"Scientist Troubles - Fish Gone Bad"

Land of Lightning - Ocean

Patrols have been sent out of Kumogakure, all the teams holding a number of strong shinobi for the fact that … well… the Brigade is still a threat. Today's patrol consists of four shinobi, three of them being Chuunin. Maneshi Raion, Hebisuuhai Sakuya, Hizumu Arashi, and Yamayuki Yume are to report at the docks for a sea patrol! Why? Because the Storm Brigade attacks islands! So they're supposed to check out the Land of Lightning's borders that are in the middle of the ocean. Such fun!

The sound of a horse's hooves striking the wooden pier are the first sounds heard from the patrol group as Sakuya brings her horse up towards the ship they wil be using for the patrol. Leading the patrol was Hebisuuhai Sakuya, and her loving partner Zuzu whom remains coiled around the head of the horse she rides upon. In one hand are the reigns of her horse, in the other she retrieves a scroll that contains the mission details. As team leader, it's important to make sure everyone is on the same page.
"Good news everyone." She says as she brings her horse beside the boarding ramp of their vessel. "The roads of the Land of Lightning are doing pretty well, but our sea-lanes are still under considerable pressure. Storm Brigade activity is still rather high on the waves, and you can probably guess why." Water Release specialists, of course. Sakuya's hands reach up to her head, shifting her hair behind her ears as she represses a certain excitement for doing something of this nature. It's clear she is rather enthusiastic, even though she tries to hide it. "So, we're doing the same thing we've been doing continually on land, only this time we are pushing a patrol into more dangerous territory. Hizumu Arashi, Maneshi Raion, and genin Yamayuki Yume, today we are going on a patrol." Coastal? Deep-Sea? Not specified.
Either way, the violet eyed lady of serpents hops off her horse and coaxes her lazy serpent off the horse. "I'll answer any questions to the best of my ability, but otherwise let's get ready…" She trusts that everyone but Yume have been taught in the arts of Water Walking, which is something she might have to find a way to address should their ship be capsized.

Yume would travel with Sakuya as she has come to get used to, and she brings her own horse to a calm stop before climbing down from it. She holds onto her cane and listens to Sakuya's explanation despite the mention of the high coast bringing a briefly tentative frown to her features. She secretly hoped that they would be patrolling along the shore, anything else would be particularly difficult. Hearing sound as it passed through the water, or even an inner ship hull, was well beyond her capabilities as it stood. Still, she keeps these fears to herself and bows her head once in understanding, "Yes, Sakuya-san. I have no questions to my knowledge, that will not be answered once we are out there." She walks along with the others, turning her head to glance aside at Arashi and Raion, "Tell me, Raion. Pansa knows how to swim, right? I've heard somewhere that cats have an aversion to water."

Arashi was continuing along and already was briefed on the fact that it was going to be an ocean venture. He was probably sent along for his knowledge of boats and the ocean and for the fact that he was available right now. "Either way I should be able to keep the boat up. At the very least I can help with water as well." He chuckled. "ANd don't worry I don't have any qustions." He looked at Yume for a similar reason that was going through Sakuya's mind. Though if she did have no ability to walk on water, Arashi could help her. At the very least make the water more packed for her to stand on it naturally. He stretched a bit before looking between then three of them. "Tell me. Do you three know how to run a ship? At least handle the sails?" He asked.

Raion and his partner Pansa both dispised water. Also they would refuse to use a horse. Pansa, because big cat. Can't ride a horse, and Raion because, if Pansa can't ride a horse, it isn't fair for him to ride one! Besides, more exercise! Raion listens to the briefing and nods. "Got it, and no questions right now anyways." When Raion is asked if Pansa can swim he scoffs a bit. "He can walk over it. He can be a big grouchy baby sometimes when it comes to water but I'm sure he can get over it." Pansa sighs and idly comments, "Like you're any different." Raion completely ignores Pansa, then shakes his head to Arashi, "nope! I don't like boats."

It's probably a good thing that the ship supplied to the Kumo-force has its own team to work the sails and the like, then! If no one knows how to work a ship… Not that people in the administration really expect that knowledge for their shinobi. It's a supplement. The Captain of the boat is quick to notice a group of ninja at the docks, and he's saunter over to the four. "Ahoy! Is this the team bein' led by Hebisuuhai Sakuya?" he asks, scratching a bit at his beard as he considers the team idly.

"Yes, this is that very team." Sakuya says as she slowly coils the docile serpent who hasn't spoken much a word since he had worn himself out on making a mockery of Sakuya on the trip down from Kumogakure. "Hebisuuhai Sakuya, reporting." Sakuya gave a slight tip of her head towards the sailor, before looking over. "I've handled enough dock work that I have a rough idea, Arashi. Thankfully, we've got a crew. We're here to utilize our skills for other purpose. Arashi, you an assist the sailors. You'll fit right in, they practically know you on a first-name basis." Sakuya would chuckle lightly.
Zuzu raised his head, looking around lightly. "Oh… The boat… We're going on a boat! Lovely sleeping weather too. Aaaah." Sakuya would reach up to softly stroke Zuzu on the head as she turned back to the Captain. "How is the tide? Is the weather acceptable for smooth sailing?"

Yume shakes her head at Arashi after his question and confesses, "I do not often find myself on a ship nor do I go out of my way to find more time to spend on them, to be perfectly honest…I wouldn't even know where to begin. Apologies, Arashi." She looks back at Raion and Pansa to listen to them both and chuckles warmly at the both of them. "I see. That makes sense, that's quite helpful then…I…unfortunately cannot do that." She chews on the inside of her cheek before she shakes her head. "Not that I do not know how to swim. So there is that at least." When they arrive to the ship and the captain of their ship approaches, Yume bows her head respectfully in greeting to him. She remains quiet as she lets Sakuya question their sailing conditions. and waits until it is time to start filing onto the boat.

Arashi just gives a quick nod to Raion and Yume then before turning over to Sakuya. "True. I forget you worked there sometimes since you don't anymore." He chuckled before raising a brow. "The merchants and haulers probably do. Not the sailors. At least not all of em." He stared at her a moment before shaking his head a bit and waiting to be accepted onto the ship. Once he was he would climb aboard. He listened to Yume and nods a bit. "Well if it comes to blows and you end up on the water I am sure Pansa there can let you on his back. And I could help if it goes that far." He smiled. He could form a clone if need be. And now he would wait for more orderds from Sakuya.

Raion can't help but get an almost evil smile as he looks at Pansa. A look that says 'ooooooh pleeeease let this be the day'. Pansa clearly understands Raion's look and merely grumbles. "Yep! If it comes down to it you can definitely ride on Pansa. Because if he even considers trying to stop you, he'll regret it." Raion then whispers "pleeeaaaase let this be the day someone rides Pansa…" Raion really seems to love teasing Pansa whenever he's presented the opportunity. One may wonder why Pansa tolerates him… Raion then bows respectfully to the owner of the ship, ready to hop on board. He may hate water, but now he has something to look forward to!

"For today, aye! If the Brigade show up, we might find ourselves washing ashore, but barring that sort of incident…" He makes a weird gesture to shoo away bad luck before continuing. "We'll sail perfectly fine." The man turns and beckons Sakuya and co. onto the ship, waiting for them to all be onboard before he whistles piercingly for the men to raise the anchor, drop the sails, and get the plank stowed aboard as well. His crew work quickly, and it's within 10 minutes that they've already begun to move towards the sea, assuming everyone is on the deck.
The group would simply have to look around and be careful when it comes to spotting things. Mixing up enemy ships with merchant and passenger board would be very bad … Hopefully Arashi can let the team know if anything happens to be wrong! They seem to be sailing towards the southern border that Lightning shares with Water.

Sakuya recalls those days too. "Yeah. For a while I thought I was getting interested in riding the ships, rather than just putting boxes on them. Then things got busy for me when I became a Chuunin. Then I realized that my primary affinity was earth. I'll never be a seasnake…" Sakuya says as she moves up onto the deck. "There are three things that bother me, Arashi, that I have no control over. One, is that they paired me with the most smart-fin serpent alive just to swim with me." - "I love you too, you wench." - "Two, is that my primary affinity is the one affinity that represents a cloud the least. Earth Manipulation… The third and final thing that I dislike about myself that wasn't in my control was that my adoptive father named me 'Sakuya'… Sakuya means 'Little Blossom'. From now on out, my name will strike fear into the hearts of all individuals and my bingo book entry will cause people's to shake in their boots and fill their hearts with respect when they know that the person they seek's name means 'Little… Blossom…"
Sakuya slips her hand into a seal, and focuses her senses for the journey to come. "Yume-san, Raion-san. I need you both to keep your eyes open. Arashi-kun, if you could do me a favor and help augment emergency defensive measures for our vessel, you would be doing me a great favor." Sakuya is going to turn to the captain. "Mind if I ride on the mast?" Sakuya would ask. It would give her the height needed for her to strike an enemy vessel with a weapon that could easily bore a hole in it. Just in case.

Yume's attention turns onto Pansa after Arashi makes the suggestion and Raion attempts to speak up his agreement. She chuckles softly at the cat partner's enthusiasm, "I will try to save it as a last resort for Pansa's sake, but thank you. The offer alone does help me feel safer." She turns her head and remains silent about Sakuya's choice of phrasing, since she has gotten fairly good at hearing things to compensate for her blindness. "Yes, Sakuya-san." Yume tells Sakuya as she climbs up onto the ship after they're ushered along. She does take some time while they are preparing to ship off to make some careful arounds around the ship to get an idea of how the upper deck is layed out. She does her best to avoid the people hard at work on the ship and it only takes one or two laps since it's such a contained area. Once she's done, she finds a place to sit at the side of the ship and bows her head as she prepares herself to try to sense any unusual formations of chakra. She doubted that her sounds could spread out far enough to sense anything beyond the immediate ship, but she still taps her cane to a steady beat to spread out.

Arashi just nods to the ship folks before helping set things up if allowed. He would turn to face Sakuya as she talked though. "Hmm. I am Chuunin and handle it fine. Though I think it is because they like having a shinobi help there to keep an eye on things.." He paused. "Anyways… Sakuya…. For the first thing I have to say is….. I think that you get along better with him then you would another snake. Two I think you would be able to learn water and even lightning or wind if you wanted to later in life. The third thing I have to say is…. Use your name. Let people underestimate you. Because then the real fear is going to be a ferocious snake hiding inside." He smiled wide. "And now I think I will forever call you Little Blossom." He grinned and turned to continue helping the ship along. Especially with the things she asked of him.
Arashi listened to the others speak but was already forming mists on all sides except for the very front. The mist was not thick yet, but it would be easy for him to thicken it if he needed to. And even then he could see the land or boats nearby by using the senses. IT was enough for him to send it out to see if he found anything hiding, but he could likely not sense more than his eyes could see.

Raion, as soon as he gets on the ship, goes to the bow. He looks over the edge of the ship at the water, not exactly enjoying it. He hears the call to keep his eyes open and assumes she means ears! "Got it. I'll listen carefully. He and Pansa both sit down towards the bow of the ship and focus on enhancing their ears with chakra. Trying to catch even the hint of anything sounding off.

Frankly, there's nothing really odd in sight. Arashi wouldn't be able to sense anything wrong for the time being, though as the group continue to sail, Sakuya and Raion/Pansa might think it smells fishy… More fishy than would be expected. And there were irregular splashes that indicated fish that the Yamayuki and Maneshi duo might be able to hear. Sadly, Arashi's mists actually interfered a bit with Yume's chakra sensing, so she would get a lot of white noise.

Sakuya would promptly give Arashi a Kumogakure salute at his revelation. "Your funeral, Arashi." She said playfully. Sakuya did -not- want to be called little blossom. Maybe blossom? Not little blossom. "Alright, everyone has their duties marked. Time to go enjoy the cool sea breeze." Sakuya dash towards the mast, walking up it with a running start. She needed to. The bow upon her back was quite large after all. So were the arrows.
Had no one noticed before, now is a good time to take notice that Sakuya was attempting to take the world record in bow-size. The Leviathan's Bow was a special sort of yumi that was crafted of steel and chakra metal, with a chakra metal cord linking the bows two arms together. The arrows were also as large as spears. It weighed her down immensely, and getting to the top was difficult despite mastery over tree-walking. At the top of the mast, in the 'crow's nest', Sakuya had a far better view of the surrounding sights, which was a thick wall of mist everywhere. Nevertheless, Sakuya nocks and arrow as her own senses try to reach through the fog.

A confused frown would worry Yume's face as she continues trying to process the interference that the mist has caused. It was an unusual sensation, but she could assume that it was from Arashi from how he used it the last time they were onthe mission together. "This could prove to be a little difficult.." Yume mutters to herself but when the sound of fish returns to her, she turns to peek over the side of the boat to inspect it. "There are quite a few fish out today. I can really hear them in the water. Is it breeding season for a certain species?" Though it was meant to alert her team and the crew as a whole to the unusual occurance, the question was more for the sea-faring inclined folks there.

"Sure it is Little Blossom." Arashi teased and would just stretch before letting the mists drop. He could do fine without the mists and would use though when combat starts. For now just use his eyes. He looked out over the water and watched around a bit. He was pondering what they might do truthfully, and he frowned a bit as he watched the seas. That thing Reza did. That Hizumu clan secret that was not too purposely kept hidden. He had tried to figure out more and sorta did. Though he didn't know how sure the Hizumu would be of it as a whole. They weren't as connected as a whole now that the villages existed. "Sakuya. What exactly is our route?"

Raion listens to Yume, and when Arashi, the only one that hinted at sea knowledge, ignores her, he turns and shouts to him specifically. "Hey Arashi-san!" Then he speaks on a more normal levels. "You know sea stuff, I know nothing. There are a ton of fish here. Is it breeding season or is something attracting them… Or repelling them… Hm. Also can I borrow a spear or something? Fishing rod? Anything?" Raion leans over the edge of the ship, looking at the fish. WANT! His ears are still being chakra charged though, to make sure he's not completely unaware of what's going on.

RPCOMBAT: Raion defends against with a MANESHI-SENSES-II…43

The captain hears Raion's shouting and would blink. "We have some nets if you want those, but we don't really have anything else…" he offers with a frown. "Fish usually aren't this active, though…" Sakuya was allowed to be in the crow's nest, but she would find it difficult to use her bow. For one, the crow's nest was sort of small, meant only for one or two people. Also, it had a pole going through the middle that lessened the floor-space, as well as rails/walls surrounding it as a sort of safety measure during storms.
As Raion is peering over the edge of the ship, a fish happens to leap from the water and attempt to smack the Maneshi with its tail, as if sensing the cat's hunger.

It was actually difficult even getting in the crows nest, because her bow was so terribly large. It was then that Sakuya had to simply climb up to the top, balancing herself upon the top end of the mast. A little saddened that such an amazing position will go to waste. Focusing chakra to her feet, she would remain standing straight and tall with her arms crossed, feet together as she ends up looking like a stereotypical shinobi. So far above, she wouldn't notice the fish seem to gather. She'd probably overreact if she had. She called down from above as she closed her eyes in a sigh. "Anything of note going on, team?"

Yume looks over at Raion and chuckles softly when his eagerness seems to come through his voice, she might even laugh more openly if she could actually hear the fish jump out of the water to smack him. "Be careful, Raion-san, these seem to have quite a bit of fight in them." It hardly seemed like a threat that he or Pansa would need help fending against, aside from that friendly warning. "At least even if we do run into trouble, you and Pansa got a meal out of it, Raion." Even as she jests, she does look back down into the water with a concerned frown. Even the captain claimed that this gathering was unusual, it could have just been from the impact of the tides and shores changing. She closes her eyes and tries to hone her focus once more, now that the mist has had time to spread out over its course, afterall, she still had a job to do until the trip was over or something else arose that needed their attention. "Just the fish, I suppose." Yume says, raising her voice so it can actually carry up to Sakuya. "There are a lot of them and they are fairly active. If it changes, we'll give the word."

RPCOMBAT: Yume defends against with a CHAKRA-SENSITIVITY…23

Arashi had prepared to speak but the captain spoke first. So he just nods before looking over the side. He looked towards Raion just when the fish attempt to smack him, and he frowned. "Yeah umm… I feel like we should either anchor and figure out what these fish are doing or are up to, or we should look around a bit more just in case someone is somehow manipulating them." He stated quickly. "Sakuya!" He spoke up loudly to get her attention before saying it again for her to hear.

Raion's oval eyes lock onto the fish, his head tilting to the side as he attempts to catch it in his jaws, but the fish ends up going over him as he snaps his jaws shut to late, and that results in the fish getting a much more powerful descending slap on Raion that visably stuns him as he stumbles backwards from the edge of the ship. "Darn fish…" Raion says, "That fish gave me a headache." Raion's super postivity smile has faded into just a slightly upset frown. Raion sighs and resumes trying to listen, while Pansa simply ignored the entirity of what just happened and has been listening this whole time.

RPCOMBAT: Raion defends against with a MANESHI-SENSES-II…45

That fish, as if now trying to mock Raion even further, would shoot a stream of water at the Maneshi's face to distract him! Of course, the captain isn't seeing any of this. He's focused on keeping a straight course. Interestingly enough, though, Yume would also get hit by a jet of water!! From the fish's mouth! Not the same one taunting Raion, though. A different one.

Arashi's voice carried enough that it made Sakuya aware of a certain sense of urgency. In short order, she reduced the chakra flow to her feet and slid down the mast, maneuvering around the crow's nest and reaching the bottom. Just in time to see fish squirting at Yume and Raion. Honestly, it made Sakuya giggle a little. "Ah! Looks like the fish are resisting arrest!" Fun. At least someone on deck was still smiling. Zuzu lazily looked to see the fish squirting Raion, and his response would be to coil off Sakuya's form and slither along the deck.
"Cats." The serpent slithers over and down the side of the hull. "Let me show you how to 'catch' a fish. I happen to have a great grandfather that was a seaserpent." - "No you did not. I have your pedigree." - "SILENCE!" The snake hissed as he reared his head up and spearheaded a bite beneath the water to catch a proper fish.
"What is actually going on? Arashi, fill me in…"

Yume's concerned frown would still remain as she notices another fish closer to her position would be acting fairly strangely. It's when she hears the water, though, that she does her best to side step it to avoid getting wet. She reacts too slowly though and looks down at herself with a mild look of annoyance. Her clothes were now wet, not to mention the bandages over her eyes. She sighs and reaches up to carefully start to unbind them, since they needed to be replaced again eventually anyway. "They're water spitting fish, it would seem." Yume calls over to Sakuya as her eyes blink to adjust to the unhindered light andthe saltwater that might have seeped through. They are green and have some burning around the skin surrounding them, but seems that no cataracts or any other damage has developed. She rubs them and grumbles in irritation before leaning over the side again to monitor the situation.

Arashi stared at the fish and just sighed before turning to face Sakuya as she landed. "Ehh I think there are some fish that we need to catch for dinner is all. They are being trouble." He frowned and suggests, "But yeah we should remove them if we can. If not just because they are causing trouble for our senses and taunting our…." He looked at Raion. "Shinobi." He then walked over to Yume as she was messing with the bandages. "Do you need help with that?" He asked and would look over at the water and fish who were attempting to taunt the shinobi. "And.." He looked at her again with a frown. "Here I have some bandages and other supplies on me. I can help with that." He said quickly before wiping away the water and salt as best he can and as gently as he can to make sure the area was clean before attempting to rewrap her eyes in bandages. Once that was done he would let her get back to her job before looking at Sakuya. "So Sakuya. What should we do with them?"

COMBAT: Arashi heals Yume for 328 with FIRST AID.

The fish below the water's surface that Zuzu was attempting to eat would spin, spraying up water into the snake's face/mouth and otherwise (maybe) blinding him while it dove deeper into the water. It is in that moment that there would be a loud *THUMP* (or several of them) on deck. Looking back, one would get to see a few fish on the deck flopping around and smashing into things. As they flipped and flopped, they would begin to grow strange appendages and there was less flopping around.

"Water spitting fish?" Sakuya said as a hand covered her mouth, as to politely giggle. "Seems like they're quite a handful, hmm?" Sakuya closes her eyes as Arashi asks her for orders. "First thing is first, Raion was cut by the fishes. Will you go apply bandages to his wounds too, Arashi-kun? Second, I don't think this is anything of any real issue. It's just a few fish. Who is to say that we are not floating atop a school of fish that have their own particular contract? If they aren't doing anything than harassing us, I do-."
Sakuya watched as a fish dropped onto deck, and.. grow appendages. Her hands drop to her side, and an expression amazement graced her slitted eyes. "T-that…" Sakuya would quickly place her hands into a seal, fearing that this was genjutsu. Perhaps it was, perhaps it wasn't. Few things that are actually real are that wierd.
Zuzu would slither back onto deck, scales drenched in water as the fish predicted his strike. "I… I can't… believe it…" They one upp'd Zuzu! >.<

"Thank you." Yume tells Arashi gratefully, despite looking a little shy as he gets closer to see the scarring. She remains patiently still while she lets Arashi redo the bindings over her eyes. Once the bandages have been reapplied, she breathes out a sigh of relief and smiles, "That's much better. It would have hurt until I got used to the light again. Thank you again, Arashi." She listens and manages to note that Zuzu even failed to catch a fish, "Wow, these are very…fiesty…do fishermen often have this much trouble?" Yume says uncertainly before the loud noise immediately attracts her attention again. She frowns to herself and taps her cane on the ground to get a better idea of where they are on the deck. She could feel them but something was strange about what was returning…they were changing shape? She cautiously approaches one of them and attempts to strike it with her cane twice and uses it to try to drive the strange fish thing back into the ocean. Whatever it was, it probably wasn't a good idea to let it get comfortable on the boat.

"No problem Yume." Arashi smiled lightly before turning to face the spot where Sakuya was looking and he just stared for a moment. "What in the world." He frowned. "Yeah not a threat at all Sakuya, but here they are growning limbs. Even if they aren't threats we know whoever caused this is a threat. Good thing Raion and Zuzu didn't eat em because they might just be poisoned." He said with a slight anger in his tone. He was not happy with the testing of fish. "Alright. Well I will just knock them all off the boat if I can." He would form a quick dragon seal that would pull a lot of water from the ocean to slam acrouss the deck. Avoiding the humans onboard of course, but it would sweep the fish hopefully to the side or off the boat. And just because it seems it might be not enough force the water would form into chains at the end and start tossing fish overboard. Hopefully that would work. Either way Arashi would speak up. "And we probably don't want to let anymore on board."

Raion watches the monstrous fish and his ear twitches… "Okay that I don't like. Pansa." With that, both Raion and Pansa take a somewhat odd stance, charging lots of chakra into their feet, before both suddenly become a blur of motion, darting from one fish to the next, leaving slashes on each and every one and hoping that these slashes are deep enough to make them stop moving. There are a few of the fish that get swept up by Arashi's wave, and another few fish that end up being flung off the boat. Their limbs flail wildly as they splash back into the water. Other fish manage to stay on deck, though one getting flayed kills it. Good job, cat! The other's flailing limbs sort of drive Pansa away, or at least lessen the damage it takes. That fish manages to get up onto its two legs … Picturing this, and the GM wants to flick the scientists behind this little stunt. Yeah, so the fish attempts to body-slam into the Maneshi while others seem to start blasting water at the deck to try and knock the people into the water.
Yume poking around with her cane would prove that these fish were quite large! She even managed to poke it, which allowed for her to line up properly and make a wonderful golf-shot that sends the fish flying off the ship. Nice hit! It sorta rolled, actually, but still!

RPCOMBAT: Sakuya defends against with a SERPENT-EVASION…39
RPCOMBAT: Sakuya took 200 damage.

Things seem they are getting out of hand Sakuya's unsuccessful dispellation of what she's still sure is genjutsu is cut short when the water gets her plenty wet. A jet of water that wasn't necessarily damaging, but was powerful enough to knock her on her butt. Water drips down her form as her eyes seem to narrow. "Okay, this… This isn't genjutsu." At all. That was real, and now she gets it. "T-this is impossible… What the heck is this? Zuzu! Let's get to it! Time to knock some fish out…" As she reaches her hand out, the fed up Zuzu would slipp into Sakuya's grasp and straighten out into a staff, one with a crescent shaped head. Sakuya uses Zuzu to get up, before taking the serpent turned staff and striking out at the one fish that has mutated beyond control. Sakuya was a little worried that things without limbs could have them.
She imagines Zuzu growing limbs and choking her in her sleep. It's quite creepy. She swings the henged snake against the beast three times!

"Bigger than I thought." Yume says, after a couple of missed strike and one good one sends vibrations throughout the rest of the cane. She then feels a tinge of relief, because it wasn't only her sensing that they were changing and growing. "How are they able to do this?" Yume asks over to Arashi and Sakuya, sounding very confused as she jumps to the side of another water spout with a frown on her face. She tries to strike the fish some more with her cane, despite how ineffective they may prove. She couldn't risk trying to use her voice yet, not when she still had such little control over it. The last thing she needed was for a random crew member getting knocked off of the deck.

RP: Arashi transforms into STORMY-MIND.
RPCOMBAT: Arashi defends against with a STORM-ORBS…39
RPCOMBAT: Arashi took 150 damage.

Arashi was too slow to form a orb of storm chakra in front of him so it didn't block all the water, but it would block some. "This is not genjutsu no." He frowned and turned to face Yume. "I doubt they are just evolving. So I figure someone did this. It wouldn't be the first time I have seen something weird like this so I doubt it will be the last until we find out who is doing this." He sighed and shook his head. "Alright. Time to kill them." He formed more seals and started firing arcs of lightning that moved in an arc that would send the lightning off the boat if the fish were to dodge em so as to not hit the boat itself.

RPCOMBAT: Raion defends against with a CAT'S-GRACE-II…36

Raion juuuuuust barely manages to escape getting crushed by mutafish body, gracefully slipping away aaand… Time to SCRATCHIE SCRATCH this dumb mutant fishy more! "This one seems ESPECIALLY angry! It will get ESPECIALLY SHREDDED." Raion's oval eyes narrow out even more, becoming closer to diamonds. He pops his claws off quickly and pops them into his pocket, as his natural claws extend. His fangs extend as well, and in general he just seems a lot more cat-like. He drops down onto all fours and begins to become a blur once again. A fish attacked him! INSULT! FOOD IS FIGHTING! That's not actually what he's thinking though.

The fish would sort of run around, flail about, and flop across the deck to try and avoid getting knocked away. Of course, the shinobi are eventually able to get rid of them all, with Raion gathering a bit of evidence in the form of shredded fish. Maybe Kumo can analyze that data down the line? Would be nice to figure out how these fish came to be… Also, zapzaps from Arashi short-circuited some of their hearts and brains, so a few of them were whole.

Sakuya would raise her hand towards the captain, who was likely just as confused as the rest of the shinobi. "Alright! This is enough! Captain, please turn us around!" They had dead examples of these… strange creatures. That was enough to have a medical team dissect them and do their science. Sakuya felt that this could only get worse and worse as time progressed, and retreat was important before solving this problem. "We're done, everyone! Before they start jumping on deck again, let's get away." Too dangerous. If they are capable of growing limbs, they are capable of doing other strange things.
Sakuya released her serpent, allowing him to return into the white snake he happens to be. "Fair job, everyone. Especially you, Raion. Great speed." Good effort! Better than her effort…

Yume breathes in heavy pants as her cane hits the deck one last time as the fish start to flop away off the deck. She lets her head hang as she catches her breath, and straightens up while fixing her cloak. She nods her head at Sakuya when she requests that they be turned around, and warily turns her head to look at one end of the deck on her way over to return to the place she was sitting before. Her attention returns to where Raion last was, and she asks him, "Are you feeling okay? It looked like its tail got you a bit…Arashi should have some more bandages if you think it broke the skin. Maybe some compresses if it feels like that it's starting to swell into a knot."

Arashi just eyes the fish and shakes his head. "Weird. Weird fish." He sighed and just walked over to Raion. "Yeah I have bandages. Here let me make sure that is at least patched up." With a few supplies quickly grabbed it wouldn't take long to do that before he would just start collecting the fish and piling them up off to the side. "I am sure Amani will have fun with this. I mean just look at it." He poked one of the fish limbs. "Weird." He chucked and just began on ship work.

COMBAT: Arashi heals Raion for 369 with FIRST AID.
RP: Raion reverts to his normal state.

Raion sighs as he reverts back to normal, he doesn't stop Arashi from bandaging, but as soon as he starts, Raion helps out as his hand begins to glow blue, and he heals the wound as best he can. "I'll be perfectly fine. Thank you though!" Raion is all smiles again, as he holds glowy light against his head, healing. He then looks at Sakuya. "Thank you! Good to hear I'm doing well! Hehe."

COMBAT: Raion heals Raion for 369 with LIGHT HEALING JUTSU.

The folk that were sailing the ship were mostly just soaked through during the battle with the fish… The captain looked mighty confused. "I seen a lotta strange things, but that beats the lot of them," he declares to Sakuya. "Alright, men! Let's get back t' Kumo!" he yells out, sending his crew into a flurry of activity.

Sakuya would turn towards her group, rubbing her head as she moved over to side-railing, looking into the water. "… We were never in any real danger… I mean, they were fish!" Sakuya got… Outperformed by a fish too. She isn't sure if she should be specific in her report as a result! At least it didn't seem like it was the Storm Brigade who had the power to mutate living things!
