"Tails of a Nara: Meeting the Three Tails"
Konoha Training Forest
It had been three months since the Three Tailed Turtle had been forcefully removed from his host and Konoha scrambled to find the next suitable host. One was found and the ceremony was completed successfully, and the remaining time up until now had been spent recovering and under observation for safety precautions. Only recently had the host been able to be out and about in a limited capacity, interacting and beginning its new life. As with any new Jinchuuriki, the high ranking officials and Jounin of the village were on edge, feeling overly cautious. But there was one ninja, someone well versed in the role of a Jinchuuriki, who had taken it upon himself to set each host, and there had already been three in 10 years, of Isobu on the right path towards a semblance of a normal life, and that was the Hokage of Konohagakure and the host of the Four Tailed Ape, Son Goku.
Today, the Hokage had called Tatsuo into the Toshiba Forest to show him something special. He stands, resting against a tree, waiting for the boy to arrive so that they could move from there towards the surprise, a Jinchuuriki training facility. The training ground that the First Hokage and her sister, Tobiramako, had made for Daisuke, had been shown to each Jinchuuriki that came after, a secret facility that looked exactly like another patch of forest, but reinforced by Hashi's natural energy housed within the trees around, and the spatial separation from the real forest thanks to Tobi's space/time ninjutsu. Only Jinchuuriki and Atsuro knew about the facility, so it was as safe as an area could be to train to your heart's content.
Tatsuo had of course answered the summons from the Hokage, because no one turns down such a thing when it comes. It's not really even an option. It had taken time and a great internal struggle after receiving the new bijuu and becoming it's host, and since then it was a struggle of a different sort as he tried to figure out how to fit into the world now. But even tempered Tatsuo is good at trudging forward no matter how glum it looks and so that's what he's been doing, going so far as to train as well as he can. Which is to say, not that great when you've lost all your old abilities. When they arrive at the new location the boy looks around wide-eyed, completely silent as he takes in the location and it's different feeling he studies the Hokage a little less. He just kind of…stops and stares about.
"This area is specially prepared to take on the greatest of explosions from the strongest of Jinchuuriki, to keep everything contained within, and to prevent any kind of leaks to the outside world of one were to lose themselves within." the Hokage explains to Tatsuo as he closes and seals the door behind, the door disappearing into a tree trunk. "It is the easiest place to train in a specific form of jutsu, one using the chakra of your sealed Bijuu." he continues to explain, walking through the trees with Tatsuo.
As the trees recede and they come to an open area with a rocky terrain, the Hokage climbs up on a nearby boulder, beckoning Tatsuo up beside him. Up on the rock, one could see most of the area, the nearby small lake, the signs of wear and tear from using the facility evident in the occasional small crater or broken tree, but for the most part the area looked exactly like the Toshiba Forest. The Hokage takes a seat ontop of the boulder, letting Tatsuo know it was ok for him to as well by patting the ground beside him. "It has been just over 3 months since you sacrificed your old life for the village, Tatsuo. How are things going so far?" he asks the boy.
Tatsuo remains silent as he walks with the Hokage, his eyes scanning around as they go from dense forest, to not so dense forest, to a rocky area. As Daisuke explains the area's job he nods slowly, understanding what the man is talking about at least in part from stories, though not from anything he's yet seen…or experienced…in person. When invited up, the boy climbs after the older nin and sits on the rock, looking out over the area with wide, amazed eyes. "It's so…nice…" he says softly, mostly to himself. He shakes his head to clear his wandering thoughts and refocuses on the Hokage as he speaks. "It's…hard," Tatsuo admits after a moment of consideration. "The first few weeks were really hard, then it all seemed to slowly calm down. Now it's just…different, I guess. I can't do anything I could before. It's confusing." He glances over at the Hokage with wide eyes as he realizes what he's saying and quickly adds, "But it was worth it."
Daisuke chuckles a bit at the quick quip at the end, as if he had said something wrong. "It will be difficult adjusting. I like to think that the times are a lot better for the Jinchuuriki than what they used to be, but people will still be a little cautious, and there are still certain restrictions in place for them, lest we have what happened to the prior hosts happen again. What I was mostly wondering was how you were sleeping and if any odd voices had popped up in your head." he says, looking at Tatsuo curiously. "When we sleep we are at our most vulnerable, and during that time is when an enemy would strike. The most important thing to remember about all this is that, while this may have not been a picnic for you, for the Bijuu inside you.." he says, pointing to Tatsuo's stomach, "..it was that much worse. A new host is a chance to finally break free from the endless cycle of being caged over and over. It isn't an evil intent, but a very basic one in all sentient beings, and very powerful in s ome, that being the dream of freedom."
Tatsuo's hand reflexively goes to his stomach again when Daisuke points there, a habit he's gotten into that he really needs to stop doing. But then it changed his entire life and isn't something he can exactly shrug off. The boy chews at his lip a little as he looks down at the hand resting over his stomach before he finally shakes his head, "Not…since the first few weeks. At first it was bad. The voice wanted out so bad but I wouldn't let it." He lets the hand drop to his knee as he continues, "I haven't heard it in almost a month now. I…don't know why…"
"Silence can be good, and it can be bad. You never know what that 'kid' is up to in there." Daisuke says with a chuckle. He looks out over the area from his seated position, the peaceful nature of the place only marred by the lack of wildlife sounds. "Today we will try to get in touch with that voice inside. For you to go ahead and start learning to control the vast amount of chakra within you now, you will need to learn communication. For this, we will need to focus on calming our minds and meditate, to enter the internal space within you where the beast is kept." he explains as he crosses his feet to get ready. He was interested in what the internal domain of Tatsuo looked like, having seen multiple Jinchuuriki, each with their own internal space. "Once inside, whether the Bijuu reveals himself or just talks from within the shadows is completely up to them, but regardless communication methods will be established. Are you ready?"
Tatsuo's first reaction to what they were going to do is quite plain on his face. A spike of fear, aprehension. Something he'd been perhaps dreadding. The boy swallows visibly before he nods to Daisuke, always pushing on despite what his own thoughts might be. "Hai, Hokage-dono," he says softly, folding his own legs beneath him in the same pose as the Hokage while trying to calm himself down. It seems to work. Slowly, but it works.
Daisuke must've noticed the apprehension in Tatsuo's voice or on his face, because he looks over at the boy and smiles. "I will be there with you the whole time, don't worry." he says as he watches the boy get into position and begin meditating. For now, the Hokage does the same, slowing his breathing and resting his mind, briefly talking with Son about the visit they were going to pay to the Three Tails' new home and to behave, etc. He awaits Tatsuo's transition into the domain with so that he can follow suit.
Tatsuo looks to Daisuke and nods slightly as he steels himself, then closes his eyes and takes a deep, calming breath. It doesn't take him long to reach the right state and then look inward, something he'd been avoiding until this very point. When his eyes open again what he finds is…strange. A softly lit area lined with shelves upon which many hundreds of books seemed to be stored. A thin layer of water covered the ground in it's entirety, yet there was an area near one of the shelves with some soft chairs that just seemed to float there. That are seemed a little brighter, perfect for reading. Further away was the cage, bars locked with the fresh seal firmly planted dead center. And behind the cage were eyes. Only eyes. Tatsuo freezes when his own eyes land there, immobile as fear creeps it's way through him.
As Tatsuo stares at the eyes, a hand clasps his shoulder. "Quite the nice place you have here. I can tell you are a Nara." says the voice of Daisuke as he walks past Tatsuo towards the cage and the eyes. Once he is in front of the cage, he looks up at the seal, examining it before nodding his head. He looks back to Tatsuo and beckons him forward. "Only as far as you want, of course." he says to the boy before turning back towards the eyes, seemingly conversing with the beast quietly. Things needed to be explained, of course, as to what had happened, how Takeo was doing, etc, as well as issuing an apology to the beast in private before he would wait for Tatsuo.
Way to give a kid a heart attack! Tatsuo nearly jumps out of his skin at the touch and his heart is beating rather quickly. Despite what the Hokage had said, the boy was still a little surprised to find the man there. At least the scare unfroze him and he was able to look around more. While part of him wanted to see what was up with the books, he was drawn more towards the eyes, what with it being a mystery. A mystery that lived inside of him. He walks forward, steps almost halting at first but eventually they're a little more normal and he stops right next to Daisuke. His fear is telling him to stay back, but his brain wants the knowledge of this thing. To inspect it.
Daisuke stands there, looking down at Tatsuo as he steps up beside him. "Nara Tatsuo, this is the Three Tailed Turtle. Whether both of you like it or not, the quality of life you both experience from now on is based on your relationship from this point forward. As for a name, well…" he says, looking up at the eyes. "I'm a bit traditional with that. I will leave it up to your growing bond and his own decision as to when he feels confident enough to trust you and reveal it." As the introduction is completed, Daisuke moves off to the side to rest on one of those floating soft chairs to observe and referee, if needed.
Tatsuo listens to the Hokage without actually looking over and up at the man. His eyes are fixated at those which stare back at him from beyond the bars. "H-hi…" Tatsuo says haltingly as Daisuke walks away. He receives no response from beyond and the boy chews his lip uncertainly. "I'm Nara Tatsuo…I'm your new host. Um…I'll try and do everything I can to make things comfortable for you." The boy bows deeply to the bijuu, respectfully. As he straightens the eyes have shifted a little…closer. But then it almost seems like the shadows moved with it, to stay hidden. Timidly, Tatsuo extends a hand towards the bars, but just before he breaches the area the turtle snaps loudly at him, scaring him enough to make him fall backwards on his rump in the water. "Ah…uh…sorry…"

"Ah…uh…sorry…" The boy picks himself up quickly as he watches after the creature, which has again backed away. There doesn't seem to be much he can do at this point, so the boy only bows again to the turtle. "It was nice to meet you," he says formally, respectfully. Only then does he turn back to Daisuke and walk towards the Hokage, not watching as the turtle again comes closer to the bar, watching him. "I'm sorry Hokage-dono. I…will try again later."
Daisuke shakes his head at Isobu's actions, like a child throwing a tantrum. It wasn't his place to get involved in the starting of the relationship, though. That would be Tatsuo's. "It's quite alright. This was just a first meeting to get you used to communication, or lack thereof." he says, looking back at Isobu and giving him a 'look' before he leads the boy out of the inner domain. He opens his eyes back in the training facility, waiting for Tatsuo to open his before he would go over some things. Things like not getting too close or risky for now, not trying to draw on the chakra until he had trained Tatsuo, and a whole bunch of more knowledge passed on from one Jinchuuriki to the next. As they head out of the facility, Daisuke also shows Tatsuo how to get in and out, and where the hidden entrance markers were before parting ways.
"I will continue to watch you progress with your abilities. I imagine your water manipulation skills will improve quickly, so use that to your advantage. After a time monitoring your progress, I will call you again to begin to train to draw the chakra out in moderation. For now, do your best to live like a normal Genin and keep your friend a secret."
