Summary:
An escaped Kumogakure prisoner made his way to the Land of Wind to see just what this mysterious red mist was… Unfortunately for him, Sunagakure heard of his intentions.

Land of Wind
So there's likely been some word going around that Kumogakure had some escaped prisoners… And a few had escaped and decided to camp out in the Land of Wind. Apparently one bad guy decided that it would be a great idea to try and use some of that red mist that he's been hearing about to try and poison all the shinobi, and he's hired a few body guards to protect him while he made his way to the ruins.
Naturally, Sunagakure heard these rumors and decided to intercept the man during his travels. A team of Sunagakure shinobi, led by Shintario, was sent out to start their journey across the desert before the sun started to rise. It was expected that they would meet the target at the half-way point between the ruins and the mountains near the Land of Earth border.
Arika is waiting impatiently for the team by the gate, wondering idly just when the team would show up. As soon as they do, she perks up and waves to those she knows and likes, likely climbing on top of a certain familiar's back for part of the journey. "So, what're we gonna do when we find the person?" she wonders.
Zankaru got told to show up and go on this mission. It wasn't really something that unusual, the genin told to do things around the village all the time. So with a small pack on his back, not enough to throw off his ability to use his tattoos, he'd show up with the others. A polite nod is given to Arika with an easy going smile. He'd look around for the others, waiting until it was time to go before he'd head off with them.
Shintario was third to show up being selected leader was annoying however after looking at the roster he felt optimistic about the outcome. His long blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail, the red markings on his forehead and lower eyeliner were a brighter shade of to red. Freshly packed chakra sand rested on his hip as a large but not overly sized large gouge rested. Shintario looked at Arika "your looking rather inpatient as usual, try not to bring that attitude to the mission." Shintario teased her then he peers towards Zankaru and smiled "your a new face." Shintario looked the mission over before smirking "bright side its straight forward for the most part." Shintario got hands on his gear making sure he had ever and instructed everyone to do the same.
Last to arrive is Miyako, or maybe first, who knows due to the way she arrives, as the Genin literally comes up out of the sand without leaving a hole where she comes up from. "I think we should capture him and bring him back for study if at all possible," she says as she looks around at the team. "If our Medics know what this stuff does, we have a better chance of dealing with it if it expands and reaches the village."

Arika shrugs a bit. "I dunno. He doesn't seem to know about the gas outside of rumors, if he's going after it. If he knows something about it, though, I guess he should be taken." Yep, she's perched on Miyako's back for the trip. The girl makes sure to keep an eye out for anything suspicious while traveling, but the trail (at least over ground) is quiet and not filled with anything but a random scorpion or lizard. At the rate they were traveling, it would likely take until sunrise to reach the meetup point. Right on time.

Zankaru had a set of tattoos come off his heels and curl down around his feet. The lines would form into planes on the sand, giving Zan a perfect way to go skating over the surface. With that set up, Zankaru would follow along with the others. "We'll try. If he pushes, then he falls. Otherwise, we get him. I guess that's just how it goes."

Mulling it over be shrugged "take him alive at all cost that's an order," Shintario put his natural senses to the test and tossed his perception outward so far nothing which was to be expected due to the distance from the meet up point. Peering around it's clear that every got the same idea to scout. Shintario yawned as he reached for his bottle water taking a couple sips before placing it back onto his hip. This journey was going smooth thus far he hopes this pace would keep up.
Miyako smirks slightly as Shintario makes her ideas the orders for the mission, nodding to him and then looking up at girl on her back. "It's more fun to try and capture than to just kill if you like a challenge anyway." A smile rests on her face as they walk along, the Genin rather confident that they'll accomplish this mission one way or another.
Arika considers, then nods a bit, not minding the fact that they simply need to capture. She could do that, hopefully. The girl continue to keep an eye out for anything, and eventually the four would notice a small bump on the horizon. Four, actually… They sometimes grouped together so the number would look smaller, but occasionally one would rush ahead or fall behind. "I think we caught up," Arika comments, pointing over Miyako's shoulder to indicate the travelers.
Shintario looked ahead and nodded "it appears we have, you two flank while I engage the targets. Zankuro can hang out in the rear watching our six at all times until further ordered. Also leave one alive to instrsct further information." Shintario spoke slow and clear and once finished he made haste in approaching the group. However went slow enough so that everyone could move into their position. Everything had to flow right in order to have fighting power superiority over the targets. "Hello I'm lost could you guys point me into the right direction?" Shintario smug and attitude could be registered as he stood there with his arms acrossed his chest.
Nodding to Shintario, Miyako sets Arika down then seems to literally fall apart into sand that floats off in the opposite direction of Arika to flank around the travelers and wait. To the unattentive she's just now part of any other sandstorm that passes through with the breezes of the area.

Arika, when she's set down, tries to duck and stay low as she makes her way over to the bodyguards. Something must have tipped the enemy off, though… Whether it was Arika, Miyako, the guards' attentions turned to the duo approaching, and they quickly reacted, two bursts of lightning speeding towards the pair. "Take cover!" one of them shouts, shoving someone to the ground in preparation of being attacked.

Arika squeaks as she dances backwards from the Lightning arcs, using wind to aid her in sprinting away. The girl narrows her eyes a bit and draws kunai as she runs, planting a foot so she can turn around and start charging towards the bodyguards. As she does, the kunai in her hand are sent flying at the one who attacked her.

Noticing the girls being attacked pissed him off and thus reaction is all that could be said. Two binding coffins would attempt to ensnare two of them while he shouted out further orders. "Zankaru give me support by fire while the girls recover and retaliate. "Girls maneuver right pushing them to the cliff side move now!?" Shintario poured more power and chakra into the bonds as he started to squeeze.

BZZZZZZZT!!!! When she's struck by the lightning, Miyako falls out of the sand and back to the ground to skid along the dirt. "Why you little," she grumbles as she picks herself back up, more annoyed that she left herself get hit than anything. Bringing her hands into a sand, she begins to use the very sand around the men to fight back, as orbs of sand begin to come like backwards rain from the ground with intent to pelt them and begin draining away at their chakra.

RP: Zankaru uses TATTOO-SKATES.
Zankaru responded tot he order by Shintario immediately. As he'd rush on those skates to get in closer while the sand saught to tackle the guards. His cloak flared open, those black lines streaking outward from him in the direction of both guards to seek to slam into them, stabbing with that acidic touch of the tattoo's edge as he'd keep in motion, to help him avoid any potential retaliation.

The bodyguards are quick to avoid the barrage of sand that seems to come out of nowhere, and the one even chucks the one he's to protect way off into the distance so that the man can scramble to try and get away. Towards the ruins… Don't let him escape! The guard who just threw the 'scientist' avoids the initial stabs, but then finds himself stuck in Shintario's sand coffin, which is, overall, an unpleasant experience that means he can't move and is likely going to be killed. So much fun, right? It's easy to stab a target that can't move, and those tattoos dig into his skin. The two that aren't occupied by sand coffins, which just happen to be the two lightning users, aim zap after zap at the shinobi, likely a tactic to buy time more than anything.
The man who was flung away has to take a moment to get his bearings and catch his breath, meaning there's a bit of time to try and catch up to him. Not much, but some… He scrambles to his feet and starts to make his way towards the ruins in the south-east, sneaking slowly to avoid being detected by those who are still fighting his guards.
Arika blinks when she sees someone go flying and immediately tries to chase after him. The girl makes a hand seal, then jumps up. As she falls, the girl does a flip that would bring a rush of air crashing down onto the runner, hopefully stopping him in his tracks.
Shintario assault was ruthless as he slammed the guard with hollowed out bullets before releasing the grip and shifting his attention towards one of the two zapping lightning. "Arika Miyako after them don't let any escape…Zankaru we'll take care of these three clowns and cover them." Shintario increased his chakra flow as he peered at the three men.
When the guards somehow get out of the way of her attacks but manage to get hit multiple times by others, Miyako just blinks. Are these guys drunk? As Arika darts off after the man that's been thrown, Miyako would move to place herself between the scientists and the bodyguards while bringing her hands into a seal once more to send another wave of orbs after them to give Arika a chance to catch up without interference.

Being more speed than strength, considering how the others are interacting with the guards, he started to go skating off after the scientist. Only to be called up short by Shintario. Glancing after Arika and Miyako, he'd frown in frustration but turn and head back for the guards on those skates to rush at them, once more seeking to stab out at all of them with those dark lines tipped with that acidic touch.

The man who was running didn't think an attack would hit him, but Arika's burst of wind extended far enough that he ended up sinking into the soft sand under his feet. This means that it's that much easier to catch up to him! Arika lands and dashes over to the man, knocking him out with a blow to his head before tying him up.
The bodyguards try to run after Arika, but they have to deal with a number of determined ninja that slow their attempts. While Zankaru and Shintario are both avoided (for the most part… That poor guy in the sand coffin was doomed to the extreme), but the second barrage of sand hit them as they were avoiding the initial attacks. The effect was that all the guards were either dead or down. The one in the coffin was a bloody mess, and the Lightning users were badly bruised and exhausted.
Out of range for his sand he flung dirt bombs towards them in an attempt to slow them down before approaching "good jobs keeps keep at it." Shintario oddly enough shouted no orders and at this point just allowed to group to function as each person pleased. He himself would be trying to get some words out of the scientist whom oh so recently took a little nap for now Shintario was confident in the team abilities to act on their own and provide cover if need be.
With the guards taken care of, Miyako turns and takes off to catch up with Arika and be sure she's alright and has her part taken care of. She grins at the sight of the girl having knocked the man out and bound him, nodding to Arika. "Great work, Ari-chan," she says as she steps over, peering down and then asking, "Want a lift back to the village? We could take off without the boys, or should we be nice and let them ride with us?"
Arika grins a bit and tugs the man out of the sand, peering at him for a second before glancing back to Miyako. "Let's go back without them!" She grins a bit wider. "But we should take this guy back, at least." The girl gestures to the unconscious scientist dude and clambers onto Miyako's back for a safe ride. Assumedly, Shintario and Zankaru took care of the guards, either killing them or tying them up to drag back to the village. Regardless, the guards were taken care of with ease and everyone returned to the village in once piece!
