and actually makes contact with the man holding up the wind wall. Unfortunately for the man, the attack is precise and the man's life is ended as his back is severed. Guts spill out through the openings in the spine as the man falls away from the bridge and towards the waters below.
With the wind wall down, and the three remaining shinobi open to direct assault, they begin to scatter. The scattering makes it so that the tornado disolves completely. The winds woudl still have been swirling by themselves if not for Hiroyasu…but now the winds are completely stopped. His path is free and he manages to get to the other end of the bridge.
The other shinobi drop off the bridge as well, trying to get away. Luckily for them, they are advanced wind users and can ride the currents…hopefully. Parting shots might make that harder.

- The cart was now free to escape and the tornado has been dispersed making it an easier and safer trek across the bridge which was to its credit extremely well built. As they attempt to escape the best Hiroyasu can muster is to quickly and overzealously fill the air with glowing strips of paper which fly like razors through the air slicing the currents trying to make it to their targets, many falter as the distance and angle of attack do not quite work out.. but one such angle of depression managed to live up to its name and strikes one of the escaping shinobi twice.. "Come on.. we have to get this cart on the road and on the move.. we can't waste anymore time chasing rank gusts of winds" he shouts to the others. -

Hiei sheathes one of his swords and holds out two fingers as lightning begins to charge at the tips. "Run back to where you came." He comments as he spins around in a circle at points with the sword, lightning lances off the tip before he switches, pointing with his first two fingers as a zig-zagging lightning bolt flies out for another. Hiei then kicks off the bottom of the bridge, grabbing the railing with one hand before swinging back up to land on the surface. "They're scattering." He informs Yang and Yin. "I agree." He says to Hiroyasu as he sheathes his katana. A shrill whistle and Snake Eyes comes galloping up. Hiei leaps up, flipping once to land in the saddle and the horse never even slows down. "Let's ride!"

One down. Three to go.
And vulnerable.
Yang pushes off in a hard dash straight at the nearest target (victim) and uses the momentum to send one powerful crushing wave of chakra straight at the shinobi. It sends the man flying off the bridge and fall down to the river below. And there's some sort of satisfaction watching it. Pausing, Yang turns their head and glimpses a shoe print.

Three down actually. Hiei killed one, Hiro turned one into a porcupine, and Yang got another. Ahem.

Yin watches as the craziness ensues betwee the other three team members and at least seventy-two percent of the assailants. Yin points at the last one trying to get away.. or down? Either way, he looks at his feet, and stomps one foot on the wall of the rock face upon which he's standing. A few rock shards crack and crumble there, but nothing enough to grab and throw at the guy. So, he puts both feet on either side of one jutting out of the wall.
"Ugh urngh! Hurnnnnn~! I'm so gonna-~"
He groans and grunts until the piece magically relieves itself from it's wedged in place. Luckily it's not anywhere that would ruin any type of support for the bridge, and it flies, with scary or lucky accuracy to hit the last remaining bad guy mid-fall in the torso, knocking his course off a good bit.

The four falling bodies disappear in the wates below. The three that had been in a controlled fall before they were struck looked to hit the waters harder then they would have liked. It is hard to tell if they survived the fall. The water washes the bodies away one way or the other though.
