Training Area #26 - Chuunin Training [Konohagakure]

This Chuunin area looks a little more unfriendly compared to the Genin training ground. A path leads to a small pond up ahead from the entrance. On both sides of the path looks to be an endless stretch of forest life. The trees themselve looks to be scrapped up alot and worn down from a lot of sharp objects and blunt attacks. There was no telling what kind of dangerous animals lurk about in the forest, but it isn't uncommon to hear a few threatening noises.
Getting closer to the pond that seems to be placed perfectly in the middle of the area, there are wooden posts lining all around the small body of water. Every now and then a few animals would come out to get a drink of the pond's water.

With the sound of combat~
No. Seriously. The sound of trees and stone being smashed by someone training particularly hard would echo through the training grounds, even if he was in one of the most remote sections of it. Soren was training, his partner, Ayame, doing her best to keep up with the summoner, as they sparred. Ayame let out a burst of a few cyan fireballs, letting them explode around where Soren should be, only to find him now about 10 meters to the left of her attacks.
Soren followed up by closing on her in an instant, readying a punch, before stopping just short of the foxes side. "Come on little one. Keep up!" He says with a grin, flickering about the little arena they had to themselves.
It was just getting into afternoon. Lunch was an hour or so gone, and the training grounds were in full swing otherwise, but most people were keeping their distance.
She had planned to check out the chuunin training area today if allowed. Being so new here in Konohagakure, Chiasa still isn't sure where she is and isn't allowed to go. Her steps are quick and directed, but she doesn't seem to be in any great rush as she heads toward the area, content to get there when she gets there. Eventually though, she arrives at the pond though and stops, peering about to see what she can see. Hands reach up to run through her fair hair and then she hears it.. Something dying or being killed.
Curiosity peaked, Chiasa heads toward the source of the horrible sounds. She's careful to stay away from anyone else training as to not inadvertently be killed. When she arrives, she pauses partly behind one of the trees, peering at the sight of Soren and a fox? The woman isn't exactly hidden, but she isn't just waltzing in to watch the training from up close either.
Daichi was running around to train himself, and got distracted by nearby sounds. Being curious he decided that he would go find out who it was out there. It wouldn't take long to track down the noise being as loud as it was, and the closer he got the louder it got. When he was in range he heard speaking, and it sounded like maybe it was someone training with their student. When he arrived he climbed up in a tree because he had spotted that is what in fact a guy there, but not training a student. In fact it was a fox… Interesting. So then he pulled out his notebook to do a few sketches.
Soren flickered around, letting the fox try to explode him more. Each attack seemed to explode with considerable force, but the grass and trees seemed unfased by the attacks unleashed by the fox. When finally the attacks came to a halt, Ayame trying to refocus again, Soren dashed in. And in a step, Soren was back on her side, poking her in the ribs. "Third time little one. Ok, time for a break." he says, patting the fox's head for a moment, before dropping down. "We seem to have an audience." he says with a snicker.
Ayame was gonna get him! She was gonna get him! She DIDN'T GET HIM. HOW!?!? She sighed, her ears dropping as she dropped down onto his shoulder from her own perch on a tree branch.
Soren then offered a wave to both Chiasa, and Daichi, motioning them closer. Once you get closer, it's pretty clear that the fox is pretty winded, but Soren's not even breathing hard.
The woman doesn't move until Soren motions for her and Daichi to come closer. When he does though, Chiasa steps out from behind the tree and approaches, glancing about at all the damage as she comes nearer. "Hello. I'm Chiasa." Her attention turns briefly away from the 'new thing' to address Daichi and she smiles to the boy. "Daichi-san, it's good to see you. I didn't expect to come across you out here."
Her eyes move back to Soren and Ayame, curious as to their relationship. The fox obviously is a ninja pet of some sort, but with her being so new to the ways of actually /trained/ shinobi, she has no idea.
Daichi at first did notice him being gestured to. He was busy drawing the sight in front of him as it was intriguing to him. Of course when gestured to he puts it away for another time, and moves over to where they are now. Hopping off tree branch to land nearby, and he noticed the tired fox. "You out here training? That look like it was really tiring. Looked fun though, and looked like it is something that could help a lot." When he noticed Chiasa as well he smiles at her waving in her direction. "Hey Chiasa!"
Ayame grinned, still panting. "Fun… but definitely tiring." she says with a grin, hopping off of Soren, and padding over between Chiasa and Daichi, making a face that just cries 'pet me'. <9.9>
Soren grins, and shakes his head. "It does help her… although, we don't get to do this nearly as often as I'd like." he says with a smile, dipping his head. "Nice to see you agian Daichi-san. And Chiasa, was it? A pleasure to meet you." he says bowing lightly. "Inuzuka Soren, at your service. This is my partner, Ayame." he says, motioning towards the fox at her feet.
"Sorry if we were making a ruckus though. I find actually sparring is the best way to really get experience, you know?" he says, scratching his cheek a bit.
Looking down to Ayame, Chiasa is lulled by the cuteness and finds herself giving into the manipulation that the fox is -obviously- wielding to control her mind. Why else would the woman suddenly drop to her knees as if draw by a magnetic force and quite 'unwillingly' make soft noises of adoration, "Youarejustthecutestwittleittybittythingever.." Chiasa pets Ayame, unable to stop the impulse.
As the initial affects of pet-me-no-jutsu wear off, she looks back up to Soren and Daichi, "Yeah, spars are a good way to train. And don't worry about making a ruckus. I came out here to watch and see what is expected of the higher ranking ninja so I can be training more efficiently myself." She blushes lightly and adds, "I have a ways to go…"
Daichi would join Chiasa in petting Ayame as well, but is not actually as drawn in as Chiasa is. He seems distracted by the talk from Soren some. "I like sparring as well. It is a good way for me to train as I see how people react to my attacks, and because of that can react to their reactions. I also enjoy training with others, and that is an easy way to do so." With his free hand that is not petting Ayame he scratches at the side of his cheek before speaking again. "Uhhh you just got to know not to go to far with it. No reason to seriously hurt your friends."
Soren snickers at Chiasa's reaction. The young man couldn't help but find her reaction entirely amusing. He looked at her, and shook his head. "Don't use me for a marker." he says with a smirk. "Compared to the people I learned along side, I'm actually still quite weak." he says with a small grin. Then he looks back at Daichi. "Agreed. The people I train with honestly have trouble with that bit." he says with a slightly bigger grin.
Ayame just makes the happiest fox noise you've ever heard, before pawing at Chiasa's lap, standing with her front legs on the lap, while leaning into Daichi's hand. This was *perfect*.
The cute noise Ayame makes causes the influence of Ayame's technique to be renewed, drawing Chiasa back in like a compass pointing to true north. "Awwwwyouaresocuteandfluffyandijustwannasnuggleyouup…" And with that, she does, leaning forward to hug and snuggle the fox, petting and scratching and ruffling all the while. Afterward, Chiasa sits up, flustered by all the cute, her lap an open space for Ayame to claim if she so desires. "I need to get a pet, I think…"
Jutsu fading, she glances back up to Daichi and Soren, feeling as though she might have missed part of what they were saying. "I find that being hurt will push you. Just as long as it doesn't go too far."
As Chiasa pulls Ayame into a hug and such Daichi flails away from fear of being grabbed as well. "Ummm…. Okay then." He scoots off to the side slightly before looking back to Soren. "I may spar to much… I don't have a problem with it, and most of the time do not substain dangerous injuries.. So I think I am finedoing it. Everyone always beats me though. It just gives me something to work to.'
Ayame grinned as she hopped up into Chiasa's lap, leaning into her, and making the happiest fox sounds. "Soren's enjoyed having our contract." Ayame says with a big purr. Then her ears shoot up. "Ooh! We shoul-"
"No. I am not introducing her to the elders." he says, rolling his eyes.
Ayame harumphs, and sits back down in Chiasa's lap. "You're no fun anymore…"
"I'll take that as a compliment." he looks at Chiasa though, and tilts a head. "Being hurt can drive you… I'd point out some scars, but I don't have them anymore." he says with a grin. Then back to Daichi. "Don't rush it. It'll come in time. As long as you keep striving, you'll eventually be great." he says with a nod.
Chiasa glances between Soren and Ayame, seeming confused. Nevermind that the fox can talk. That's craaaazy. But she did see it fighting before so not entirely surprising. If the woman could purr, she would be, but she seems content to just relax with Ayame, drawing her fingers in long strokes from the fox's head and down her spine, over and over.
"Yeah.. I mean, you don't want to really get hurt. But, just for example.. I was sparring someone the other day and was holding back and then that person hit me really, really hard with water jutsu which made me want to stop holding back. You know, if we're in the field, we can't always be like that. Not using our abilities appropriately when needed because we're afraid of hurting others could kill someone." Chiasa shrugs slightly, not being argumentative about it, but moreso, just making conversation.
Daichi looks at Chiasa with a slight frown. "Was it Tatsuo?" Of course having no idea he decided to just listen to them speak for a moment as he pulled out his notebook. As he opened it he switched between two different pages before after a small moment settling on one. When he did so he scooted away as to keep the notebook out of sight of the others here.
Soren sighed, and nodded. "I completely understand. I've had moments where I've struggled to hold back myself." he says with a shrug. "We must always keep control, but there are times where it's good to cut loose. You just have to make sure they can take it." he says with a nod. "Control and power in equal measures. That's what makes a truly great man. Or woman in this case." he says with a shrug.
Ayame smiled, leaning into the woman with abundant pettings. She smiled and she purred.
Chiasa listens to Soren, nodding in agreement with the man. After a moment, she rises to her feet, taking Ayame with her and cradling the fox against her chest, still gently petting. "I hope one day I'll be able to be a good example to someone else." She offers Ayame back to Soren with a smile, the unspoken 'As you are to us' implied in her words. Her eyes turn to Daichi and his book, absently wondering how his drawing is coming along. "Would… either of you like to train now? If not, I might head back over to the genin grounds to work on some things…"
Daichi looks at Chiasa with a slight smile. "I would like to train some. I think I have mastered that whirlwind technique that Eremi showed us… well I can't create winds from it right now though." He stands up closing the notebook as he does, so no one sees the drawing. Then he puts it away. "So… Any ideas on what you want to do?"
Chiasa sizes Daichi up briefly. She's seen him practice before and saw the 'whirlwind technique' Eremi had been teaching him. It looked scary, but being afraid isn't acceptable! "Well, since there's more than one of us, we could spar. If I wanted to just work on general exercises, I would go train on my own." She looks between Daichi and Soren hopefully. If she's going to be working with people here, she needs to know what they can do, and they need to know the same about her. It's time to get over the shyness that she's carried around for so long.
Daichi peers up excitedly. "I would not mind some training, and a spar like discussed can be the best form of it. So just me and you Chiasa?" Then he peers over towards Soren. "Or will you be joining as well….maybe both me and Chiasa could spar you?" He grins from ear to ear at the idea, and stands next to Chiasa. "You wouldn't mind that right Chiasa?"
Chiasa nods. "That sounds like a good idea if Soren is willing to be the target. Otherwise, I can just spar you, Daichi-san, and he can give us some pointers to improve." The woman takes a moment, closing her eyes and beginning to focus her chakra in preparation for the training. Once finished, she relaxes, looking back to them in anticipation.
Then, she pauses, as though remembering something, "Oh! And yes, it was Tatsuo that I fought the other day. He got me really good with those water lances and then managed to trap me." She grimaces, remembering how much the lances hurt, but the healing afterward was nice. A lot of people wouldn't have bothered.

Daichi looks at Soren expectantly. "Come on Soren you should spar us. I won't hurt you too much….if I do at all." He frowns slighty before looking back at Chiasa. "Figured it was Tatsuo… I wonder why he did that with you. He never goes overboard with me, and usually only uses basic needles and such. I wonder if he is afraid to hurt me, or something." Daichi frowns before just looking at Soren again.
"I am an earth ninjutsuist, Daichi-san. It was enough to put us on even ground. We landed up pushing one another because of our contrasting elements." She lowers her hand, tapping the pouch on her leg in thought. "He has much more variety than I do though in the types of abilities he wields. A medical ninjutsuist on top of being a water ninjutsuist… I guess the academies really do help one to expand their knowledge into more areas." Chiasa shakes her head slightly as she muses over the idea. She glances once to Soren and then back to Daichi, squaring off against the boy. "Alright, let's me and you spar and we'll let Soren decide what he wishes to do. I'm ready, Daichi-san. Attack me."
Daichi nods slowly. "I suppose your right Chiasa." Then after listening some more he moves to a position for better sparring. "Alright Chiasa…here I come." Daichi charges her as quickly as he can, and decides first to just throw different random attacks. He starts with a kick aimed for her side before using the opposite hand to make sure she doesn't grab a hold on him. Then moving away some he throws a third punch.

Chiasa fails to defend herself in just about every way when Daichi attacks her. She tries clones and the replacement technique, but soon finds herself simply stumbling back away from the boy, bruised and holding her nose. She does start to lose her head a bit, which is likely a bad thing. Something she will need to learn to control. In response to the attacks, the woman reaches into the earth with her seals and sends spikes of it toward Daichi in an attempt to cut up his legs.

Daichi freezes as he did more then he expected. He looks slighty sad as he thinks he hurt her a little to much, but she attacks quickly it seems. He flips away as soon as he can, but gets a cut on his leg. "Ummm… Sorry for that Chiasa." She seemed fine though so he would continue, but all he did this round was throw three kunai from his position. They were all aimed only to glance. He didn't want to hurt her to much.

The woman dodges his attacks by moving the earth beneath her feet. It looks for a moment as if she might just be gliding around, but if one looks closely enough, they'll see the shifting dirt, working around to give her speed that she otherwise wouldn't have. She pauses before counter attacking however, pulling a small container of balm from her pocket and applying the contents to a cut on her lip. "It's alright, Daichi-san. I need people to push me to be better. I tend to hold back if others do as well. Are you going to continue to take it easy on me, Daichi-san, or would you like to see what I can really do?" She slides the balm back into her pocket and rests her hand on the pouch attached to her leg.

Daichi looks at her with a slight frown. "I would always be holding back unless I took these weights off. And Eremi told me I should train with them on. So… I will continue doing that for training purposes. Otherwise I won't go easy on you." Daichi charges quickly once more going for a quick leg sweep. Then when she hopefully falls, but even if she doesn't he will throw two punches before jumping away.

"I see. Well, Eremi would know what is best for a taijutsuist." She responds to Daichi's attacks in much the same manner as before, her hands forming into seals to activate the earth beneath her feet to move and shift. She falls still again, looking to Daichi for a moment. The woman takes a small strip of cloth from her other pocket and uses it to gently bind up a portion of her arm where Daichi hit her before, feeling the pain ease.. er, well change into more of a dull throb as she does so. "Training on your own, I could see. Strengthening your general movement through daily tasks, yes. But for sparring.. Daichi, Eremi might disagree with me, but you need to know your limits as much as I do." She opens the pouch on her leg and removes a scroll, holding it up for him to see. "Take them off and I'll show you what's in this."

Daichi stares uncertain, and ponders it. "I suppose your right. Alright I will take them off if you show me what is in there." He begans taking off his weights which allows him to move even quicker then before. Which allows for him to quickly go for two punches, and then imagining she would do the same thing as before he does it. He jumps into the air spinning, and going for the leaf whirlwind.

Chiasa avoids his attacks in much the same way as before, allowing the earth to grant her speed. She emits a small whistle after the last one, nodding to Daichi. "You're getting good at that. Alright, as promised…" The woman releases the contents of the scroll, which appears to be sand. The substance bursts out in a sandy fountain and settles upon the ground around her. Chiasa tosses away the remnants of the scroll and forms hand seals again. The sand around her begins to change and take shape, clones of herself rising out of it. Just two for now, but she'll make more if she needs to. Both leap at Daichi in an attack, seeming to have some goal of just throwing themselves against him.

Daichi was unable to hit her again sadly. He frowned slightly, but when she pulls of the scrolls he grins some. Then she jumps at him, or not her. They were clones of her. Made of pure sand. He flips backwards using his hands to push off into the air landing on the tree behind him. Then he runs down the tree off it onto the ground, and jumping into the air doing another leaf whirlwind. He continues spinning as he touches the ground to knock her onto the ground before then punching her as she lands.

Chiasa attempts to avoid his attacks the same as before, but fines herself quickly on the ground begind punched. She makes a 'ack!' noise and then forms her hand seals again to create more clones. The sand creations leap at Daichi, attempting to knock him away from the grounded real Chiasa. Meanwhile, she attempts to get up, watching the progress of the clones and gently rubbing the spot where he hit her.

Daichi frowns once more as he hits each time. Of course she seems okay as more clones come his way. Luckily with the weights off he has no problem avoiding them, and then he stares at her as she gets up. "You still able to keep going? Well just tell me when we should stop." He charges again only throwing three different punches.

Chiasa uses the same technique as before, avoid each attack in turn. When she stops moving, she shakes her head, seeming a bit winded. With that, she pulls another scroll from her pocket and places it on the ground, open and face up. Then she begins to slowly collect the sand atop it using her ninjutsu. She inwardly scorns herself for not having found a better method of dealing with this yet. "Thank you for the spar."
Daichi looks at her, and nods. "Okay Chiasa. Your probably right. I could use some other training as well. Good fight though." He collects his weights again putting them back on his legs. Before moving up into a nearby tree, and drawing some more. "Thanks again Chiasa… I hope to spar you again sometime."
